"Alright," Aaron said, drawing his weapon. "Keep your guard up, though. If I'm right, there will be quite a few of the undead in there taking advantage of the warmth. I'll check it ouf first, when I give the clear, you follow in."
Normally, Aaron would have just sent his companion in first, too much of a coward to do something himself, but this was different. Although Cameron seemed like a good companion, he didn't know if Cameron knew what he was doing. One simple mistake, could screw himself over. Aaron didn't like risks, but right now, he didn't want to get himself screwed over in an easily avoided accident.
Quietly, Aaron walked up towards the doors to the hotel, and looked through the glass windows upon them. It seemed almost too peaceful in there. With caution, he slowly pushed open the door, and stepped into the building. Scanning the room showed no signs of any recent life traveling within the building, but perhaps it was just luck. When it was all clear, he waved Cameron in, and lowered his weapon.
"This place looks like it's been deserted for a while. Kind of strange, if you ask me."

Cameron quickly carried his stuff to the hotel. He stepped inside the door and set his gear down. Food, blankets, water, was all that he carried besides his weapons. He turned back to lock the SUV and set the alarm.
Looking around he had to agree with Aaron. "You're telling me. I'm expecting to walk into the ballroom and see Jack Nicholson typing on a typewriter and twins in the hallway."
Something was weird about this place. It was deserted, but not run down. It was far enough off the road to make it being deserted not surprising, but it wasn't too far that Cameron expected to see someone here.
"Well, now, do we explore the building and look for trouble or do we set up in one of the rooms or foyer and try to keep away from trouble?"
To Cameron, he wanted to do both. He wanted to be safe, but his curiosity of this place was just too much.

As much as Aaron wanted to just spend the night asleep, Cameron's idea sounded a lot more exhilarating. Shaking his head, he turned towards Cameron. "We'll check the building out first. See if there are any supplies, or maybe even survivors; though the latter seems a little unrealistic." Drawing his weapon, Aaron stepped out into the large halls of the hotel with his flashlight in hand to illuminate his way through the darkness. "Stay close."
Although he hated to admit it, darkness one of Aaron's strongest fears. With every step he took in the pitch-black hallway, memories of being locked in his basement by his stepbrother flooded through his mind. A chill went up his spine as he remembered the cold steel of his stepbrother's knife stabbing through his skin. Suddenly, he began to hear clicking. "Did you hear something?" he asked Cameron. With a deep breath, Aaron tried to pull himself together and continue walking again. Seconds passed before he heard the clicking again, followed by a strange hiss coming from in front of him. Pointing his flashlight at where he heard the sound, he was greeted with a horrifying sight.
Crawling along the ceiling was something that slaughtered hundreds of officers: a licker. Shocked, Aaron began backing up only to trip, alerting the licker of his presence . His flashlight hurdled out of his hand; they were now in complete darkness. "Sh*t!" he said as he heard something, presumably the licker, fall to the ground. Unless Cameron was carrying some sort of a light, they were now fighting a licker in the darkness.

Cameron picked up his rifle and his handgun and followed Aaron down the hallway. He stayed behind Aaron but off to the side so that he could have a clear shot if he needed it. As the made their way down the hallway, Aaron spoked about a clicking sound.
“Dude, I thought that was in my head. I don’t know… I don’t hear it anymore.” It was only seconds later when Aaron shown his flashlight up above them and illuminated some creature crawling along the ceiling.
“What the frack is that?” hissed Cameron, aiming his gun upward. That’s when Aaron tripped and dropped his light, bumping into Cameron. His aim went wide and he pulled the trigger, firing off a single shot from his rifle. Down the corridor, he heard another hiss and more clicking. He grabbed for his flashlight and turned it on, illuminating the corridor.
The licker was gone, but Cameron knew that he hadn’t scared it off. It was probably trying to ambush them. “How about we sleep in the truck tonight?” he said, trying unsuccessfully to keep his voice from shaking.
Now the clicking was behind them. Cameron spun around, but couldn’t see anything. Hissing came from all over, seeming to echo down the near empty corridor. Spotting movement in the shadows, he when to the nearest door and opened it, shining his light in. Nothing appeared to jump out at him from the room so he entered it, waving Aaron in as well. Then he shut the door.
“What the hell was that thing?” asked Cameron. He had never seen something like that.

Breathing deeply, Aaron attempted to calm down after his life had flashed before his eyes. "Among the R.P.D., we've deemed those creatures as 'Lickers.'" he tried not to remember all the friends he had lost due to the predatory skills of the mutant. "I'm not sure how they came to exist, but I sure as hell know that they're probably one of the most deadly creatures in this apocalypse, maybe even more so than the red runners. he took a deep breath. These monsters came in many shapes and forms. It almost sickened him thinking of it.
With a sigh, Aaron shrugged. "Sleeping in the truck is probably our best option if we don't want to end up licker chow. Though sleeping in the truck probably wouldn't be any better; our scents will attract the walkers." he said, obviously frustrated. "If you want, I'll drive while you sleep, and we'll switch back and forth. That would probably be the easier way of doing things." he yawned. If Cameron wanted to follow through with his plan, this was going to end up being a long night. It wouldn't be the first, though. The outbreak had ended up depriving him of days worth of rest. Thinking back, he couldn't remember a day where he got more than a couple hours of sleep.
"It is your truck." he said. "The choice is yours."

"I say we get the frack out of here", Cameron said, putting his hand on the door. He was about to turn it when he heard more clicking from outside... this time on the door. Cameron backed away. While it was a solid door, he didn't know how long it would take for the creature to get through.
Above them the ceiling creaked like a heavy weight had moved in the room above them. Cameron didn't want to think about what that was.
Cameron looked around the room, trying not to panic. The only way out was to fight their way down the hallway... or
"The window, check and see if it clear out there."
:: EDIT 03/02/2012 ::
A roar from outside, along with the shaking of the door in the frame was all the reason that Cameron needed. He ran to the window and slammed the butt of his rifle into the glass, breaking it. Then he ran the butt along the edges of the window frame, raking out the rest of the glass shards. Again the door shook and a crack appeared in door itself.
Cameron didn't wait around to find out what was on the other side of the door. He launched himself through the window, landing with an umph on the ground and rolling over. The wind was knocked out of him, but fear drove him to keep going. Somewhere in the room, a roar erupted, but Cameron was on his way to his truck, rifle in one hand, the other fishing the keys out of his pocket. He ran to the truck without looking back and unlocked it, and got in.
"Frack the supplies", he yelled and fired up the car. Something hit the side of his truck, rocking it back and forth. Cameron slammed his foot on the accelerator and the Tahoe fishtailed down the drive. At the road, he turned right, heading what he hoped would be away from Raccoon City.
"Damn that was close", he said looking over to the passenger seat.
