Arnold's has been abandoned for 17 years. The poor man went bankrupt right after opening the hotel. The place, for some reason, is in great condition. As if it had only been abandoned within the last week or so.

<Louis, Thorton, and Andreya Enter> Andreya's eyes slowly opened as she felt her body bobbing up and down. She looked around to realize that Thorton and Louis were running. She looked up at him tiredly, and for a moment thought about saying something. That was until she realized she didn't know what to say. She closed her eyes again and drifted to sleep. In the distance between the tree line was what looked to be like a three story large building with several balconies lining the second and third floor. To the right as they exited the path into the clearing was a parking lot, and a sign that read 'Welcome to the Arklay Hotel.' The place looked abandoned but still it looked in great condition like it had been taken care of for quite some time. Shifting in Thorton's arms. Andreya opened her eyes again. Shivering slightly, and soon enough it was followed by several heavy coughs. She rested her head against Thorton's chest. She wasn't feeling to well anymore and she hadn't been for a while. It was just recently though that she was starting to feel worse. On top of her body starting to scream in pain again, and her chest hurting as she painted heavily. She was drawing up a rather high fever, and her skin alone was rather hot to the touch. Still she gripped Thorton's shirt tightly as he held her and they made their way to the hotel.

They had ran the whole way, Thorton mightely carried Andreya in his arms, toughing out the trip. Upon reaching the Hotel parking lot, it felt nice to hit some pavement again, a change from the woods. Louis made sure to keep a close eye around them, but especially for Thortons sake, supplying cover fire was the least he could do. As they made there way to front doors, he opened them up, and allowed everyone inside, seeing a few undead walking from around the building. The doors would hold them off though, there wasnt many. The second they entered the place, Louis closed the door tightly behind them, and then ran for the nearest room. Opening the door, he cleared away all the junk off of the bed, and made it flat for Andreya.
Knowing Thorton would stay with her, Louis nodded to him, and then pulled out his MP5, scanning the bottem floor. Opening each room on the bottem floor, he quickly checked them all, but found no infected on this level. He made his way to the stairs to do the same with the upper level, again checking all the rooms. Swinging open one of the doors, he saw a group of undead feasting on several corpse. Backing out of the room, he slammed the door shut, and then raised his MP5. Reaching inside his jacket too see what he had that would be useful, he pulled out a chemical bottle that Andreya mixed awhile back. Getting ready, he swung open the door, smashed the bottle into the room, and then closed the door all in one string.
Seeing the toxic gas now start to seep out from under the door, he backed away, and covered his mouth with his collar. Louis had no idea what the mixture would do, but knew that it would come in handy one way or another. After the moaning and banging stopped in the room, he sniffed the air to see if it was all gone. Opening up the door, he saw the window cracked, and the gas had all filtered outside, and no longer a threat. Each of the undead were now shaking on the floor, blood seeping from their mouths. After they stopped, Louis quickly went back downstairs, and then poked in through the main room. "All clear, Thorton... Hows Andreya doing?"

"She's burning up." Thorton said, checking Andreya for a cause of her problems. He could only assume that she had gotten a chill from being out in the open cold air for too long. She was highly underdressed for as cold as it was. Not to mention the other tramua she had suffered. Things were not looking up.
"She's got a fever, but she's shivering. What the f**k does that?" Thorton said, asking a rethorical question. For the life of him, he couldnt remember if it was an illness or an infection that caused that sort of thing. "You know anything about medicine?" He asked Louis, starting to rummage through Andreya's backpack to look for some anti biotics or somthing similer.

Andreya shifted on the bed as to try and find some form of comfort, but it was hard. She was freezing and her body ached, but her arm and leg was screaming in pain. She looked up at Thorton with tired eyes before shifting again, and this time stifling a cry from how she moved her leg. After a bit she seemed to settle down a bit. She was laying on her side with her arm resting on a pillow finding that the elevation eased up the pain a bit. Her leg on the other hand was still throbbing from how she was laying, but at the moment the bad part of her pain had eased up from how she was laying.
Closing her eyes she just rested there for a bit before she started shivering again. She was forced to open her eyes again, and looked up at Thorton with a weak smile. "What's that look for?" she asked tiredly before looking past him to Louis. "Where are we?"

"Well... Im no doctor..." Louis walked over to the bag, and then searched the side pouchs while Thorton searched the main pouch. As much as he didnt know about meds, he was sure that there was such thing as too much sleep. Andreya had gotten quite a bit for the last day, some medication works better when your awake, gives your body time to accept it quicker if your concious. With that in mind, Louis grabbed what looked like daytime cold medication. It was simple, and would only cover minor releif, but it worked. Looking over Andreya as her eyes opened and she spoke, Louis spoke out in a clear voice. "...You probably know what your looking for better then us... Why dont you take find what you need... Im gonna wander... Dont worry about me if you hear gunshots..."
Louis dropped the bottle onto the bed, and then walked out of the room, closing the door ajar. He did have his rifle in the duffle bag anymore, so carrying it around was really nothing at all now. There wasnt much stuff in his jacket anymore either, it had all been used up over time. First making his way upstairs, he remembered seeing a number of items inside one of the rooms near the 'gas chamber'. Going over to the room, he entered, and then looked around to make sure there wasnt anything hostile inside. Can never be too safe. Seeing the closet door open, there was a number of boxes inside that looked full of stuff. Well, he wasnt pretty sure they were full, wouldnt make sense to keep that many empty boxes. But unless someone as living in the hotel room, why would they even have that much stuff?
Louis put his gun down, and stood infront of the closet, staring up and down at all the boxes. Surely there was something useful inside, and it was free for the taking. Stepping closer, he heard heavy breathing coming from behind them. But before he had time to react, they all came crashing down ontop of him, as he saw an infected dive forward. "Holy sh*t!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, the noise along nearly giving him a heart attack. Louis fell backwards onto the bed, and then felt the pressure of the infected grabbing his shoulder, and pinning him down. Struggling to push the things teeth away from his neck, Louis went for his knife, and pulled it out with success. Then driving it up, he lodged it into the zombies jawline, and then knocked him onto the floor.
Rolling off back onto his feet, Louis wiped his knife off quickly on the bedsheets, and then put it away. But as he did this, the infect got back up, and now had him cornered on the other side of the room. Louis saw his gun on the floor infront of the undead, and knew it would be too risky to get while he was standing them. So quickly pulling out his .45 from his inner pocket, he had to make a make a quick reload. After finding the clip, putting it in the gun, the infected was right infront of him. Pulling back the slide and raising the gun at the same time, Louis fired a quick shot with one extending toward the creatures face. A loud gunshot filled the air, as the corpse fell to his feet. He layed down on the bed, and caught his breathing, wiping sweat away from his eyes.
Slipping the gun back into his jacket, Louis then got back up, and grabbing his MP5, strapping it onto his shoulder, and looking down at the fallen boxes. Canned Foods, Instant Noodles, All kinds of preserved meals, seems like he hit the jackpot. One by one, Louis picked up the boxes and carried them downstairs, loading them into the room across from the one Thorton and Andreya were in. After all the boxes were inside, he went back into the room to see how Andreya was doing. They both looked at him with curiousity, probably wondering what happened, but he was fine. "...I managed to get some food... Its all next door, if you guys feel like having anything. Dont think theres any way to cook it in this place, but %90 of it can be eaten raw..." Louis sat down on the floor, refilling the missing bullet from his gun.

"Thats always good." Thorton said, half paying attention to Louis while he tended to Andreya. The cough medicine was a good find, but it wasnt what she needed right now. She needed something hot to eat, a warm blanket, and some sleep. He had stabalized her other injuries and knew they wouldnt cause a problem at the moment.
"All right. Louis, stay with her. I'll go and round up some eats." He said. He didnt tell them that in one of his vest pockets he had a few MRE's, and with them all came a small disposable chemical heater good enough to be used for hours. He figured it'd be a good surprise. The room across the hall was well stocked with all manner of dried or canned goods. He supposed Louis had taken quite a bit of time to bring all the boxes up here.
After reading the labels on the sides of the boxes for a bit, he saw a few things that looked good and pulled them out of the pile. His Ka Bar made quick work of the tape holding them shut, and he grabbed three cans each of chicken soup, mixed fruit, mixed vegtables, and tuna fish. Most of the food groups, but hey. Most were better than none.
He walked back to the room and saw Andreya in much the same position she was in earlier. He stacked the cans on the small writing desk in the room and took a seat with a sigh. He was getting too old to be running marathons. He should be on the parade grounds yelling at new recruits or deploying men from a cruiser out in the middle of the ocean. But no. He was here. He didnt regret being here with her, only that he had been dumb enough to send her here for school. Alone.
"Who wants what?" He asked as he started setting everything up.

Andreya shook her head lightly just before nuzzling it into the pillow and closing her eyes. She wasn't really tired, but she also wasn't hungry. She couldn't really put her finger on it, but she couldn't figure out what she wanted just yet. After a moment thought she let out a long yawn. She shivered again as she laid there in the bed, and let out a small cry as she was forced to move both her arm and leg. She bit her lip slightly before opening her eyes. She looked at Thorton and smiled tiredly.
It wasn't to much longer before she had drifted to sleep. For not being tired, she sure felt tired, and in her sleep if felt as her mind was screaming in pain. Still though when she tried to wake back up she couldn't. Her mind was trapped in a torment of pain and it held her there almost as if it was waiting to be satisfied before she was allowed to wake back up. It didn't take to long before she was crying in her sleep, and her body trembled as she laid on the bed.

Louis nodded as Thorton left the room, but seemed like he wasnt gone too long before he returned with some things from the room next door. But when he saw Andreya move her face back to the pillow, he knew he wasnt hungry. As Thorton was setting things up, Louis looked over at Andreya. "Hey, you might not be hungry, but youll be thankful for the calories later..." But she was already asleep, and more then likey didnt hear him speaking. Facing Thorton now, he then grabbed a signifigantly large opened can of mixed fruit, and then left the room. Knowing that Thorton would catch onto the routine by now, he didnt bother saying where he was going.
Louis could never stay in the same place too long, least not before he started to feel the need for something to happen. It wasnt that he preyed for danger to find him, he just needed to stay active, it was his bodys way of putting up without much sleep. He didnt even know this hotel exsisted out here in Arklay, but even with that, seemed like its been abandoned for a long time. Probably why none of the rooms were very active with people, and why all the undead flooded into that one room. Now that he figured most of them were for storage, he contenued along the upper floor, searching the rooms again. This time, with the intention of knowing for sure that theres supplise to be found.
But then some very strange happened, Louis started to hear two people talking from one of the rooms, he hadnt remembered seeing anyone before. After laying down his can, he walked through the hallway, and the talking got louder and louder as he neared closer to the end room on the left. As he walked through the door, he saw that nobodty was inside. It couldnt have been his imagination, he was sure that there was people inside. Before he could investiage further, a board swung out from under the bed and tripped him onto his beck. The talking started again, but got foggier and slower, as his vision became more blurry with every passing second. He couldnt make out what they were saying, and soon it just went silent.
Quickly opening his eyes, Louis found himself tied up with all four limbs at the posts of the bed. He tried to break his arms and legs free of the rope, and found that the posts were pretty old. His jacket was laying on the the table across from him, as was his weapons. "So... Think you can just come in here and take our food, huh? You mustve seen what happened to the last person that tried that..." Louis remembered the infected who attacked him from the closet with all the floor, it was him this man was refering to. "Look, mister, untie me now and ill give you your food back... Or youll be the one laying here dead!" He knew Thorton would waste this guy in a matter of seconds.
"Oh... Is that a threat? Your not in any position to be making threats..." The man picked up the .45 from the table, but as he did this, Louis kicked the end of the pedpost off, and then hurled it at him with his foot. The splitered wood cut the mans arm deep in several places, as he dropped the gun to the bed. Louis broke off the other bedpost, and then mule kicked the man in the face, knocking him into the wall and breaking away the roping from his ankles. Then ripping apart the top bedposts with his arms, he cracked the man in the face with a punch, but he ducked out of the way.
The man had rolled into the hallway, and pulled out kitchen knife from his side. He looked at the man, and gestured for him to attack. The man ran forward with the knife raised, as Louis jumped backwards on the other side of the bed. As the man lunged forward, he kicked the bedframed toward him, flipping on onto bed. Jumping to his feet, Louis rolled over the man, then grabbed his knife and drove it into the mans chest twice. The man lay dead, as the knife stuck out from him, he didnt bother taking it with him. Getting back to his things, Louis put his jacket on, and then collected his guns. Shaking his head, he walked back out of the room, and down the hallway. Picking up his can of fruit and going back to the room Thorton was in, Louis slurped it down, and then spoke. "I think there might be other people in here besides us..."

"What makes you say that?" Thorton asked ironicly. He had heard all of the commotion from where he was, and abandoned the pursuit of cooking something to eat in favor of getting ready to go and pull Louis out of whatever trouble he was in. But alas, just as Thorton was about to go, Louis came back. Good thing too. Thorton wouldnt have ventured far with Andreya here by herself.
"What do you suggest we do about it?" He asked. Thorton had two plans of action. One in which they stayed here and out of the other's way, one in which Louis stayed here and he went on a little exbidition ending in a clean hotel. With the exception of the blood and bullet holes all over the place. As he waited on the answer, he sat back at the writing desk to finish cooking. Andreya was going to eat, that was for sure. Too many times she said she wasnt hungry when some food would do her a world of good. He figured they'd compromise on soup. Not quite food, but plenty of vitamins or minerals or whatever those things that make you healthy were called.
"Hey." He wispered to Andreya before going to the bed and shaking her good side gently. "Wake up." He said.

Andreya moaned slightly as she shifted. Doing so caused her to let out a small cry, before she opened her eyes. She looked tiredly around the room before looking up at Thorton. She smiled weakly before her body trembled slightly beneath his touch. She laid her head back down on the pillow, and closed her eyes again. An again she felt Thorton shake her gently. She opened her eyes again and looked up at him as he presented the bowl of soup. She wasn't hungry, and she didn't feel like eating, but when Thorton didn't move away she knew he wasn't going to leave it be.
With his help she was able to sit up, and lean up against the wall. Though it consisted of a lot of pain, and when they were done she was in tears and fighting back the urge to cry out. She held the bowl of soup in her shaking hands as she sat there staring at it. It always felt wonderful having someone who cares about you to take care of you, but at the moment all she wanted to do was cry. Finally giving in she fought over how to eat the bowl of soup. It hurt to move her right arm, and holding the bowl with it just made it hurt worse. She finally set it down on the bed, and with her left hand she gripped the spoon as she slowly started to eat. Though it still didn't stop her from crying. She sobbed on occasion causing what she had in the spoon to fall back into the soup.
It wasn't to much longer before she started coughing. An it was no gentle cough. She coughed heavily and hard causing her to cry out as she did. She continued to cough for a bit and gasped on occasions as she tried to breath in between it. She looked up at Thorton with teary eyes before she continued to cough. She had never been this sick before. She had been sick, but not from anything like a cold or infection. All the medications she had taken always dealt as a sort of antibiotic, but then again she had never gone threw anything like this. Not to mention she hadn't been taking all her medication on a regular basis for several days now.

I mean, if that man was talking to someone else, then he would still be running around the top level somewhere, probably hiding. Unless he escaped the place, which wouldnt be all too bad. Cept for the fact the Louis wouldnt be able to find out why they are were, and what they were doing. They were too clean to be survivers, and what they were talking about was definitly cause for concern. They knew he was coming, and they got ready for him, that kind of organization only happened then they were trying to kill innocents, it was only about the food. There was something else that made him wonder many things, but he shook them off. Looking over at Thorton, then to Andreya, then back at Throton, Louis spoke. "They tied me up... They wanted information, seemingly. Whats the plan? Should I do another sweep?"

Thorton put the soup on the ground next to the bed so he could tend to Andreya. Something was wrong. It wasnt some ordinary cold or flu she had, he was pretty sure of that right now. But, what was wrong? If she had been taking her medicine regularly, she should be quite fine now. Even after her injuries.
"Have you been taking your medicine?" He asked her, disreguarding Louis' questions for now. A group of crazy people could be dealt with in time. Andreya needed attention now. He did what he could for her, trying to position her in a way that would ease her coughes, but it didnt seem to be helping at the moment. What could he do? Let her ride it out? It seemed to be the only option...

Andreya cried out slightly before she started coughing heavily again. She laid up against Thorton once it started to settled down again. Panting heavily she shook her head no at his question. She hadn't really been thinking about keeping on track with her medication over the past couple of days. it really wasn't the best thing to deal with at a time like this, but then there was that time she grew sick and ended up over dosing on her medication and sleeping pills. That didn't help out either.
She closed her eyes as she rested against him. Soon enough she had a creepy feeling that they were being watched. She opened her eyes and looked around the room, but it was just her Louis and Thorton. She turned around to look out the window, and her eyes growing wide as she screamed out and fell off the back of the bed. As Louis and Thorton turned to look at the window. For a moment a middle sized man standing about 5'8" and looking to be almost 60 years old stood in the window. His eyes looking down to where Andreya had fallen off the bed. He looked up at the other two occupants of the room. His eyes seeming to be beady and almost red looking. An just in that short of time he dashed off from the bushes and away from the window.
Andreya laid on the ground crying as she held her arm close to her and nearly curled up into a ball. She had landed on her arm, and the pain alone coursed threw her body. She stifled several coughs as she laid there.

As soon as Louis heard Andreya scream and look at the window, he drew his MP5 toward the glass, but only caught a glimpse of someone or something. He moved to her side to assist, but Thorton was already there to get her up. Louis was already near the door, so it was only natural that he would be the one to give chase. "Thorton, stay here with Andreya... I got it!" After booming the words, he ran out of the room, and then out the front doors of the building. It was dark out now, and even worse, he didnt have a good light on his gun. The batteries were low, so it only gave him enough to know where he was stepping. But the moon lit the way clear enough for him.
Louis leaped over a chest high fence and around the back where the apartment window was, and then slowed down to a stalking pace, trying to be as quite as possible. Keeping low to the side of the hotel, he sharply scanned the area through the sights of his MP5, almost as if he was expecting something to jump out at him. As he crouched infront of the window, Louis poked his head up, and knocked twice while making an all clear gesture. It frusterated him knowing that there was someone here, but was too afraid to show themselves. Shaking his head, he walked back around to the front doors, and then inside the hotel, whispering to himself as he neared the room. "...Just come on out, dammit... So I can kill you already."
