I think I spoke the devils language a little too much when we were talking about XCOMs difficulty, Joey. www.destructoid.com/download-xcom-enemy-unknown-s-second-wave-dlc-now-241980.phtmlNew, free DLC. Check out those modifiers. Some of them make the game easier, good for Impossible most likely (guaranteed criticals when flanking *wink-wink*). However most of them make things trickier. It's a masochists thing.

All the options make the more realistic, regardless. Some are easy, some are hard. But uhhhh, how do you toggle them on and off? I cant see any of the options. So I started a new game, thinking id toggle them on from there, and I can see the new options, but theres only four of them. Damage Roulette, new Economy, Not created Equally, and Hidden Potential. Cant see the others.

No idea. If I start playing I'll get stuck into it and I can't afford that. It looked like a menu right before or after you choose difficulty, kinda like choosing ironman and tutorial.

Yeahhh. When I go to Choose Difficulty before starting a new game, itll say I can hit the Y button, then it pops up with those four options. Not a big list like I see there, only four of them, the first four. Thinking maybe I unlock more as the game goes on or something like that.
Another thing, changing the difficulty before missions doesnt set your difficulty for that mission. I would start up my file, and change to Normal, then search for some activity. After I found it, id go do the abduction or whatever, and when it got into the mission, it would be Easy again. So i tried it right before going into the mission, changed it to Normal. Then play through the mission, and it just reverted it back to Normal. Like changing mid-session doesnt work, you have start a fresh game in order to play on a harder difficulty. Which makes sense, but why give you the option to change if it doesnt work?
I finally got it to stick, and I played a UFO Crash Sight with one soldier on Classic. Started up the match, and it was on Impossible, and I knew it was legit cause all my Accuracy was down to bulls*** unlucky levels. I managed to get through it, and didnt get the achievement. So f**k that s***, impossible achievements are retarded. Might consider doing a Classic Mode playthrough once I can toggle some of these new options, like Always crit when Flanking, which just makes f**king sense in real life. Or units having realistic accuracy, regardless of difficulty. Game relies too much on luck on Classic and Impossible. I get that people love that stuff, and its a hard game, but it should still be more strategy than luck, regardless of a difficulty setting.
