"Alright, ready to show me around? I imagine you'll want to make your parents graves the first stop. We can stay as long as you want or need."
Polly hadn't really known too many people personally that had died in her community, and she was uncertain how to proceed, or how she should act while they were at the cemetery. She would be by the woman's side, and comfort her like she would for any other reason. She was just going to give the woman time, and listen.

as they walked down to the rows of graves, Katya unconsciously took polly's hand in hers, squeezing tightly. "they're just down here." they went down a row, coming to the only 2 graves with engraved stone gravestones in the entire plot.

"This is a large cemetery. I...I've never seen one this big before."
Polly stopped talking as they came to the markers. She figured these were the two that Katya was looking for. She squeezed the woman's hand back, giving a silent form of encouragement. She stayed by her side, looking at the markers and letting the woman have the time she needed.

when they came to the tombstone's, katya was silent for about 10 seconds before speaking. "hey mom, hey dad, guess I came back a bit earlier than expected huh." "where to start...you were right mom, I did finally find someone. her names Polly, and boy is she a great big screamer."
she grinned at polly's blush, "its so easy to make her blush, and she's so cute when she does."

"You're terrible. I love you for it."
Polly looked and saw some leaves around the base of the headstones, and bent down to clear them away. She didn't know what else to do, and hated the idea that the headstones would look like they were neglected.

Katya smiled softly. "she's a great cook, and she always looks after other peoples needs ahead of her own. It's cute but I'm still trying to curb it a bit."

"That'll never happen and you know it."
Polly finished gathering the fallen leaves and dumped them away from the headstones, coming back to the woman's side and wrapping an arm around the other woman's, resting her head on her shoulder. This seemed to be good for the warrior woman, and was a surprising side that she had never seen of her before.

her smile softened, "she is the most amazing, caring, loving and gentle being I have ever known, and I wake up every day wondering how someone like me could ever be worthy of her. but then she says something or does something that...just makes me happy she's with me, regardless of circumstance or reason."

"For what you've been through, I think you deserve to be happy. To have peace. That's why I'm here. You deserve me."
Polly closed her eyes and just listened to the woman breath, to the sounds around them in the quiet cemetery. She never realized how quiet it was, even for a large community the sounds were muted. Maybe it was this place, maybe it was just the time of day but everything seemed almost serene, as if the world itself had decided not to ruin this moment for them.

she wrapped her arm around polly's waist, her head resting on hers. "I'll never truly deserve you, but since I own your sexy little ass I'll keep you around regardless." she said grinning.

"You say things like that in front of my own parents, why am I not surprised you'd do the same in front of yours?"
Polly smiled, her eyes still closed. She was enjoying this. In a way she knew it was cathartic for Katya as well. Maybe this would help bring her some peace? It was something she eventually hoped would happen for the woman, and she would do anything to help with that.
"We can stay as long as you like. I promise."

"I haven't, but this is important. That can wait as long as it needs to. This is all about you right now."
Polly gave her arm a squeeze, feeling the cords of muscles under the material of her shirt. For someone so strong, she needed Polly's strength in a different way. She was the balance, and sometimes Katya had to be reminded that personal things like this could take preference over other matters. The coffee wasn't going anywhere, and neither were they until the woman was ready. They could stay here all day if she wanted them to.

"well we aren't leaving until we've had a drink." she brought out 4 bottles of good beer. taking the caps off she gave 2 two polly. "how this little tradition goes is we both say cheers, and then start drinking. it can go for however long we like but for each sip or scull we pour some onto the graves."
she raised both bottles in each hand, one over the graves and one towards polly. "cheers!"

"Cheers my love."
Polly raised both bottles, one in each hand and she followed Katya's motions, drinking, and then pouring a bit over the grave closest to her. It was her father's. The beer was strong, clearly brewed locally and rebottled with whatever was at hand. She didn't cough or make a face, doing her best to keep a brave face. She wasn't going to be shamed in front of her love, or her parents.
