Not the most intelligent agent in the BSAA, he wants to understand a mission and situation as best as he can in order to be mentally prepared.
In small skirmishes he takes a backseat, due to his nature of his role and his past but is willing to take sometimes huge risk and gather courage in order to help comrades. Lloyd has a deep fear of being left alone in the field and becomes rather "useless". He likes to work and think with other people. Thinking and fighting for himself is rather difficult for him.
If he gets paired up with the right people he can be a essential member for a squad. If not he tries his best to be valuable but wont reach his full potential.
In his spare time he likes to drink with other comrades. He tries to spurt out one-liners in order to connect with people. But usually doesnt succeed in it.
History:
Born in 1977 in Arklay Lloyd would be described as a rather slow kid. He mostly couldnt follow hundert percent what other kids were saying, or had trouble with all these mathematics. With his father being a respectable Lieutenant in the RPD Lloyd figured out that he also wanted to be somebody. And police officers normally dont do mathematics. Well thats what the thought anyway.
He finished High-School in 1996 and then went to college in order to get a degree in law enforcement and other related fields in order to become a detective. In college he came across another student called Rebecca Chambers and became good friends with her. Unfortunately due to having a big crush on her, he wasnt able to really concentrate during his courses which caused him to quit college after a year.
Starting in 1997 Lloyd took a career as a Desk Officer at the R.P.D. He wasnt trained as a Police Officer but rather worked there in a civilian position to help out. His Father became a Lieutenant in the RPD and made it possible for him to get work at the Police Station.
He was filing archives, answering phones, getting coffee for the seargents and he also watched dispatchers how they operate the radios. The job was very special because he was in a police station, it felt like he would be a police officer but he didnt had to see dead people or shoot someone. But sometimes it was too much stress for him when he did things wrong.
Lloyd was thinking about Rebecca for a long time, because she was a girl who spent time with him and had interesting and intellectual conversations. She was someone who wasnt annoyed by his slowness.
In 1998 Lloyd and Rebecca met again. It felt wonderful to see her again and relive the good old times. But unfortunately she had to go on her very first mission shortly after her arrival at the new S.T.A.R.S.-Unit. Lloy was scared that something might happen to Rebecca . In order to calm him down she gifted him her S.T.A.R.S.-lighter. It was a gift for all new S.T.A.R.S.-members and since she didnt smoked she gave it to Lloyd.
Unfortunately Lloyd never saw her and again after that Mansion catastrophe everything changed. When the undead attacked the city Lloyd was in the Police Station. Many people tried to flee or to fight. Everyone was brutally murdered by those creatures, while Lloyd armed himself and tried to sneak out. Fortunately a UBCS-team helped him to get out of the city.
Some of those men were Umbrella-soldiers. But those people werent too kind about their former employer and they told Lloyd that they were responsible for this tragedy.
When Lloyd got out of the city he watched how his hometown was engulfed in a nuclear inferno.
Everything had been destroyed, everyone had been helpless.
He didnt wanted to be helpless anymore. He was allways pretending or feeling to be some kind of a hero. He wanted to take actual responsibility.
Lloyd joined the group of rebels who investigated against Umbrella. It was mostly stakeouts of suspicious persons or breaking into some apartments to find compelling intel. They didnt went to great and dangerous adventures but he felt that he belonged to a group of good people
He was also certain that Umbrella would even cause the Y2K problem but investigations on that matter turned out to be fruitless
During another Operation in 2004 his group tried to apprehend a former umbrella scientist who wanted to sell bio-weapons. In a hot-headed moment Lloyd started firing at the dealer and his buyers, causing the failure of the mission, resulting in him being the sole survivor by sheer luck.
Feeling ashamed about the loss of his teammates, he went back but told noone that he was responsible for this incident, but he also didnt wanted to be punished for it. The leader of his group suggested to him to join the BSAA to fight Bioterrorism in a more efficient and organized way. Lloyds suggested his Leader to put in a good word for him for his previous operations.
Unsure about his own skills, he accepted to join the BSAA, because he felt like fighting Bioterrorism was the only thing he could do, even if he couldnt reallly do it right. But he had to make it somehow.
Early 2005 he started his long training to join the BSAA. He was involved in smaller operations as a radio operator... but his greatest mission has yet to come.
Introduction:
Lloyd was standing in his quarter-room shaving his face. He was still pretty nervous about meeting new people in the BSAA, will they like him? Will he get along with them?
The last small operations had been a success due to his good teammates. But he knows there will be one day were a mission can be a big catastrophe, like this „Mansion Incident“ he read about.
He was looking at himself in the mirror, looking at his blue hawaiian shirt. „I dont know if the other new members will get along with me, but hey I mean who wouldnt like a person wearing aloha-shirts?“
He smiled a little, but it quickly vanished when he was looking at his lucky-lighter. „I wonder if I will ever see you again Becca....“
Lloyd started to look at the mirror when his bad thoughts came back, he grinned at himself like a madman and made faces as if the other person in the reflections tries to cheer himself up.
It was almost time for the briefing.
„Lets do this s***... I guess“
