School's Out Forever [Start Date: Thursday, September 24, 1998]
Name: Ashley Glenwood Sex: Male Born: Raccoon City General Hospital Date of Birth: May 5, 1985 Age: 13 Weight: 125 LBS Height: 5'7 Ethnicity: Japanese/Caucasian Hair: Dark Brown Eyes: Brown Body: Ectomorph (Slender) Blood Type: AB+ Occupation: Middle School Student Appearance: Hair that's tied into a high ponytail with long purple bangs. His face is sometimes confused with girl faces due to it being feminine for a male. His voice is also feminine. He wears a white sleeveless T-Shirt (Sometimes black). He wears a violet pattern camo BDU pants. He wears long black socks and black combat boots. He also wears violet hard-knuckle fingerless tactical gloves, and a purple zip up hoodie. Personality: Ashley was always a "problem" child. He's a bit of laid back person and he doesn't seem to be affected by anything that would terrify a sane person. He's quick to anger and not so quick to forgive. When he gets asked out by other guys due to his face and voice he gets flustered and confused. He almost always gets into fights because of his face. What makes him different is that he has a tendency to look into things that doesn't concern him. He hates being intimated and seeing others being intimated. He doesn't necessarily dislike law enforcement or organizations,he just doesn't trust them. He would also protect his family and friends at any cost. History: Ashley Glenwood was born on May 5th, 1985 in Raccoon City General Hospital to an RPD police officer and a medical nurse. When Ashley was 11, his dad taught him about the safe use of firearms, despite his mom's strong objections. When it comes to school he studied math and science and proved to be extremely adept at the chosen subjects. He joined the Raccoon City Middle School baseball team and became the pitcher of the team. Fights started when Ashley was 12. After a couple of fights where Ashley managed to land a couple of students in the hospital. He would get in trouble for this, and became at odds with the school principal. When the Arklay Mountains incident occurred his dad got called out to help with the investigation, which was later but on the back burner. Even though Ashley is a rough and tumble boy who doesn't trust authority figures, he still cares about his family. Intro: Thursday, September 24, 1998. During school, Ashley got in trouble. This time, he was framed. A bully tossed a metal ball at his head, and then a balled up paper at the teacher. Ashley shouted out "*****" at the bully at about the same time the paper hit the teacher. Of course, he was easy to blame, and was sent to the principals office. On the way, two of that bullies friends were waiting in the hallway. They must have planned it all. They grabbed Ashley, and shoved him into a closet, it was locked. Ashley was trapped. Soon after, the fire alarm sounded. The bullies laughed as they ran off, "He's going to be in there during the whole drill, hahahahaah." What happened next was horrifying. After the school was evacuated, air raid sirens began to sound, and police on loud speakers warned everyone to stay indoors and to wait out the approaching mob. Mom was at a hospital working in the City of Arklay, a town away, and dad was on duty, but that wasn't him on the loud speaker. You are trapped. You are alone. There is a manhole on the ground. There is a crowbar/manhole opener leaned against the wall. There is ceiling tile above as the ceiling. There is a step ladder. There are old garbage cans, and there are rolls of garbage bags, and cleaning supplies, and a mop and bucket, and mop bucket, and a shelf with cloths and rags and boxes, and a box of plastic gloves. The door has a small metal mesh glass window. The walls are drywall, painted bluish grey.

((Ok. I assume that there is only one way out right? And that's the sewers? And btw,I can't stop laughing at the intro. It's funny because it's more suitable than the one I had originally. ))
Ashley looked around the closet, his breath hitching. Sure,it was a quite spacious, but with all of the janitor equipment it felt closed off. "Sh**. I need to get out of here,"Ashley muttered. Even though he knew it was locked Ashley tried to bash down the door by throwing his whole weight against it. The only problem was,he had a small frame. And he wasn't that strong so the door did not budge. Ashley looked through the metal mesh glass window to see if anyone was around. No one. It looked empty and dark. Ashley panicked and started pacing around in small circles with his hands clutching his head trying to think. "D*** it. What should I do? There's no one out there. And I can't stay in here forever." Ashley looked around the room again and this time,he noticed there was a crowbar/manhole opener lean g against the wall. He went over to it and picked it up. It was a bit heavy, but he could handle the weight for prolonged periods. Ashley looked down at the manhole and grimaced. "Do I REALLY have to go down there?," he asked. Ashley looked at the door again. "Well sh*t. Ashley? Looks like you're going to have to prepare yourself for a sewer incursion with only a crowbar. This isnt going to be pleasant." Ashley took the crowbar/mamhole opener and pried open the cover. Ashley looked down into the pitch blackness. "Well. This is where the fun begins,"Ashley muttered. He climbed down the manhole.

You arrive at a dry, abandon tunnel. It is not a sewer like expected, but a utility access tunnel. It has a lot of conduits runnin by along the ceiling, and several lifts that dimly illuminate the tunnel. The tunnel is doorway size, and turns after 50 feet, to the right, in one direction. The other direction there is a metal door. The walls are concrete and not painted, they look old and yellowed over time.

Ashley dropped down the last meter and hit the floor of the tunnel with a small grunt. He stood up and his head almost brushed the ceiling of the tunnel. "Huh. A utility tunnel? At least it's not a f***ing sewer,"Ashley commented as he proceded down the tunnel. He noticed the conduits that were running through the ceiling and he crouched a bit so as not to hit his head on them. Thankfully, there were lifts throughout the tunnel giving the place some light as he had no flashlight. Even if everything was dim of course.
Ashley silently moved through 50 feet of tunnel holding his crowbar looking out for anything out of the ordinary. So far, nothing. He reached the end of the tunnel and saw a metal door and that the tunnel branched off to the right. It was dimmer down their. "Sh**. What now?" Ashley took the handle of the metal door and pulled on it as hard as he could. It was stuck tight. "Are you kidding me right now???" Ashley struggled for another 4 minutes to get the door open but it refused to budge. "Stubborn a**hat,"Ashley muttered with anger as he kicked the door with the bottom of his foot. He sighed with reluctance as he turned to face the darker tunnel and walked down it.

When you kick the door, it creeks open. (You pulled on it, but it didn't work, cause it opens inward, LOL). In the room was electronics, and a breaker, and a bunch of conduits leading to it. It is warmer in there than the main tunnel. Another larger conduit leads up through the ceiling. You faintly hear popping sounds from above, and from the place you came form.

(lol How did I not realize that? It bought it was one of those doors where it pulls outward. Never mind then.)
Ashley was about to head deeper into the tunnel when he heard the door creak open. He turned around and saw that it was partly open. "Huh. Guess you're not so stubborn like I thought,"Ashley commented. He approached the door and kicked it open, holding his crowbar up in a defensive stance. He went inside and looked around the room. First off,Ashley noticed it was slightly warmer in the room. It might be cozy warm but it was still warm enough. He saw electronics in the room and there were larger conduits that went up into the ceiling. He heard faint popping sounds coming from above him as well as from the tunnel he left. "Now what the heck is that?,"Ashley asked.
(Sorry if this was all I can post. You didn't give me much other than it was room with larger conduits and that faint popping sound. So,sorry about how short it is.)

(I give the atmosphere, you react as a player. You say what you do, where you go, and I will do thebelow and calculate what happens when you do something. So when you go to open a door, that is where you leave off your action, and I'll tel you if the door is locked or unlocked. You provide all information about how your character feels and its mood and all that, as well as things l like biting lip, clenching jaw, swallowing, how your character is feeling, mood, etc. I will come up with the special effects, details, when your character needs to use the restroom, and all of the physical affects, etc).
In the room, there is nothing unusual. The hallway lights dim slightly, but only for a moment.

((This is kind of like an actual Resident Evil game. lol))
Ashley concluded that there was nothing of importance in the room. There was no way up to the surface, nor is there anything useful. Ashley sighed and whispered,"Guess this was a waste of time huh?" He turned around and left the room and reluctantly went down the slightly darker corridor down the right.

(Yes, that is the intention, lol. It it like a cross between the realism in the books (the graphic content, and the written visual and auditory senses of being there) and the game play of, well, the games. Just, you are experiencing a unique story. And because not everyone (99% of the population) in Raccoon city dies, the multi-realm fits this the closest. Even though everyone's character would definitely die, in this, the crossing over of realms enables everyone's character to actually live. IF we played without the realms, this character would die within hours, for sure. Even all of the characters in Outbreak die, based on the story line. You only experience their short lived adventures).
When you reach the end of the hallway, it turns to the right. It is actually dark, but there is a faint light up ahead, about 200 feet. There are other doors, but they, upon checking, are locked with padlocks. Conduits run from above the doors. The hallways are 7 feet high. The doors are 2 feet wide and 6 feet tall. The hallways themselves are 2 and a half feet wide. The hallways are narrow, but not as narrow as the doorways are. At the end of the main hallway, there is a locked door. It is locked form the inside. Upon unlocking it, it leads outside. There is a small razor wire fence enclosure outside. The area is only 5 by 4 within the enclosure. The enclosure gate is locked by a chain and padlock. The fenced in area is under a bridge that leads over a river. There is an access sidewalk that is fenced in as well that runs along the river, with vertical concrete wall as the river embankment. But, you can't see too far around the bend of the river. You can see other small bridges in the distance on either side. It is not possible to climb the fence without injury from razor wire. (Basically, you are trapped. I can't give you hints, this is all you).

Ashley quickly walked down the long tunnel and made sure he stayed silent while doing so. The tunnel was quite dark and he didn't want to slip on something and bash his head on a pipe or something. That would have been bad. He noticed a faint light and quickened his pace. As he passed,he saw several doors that were locked tight with padlocks. He hurried past them and focused on the door at the far end. He got to the door and upon finding it was locked from the inside,he quickly opened it and stepped outside. He breathed in fresh air and was glad to be out of that tunnel.
He looked around and found that he was pretty much fenced in. There was an enclosure gate that was locked by a chain and padlock. There was an access sidewalk that was fenced in that ran along the river enbankement with a tall concrete wall. Ashley couldn't see too far around the riverbend. He noticed other smaller bridges in the distance. He checked the fence and found razor wire on the top. "D**n it! I'm trapped again! Ashley shouted in anger. He HATED the feeling of being trapped. He needed a way out. And fast.
Ashley hurried over to the chain and padlock and lifted it up. He tried jerking it around and tried pulling it. It didn't do anything. Ashley decided to take his crowbar and wedged it into the chain and pulled it toward him. He started applying pressure and pushing the crowbar AWAY from him, trying to break the chain and padlock. His arms started to hurt and he was growing tired. "Cr*p. I might not be able to do this,"Ashley thought. He started pushing harder hoping against hope that the chain would break.

((Hey there. Please let me know if I did anything wrong. I wanted my character to get out into the actual city and to get the story really going. Was I supposed to go a different way?))

(The breaking the chain part, that is a game master decision, lol. That would, on a normal roll pay using dice, require a strength check. In this case, you should end the acrion by stating yo are gong to try to use the tool you have to break the lock or chain, and let a game master decide if the chain does. As for me, I could not bust a chain myself, so a middle school person probably also would not. But, that crowbar probably could be used to pry other things, but I don't want to give too much away.
You can alter your post to say the chain didn't pop. I should have specified that the chain is industrial, or a heavy gauge. Being a utility area, the city would not want just anyone to get in. Bolt cutters would be able to snap the locks).

(Ay, that works. But the crowbar don't, lol).
The chain does not break. It is too strong. You hear what the pops were before. They sound like loud firecrackers, above, close to the school. You hear other pops in the distant, like 4th of July, but it's not 4th of July, and the pops are not followed by sparkling cracks. It is different. They are spaced as if carefully triggered.

Ashley was panting after the ordeal with the padlock. Not only did it not work,he felt worn out. Ashley was sitting down recovering, thinking about his next step. He jumped about an inch startled when he heard loud popping sounds near the school. They sounded like fireworks, but not exactly. They were deliberately spaced out. "Sh*t. I don't like the sound of that,"Ashley commented. He went over to the crowbar and pulled it out. He kicked at the stubborn fence in anger. He looked around and studied the location he was in,hoping for a way out. He saw the access sidewalk and thought about getting out that way. What he was thinking of could work, but it would hurt like hell. But it sure best staying trapped in the enclosure with the only way out is back into the tunnel.
Ashley hurried over to the vertical concrete wall and wondered of he could get up there. He went back as far as he could and ran toward the wall, thinking that he could use the momentum to throw himself onto it. If he made it,he might be able to walk on top of the cement wall and vault over the fence that blocked off the access sidewalk. If Ashley screwed this up,he might end up with a broken leg or an arm.
