Show of hands: who's excited?
I myself have been excited about the remake coming out in just 10 days. I only wish that it wasn't coming out so close to Kingdom Hearts 3, so when they both come out, I have to split my little free time in between two games.

Yeah, been waiting on REmake 2 for a long time. While it's not an absolute "REmake" like the original remake, they're doing an amazing job. Played the demo a few times, and the little details are mind blowing.
But yeah... KH3 is gonna be good too, and its out around the same time. Think I might just wait on KH3. Already waited, what, two million years? Hahaha. What's another few months. Resident Evil has my soul.

Well, it took roughly about 20 hours, but I finally downloaded RE2 yesterday. As we usually do, my sister and I started out playing as Claire and I have to say, it's nice to have some real jump scares for the first time in a while. We're not quite done yet (probably not even halfway through) but the game is pretty good. I do have some criticisms about it, though. I wish that they made Claire a redhead again (I thought she looked prettier) and that police station was obviously not kept clean for an outbreak going on for only a day or two. I also have to say that Claire has a real potty mouth. Hopefully she watches it when she's around Sherry.
With the limited amount of time I got, I hope to beat Claire's game and get around to Leon's.

Resident Evil 2 actually took place late in the outbreak, of going by the books. October 3 is when the nuke nailed the city. Unless they changed dates in the game, that jail should be extremely trashed by the time Leon and Clare arrive.
I hope I can get the opportunity to play the game soon, cuz dang, it looks awesome.

I try to ignore the novels written since I've noticed a few inaccuracies, but I think that RE 2 takes place around September 28 and when you play the game, it seems that only a mere few hours pass (the game starts at night and ends either in the early afternoon or morning the next day).
I've beaten the game already a couple times as both characters and I have to say that they really made things easier for Claire: she has good weapons for Lickers, the Tyrant stops following after a while (unlike Leon, where he doesn't leave me the hell alone until the end of the game), and the scenario for Sherry is shorter.
I love the ending for the game. I'm also really excited about the new DLC that is coming out. I really hope that RE3 gets made soon.

I must say, the games is hardcore awesom. I’m play it at my friends place who just signed in here and may be doing some role play soon. I hope they make a remake of 3, because they will be epic.
So far, the realism of the zombies is legit, the ONLY issue is the light dynamics of moving from room to room in the main police station lobby, but other than that, it is awesome. I just wish the bullets would kill zombies if you nail them in the head on the first or second shot, dammit.

I noticed that about the headshots. If you are playing standard or assist mode, you can wait a few seconds and get a few headshots. Hardcore mode is nearly impossible to get an instant-kill head shot. In fact, on hardcore, I've only seen one instant-kill and that was one by my sister. Hardcore mode is really hard and I'm still on Claire's scenario.
I'm almost positive that they are already working on the remake for RE 3, but I just hope that the Nemesis doesn't follow you the whole time like the tyrant does in RE2.
