Maybe humanity is suppose to reach a point at which it wipes itself out. Resident Evil and Terminator are two examples of ways it can happen. We already know how something like the T-Virus and Terminator can be made. Both involve programming, both involve a viral action of some sort.
In Resident Evil, it is a biological virus. In terminator it is a physical AI virus. Both involve raw natural selection. The machines would reach space and expand. The T-Virus or G-Virus entities may increase brain potential to where controlling things telepathically can be a thing, including space and multidimensional travel.
So, which is stronger ? We won’t know till they both meet. Machines disregard biological
life as pests of existence. The virus enhanced beings will disregard the machines as tools once they can take them over telepathically. Perhaps they will fight, perhaps they will merge. Imagine an army of terminators linked to the mind of a virus infected entity in total control of its entire surroundings.
Imagine for a moment, this has happened in around another star, perhaps in another galaxy. What if these entities eventually pay humanity a visit and decide to set up shop and proceed to wipe humanity out ? Imagine we have the ability to stop them before they can. It’s up to us to keep a cap on our tech and be prepared for what may be.
We must ask if we want to be the cosmic version of the isolated indigenous communities of the world, or the conquering colonials that enslaved them. To be kind and die or harsh and survive is the question. Earth is humanities only home.
