The lead wolf goes up a hill and down it. When you reach the top of the hill you see the terrain becomes steeper and more hilly. The wolf goes along the peak of a hill all along it, watching both sides. The trailing wolf stays a good follow distance, within visible range, until you go over the top of the hill, of course. After another hour or sonic travel you reach a river. There is a small wooden dock that’s nearly gone. The wood has rotted. There is no boat.

I look at them. I point and say “Across?”

The wolf gives you a look, and looks sad. Then she walks away, along the water to where the water is running through some rocks. She begins to cross the shallow, rocky portion of the river. The trickling of water sounds soothingly crisp. The rocks are slightly slippery and have a mossy texture to them, though it’s too dark to see what color they are and you are on FLIR, so they looks cool and dark.
Roll Dex to cross with her.

You make it across easily, but you can tell it could be slippery if not careful. You are lead along a hidden path that goes down along a steep descent. The following wolf, or now, young female, walks close behind you, looking back periodically. The path seems to cut down into the ground, though it looks natural, or as if it’s been like that for a very long time, almost ancient. You reach an area where the path is now rocky as the sides are, and the gradual descent gets deeper and deeper until there is only stone on either side, with the trees far above. In areas, the stone completely covers the path about 30 feet up, almost arching over.

You see through a crack on the right through the rock an overlook view of a ravine, though on FLIR is just looks like a video game landscape. There are some warm spots, and some cool spots, and you see the darkness of water flowing down all along it. The water flows in the direction you are going. Though, you can only see the other side of it because of such small crack. You know you are in for one heck of a view, if you are going that way. Though, your anticipation fades as you walk for another half hour down the path and into a cavern, where you hear someone shouting in your language, but you can’t make out what they’re saying yet because it’s broken up. It sounds female. The lead wolf picks up her pace and gallops. On your implants you hear the familiar voice of Lakeland once in deeper. She’s yelling.
2nd Lt. Lakeland: “Get AWAY, dammit ! Shop, go, go ! f**k off. Leave me alONE !” She’s not talking to you. Though she’s very much out of breath.

She must have gotten in range. “Lakeland, where are you? I may be coming up on your location.”

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “Let me go ! Noh !” You hear water, and she stops talking. The sound of water eventually fades. The wolf is nearly out of view going down the path. The young girl passes you.

I sprint with them and look to see if Lakelands waypoint is nearby.

There is a marker far to your right across the ravine, but you can’t see the ravine now. It’s actually showing up at an elevation that seems like it could be next to or in the river itself, though it just appeared and is increasing in signal the more you move location. Though, you are now down the ravine more than before, you are in a sort of tunnel that’s about four feet wide and at a slope that varies between 20 and 31 degree down. There are some spots in the tunnel that have a tiny stream of water flowing.

I keep heading in, assuming she may be in here. I pick up the pace and motion the wolves to do the same.

They aren’t really paying much attention to you, as they seem to know the area. The one that stays near you changes form multiple times and stays near you, the other scouts ahead and remains in wolf form. The tag of Lakeland continues to move down as if in the river. The proximity says 2.67 miles.

I sent you an image, the file it too big to upload here, but it shows a very crude drawing of where you and Lakeland are in reference to location. The pic is not actually what the terrain looks like, just is the terrain without the trees basically, and a fast drawing. Green dot is near you, blue is Lakelands position, which is closing the distance. You can’t see the river being in the path area, and can’t climb out from the path area because it’s too steep, however, there at times are small cracks you can see through, but it won’t be a nice view.
