It seems like all of this is a nightmare. It doesn't seem real. I feel like I am inside a horror movie. From the window in my apartment, I can see the sights that await me outside. People no longer human roam the streets eating anyone who appears to be alive. Cars are overturned, buidlings are on fire, and screams pierce the night air. This is the descrution of mankind.
Through the darkness, I make my way towards the sofa where I have the televison on. It has been a while since the transmission ended. Turning off the tv with the remote, I turn on my flashlight that I hold in my trembling hands. I have to leave before the situation becomes worse...but where should I go? The undead are everywhere...
Shuddering, I push the thoughts aside and hurry into my bedroom. Emptying my backpack that held my textbooks and supplies, I head into the bathroom with it. Stuffing a first aid kit and bandages inside, my heart pounds wildly knowing that the zombies would eventually find their way here. After taking one last look at myself in the mirror, I leave the room and enter into the main room, where the kitchen was. Opening the closest drawer, I take out a knife and gaze at it for a moment. This wasn't much of a weapon, but it is the closest thing I could find.

OCC: wow, thank you very much for your comments. I'll keep writing this story then!
Aburptly, I hear someone pounding loudly against the door, nearly causing myself to drop the knife. Letting out a shaky breath, I force myself to walk towards the door. What was on the other side? Was it a zombie? Peering through the hole in the door, I stared back at the wounded woman. There was blood everywhere. Clutching her bleeding arm, she looked directly at me, her eyes bloodshot from crying. Unlocking the door, the woman brust inside and grabbed a hold of my shoulders.
"Where is Eileen? Have you seen her?" The woman's voice raised, as she shook me roughly. "I can't find her!"
Shaking my head, I manage to find the words to respond to this woman who was near hysteria. "I am sorry, but I haven't left my room."
It takes me a moment before realizing who this woman was. It is Alyssa Gillespie, a single-parent, who lived with her little daughter, further down the hallway. I could hardly recognize her at first. Breaking down into tears, Alyssa releases her grip on me and looks down helplessly. It was best not to ask where the wound came from.
"Alyssa, I'll help you find your daughter." I reassure her. "She must still be here somewhere."
Wide-eyed she looked up at me. "Thank you so much..."
Once we were in the hallway, I noticed something strange. The lights overhead flickered every so often, as if they were about to go out completely. It was strangely quiet. Alyssa gripped a hold of my left arm, her fingernails digging into my skin. There was something definately wrong already.

As we headed down the hallway, the ground underneath us creaked softly with each step we took. Shadows crept over through the windows casting onto the carpet floor. Fearfully, Alyssa points towards where the elevator was.
"Eileen left to go to her friend's...I..I said it was okay..."
Her voice trailed off as she brushed away some more tears away from her soft green eyes. We continue on towards the elevator at the end of the hallway. Out the corner of her eye, I noticed Alyssa wincing in pain as she looked down at her bleeding wound on her arm.
"We should take care of that wound."
Alyssa smiled a little and shook her head. "You can take care of that once we reach the elevator."
Reluctantly, I decide that it was best not to push her. At lest she agreed to let me take care of her wound before it becomes infected, if it wasn't already. Pressing the arrow button to go down, I wait for the elevator to arrive with Alyssa beside me.
"After we find your daughter, we need to leave the city."
Alyssa stared ahead, hugging herself. "No, I will not leave."
Withthat the door to the elevator slides open and we head inside. As I take a first aid kit out of my backpack, Alyssa continues on as if she was talking to herself instead of me. "I still need to find William..."
William died in a car crash two years ago.

"Alyssa...your husband is no longer here." My voice quivers a little, as I tend to her wound. With closer inspection the wound appeared to be as if from a bite of some kind. Once I finished bandaging up her wound, I press the button for the ground floor and turn to her.
"My husband is worried about Elieen and I," Alyssa continued on tiredly. "I have to find him..."
It doesn't take long before we reach the bottom floor. As the door slides open, Alyssa hurries on heading towards the first hallway of rooms. Stepping out of the elevator, I glance around. The main lobby is deserted. There is not a trace of anyone. Exasperated, I follow after Alyssa through the maze of corridors leading to connecting hallways.
"Mrs. Gillespie!"
Alyssa disappears around the corner and hurries into a room labeled '203'. The door is already flung open by the time I arrive. Heistantly, I peer inside. Through the darkness, I can see Alyssa standing still facing someone or something in the shadows. Letting out a shaky breath, I shine the flashlight upon the shadows. Hunched over a corpse of a little girl, Elieen, is eating something in her hands. There is blood...everywhere.
Alyssa takes a step forward, her arms outstreached to her daugher. "Elieen...there you are. Please come back to me. I was so worried about you."
Before we could react, Elieen looked up, her skin a ghostly pale and hunger in her eyes, and lunged at her mother, biting deeply into her shoulder. Alyssa screamed as she fell down to the ground along with Elieen. Out the corner of my eye, I stared in horror as two other zombies staggered towards us. Stumbling out into the hallway, I held out the knife in front of myself defensively as one of the zombies took a step closer towards me.
It barely even looked human...
Darting past the zombie, I run down the hallway. Reaching the main floor, there is something pounding against the double-doors and I can see the outline of bloody hands hitting against the windows.

Taking a step back, something grabs a hold of my ankle. Startled, I look down to see an undead streached out on the floor. Its boney hands tightened around my ankle and it let out a groan. In the darkness I could barely make out how it was or what it looked like. With my knife, I plunged it into the undead's arm. For a breif moment, the undead released its grip on me. Hurrying over to the other side of the room, I could hear glass breaking from nearby. My heart pounded wildly. They had broken a window.
Fumbling for my keys, I am relieved to find that they are with me in my jean pocket. Peering out of the double doors leading to the parking lot, I spot a few zombies wandering around at the other end of the lot. Wasting no time, I brust outside into the cold night. The chilly gust of wind brushes past my face, as I hurry over to where my car is parked. Out the corner of my eye, I noticed a group of zombies heading off in my directon. It won't be long before they reach me...
At last, I manage to unlock the car. Once inside I lock the doors and put the key in the igniton. Starting up the car, I look back in the rearview mirror. The zombies are blinded by the light and shade their eyes. Seeing my chance, I waste no time in driving out of the parking lot.

OCC: lol, thanks im glad im able to scare someone
The darkness of the night provides little comfort as I drive through the streets. Everywhere I turn there is destruction and chaos. Overturned vehicles, buildings on fire, the undead feasting on human flesh...this is no longer Racoon City. This is hell. The image of Alyssa and her daughter still haunt my memory. Fumbling with the radio all I can hear is the static. Gripping the steering wheel tightly, I press harder on the gas pedal. Everything seems unfamiliar at night. Where am I going? Where is everyone?
Aburptly, a horrorfied woman dashes out into the street waving me down with her arms. "Wait! Please take me with you...!" Before she can say anything else a zombie lunges out of the shadows and sinks its teeth into her arm. The woman screams out loud in pain. Feeling nasuea wash over me, I quickly turn the steering wheel and drive down a back alleyway.
Bright headlights blind my vision. Everything happened in slow motion. Something collided with my car causing the vehicle to flip over. Closing my eyes, I bend over and sheild myself bracing for impact. The last thing before darkness overcame me I screamed.

lol, well i don't know if i should take that as a good or bad thing. in all being serious, i just like to describe situations as creatively as I can.
The icy cold awakens me at once. Groaning, I feel my head resting against something. It is when I sit back do I realize that it is the car bag. My head aches in pain. Placing my head on my forehead, I wince as my eyes try to adjust to the darkness of the night. Where am I?
Resting against the car seat, I let out a shaky breath. Out the corner of my eye, I can see out the window to my left. There is a street up ahead with a broken streetlight that flickers on and off repeatedly simular to the lights in the apartment...
The haunting groans interupt my thoughts sending the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up. All I can see is shadows lurching towards me from afar. Numb with fear, I desperately try to find the seat belt through the darkness. With a click I am free from my seat and I grab the bag of the things I had gathered from my apartment that laid on the floor.
Aburptly, bloodied hands slam against the side window. The groans grow louder. Screaming, I jump back and desperately try to start the car back up again...it wouldn't work.
