His right eye twitched when the small man approached and spouted out a long, drawn-out sentence to the remaining members. Zach had already sauntered his way out to the front when the man called another one of his co-workers into the room. He shrugged and his eyes moved across the room to settle on the small device that the man spoke of. Zach headed towards it, his right shoulder violently knocking against Leo's left shoulder as he passed; that was his answer to Leo's question. He reached the table and bent down, scooping up the object in his right hand and lifting it, flipping it over in his hand and eying the gadgetry.
What are we, Ghostbusters?
He reached down with his left hand and felt around on his belt until his fingers found a small velcro clip piece. He tore it off and planted it on the back of the cell phone. He then planted the cell phone itself on the other piece of velcro on his belt. He grabbed the cell phone and pulled it out, flipping it open, testing the strength of the build-in stretch cord that was attached to the anchored Velcro. He closed the cell phone and let it sling back to his waist. He turned to the rest of the team and sighed, walking forward a little bit and moving to the side of the couch, sitting down on it.

Brent looked at the tool he had been given and raised an eyebrow and laughed slightly. "Man...what's this? Are we living in the stone age or what?" He then took the blue tooth radio out of his ear, plugged it into his I-phone using a USB cable and started to disasemble the emergency device. Looking over the wires he started to punch in buttons on his phone. "How about.....we use some audio commands." He then began trigering the buttons on the device with audio commands he could use on the bluetooth microphone. He then took the cellphone they had been given and began donloading the features into his I-phone. Once he was done calibrating the features he left the divices disabled on the table.

John looked as the short man tolled him about the mission that everyone was doing and passed a small item to him, nodding to the man, he placed it on his waist after he had a small look at it.
He soon got bored again, so he created a small fireball and plated around with it with his fingers while leaning on the wall. Most of his co-workers did not seem that chatty, but that was fine with him. Besides. he was not the chatty type either. Clutching the small fireball. He looked at the two people on the couch, one was a lady who seemed sort of out of it and a man who seemed angry. Feeling the need to break the ice. John then said to the two of them.
"So... What's has brought you two to M.I.S.T?"

Genesis finished firing, not even really paying attention to what she had been doing. Her mind was elsewhere, but right now she needed to concentrate. She turned around and began listening to what all of the group were being told, reloading a clip into her handgun at the same time. She could see one of the members barging through the rest, 'she would have to watch out for him', she thought, snapping the clip into place.
Walking forward, carefully weaving her way through the crowd, she managed to pick up one of the devices that were semmingly like a cell phone too, handling it with a small amount of care, as though she didn't care whether it was dropped or not. Then she had slipped it onto her belt, and began walking over to the firing range, returning to her practice. The man 'in charge' was of no importance, he couldn't even hold the attention of the room, let alone hers. She would just wait, see if anyone else talked to her.
'Till then' she thought, as she put a hole through another targets head, she had all the time in the world.

Elijha rose from the sofa that she had been laying on for a good hour or so before the man entered, and beckoned her to join the others. Frowning a bit as she entered the room with her other team mates she realized one thing . . . man this is going to be a tough crowd. No one seemed to have gotten acquainted with anyone, and everyone almost seemed to be off doing there own thing. Though she really couldn't complain. She wasn't one for speaking up unless she was being spoke to, call it a flaw in her personality, or a troubled past. It really didn't matter much to her. She listened carefully to the man's speech and then looked her own phone over. Sighing a bit before she put the phone in a pouch and then clipped it onto her belt.
She looked around the room at the group of people as they once more went about doing there own thing. Elijha sighed again as she made her way for the exit. Hearing the man call for the older more veteran co-worker she looked back. Taking in his image as he disappeared into the room. No doubt our team leader. With that thought she stepped into the garage, and headed over to her bike. Removing the keys from her pocket, she hit the lock on the side that popped off the seat. Lifting it up to reveal a small hidden compartment, though not really hidden to those who ride bikes. She removed her inhaler before locking the seat back in place. Sitting on the ground she pulled her knees up and rested her arms on them. Her fingers playing with the inhaler as her mind drifted off into thought.

(Ok people. Major brought up a good point. From now on, we will do two posts in between my story posts. That will help with conversation and such, getting to know each other a bit better.)
Marv walked back into the hall and sighed. He really didnt like to lead people. He would have been content with breaking orders given to him by one of the other as*holes they dug up to do this job. Oh well.
He noticed the now single cell phone sitting on the counter. Must have been his. He looked it over while it still sat on the counter. After several seconds, he picked it up and slid it into one of the inside pockets of his coat. He breathed deeply and walked out the door to the parking garage.
In his usual place in the corner, he lit another cigarette and inhaled the smoke. It was then that he saw the woman sitting on the ground. She was running her fingers over something in her hand. He figured it was as good as a time as any to strike up a conversation with people he was going to be working with.
"So...how'd they rope you into this?" He asked, not sure how to go about this. He hadnt spoken to a person casually in the past three years.

Zach looked to John. Well, looked wasn't the greatest word to describe it. He lifted his eyes to him and scoffed is more like it. He didn't like these people- they were different.. Cocky.. Dangerous.. Most didn't even know how to follow orders well. Some were weak.. Some were too strong.. Some, more than others, were too confident in their ability to deal death. Himself? He always thought of himself as an intermediate. He didn't really care about their lives- he cared about himself. These people were more than capable of looking after themselves, and he didn't want to get to know them too well due to the fact that they'll probably end up dying. A bit presumptuous, possibly, but it was worth the risk of looking "negative".
"Look. I'm not here to talk. Either go somewhere else, or make conversation with that.. Freak next to me."
He turned his head and slid down onto the couch, snatching the remote from the table nearby and sliding his fingers over the buttons. His thumb hit the "Power" button on the top. His eyes flickered over the tv, watching it burst into life. He began surfing channels, his facial expression changing ever so often when a bad show was on. At last, he finally settled on a "Bounty Hunter" show and set the remote down, but making sure to turn the volume up first. His eyes scanned the screen as a large, burly man with blonde hair kicked in a door with a shotgun lifted. His eyes lowered as he continued watching.

Elijha nearly jumped out of her skin when the man who was called into the officer earlier started talking to her. She dropped her inhaler causing the metal cylinder to break apart from the plastic dispenser. Sighing a bit as she looked up at the man with a weak smile. "My foster father works for the FBI, he asked me if I would like to put my talents to use and help people," she explained lightly. Leaning forward onto her knees she crawled forward a bit, and grabbed the metal cylinder. Climbing to her feet she put her inhaler back together, and quickly put it in her pocket.
She looked over the man for a bit before she approached him. Elijha still kept her distance since he was smocking, and she really didn't want to trigger an asthma attack on her first day. "Mr. Callahan it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Elijha Perry, I hope to be of some help to this team," she said with a weak laugh before looking down at the ground. Shaking her head she looked up at him with a wide grin. "I use to work for a police department, and I have to admit that this is going to be quite a change from it. Like the futuristic S.W.A.T." She laughed slightly at the thought before looking behind her. "An you Mr. Callahan, if you don't mind me asking, what made you decide to join. You seem like a veteran to the profession, so what made you decide to come here?" she asked lightly.

Leo looked at all of the hunters...2 months of waiting to join people who he could quite possibly fit in with and this was what he got? He expected a bit more...brightness? So far they seemed worse than every day people who shunned Leo's abilities, perhaps they had been more socially deprived than he had? 'It's the first day,' he thought to himself, 'It would be weird if everyone started socializing immediately,' Leo watched as the man called 'Callahan' exited the office, looking a little more stale than before when he entered; he didn't waste any time leaving the area. At the same time one of the female hunters upped and left, 'Maybe it'll be different once we're in the field,' Leo continued thinking.
That was before he was nudged violently in the shoulder, his right hand instinctively rising to clutch it. Leo watched as one of the other male hunters continued towards the couch at one end of the room, 'Two cranky people,' Leo thought, 'This is beginning to get quite awkward,' he thought more over as the other female hunter left the room going back to the shooting range. Another of the hunters concerned himself more with the new gadgets they'd all been given instead of the rest of the group.
"This is ridiculous," Leo said under his breath, 'I did not join this group to be around a bunch of complete loners,' he then added to himself. He turned around and did a slight power run of about four steps and jumped up onto the table that the cell phones had been on; small feat, Parkour helped with that...Although what he was going to do next would most likely be more childish. He realised he was probably the youngest in the room by many years, so it's not like it mattered.
Leo chose his words carefully first, "Okay, I will confess my view that this is one giant awkward," he started, "It just looks like everyone is being a liiiittle too self considerate from the first impressions I've gathered," he carried the 'i' for added effect, making a small gap between his index and thumb and holding it up to his right eye as if to look at it, "I'm just trying to work out what's going to happen when we're on the field..." he started up a monologue scenario, " 'Hey you! That guy!' " he enacted pointing at an imaginary person at no where particular in the room, "I doubt that's going to be handy for addressing each other while we're in the field," he though it was a good point to get his argument across.
Leo relaxed and stood casually, hoping he hadn't appeared too intimidating from his initial speech, "What I want us to do is go around the room, introduce each other, how we ended up working for MIST-and only if you're comfortable with telling us," Leo couldn't help but empower the point of personal privacy, "And just for kicks let us know your Mitochondrial abilities and what you can do...if no Parasite Energy is present, tell us any of your other skills," Leo finished explaining.
"I'll start with myself," Leo began, clearing his throat after feeling a little interferencein the area of phlegm, "My name's Leonardo Daugherty...feel free to call me Leo. MIST employed me after they became aware of my Mitochondrial abilities, I also joined in hopes of meeting people with the same abilities as me who I could relate to," he thought that was a decent brief introduction, "My Parasite Energy revolves around the water element, I can heal myself and others freely and can also cure any sickness or diseases. I can also choose to withdraw the energy of my enemies and consume it...handy, but it's only been explained to me...not something I've had the privelage of exploring through experience. And a whole bunch of other things, but I'll keep the list short," Leo concluded.
He took a long breath out while tapping his heel on the table, hands clasped behind his back, "Okay," he pointed at Ryan, figuring he'd be the best to go with next considering he'd spoke with him earlier, albeit brief, "You next, Ryan," Leo hoped he wasn't jumping the bar too quickly by being this friendly...he didn't know how the mind of actual experience soldiers worked. He realised that a lot of these people likely had combat experience.

"Names Marvin. Call me Marv. Its nice to have a sense of purpose. A few years ago I was getting ready to die, and a few days later I was fine." He said. He doubted if she understood what he meant, but he didnt feel like explaining right now.
"Beats drinking myself stupid all day..." He said, looking the other way when he said it.
"This is getting a bit boring. I'm going to go check out their shooting range. Care to come?" He asked, walking to his car. He opened the trunk and moved the road kit/tool box. He popped the lid off of the tire spot and grabbed the case inside.
He walked back to the door and opened it, motioning inside for Elijha to come. From the door, he heard the tail end of Leo's speech.
"Sounds like everyone's making friends already."

Elijha just stood there as she watched Marvin shuffling around the trunk of his vehicle. Returning with a case as he shut his trunk and headed toward the door. She watched him as he beaconed her into the building. Looking around the garage before she quickly followed after him. As she walked into the building she heard one of the members of her team introduce himself. She stopped for a moment, and looked into the break room. He looked younger than her, but she figured he had to be at least her age or around. Her eyes gazed back at Marvin as he started moving down the hall, and toward the firing range.
She smiled a bit as she quickly gave pre-suit. "Mr. Callahan, I'm sorry to intrude on what your conversation was in the office, but I'm suspecting and I just want to verify my suspicions," she said lightly as they stopped at the door to the firing range. "Are you our team leader?" she asked lightly more un sure of asking. "Sorry if I'm intruding to much on what should be private, but I was wanting to prove or disprove my suspicions," she explained as they entered into the firing range.

(Sorry about the small post)
His eyes lifted from the TV to Leo as he spoke. Zach's right hand felt around while his eyes locked with Leos. His right hand finally found the remote and, while still looking at Leo with an innocent look on his face, his thumb depressed the 'up' key on the volume area until it was blaring out his own voice. He dropped the remote sarcastically and gave him a "look" before turning towards the TV. He didn't like people who tried too much to get to know people- it's almost like they can't do anything until everyone knows everything about everyone; unsafe.

Brent just sat on the edge of his van letting his mouse friend crawl across his shoulders and then back again. Most of these people were boarderline commandoes. They all appeared to have some kind of combat experience. He was clearly the weakest and least experienced here when it came to combat. He had guns and a slight bit of training but still could barely hit the broad side of a barn. He looked around the room. Everyone was either agressive or keeping to themselves. It wasn't suprising in a circle like theirs. Being sometimes threatened by modern society the only way to protect onceself was to protect themselves offensively or keep to the shadows. He had always been more layed back as he was protected as somewhat of a labrat. He was willing to speak but there seemed to be some sort of tension. That plus it wasn't his turn. Just realised that his pet mouse had jumped off his shoulder and was now approaching the group. Brent sighed, got up, saugntered over and picked him up and petted him. It was then that he realised that he had just walked into the middle of the group. He then smiled vaugly and laughed slightly.
"Thats...thats just Specks. Don't mind him. Guess he just wanted to say hello." He then started to laugh. He then put the mouse in the left pocket of his lab coat and Specks was quick to stand up and poke his head out to take a look around.

Ryan was probley one of the only people listening to Leo. Even with the T.V turned up, he could still make out some of the things he was saying. Ryan turned, and grabbed the remote that was previously dropped, and pushed the mute button, and twirlled the remote in his hand. Ryan looked over at Zach in a non threatening what was that all about kind of look. "Uhh... my names Ryan, I was recruited by M.I.S.T, while working for S.W.A.T."
He looked over at Leo, then at Zach.
"I'm looking forward with working with all of you."
He threw to remote back to Zach, an indication that it was his turn to talk.
He crossed his arms, and checked he time on his hand held device.

Zach grabbed the remote and flicked the mute button off, moving the remote underneath his butt, settling on it and staring at the television again, wandering off. He didn't care if it was his time to talk or not- he wasn't going to. If these people wanted to know who he was, or what he did, they could read his file- that's what the boss did. His eyes have seen too much death in the arms of these.. Creatures that they'll be fighting. He can't stand to have to be emotionally attached to any of the corpses in the room. It turned to commercial. It was a used-car dealership, an old commercial; a vision of a store in LA that was long gone- the cars there were in either now in ruin or already stolen. Riots had broken out after most of the orderlies ran away or were slaughtered like cattle. Zach rose his voice, deciding to say something.
"Shuddap!"
He was silent, then muttered something.
"I'm trying to watch TV.."
His voice was charming yet, the way he said it, the words had a harsh, raspy tone to it.
