(Entrance of the mall: Day 1, 7:00 AM) "Hurry!, grab whatever you can! we cant let the zombies get inside!" The man yelled as he placed a bench at the front doors while others found anything heavy that could block the zombies that were trying to get through. Ever since they first appeared, more and more of them appeared to the mall. There would be no hope for any person still stuck outside. A group of people can be seen around the entrance, the man yelling for everyone to get whatever they can to fortify the door is the most noticeable, second to the old lady looking for her dog. Some people around are pretty much down, still horrified about what has happened. All seems safe for now, but as they say "with every begining, there is a end"... (ok, for the first couple of posts, you can get acquainted with each other, and other things you might want to do. Once that has happened, I will bring in the zombies. People who played Dead rising will probibly know how I will do it ) Note: here is a map if some people are getting lost or need to know what shops are where majls.net/temp/dead_rising_mall_map.jpg

Mikey didnt talk to anyone. He didnt waste time looking around. His only focus was getting objects that could be used to fortify the doors. After several seconds, he saw a set of benches in the distance. They would work.
Running toward them, he looked them over. They were wooden and quite heavy. Perfect.
Heafting one in each arm, he jogged back to the doors and set them down. The men near the door slid them into place. Mikey ran off to look for more objects to make a barracaide.

Corey looked around for something she could grab hold of and bring over herself, but it was hard. Had she been stronger and not have something growing inside of her, she would pull over a bench. Finally, she saw something she could drag over.
Corey grabbed one of the huge vases that held a plant and began to drag it towards the barricading doors. With each tug she gave, she took a look around the mall. The first thing she thought of was the food court and along came a craving for chocolate cake and an Orange Julius. It was difficult, but she just barely managed to avoid heading off to calm her craving.
She looked around and could not see CJ in the crowd of people that came into the mall. Where could he have gone? Was he even okay? She dropped the vase over by the doors and headed after Mikey to see if she could lend a hand.

Joey watched the people barricade the door, and didnt know exactly what was going on himself. He knew the things outside want to get, and this group wont let that happen. Two people were already on the door job, so he thought three would be too much, and he would only be in the way. The first thing he thought about was what happens if those things do get inside. Joey whiped out his .45 handgun, and set off deeping into the mall.
He went to a Tool-Up hardware store, and took a large bag of nails, along with a hammer. He rushed back to the front entrance, and set them on the floor infront of the survivers. "My contribution, gentlemen... Lady...". Joey smiled, and then introduced himself. "My name is Joseph Doucette, but you can call me Joey, or Joe... Names arent very important right now, are they?". He nodded, and walked back deeper inside the mall.
Next, Joey made his way towards the hunting profession store. He wouldnt find any ammo for his .45 handgun, obviously, so he would need to make them last, but he did find a bunch of other guns. He put his .45 away, and picked up a .22 hunting rifle that was on the wall. After aiming it towards a target inside of a package on the wall, he heard a clicking sound from behind him. A man spoke out in a deep, rusty voice. "Get out of here... If you know what good for you...".

The zombies were starting to get restless, there was so many fresh flesh inside the mall, but they were blocked by the barricade. Suddenly, a small barking sound could be heard amongst the zombie, the old lady looked with glee, it was the dog she was looking for. Thinking of nothing else but the safety of her dog, she started taking down part of the barricade and attempted to open the door for her dog, even though everyone was telling her not to open the doors.
Sadly, it was too late, the old lady had opened the door and was "eaten alive before she could even reach her dog. the man who was yelling before was next, after being pinned down. The rest of the survivors looked in horror and started making a dash for it on the other side of the entrance plaza.
==================================================
In the security room, Otis watched as the zombies started moving in the mall. Feeling the need to save someone, Otis rushed towards the entrance of the security room. he looked down to the remaining people in the entrance plaza and yelled at the top of his lungs so everyone could hear him.
"Everyone! head for the Security room here, before the zombies reach the second floor here!"
Otis yelled the same sentence three times and looked at some people, who heard his call and started making a dash through the mobs of zombies to reach the security room. Some people were able to pass and reach the security room, others were sadly eaten alive.
(if you wish to live, you will need to start running towards the security room, (as seen on the map on the first post) you can take the stairs at the front or the escalators at the other end of the plaza, both will lead you to the security room on the second floor. but both vary in difficulty.)

"Oh fu*k..." Mikey wispered. He was directly in front of the barricade when the woman had opened the doors. He had tried to stop here, but there was no room for him to get in with the other men trying. But now, it was too late. He was now staring down several hundred ****ed off zombies.
They surrounded him, and started moving in slowly. He wasnt sure if it was because they couldnt move any faster, or if they were savoring the moment. He couldnt help but feel a moment of defeat.
Like hell. As one of them moved in, he reached out like a cobra, grabbing its head and twisting. Its neck bone cracked like a toothpick. He looked around for something to use, and spotted two things. A bench from the barricade, and the bag of nails.
He dodged a swing from one of the corpses with a backflip, and ended up on his feet just near the bench. He hopped up and landed on the arm rest, flipping the oppisite end up and taking out a zombie that was standing too close. Catching it with his hands, he held onto the armrest and swung it with all his might.
Several zombies went flying as he held on. After a few spins, he let it go. It careened through the air and knocked down 10 or so zombies. He didnt stop to count. Now he needed the nails.
He bent forward and let his right foot fly, spinning on his left. In one motion, he snatched the nails and kicked a zombie in the face. When he got the bag, he reached in and grabbed a single nail.
This is when he started to run. The stairs were near. When a zombie got near, he punched foreward. the nail in between his fingers would drop the zombie instantly.
When he finally made it to the stairs, he went up several and looked back to see if anyone was still alive.

Corey dashed through the crowd of people and wished that she did not have the bulge on her stomach. So many people were dead and still coming at her. She had to make it to the security room. She had to make sure that the life inside of her would have a change to live.
A wooden baseball bat was on the ground and instantly, she took it. Corey knew little about baseball, but she knew how to use the bat. When a zombie came near her, she gave it a swing to knock it back.
A zombified man made it up to Corey and was her first victim of the swing. Corey felt like she could cry. She knew this man as the father of one of her students, a very sweet man that went to every single one of his daughter's practices and performances with a smile on his face that was even on when his wife passed away. She felt bad that she had to hit him with the bat, but chances were that he was going to grab her and she would be just like him.
As Corey ran to the stairs, she felt grateful that she was only at the four month mark. She was still thin enough to do her ballet moves that would maneuver her around the zombies and she didn't tire so easily. She began to go up the stairs.

Elijha cried out as she crawled threw the crowed of undead. Though quick on her knees and hands she could feel the pavement cutting her knees. She had noticed that none of the undead seemed to interested in her, but it might have been because they were to busy trying to pile into the building. Once she had reached the clear she climbed to her feet, but not before one of the walkers grabbed her back pack. "Letgo!" she cried out as she jerked away falling onto the stairs as she did. She stifled a cry as she climbed up the stairs by her hands and feet.
As she hit the top step she stood up, and dashed for the security office. She took mental note of the people running to the office as well, and then the screams that echoed threw the building. She stifled a cry as she whipped the tears from her face. As she reached the security door she beat on it until it was opened, where she ran inside, and straight to the corner where she sat down. Pulling her knees up to her chest as she wrapped her arms around them. Rocking slightly as she watched the people enter the room. Her mind drifting to her mother and father.

Joey looked at the man from the corner of his eye, and then spoke. "You dont wanna do that... Im not the one you should be aiming that shotgun at..." Before the man spoke, Joey raised his leg, and kicked the gun upwards to the ceiling. It fired off, and Joey elbowed the man in the nose, knocking the shotgun from his hands. He heard another man up top yell for everyone to get to the security room on the top floor. The zombies had gotten in, guess the barricades didnt hold. Joey grabbed a crate of .22 ammo, and ran out of the store.
It was easy to tell that he was the straggler, and that the other had gotten up before him. But he wouldnt let that stop him, he had to regroup with the others. Joey ran down the mall, and towards the elscelator, almost jumping the side to get on it. The zombied by not gotten in, and Joey couldnt defend himself from them if they got close. The man in the gunshop ran out, and started firing shots off at Joey, but couldnt hit him from this fac away with a shotgun. The zombies all veered in the mans direction, and all Joey could hear was screams when he darted towards the security room. Getting inside as he felt it was just in time, he layed against the wall, and was busy loading the rifle. "Hey, what did I miss?"

Mikey, who was leaning on the wall of the security room, stepped forward and said "Not much, just the zombie apacolypse that poured through the front doors."
He cracked his neck and looked around the room. There were two women and two men, besides him. The pregnant one, the small one cowering in the corner, the guy with the gun, and the security guard. He figured the security guard would have an idea or two, so he asked.
"So, whats the plan? We gonna have some kind of rescure, or are we gonna sit in here and rot for the rest of our short lives?"

Corey didn't know how to answer that question. Sure, she wanted to get out of here safe and sound, but she had no ideas of what to do. She took notice of the smaller girl that was sitting in the corner.
Corey walked over to the smaller girl, sat on her own knees, and looked the girl over. Though she technically didn't know the size of the other girl, by the looks of her face, she looked around her age. "Are you okay?" she asked in a soft voice.

Elijha looked up at the woman as she talked to her. She smiled weakly as she held her knees tighter. Shaking her head no as she rested her head on her knees. This wasn't suppose to be happening. She was just suppose to come here and wait for her foster mother to pick her up. None of this made since . . . none of it was suppose to be real. It wasn't logical, and she couldn't understand it. Was her foster mother and father dead? Would they come to save here? What was going on? Questions running threw her head, and she didn't know the answers to any of them.
Closing her eyes she fought back her tears. "I- I want to go home," she spoke, her words more of a whisper than anything else. All she wanted to do was stay in her room, and under her blankets. Life for her just seemed to go from bad to worse. Almost like there was something there keeping her from enjoying her life. If it wasn't one thing it was another, and she couldn't take it anymore. She just wanted to lay in her own bed, and hid under the covers. "I- I just want to go home," she whispered again.

(Sorry Shan'do, but I have to continue along with the rp, but post yourself on the rooftop once we reach it after a few posts)
(Also, the survivor is my character so I can rp in this a bit more)
Otis watched as multiple people made a dash for the security room, only around four people made it in, some either died from trying to reach it or they made a dash to get deeper into the mall, he was about to run into the security room himself when another man, wearing a dark green jumper, brown shirt, Grey pants and short brown hair with hazel eyes run inside, with a smile, Otis started running to the security room, with some of the zombies finally reaching the top of the stairs.
Otis and the man entered the room and with quick thinking, he locked the door, ran to a storage room near the cameras, picked up a mask and blowtorch, moved to the door again and said to everyone as he put the mask on.
"Ok everyone, cover your eyes"
Otis then started welding the door and after a few minutes, he had sealed the door tight, hearing the moaning on the other side, he smiled as he slided down to the floor with a sigh.
"Well that should hold them, thanks to this door, it like having a wall between us and them"
He then started looking at the survivors, three were male and two were female, one of the woman seemed scarred out of her wits, the other seemed to be pregnant. The males however, seemed to be taking this pretty well, one of them looked like he could crush anyone with ease. With another sigh, he got back up with some trouble due to his old age and said to everyone.
"Alright, there are six of us that made it, not what I was hoping for, but it's as many as could get here, now, we should try to find more survivors while I try to contact someone outside for rescue with a radio I have with me in the camera room, now we just need to find a way to get from the security room to the rest of the mall"
================================================
Jake, the man who entered earlier, listened to Otis as he devised a plan to rescue survivors while trying to call for help, walking to the air vent that they were all standing, he then pulled out a vent opening, revealing a opening inside, he looked inside and said to everyone while leaning on the vent.
"Well one way that we could get to the mall would be to reach the mall though the vents and to the mall, there is a medium drop so the zombies cant get in this way. but we need a way to contact you so whoever go's out to find survivors can get info from you on whoever is around in what place in the mall they are in"
Otis nodded and walked to the camera room, picking up a two way radio, he passed it to Jake and said to him while showing it to everyone.
"This radio should help everyone communicate to here, once we start looking for survivors, ill contact you on any info that could be interesting in the mall."
Jake nodded and looked around, the two male survivors looked like they could hold their own in the mall, but the women did not, expecially the one on the floor, moving to the vent, Jake said to everyone as Otis moved to the camera room.
"Ok, I will head out to find any survivors that could be in the mall still, anyone who wishes to join me in finding survivors and supplies follow me through the vents, anyone else who cant handle the zombies should stay here and help Otis with trying to call for help, find survivors and see to the survivors that we find"
Jake then looked at everyone, wondering who would stay or who would go.

Joey looked towards him, and put his rifle on his shoulder, resting it easily. He then looked at the vents, he was too big to be doing that kind of crap. But if the security box was high enough the zombies couldnt reach the window, he could smash it out, and cover anyone with the rifle. It wasnt his decicision to make, as he wasnt accustomed to the mall, nor should his say in anything overpower everyones own opinion.
"I cant fit through the vents, so ill stay... If the zombies cant get at us through the window, maybe I could use it as a nice sniper point with my rifle, would give anyone out there some cover... Just a thought, but ya know, im not leaving through those vents..."
