Mickey wasn't thinking when she suddenly laid her free hand upon Pete's free hand and gave it a little tug. She originally meant for the tug to lead him back to the apartment and not shoot anything along the way, but she should have known better. Most strangers didn't like to be touched, or even grabbed, by a random woman he knew nothing about. For all she knew, he could jerk his hand out of her soft grip and put his gun to the side of her head before pulling the trigger.
"We are all inside my apartment. It's safe there for a while and there are some supplies left over." Mickey told Pete as she began to walk up the stairs, still holding his hand. "We are all very much harmless."

Pete looked up as he heard another voice, this one came from further away. A young man, Pete could just about make him out with the little light he had. He didn't look very old, but that was hardly the most vital information ever. What mattered was that someone was actually still alive. This new voice answered his question about the woman being alone. This young man and woman, another 'military lady' as it had been put, a baby and a dog. Pete admitted he didn't exactly think he would find a survivor on this trip, let alone a small group.
He felt a small tug on his free hand, the woman was trying to lead him somewhere. At first he didn't move, not quite sure what to make of it all. But, he'd run into a similar situation the first time he'd been here. He allowed her to lead him and slowly he followed her up the stairs. As they went she explained, that the group was inside her apartment and that there were a few supplies left over. She explained that they were all harmless. Pete nodded quietly, he still didn't know quite what to make of it. His right hand still gripped the weapon, although it was pointed downward threatening nobody. Partly through uncertainty, but he still didn't want to risk being attacked by anything. Particularly if something was lurking in the shadows... particularly something like another Licker.

Once Pete and Mickey came back in, Kal found a sheet and blocked the bottom of the door. "There, that should stop our smell from getting out to the zombies. There are six of us now, and that may draw some attention. So there are four of us now capable of protecting this place, and we're taking shifts. And mine is up first. Man, what's your name, anyways?"

Colleen shut down the laptop function and closed it as the newcomer was brought in the room. Taking a deliberate moment, she made sure that Pete could see her eyes as she picked up her PX4 pistol and settled it back in it's shoulder holster. Turning so that her BSAA patch was visible, she leaned down and picked up a bottle of water, cracking it and taking a swig before taking a second... and tossing it through the air towards Pete.

Mickey walked over to Chelsea and saw that, while she was laying down on a carpeted piece of the floor, she was still sound asleep. Hmmm...I should probably get a makeshift bed for her. Mickey thought. She left Chelsea alone on the floor as she was sure that no harm would come to the sleeping child, and searched around the room for something. She grabbed an empty laundry basket from the laundry room and a few clean outfits from the drawer into her room before reentering the living space.
Mickey then placed the basket by the couch and placed the clothes into the basket. She grabbed one of the spare couch pillows and placed it on top of the clothes. Chelsea was placed into the basket along with her little bunny and the blanket from the diaper bag. It wasn't much, but it would have to do for now.
"If you all would like something to eat or drink, there's food in the fridge and cupboard and I believe we have some juice and soda leftover. You're all free to take whatever you wish from them." Mickey said aloud to Pete, Kal, and Colleen.

"Thanks, Mickey." Kal walked in, and grabbed a cup, and poured himself a small cup of soda. "So, Cougar, any info on some common monsters that you're allowed to give to me? I'm probably gonna be here for a while, and I want to survive, and actually be a help for others. Also, dude, what is your name?"

Once they'd entered the room, the bottom of the door was blocked off with a sheet. Pete watched for a moment as the young man pressed it into place. His attention was diverted as a bottle of water came hurtling through the air toward him, he caught as it came to the end of it's flight. He held it up in a gesture of thanks before taking a small mouthful from it. As he did so he noticed something, a patch on her arm. A BSAA one. The BSAA? What were they doing here?
Pete also noticed the young woman start constructing a makeshift bed, on the floor was a sleeping child who before long was picked up and placed into a basket. He had no idea how she was able to sleep so soundly, possibly because she didn't have the knowledge of what was happening. At the offer to take something from the fridge he held up his hand and politely declined. "No thankyou" he said as the man addressed him, inquiring as to what his name was. Tell then his real one or make one up for now? It didn't hurt to be honest, it'd been a long time since he'd used an Alias. Even then, they had only been military codes for units. "My name's Pete" he said carefully sitting down on the edge of the couch. "What are yours?" he asked in return.

"I'm Kalonov, but you can call me Kal. My dog's name is Fangren." replied Kal, who finished his soda and got a bowl of water and a bowl of dog food for Fangren. He decided to let the others respond for themselves this time.

"Like Kal said... Cougar... or sometimes Colleen Hawkes. Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance." She said while sitting back in her seat, still munching on part of an MRE, and sipping on a bottle of water.
"Anyways... Kal... look, I'm sorry about the suspicion. Umbrella has a lot ex-agents, and families of executives who went to ground after the company was dissolved.", Pausing a bit as she looked to the newcomer, "Your standard Infected person has poor eyesight, hearing, and reflex time... except for a small percentage. Their sense of smell might remain the same, but one of two active theories is they track by some kind of pheromone sense... not quite smell as we're aware of it as humans."
She continued on after opening one of the cell-phones and checking the power level, "The other theory is they have some kind of heat-sense that we all have innately, but do not use often. It's partly why they'll remain stationary, but become immediately attracted within a certain range of a non-infected, or to places where there is power, open flame, or otherwise."
"You've seen what are called Lickers... a nickname for the second-generation BOW that per the files we were provided... deliberately engineered in laboratories by manipulating DNA and the virus. Like what Kal showed us earlier, Lickers have no sense of sight or smell. Instead they have hearing and the same kind of thermal sense I mentioned with Infected."
After a moment she finally added, "There's been some variations of these things... some insect hybrids... Spiders, roaches, and a few other insects infected with the Virus and then birthing beings that grow at a phenomenal rate. Also Ravens... Ravens who become infected begin to show more of a swarm mentality, attacking in groups to disable and devour. Their eyes will be red, even in minimal to no light."
The former Air Force NCO seemed thoughtful for several moments, and then just sighed, "Look... most of what I'm telling you is from files and briefings I've had... and what little footage I've seen. Like it or not this is my first field mission. Like I told you both before. I'm here because we detected some anomalous access to an old Umbrella warehouse facility computer system. But... I can't leave civilians in danger. So I've already let my regional office know that my mission will be delayed until we settle your situation. If it goes too long, they might pull in another agent... but right now I'm the only field-certified computer security expert on the east coast available. I only hope it was just some legacy programming engaging after a certain period of downtime, and not someone trying to get information on what was stored there... or if it's still there."

Mickey saw that Pete was taking a little look at Chelsea. The look on his face matched the one on her face when she was running through the city after leaving the restaurant and the child fell asleep. She let out a soft giggle and pointed her head in Chelsea's direction, "She's a heavy little sleeper isn't she?"
She then realized that it was her turn to introduce herself and, once again, she ended up being the final one to introduce herself. "I'm Mickey Leona. The little sleeper in the basket is Chelsea."
Mickey headed to the kitchen and opened the fridge. Strange. Allyson didn't take anything to eat or drink. Even the bottled water was left in the fridge, five bottles. Mickey took one of the bottles and sat down on the living room couch. "If anyone's tired, you can use my room or you can sleep in my roommate's room." she announced, offering a bed to sleep in.

~Enter Kaiser~
From down the hallway, a few gunshots could be heard; they were at single, regular intervals, and fairly loud, sounding as though they were coming from a handgun of a more powerful than regular caliburs. As sudden as the gunshots came, everything fell back into silence. It was quiet, but that was a good thing right? No sounds of zombies, but no sounds of gunshots either. Of course, if the person who fired those shots was dead, then surely there would of been screams and such, right? A moment later, one could here small but long stressful sounds of creeking floorboards and light footsteps could be made out from the stress of the floor.
Suddenly, three knocks were heard on the door; someone was outside, but it could very well be a zombie banging on the wooden finish. Without an answer or a response, another three knocks were heard, and then the handle had started to turn; of course, the door was locked. Finally, the sound that everyone wanted to hear was heard; a man on the outside in the hallway called out to the residents of the appartment. "You gonna let me in or what?" Jake said abruptly, staring at the door, waiting for someone to open it.

"I'm not sure if I should be happy or concerned that this place is filling up faster than a five star hotel. Sure, we'll have more defense, but we'll be drawing more attention." Kal got up and walked over to the door. He looked out the peephole and didn't see any zombies near the man, who looked sane enough. He opened the door, and had the man come in. After this, he re-covered the base of the door with the sheet. "And then there were seven. I thought that in these zombie things, the survivor numbers were supposed to diminish, not grow exponentially. Intros again... I'm Kal, or Kalonov Dyne, and this is my dog, Fangren. Who are you."

As everyone introduced themselves, Pete gave them a polite nod and a small smile in turn. When Mickey spoke about Chelsea being a heavy sleeper he nodded and half smiled as he looked at the child again. "Sure is" he said quietly. The woman present, who Pete got the impression preferred to be called Cougar began talking to Kal. She was going to into details about certain types of infected and BOW's. He did learn one or two things however, that Cougar was some sort of computer expert within the BSAA and that it was her first field mission. Hmm..., he took that one in carefully before releasing his gaze from the sleeping baby.
His attention was rapidly diverted as there was a thumping on the door. The G36c went up very quickly and was pointed directly at the door, he focus carefully and waited. Sure enough there was another knock, it came again before there was a pause. The door knob was twisted but the locked door didn't budge. Pete lowered his aim slightly, since when did zombies try and.... The voice erased his thinking, he blinked slightly, well at least zombies didn't try door knobs. The voice outside was demanding, clearly bored and wanting to get in. Kal opened the door and sealed it up again before introducing himself to the stranger. By now, Pete had lowered his aim but the hands were still tight on the weapon. Deciding to wait for the stranger to introduce himself before he said anything.

By now, Colleen had started to become a bit more immune to Kal's more impulsive behaviors, but still, watching him move close and open the door without checking it made her mentally since and think -That boy is going to get himself shot he keeps that up...-
With another person being brought into the apartment, she immediately went to check the charges on all the various devices laid out. Phone and computer were both quick-charge and were done, so they slipped back away in her pack, followed by her nightvision binoculars. The PTT phones were almost done, but she left them out anyways. Each one was opened on the side panel, and into each she put a small memory card... so that they could synch themselves to the BSAA line she used, and work inside the city.
Finally done with the bulk of her work, and knowing she would not have to plug anything in for a good 48 hours, the woman watched the newcomer from her spot at the table, casually wolfing down the rest of her MRE meal, and keeping her tongue as well.

Kaiser looked around the room breifly; the light from the room reflected a bright gleem from the bloodred lense of his mask, giving him a clearer vision for a brief moment; everyone seemed to be in a state of disposition, but Kaiser couldn't really pinpoint the cause; because of the horde of undead outside, or because there was a man in tactical gear with his face covered by a steel plate? Nevertheless, it wasn't particularly his concern about the survivors; survival is their responsibility alone.
At first, Kaiser did not draw attention to the man opening the door; he heard and understood exactly what he said, but he gave him no notice. Scouring at the people infront of him, he first drew attention to the young lady at the table eating her meal, then towards the man with the gun in his hands; he recognized the make of it, but sure enough it was a good tactical firearm. Finally, he turned his attention to Kal, but the turned back around again.
"Firstly, don't take this situation as a joke; it's easy to get killed in these circumstances. Secondly, you should of left your dog behind; it could prove to be a liability in many ways. Lastly... I'm Kaiser; nice to meet you Kalonov." Kaiser pointed at the gun that the man infront of him was holding in a powerful gesture. "Kecklar and Koch USP 45, 1993 model," Kaiser began, giving off a descriptive analysis of the firearm. "A semi-automatic pistol with a mechanically locked breech using the short recoil method of operation; a rather conventional lock-up system that has a large rectangular lug over the barrel’s chamber that rides into and engages the ejection port cut-out in the slide, minimalizing recoil, meaning a steadier arim, thus more accuracy. Downside? It's loud; don't fire it off unless you want to attract zombies." After his rather long-winded speach, Kaiser walked across to the otherside of the room, staring out of the window to the grounds below. "Do we have a plan or an exit route besides the main lobby?"
