Lance drove up to the fall out shelter and saw a zombie. So he slammed the gas peddle to the floor and went slamming into the zombie killing once it hits the ground and snapped its neck. Lance got out of the car with his 9mm drawn and ready for anything and shut the door. Then Lance saw a giant black four legged body sitting on the side of a wall looking at him. Lance went to open the door and jump back in but the giant things tongue went flying at Lance. So Lance had to jump out of the way and fired off a few rounds at the creature, but it just jumped out of the way and the bullets missed and just hit the wall. Lance ran behind the car and started looking around to see if he could see the creature. Then he heard a big thud and then shatter on the top of the cop car. Lance looked up quickly and fired off another few rounds but missed again.
Lance reached for the door handle to the back passenger side door but almost had the tongue of the creature slam into his hand. So Lance ran to the other side of the car and then looked over the hood of the car to see if the creature was still their, but it wasnt. Lance started to look around again. Then he got a idea. So he reach for the door handle again and the tongue came flying at him again. Before the tongue hit the car he aimed and let off five rounds at the creature wounding it. Then the creatures tongue came wiping around. So Lance ducked and let off the rest of the clip that he had left in his 9mm killing the creature.
Lance drew his Dan Wesson M1911 pistol and walked over to the creature and kicked it to make sure it was dead. Once Lance knew for sure that it was dead he looked around for signs of any more of them. Lance wasnt able to see any more so he haulstered his Dan Wesson M1911 and reloaded his 9mm. Lance looked at his 9mm and said to himself, "damn i really need to learn to concerve my ammo."
Lance started looking around for anything that might help him, but he couldnt find anything. So Lance walked back to his car and got back in and left.

[The group our now at the fallout shelter]
" Here we are ! " Tabitha said enthusiasticly to the others. Tabitha pulled herself out the car and walked very slowly to the barracaded fortrece. " Help me open these metal doors! " Tabitha asked nicely. The team pushed the sliding door and entered the shelter. The lights flickered as Tabitha walked in, the floors were drenched in blood and there were several bodies on the floor. " s***.. Its massacre.., you think theres some massive thing in here like back at the mall?" Tabitha was worried but tried to stay positive. This place was full of tunnels and diferent corridors so Tabitha had to make some rules. " Right this operation is going to be quick and simple, We going in pairs and splitting up to search the building for anything usefull! Jack your with me , Tyler, Sam you two are together. I've got two walky talkies so take one. " Tabitha handed Tyler the walky talkie and smiled. " Tyler and Sam you search the corridors on this floor, Me and Jack will search the lower floor. Stay alert and don't get killed" Tabitha joked about the last bit but the others looked worried. Tabitha grabbed Jacks hand and pulled him down the stairs.

Stepping off the staircase, Jack's foot sinks into something soft. He looks down to see that he has plunged it into the partially liquified remains of what used to be a human being. The disfigurement from injury and rot is so extensive that it is impossible to even venture a guess at age or gender. Jack retches, and fights to keep from vomiting.
The air in the shelter was almost unbreathable from the stench. "Let's not stay here longer than we have to."
He digs amongst his belongings for a moment and brings out his flashlight. He keeps the beam low so that he can avoid stepping on anything else unpleasant.
As he advances down the corridor, Jack says: "We should keep an eye out for a pantry or infirmary. I have some food from the Shopright center, but it won't hold out long split four ways. With a bit more food, and maybe a car, we can start thinking about looking for a safer area; the countryside is a fair bet. We'll talk it over with the others."

Sam un-holsters his M1911 and follows after Tyler. They choose to go down one of the tunnels to the left of the main area. As the light fades away Sam starts to dig through his back pack.
"Hold on" he says "I have a flash light I found in the shopping center somewhere in here."
As he pulls it out, turns it on and turns back to the direction they were headed, Sam gazes upon a horrible sight. He tries to tear away but is sickened and enthralled by the scene.
There is a pile of dead bodies, bloated and rotting, as tall as them and goes from wall to wall.
"What the hell did this?" asks Sam, looking to Tyler for the answer.

OOC: Well I can try but the spacing is only for quotes like how it is in a book but I will try something different. And the post was actually supposed to be longer but I started it, but then had to leave and lost my thought by the time I got back. Thanks for the compliment though

(OOC: dude, don't sweat it. Spacing out the quotes makes your writing alot easier to read. Just try and add stuff like what he's thinking, as in direct thoughts of his)
Tyler felt vomit rise in his throat, but he fought it back. Throat stinging, Tyler got as close as he could without his eyes watering, trying to discern what had gotten ahold of these people. The decomp was so bad they were basically fluid. 'Jesus, how many people died down here?' he thought morbidly, standing back up from his stooped position 'And is whatever did this......still here?'
Farmer turned to Sam. He was a bit older than Tyler himself, a little shorter, and he might have been a bit lighter as well. He looked to be a capable survivor to Tyler, so he figured he was in good company "I don't really know if I want to find out." said Farmer, nodding back towards where they had come " Do you wanna head back and tell them what we found over here, or keep going?"
Tyler actually wished he knew what it was. That way he would be able to make a better choice about whether to leave right away, or hang around and take it out, whatvever it was. Being in the dark wasn't something Farmer had ever liked. A bunch of zombies was one thing; they could deal with that. But if it was anything like the last creature they had faced, Tyler didn't want to be stuck in these narrow tunnels with another one of them.

OOC: Taylor I agree with your acusation, plus I think Dark will become a good member of our RP society Tabitha felt sick, the smell of rotting flesh and blood made her feel uneasy. She reached into her bag and also took out her torch. She flicked it on and used the light to guide herself through the narrow tunnel. They walked on through the tunnel until they came up to a door that read " Guards Defense and Equipment " . " yay! This is it! " Tabitha screamed in joy. Tabitha realised Jack looked uneasy and very pale. Tabitha reached into her bag and pulled out a small box, she opened it. She took out a chocolate bar and some water. " Have some of this, I've got plenty! " Tabitha smiled and grabbed the door handle. It was stained with blood. Tabitha pushed open the door and quickly scanned the room. Suprisingly enough there were four combat tops, " Wow! These are like the tops they where in the S.T.A.R.S team! " Tabitha said in joy. She picked one up and passed it to Jack. She picked up another and put it over her top. It was a bit big but it would do. Tabitha scanned the room and opened a box labled 'Battle Ready' . " Damn, no weapons! " Tabitha said annoyed. " But there are some other things! " Tabitha picked up a small LED light which attached to her gun. Also in the box was two laser sights which attached to a handgun and another attachable light. " Here attach this light to your gun! The other two can have the laser sights" There was a knocking on the door.

Jack nearly choked on his half-eaten chocolate bar when he heard the knock on the door. For a moment, the silence was broken only by the faint shuffling sounds made by Jack as he crammed the food and light attachment (he hadn't time to affix it to his weapon) into his pockets and got into something approximating the "Weaver stance" (a bit modified, since he still held his flashlight) that he had seen others use to shoot. A few moments passed.
"That sounded like a knock, right? A knock like people make, not bashing the door down?" This could be another survivor, rather than something infected. But that didn't necessarily mean this person wasn't a threat.
"Hello?" Jack called out. No answer.
Jack whispers to Tabitha: "I hope there isn't something waiting for us to step out.
The tension becomes too great for Jack and he approaches the door, quietly as possible. He listens to the silence a moment more, grips the handle and flings the door open. The beam from his light reveals only the wall of the corridor, and as he steps out, only an empty hallway.
"There's something or someone else in here." Jack pauses a second before continuing "I think we should leave soon, if not now. This is a real easy place to get trapped. Besides, Sam and Tyler probably found some supplies by now."
Jack begins fiddling with his weapon, working out how to connect the light attachment.

Sam looked at Tyler with a look of sorrow in his eye. He knew they had to keep moving since all they found so far were dead bodies. Not much you can say when you get back empty handed and a sort of weak story.
"I know you don't want to hear this but I think we should keep moving until we find something." Sam says thinking how he could apologize to Tyler for possibly getting them into trouble.
They moved to a hall on the right, Sam holding the flash light high in the air to see as far ahead as they could. The hallway always seemed to stop suddenly before going on for what seemed like forever. As they moved deeper they heard a shuffling sound behind them but when they turned around they didn't see anyone or anything behind them. Sam looked at Tyler questioning himself before he put it out there.
Before Sam could ask Tyler answered him "I heard it too."
"Should we go back and see what it was?" Sam asked, already regretting the question before it had left his lips.

"I really don't like this," Tyler said, shaking his head "This thing is probably messing with us."
Tyler scanned as far as he could back where they had come from. He didn't see anything, but he still didn't like the feeling he was getting. Tyler adjusted the grip on the rifle, taking a little comfort from the higher calibur weapon. He could remember several creatures that were smart enough to employ these kind of hunting tactics. In these tunnels, none of them sounded good.
"I say we keep going, but I'll walk backwards. That way, we'll probably see whats coming." said Farmer, gesturing for Sam to lead the way. They started moving, Tyler walking backwards as Sam led the way. If Sam stopped, Tyler could bump into him and know. He kept his eyes scanning the darkness behind them.
Suddenly, Tyler heard something in front of him. He raised the rifle with a sharp whisper to Sam. He strained his eyes, trying to spot something, anything in the darkness. "Jack? Tabitha?" he inquired into the shadows, ready to fire. There was no sound. Tyler hissed a curse under his breath. "Alright, keep going, but listen for my footsteps." said Farmer, glancing over his shoulder at Sam "If they stop, you'd better turn around and find out why."

Tabitha turned on her portable radio. " Tyler,Sam do you copy? " No reply. " I hope their alright" Tabitha said worried. " We need to get back to the meeting place" Tabitha said determined to find them.
Tabitha switched on her light attached to her pistol and aimed down the narrow tunnel. Jack was about to follow when Tabitha felt something wrap around her leg and her mouth. It pulled her into the darkness further until she couldn't see Jack. Jack didn't see where Tabitha went he only left the door of the room to find she wasn't there.
Tabitha woke up and found herself in a room with 3 maybe 4 other people. Her vision was blurred but what she could see was three people huddled in a corner, terrified. Around Tabitha were several dead bodies covering the whole floor. " Exuse, where are we? " Tabitha said with a tremble in her voice. The people satyed quiet as Tabitha stared. Whatever that thing was, Tabitha was next.

Tabitha plunged through the darkness almost entirely without a sound. She was entirely out of sight in an instant and it was not clear where she could have gone. Jack shone the flashlight beam down one side of the corridor, and then the other. She was just gone.
Something had taken her, but he didn't know what to do. He didn't know where to start looking, and calling out seemed like a terrible idea. If she could call back, she'd already be screaming anyway. It was possible shouting would just attract the attention of whatever was hiding in the darkness.
Okay, Jack thought, she has the walkie talkie. I'll find the others, and then we'll try contacting her.
Jack retraced his steps, quietly as possible, until he reached where he and Tabitha had split from Tyler and Sam. He then went down the route they took, hoping to find them quickly. He pauses every few moments to listen for signs of Tabitha or the others. After what feels like ages, but is only minutes, the beam of his light falls across Tyler and Sam.
"Guys" he hisses, "Tabitha disappeared. I think something took her, but it was like she just vanished. There's no trail to follow. Try calling her on the radio and see if we can find her."

"s***" thought Sam "Now there are 3 of us running around in the dark and something is hunting us"
Sam looked at Jack grimly. It is just terrible to hear that they were losing people to shadows. The bodies that littered the building were of those who weren't lucky to get away, now Tabby might be amongst them. The thought of just running ran through his head like a bullet bringing pain and confusion with it. Sam took the radio from Tyler and spoke into it.
"Tabby?" He called into the radio. "Tabby can you hear me? Tabby please respond."
He strained his ear to hear only static coming from the radio. Nothing. No response. No cries for help. Just static blaring through the radio at what seemed to them a deafening level of volume.
"We have to find either her or what ever is in this cursed place!" He yelled to them getting upset by their current predicament. "If she is...you know...we can't just let that creature keep killing people. This thing has to die." He said, following the path Jack had just come from.

Tyler, not even aware he had the radio, felt Sam take it from his hoodie pocket, and he struggled to keep his face from turning red. Obviously Tabitha stuck it in there when he wasn't paying attention.
When he heard Sam mention killing the thing, he followed after him "Listen, I'm all for saving Tabby," he started, motioning for Jack to follow them "But killing the thing is another story. Once we find her, we get out of here. No use in getting ourselves killed trying to fight this thing."
Tyler wanted to get Tabby back as much as they did, but the idea of chasing creatures through these dark tunnles didn't seem like such a good idea to him. "All I'm saying is that we get her, get out, and leave a 'Beware of Monster' sign on the door before we leave."
As he said that, he heard something clanking against something else somewhere further down the path. The rifle shot up, hands shaking. Tyler saw that and steeled himself, taking a couple deep breaths.
He reached into a homemade pocket on his right leg, pulling out his flashlight. He twisted the bulb part of the flashlight until it turned on. Tyler looked back at the others "Okay, aim at the shadows." and rolled the flashlight into the darkness, the light spinning, illuminating shadows as it went. It spun in a way so that it faced down the hallway, and lit up something in the hallway.
Tyler took a shot with the rifle as soon as he saw it, the bullet hitting the shadowed creature, which let out a hissing scream and melded back into the darkness. Tyler slowly moved forward, scooping up his flashlight as he did before waiting for the others to meet him.
