The RCFD; the place where friends are made and fires are in the beginning stages of being eliminated. Once a place heralded as a heroes apartment, it is now an empty, desolate building comprised of nothing more than abandoned rooms, cracked shower rooms, destroyed lockers, and trashed fire engines. Most of the water had been used up and almost everything is overturned and destroyed within, leaving nothing to the imagination. This is one of the first places that a riot broke out due to the inactivity of the firemen, leading to a rough uprising of undead which took over the station. Zombies stumble about the place frequently but the building is not all lost- the corpses inside are already walking and not rotting any further on the ground, which means they could be led outside to help fortify the building against intruders. Although, be warned, there may already be a pocket of survivors within.

When July made her way back onto the streets, things were fine in the beginning. There was the occasional zombie walking around. No big deal. The damn things were so slow that she could walk right by them...while doing a quick evasion move. They didn't even have the chance to touch her. Then the dogs came.
They were a whole different story.
The dobermans on the streets were faster than the zombies, though not quick as fast as the girl was on her feet. However, the animals were fast enough to assure her that she could not walk by them with ease like she could the people. They showed no fear in their clouded eyes and she could swear that they had fourteen-year-old dinner on their minds. So the thief ran.
The dogs chased her all the way into the Fire Station, around the cars where few zombies walked aimlessly, two that she could see and took down with a quick shot to the head. She walked by a firetruck and from the inside, another dog tried lunging out at her but didn't quite make it. In the distance, another moan came.
Great. I finally leave the dogs and I get this.

(Hi there, heres my character profile for his appearance, ect. residentevil9.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=accepted)Weaving in and out around the stationary vehicles, Kaleb tried to find his way too the Corrections Facility, but he failed to find any road signs. Growing frustrated with the random undead smashing against the truck, he noticed a young girl running being chased into a fire station. A survivor? Maybe she knows how I can get to the correction facility Kaleb thought to him self, as he turned off the truck, grabbing his duffle bag as he jumped out. Kaleb let out a sharp whistle, getting the attention of the dogs, as they ran towards him he brought them behind the truck, before hopping up onto the back of the truck and running to the front, jumping onto the hood and then another leap to the ground, he broke off in a dead sprint for the fire station as he reached the door he yanked it open before slamming it shut behind him. Woooo.. that was close As Kaleb caught his breath he turned around from the door, jumping back and hitting the back of his head on the door from the sight of the girl standing right in front of him. "WOAH! Jesus girl you startled me, are you alright?"

(Here's the link for July's profile: residentevil9.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=accepted&action=display&thread=9663) July turned her head slightly before turning her whole body around to face the newcomer quickly. As if on instinct, she pulled out her gun and pointed it at him. He didn't seem like he would hurt her and even if he could hurt her, she wasn't afraid of him. She could take down anyone despite her appearance. The handgun had to be turned at an angle just to get to be pointed at his head. July stepped forward and stopped three feet in front of Kaleb, the gun still pointed at his head. She took this time to examine him without actually touching him. Like most other males and creatures she came across in Raccoon City, he was at least a foot taller than she, perhaps even more, and weighed a lot more than she did. Still, that didn't answer her questions of if he happened to be a threat or not. "You with them?" she asked sharply, indicating the creatures roaming the city's streets.

Kaleb' eyes widened as the girl pulled out her gun and pointed it at him, as she stepped in closer he tried to grasp the situation at hand, A gun? Why does she have a gun, she looks like shes no older then 14.. Kaleb put on a nervous smile as he slowly let his duffle bag slide to the ground. "Hey, I am not with them, and I promise I am not dangerous." He slowly lifted up his shirt and spun around for the girl, showing her that he had no weapons concealed on him. "I am just going to open this slowly and dump it on the ground ok?"
Kaleb emptied his duffle bag onto the floor. "See, nothing to worry about, I wont hurt you, promise." Kaleb' smile changed, it felt a lot less forced for him this time. He put his index finger on the side of barrel, and lightly pushed it away from his face. "My name is Kaleb, I seen you being chased by those dogs and just wanted to make sure you were alright." Kaleb continued to smile as he looked the girl over, Judging by her clothes, id assume homeless, but how did she get that gun...Kaleb shook his head before looking back into the girls eyes, "And your name is..?"

July quickly moved her gun back at Kaleb's head even though it only moved two inches. She was not pleased. "You touch my gun again and you'll get a bullet in your brain." she threatened. How dare he touch something that belonged to her.
The girl then raised and eyebrow and slowly lowered the gun. Kaleb probably got her message and far, and he looked defenseless enough. Though he had muscles, if he were to try and grab her, the girl was likely faster than he was so he couldn't get close enough to grab her. The gun was lowered to her side but her grip didn't loosen in case he tried something that could be threatening to her.
"I'm July and I ain't scared of you." she said in her still sharp voice.
The window from a truck broke open and the dog trapped inside crashed through. The flesh was already rotted and the eyes blank and milky with blood coming from the mouth. Through its blind eyes, it managed to target the two teenagers and began to rush towards the two of them.
"Ah hell." July muttered. She fired two quick bullets at the rushing dog. One missed and the other hit the ribs. The dog gave a little yelp but continued running at them.

This girl is defiantly different, her speech seems very off, and her actions are way to aggressive. As he tried to get a grasp on July, he heard the windows smashed out from the truck, and quickly put his attention there. As July fired two shots at the dog, Kaleb was caught off guard by the volume of the gun as two rounds rang out, causing him to wince and close his eyes.
After July' second shot hit the dog, Kaleb opened his eyes again, and to his surprise the dog was still sprinting at them, as it got closer to them he quickly placed his hand onto July' right arm, "Look out!" Kaleb yelled before pushing her down making her slide away on the marble surface. Right as he pushed July, Kaleb turned back to the dog, Crap not enough time to dodge Kaleb took a step back just as the god leaped towards him, knocking him backwards into the corner of a metal shelf.
The shelf pierced half an inch into Kaleb' back, between the shoulder and spine. Not even noticing, he quickly turned his attention to the dog that had him pinned. Kaleb placed both of his wrists under the dogs neck, managing to keep it up just high enough to avoid being bitten. The dogs jaws were getting closer with every attempt, Kaleb removed one of his wrists from under the dogs throat and felt around above him on the shelf, grabbing the first solid thing he felt and swinging it towards the dog, smashing the flashlight into the side of the dogs head.
The dog fell onto its side and Kaleb quickly got up, hitting it again as hard as he could to make sure it was dead. Kaleb dropped the flash light, and pulled his thermometer out from his jean pocket and placed it in his mouth, He began to walk towards July, unaware of the wound on he had, as the blood began to run down his back, staining his shirt and jeans before dripping to the floor. He smiled at July and put his hand out to help her up, "Jeez that was close, are you alright?"

July glared at him from the floor. Had she been growing up normal, she would have said the two words that everyone said when they were rescued by something that was about to kill them. Instead, she used her own version of "thank you". "I don't need you to protect me."
Refusing his hand, the girl stood up on her own, but she didn't really say anything insulting to his face that was another way to show her gratitude. Her huge eyes stopped at the blood spot appearing on Kaleb's shirt. The red was all too familiar. Many important people to her lost a bunch of the thick, red liquid.
"You're bleedin'." she said simply.
A moan came from her left. The other zombie was coming towards her. July rolled her eyes and quickly took it out with one shot to the head. The room became silent of anything moving that should not be. For now, she was safe. Unfortunately, the last bullet emptied her magazine. Her only spare was to be used in the gun and that meant that she had no other spares.
Fortunately, she had a hunch that she knew where the staff room was and she knew that any staff room had a first-aid kit and a weapon and ammo inside. She felt she had no use for the kit or the extra weapon so she chose to be nice and give them to Kaleb.
"There are guns and a cross kit in the back. You ain't got a gun, you're gonna die." She didn't say much else but started to walk towards the back and motioned for Kaleb to follow her.

I aint need need you to protect me huh? This girl is defiantly different. Kaleb thought to him self, as he pulled out the thermometer from his mouth, "100.5 huh?" All the excitement and fighting with the dog got me pretty warmed up it looks like Kaleb put the thermometer back in his pant pocket.
As July helped her self up, Kaleb smiled when she told him he was bleeding, Looks like there is a human being under all that aggressiveness after all Kaleb thought as he picked up the contents from his duffle bag and put them back in, zipping it up before chasing after July.
"Umm, even if we go get me this gone, I do not think I would be much use with it, I have never fired on before, and if you do not mind, how did you learn to use a gun so well?" Kaleb asked in a attempt to make small talk the girl.

"Secret." was the only answer July gave about the how she learned to use her gun. There was no need to tell someone she didn't fully trust the real place what she did for work. For all she knew Kaleb could be working with the police and if he knew that what she did was illegal or who she worked for, she would end up dead either by her boss or the cops. "'Sides, all you do is point and pull the trigger, but if you're too scared, they got other weapons back there." she added.
She walked through a door and listened carefully. She heard no other dogs at the moment, but she did hear faint moans. They were far enough not to be too much of a threat, so she ignored them and continued walking until she got to the back. She stopped in front of a door with a five letter word on it. She attempted to decipher the word "STAFF" but failed to recognize the last two letters. Despite that, she knew she was in the right place.
"This one!" she announced. July placed her thin hand on the doorknob and turned. Locked. No big deal. She crouched down slightly to look at the lock then took out the lockpick from her side pack. Before she began working, she gave a simple two word order at Kaleb. "Cover me!"

Kaleb smiled and nodded, "Consider your self covered!" Kaleb walked back down the hall, and closed the door that they came from, then with a mop he had found on the ground he wedged it in between the door and wall. That should do it..
Kaleb looked behind him self, seeing that his jeans have become completely stained with blood. He tried to feel for the wound on his back, finding it just in between his spine and shoulder blade. "Ohh, thats a nasty one." Kaleb opened his duffle bag, pulling out his lighter and pocket knife. He unfolded the blade and started to heat it up with his lighter. As the blade heated, he turned back to July watching her work on the lock. She can shoot, she looks like shes homeless and she knows how to pick a lock.. Just what kind of life does this girl live?
Kaleb suddenly let the flame die on the zippo, and folded his blade back into the knife. What the hell was that noise just now? Kaleb began to walk back down the hall towards July, then he heard the same noise again. What is that.. it sounds like a.. hiss? He jogged the last couple steps till he was back beside July, "Hey, I do not want to rush you, but there is defiantly something coming."

The lock was not a hard one to pick. In fact, it was relatively easy, just a simple lock on a door like that of the locked buildings she'd broken into back at home. It took a mere twenty seconds to pick the lock before the door opened quickly.
When July turned her head at the hissing sound, her already large eyes widened. She knew that sound. Somewhere nearby was one of the monsters with the freakishly long tongue like those back at the Pharmacy. They were fast and dangerous and she most definetely did not want the tongues of the creatures stabbing at her.
Failing to think about the dangers, July grabbed Kaleb by the arm and yanked him inside. Whether he was injured by her pulling, she couldn't tell, but she did know that she did see the licker coming at her and had she not closed the door after she went inside, she would be the one hurt by the licker. For now, the door blocked off all attacks from the creature.
The staff room was a little messy. The desk and most shelves looked as though they had been ransacked, but at least the first aid kit was left on one of the nearby shelves. It looked as if nobody was inside the room so it was pretty much safe for the moment.
"The cross kit's over there." July pointed at the first aid kit. A sound came from her side pack. She picked up a walkie talkie from her pack and replaced it with her lock pick. Without saying another word, she walked to the opposite side of the room with the walkie talkie up to her ear.

Who could she possibly be talking to on that radio? Dosent matter, ill ask her after I get patched up.
Kaleb walked over towards the medical kit, and lifted up a chair and sat him self down on it. He opened the medical kit on his lap, it appeared to have everything he would need, rubbing alcohol, a roll of gauze and medical tape.
He looked towards July, he had a feeling she knew what that hissing sound was coming from, and judging by how she yanked him in the room it seemed like it was also very dangerous. "Hey July, can you please come help me with this?" Kaleb lifted up his shirt and folded it up several times till it was small enough to be used as a rag. He dumped rubbing alcohol on the clean front of the shirt, and reached behind his back cleaning the surrounding area off. Once he felt it was enough, he poured out half the bottle of alcohol down his back onto the wound, a normal person would hesitate since it would be extremely painful, but Kaleb was not concerned in the least and showed no chance in his expression.
Damn, this wound is to deep it wont stop bleeding if I just wrap it up Kaleb brought out his pocket knife and lighter again, as he placed the blade over the flame he looked towards July, "Ok so, I am going to need you to place the blade flat against the cut, make sure you press hard and cover the whole wound. Once that is done just dump some of this alcohol on it then if you could, please wrap the gauze around my body to cover it up, Ok?"
The blade was red hot, he placed the blade on the table with the handle outwards for July to grab, he positioned him self facing away from her and waited.

July sighed and placed the walkie talkie on a shelf. When she went over to comply with the request, she raised an eyebrow after picking up the blade. She had no real knowledge of any medical procedures, but she knew how to tie bandages. However, what confused her was the thing with the blade. Many people in her second family got hurt, but never once did they need to use a blade to go against their wounds. They got injured by knives, but that was different than the request.
What a weirdo.
The instructions had to go through her head a few times so she could remember what to do exactly. She turned the blade so that the flat side was on top of the wound and pressed hard on the wound. Whether it was too hard or not, she didn't care. She dumped maybe a bit too much alcohol on it and wrapped the gauze around the wound and blade. With the deed done, she walked back over to her walkie talkie and started speaking into it and placing it to her ear when a response came.
"Yeah yeah. I'm back...The hell do you mean the 'corr-ection-al center'?...Thought you said to go to the cop station...Both?!...I'm stuck in the fire house...no I ain't find anything good...how the hell should I know?!"

"Thanks for the help, July." Kaleb smiled and stood up and walked over to his duffle bag. Opening it up and taking out a clean T shirt, as he put it on he looked towards July and listened to her conversation. Did she say the correctional facility? That's where dad is! Kaleb quickly zipped up his duffle bag and placed the knife and lighter back in his pockets.
Kaleb walked around the room, he figured he would Give July a moment to finish her conversation, he searched around for something he could use as a weapon. "Hmm, this should do." Kaleb picked up a fire axe from the ground and held it in his left hand as he continued to look around. So, she can pick locks, shoot guns, looks like she is homeless and she is talking to someone about finding items of interest.. Is she a thief? Kaleb looked back at July, I guess it does not matter what she is, if she can bring me to the correctional facility that's all I need.
"Hey July, sorry I was listening in to your conversation, but I heard you have to go to the correctional facility, and I have a truck hot wired and waiting out side. I need to go there also, perhaps we could go together? driving is safer then walking after all." Kaleb said with a smile waiting for a response.
