This room is completely bare. Aside from a ceiling fan and a overturned mahogany desk, there's nothing but trash and blood streaking the walls. From the looks of it, this room was probably one of the first rooms to fall to the infection and chaos. There is a painting hanging crooked on the wall furthest from the door, a metal vault being seen slightly ajar behind it. The treasure within the vault was probably the reason for the violence within. Looting was rampant, and there was a large scuffle that was apparent. There are a few scattered improvised instruments of death (paper cutter blades, table and chair legs etc...) which were strangely not covered in blood but rather, dust. There are two windows in the top right of the room, near the ceiling, overlooking the stairwell to the right of the room. One chair was actually pushed up against the wall in an apparant attempt to escape, answering the question why one of the windows was broken and blood stained. It's depressing, but if one was to look through the trash and other miscellaneous items.. They may find something worthwhile.

Alex balanced across the points along the floor which weren't covered in blood, the stuff was fresh but there weren't any bodies to acompany it; just leading to the conclusion they were off wandering Raccoon somewhere now. Ales didn't want to get the blood on her boots, that was all. It was sticky and made a annoying tearing sound each step you took, much like tar to that regard, only its smell clung desparately and was difficult to clean off after it dried up. After crossing the red skid mark, Alex went to work on lifting the turned over desk up right and picking up the near demolished PC unit and Monitor, placing them both back on the desk. She hit the power button to find there was no energy being sent to the tower, "F*ck!" Alex scowled and grabbed onto the side panel, tearing it off. She unplugged the hard drive, looking at it briefly. 12 Terrabytes of space, "There's more in this than just documents if the director warranted that much space... think I'll hold onto it,"' she commented and put the thin HDD in her left vest pocket.
Alex crossed the room, pointing, "Rusty, see what's left in the safe. Al, help me go through the guys bookcase. Got a grudge that this guy'd been hiding something, just like everyone else in this organization. We should make this search quick so we've got time in the labs to scope them out," she started on a centre row and started pulling books out, shaking them or feeling their weight before throwing them to the floor and continuing. Anything with a hollow or ulterior purpose, or perhaps it was something behind the rows of books. It was all typical aeronautics stuff, with an odd displacement of non-fiction UFO books which Alex raised an eyebrow at. Some of the books had been tagged, but it was just for particular pages or information.

Rusty had no idea what the difference was between B.O.W.s and undead, as they were both made from a virus made in a lab. When Alex killed the zombie and the gassy stuff came out of the wound, Rusty knew something was up with these particular zombies. Nevertheless, Rusty continued toward the Director's Office. He kept his eyes peeled for more zombies. Tyrants are probably B.O.W.s if Alex said we should be running from them. They sound powerful. Rusty thought this as Alex gave everyone orders. "No problem. I'll check it out for ya." Rusty said, as he headed toward the safe.
It was closed. Rusty hoped it was unlocked, and he pulled the handle. It beeped. A keypad was next to the handle. "Hmm..." Rusty pondered, as he searched nearby documents for a code. Then he tried the craziest thing. He entered his birthdate. He pulled the handle and heard a beeping noise. It didn't work. It was the Director's Office not his fathers, but it was worth a shot. Rusty shuffled through more papers and saw something that stood out. It was a code number. 11-29-95. He tried the combo. It worked and he opened the safe.
" Wow!" He exclaimed as he saw what was inside. Some neat, untouched-in-a-while papers, neatly stacked. They had info on every staff member and their research. Rusty immediately looked for Dr. Gradyshaw's file. He located it and looked through each paper, with interest.
His father had been doing experiments on different people. He couldn't find the right specimen. He then found out that his lab assistant, Gerry Rensan, was the perfect specimen to test the Tyrant virus on. His experiment was a success, but Gerry hadn't woken up from his sleep yet. He was put into a sort of sleep-like coma, and hadn't gotten up. That means that he's either here, or not. I sure hope not... Rusty thought to himself. He continued to read. Dr. Gradyshaw had gone to Europe to find a way to alter Gerry's brain to make him obey Dr. Gradyshaw's command. He still hadn't come back yet. The last entry was about a week before the outbreak occurred. Rusty figured if his dad had come back, or if Gerry had awakened, it would've been noted down.
"Alex, there's info on all the staff members in here, you wanna take a look at some files?" Rusty put the files on his dad inside of his backpack. He stood up and looked through the desk to see if there was something there. Then he realized something. That shadow in the room where he had hit his head... Could it have been Gerry? Rusty sure hoped not, and quickly leafed through the pages to see if there was anything else on Gerry, what he was made to do, anything. But Rusty found nothing.

Al walked in with the rest, letting his eyes settle on various items. Nothing suspicious. It was weird really, so much chaos outside and in here it was dead calm. It was too calm to be honest, and it seemed like the shadows would jump at them if they got too relaxed. He snapped back to reality when Alex mentioned helping go through the guys stuff, and he nodded, still having a bad feeling about this. He began walking down the aisles, pulling books at random and flipping through their contents. Nothing, some UFO based book, another book that had no relevance, another book on UFO designs, and the general lack of real interesting books kept up. Rusty calling out broke the trance he had gotten in to, and turned at the comment.
"I'll keep running through the books, if you want to check out the files. Not much is here though, beyond the aeronautics stuff."
He turned back to his work, pulling books out and checking their contents, still finding nothing of interest. Then he pulled a book out and opened it, and found a note in it, and read it over. Random parts specifications, more junk. He set the note aside, and kept going through what he could find, still not finding much in the way of real useful items.

Rusty decided to look through the bookshelves too. He went over to one that wasn't looked through yet, and ran his finger along the titles, looking for interesting things. One title caught his eye. It was called : Keys are for the Unskilled. He read the back and discovered it was about lockpicking. "Hmm..." Rusty put the book into his backpack. He'd always wanted to learn how to pick locks. It would be a useful skill to learn. Rusty went back to the overturned desk.
He looked at the drawers and tried to open them. They, too, were locked. Rusty looked for something he could use to break it open, but there wasn't anything but books and papers strewn about the office. He didn't have a screwdriver or bobby pin, so he also couldn't pick the lock. Rusty walked away from the desk. He was bothered by the fact that Gerry could still be in the building. He filed through the papers again. Nothing. He looked around for anything that could be used to break open the drawers. He couldn't find anything. Rusty then wondered. How would a book about lockpicking be in an aeronautics office? He opened the book. The first few chapters were all there, but toward the middle of the book some pages were cut out, about two chapters' worth. Only the outer words were legible. Inside of the hole, a key was hidden.
Rusty almost dropped the book in joy. He ran to the desk, key in hand. He inserted the key into the drawer lock and turned. The key wouldn't turn fully. It wasn't the right key! Rusty's joy faded quickly. He took the key out and put it back into the book. He put the book inside his backpack. He stood up and waited for Alex to finish looking around. Al looked bored running his finger along the books.
The orange glows outside were getting closer. Rusty forgot about the napalm throwers. He suddenly felt the lack of oxygen in the air. He wanted to leave, but he wanted to know where his dad was before he left. He wasn't going to give up. He wanted to ask his dad lots of questions.

(OoC: Sorry about being inactive, got caught up with Saints Row 2... that kinda thing pulls me out of my RP.)(
"Alex, there's info on all the staff members in here, you wanna take a look at some files?"
"I'm not interested in the employees, Rusty," Alex replied, sounding a little annoyed, "I'm interested in what they were pushing which at this point sounds no different from the same crap Umbrella was level with,"
Alex let the nimble tip of her finger land on the top of the final books spine and flick it off of the shelf, "Nothing..." she said, a little dissapointed. The office was now in shambles. With her anger in hand, she grabbed a hold of the shelf and pulled it to the floor crash landing on top of the pile of books. The wall showed nothing to hide, "Was the head of the organization the only person uninvolved in what was going on?" she blurted, crossing the room. Her Pro9 drawn, she pushed it at an angle against the desk lock Rusty had been trying to open and shot a round sending it into splinters and mashed up metal.
"I'm heading up to the labs," Alex commented as she headed for the exit of the Directors office, "We've probably only got an hour left, best bet is to just check out the names and labels on equipment and see whether anything catches our eyes," Alex stepped over the re-dead zombie and moved back out into the reception hall.
It was becoming dawn, white light could be seen penetrating a thick fog, "No, that's not fog," Alex said to herself, "The city's burning so hard that ash is pouring all over the place," she shrugged off the fact that the Pyro's could be right around the corner, and headed off down the West wing of the labs.

Rusty could tell Alex was annoyed by his question, but then she pushed a bookshelf down in apparent anger. He didn't know why she was angry, he hoped it wasn't because of his dumb question. She shot the lock open, and splinters flew everywhere. Rusty covered his eyes with one hand and went over to the now open lock.
There he found papers, but he couldn't read them, because Alex was walking away. He stuffed them into his backpack and followed her, keeping his distance, because he didn't know if the shadow was still by the stairwell or not. He stopped halfway to the stairwell and waited for Al, Rusty wasn't about to leave anyone behind, but not let anyone too far away either.
He was torn between two choices, and just stood there, stupidly, until he decided to read the papers while he waited for Al. He opened his backpack and looked at the now crumpled papers. He saw more employee names. He got bored and put them back, half-read. He ran after Alex.

Al had finished another row of books when the oxygen began to catch his attention. It was lacking, fire was getting closer, and that meant those flamethrower troops were getting closer. Sooner they got out, the better. So when Alex and Rusty were moving on, he moved to catch up. He wasn't finding anything of real use yet, so left the case and followed them both, moving fast to avoid getting left behind. He caught up and followed, checking anything of interest as they went.
The ash was making things difficult, considering it was more fog like in nature then an actual ash cloud, but it still worried him that it could contaminate the lungs. Something similar happened to plumbers in old systems, as he remembered, where disturbing the mortar that was falling apart would kick up in a dust that was dangerous to inhale. So he tore a small piece of cloth off the sleeve of his shirt and went about making a coverage of sorts.
"I don't think inhaling this stuff is a good idea, especially if its whats left of burning stuff. I think we could use a mouth coverings to at least filter out the big stuff."

Rusty listened to Al and put his right sleeve to his nose and mouth. He followed Alex to the room where he fell. He aimed at the shadow and shot at it. It moved quickly up the stairs, out of sight. It had to be Gerry. I'm not letting you out of this building, you're too big of a danger to everyone. I'll be sure to watch you burn with everything else in this building. There's been enough death and destruction caused by Umbrella and this lab. You can't go around killing people. Rusty started toward the stairs.
Rusty is now at the 1st- 2nd floor stairwell.

(OoC: I'm going to ask you guys to go ahead RP without me for a while, now that I'm caught up with video games ahead. Usually I'm a little selfish in this area and figure I'm going to get back into it but it's not the case this time, you guys do your own thing and just note that Alex is with you whenever you move areas and I'll note when I'm back in. Sorry again.)(
