An average-sized workshop which looks more like a car garage than anything. It seems that most of the "synthetics" that were being made were for oil and fuel for Jets and other types of military aeronautic devices. There's a large cockpit of a plane in the center of the room connected to a large amount of wires on either side; two huge computers are the source of those wires with four flat screens a piece sitting on top of large keyboards and military-grade computer modems. The floor is thick concrete mixed with what seems like chalk by the way it crumbles when pressure it applied- possibly oil dry. There are a mass of black boxes piled up around the room as well as cardboard boxes stacking oil drums within. Sheets of plastic are draped over unidentified objects about the room and unused, abused, and abandoned tools lie strewn about the room.

"Wow! It looks like a mechanic's workshop in here! I thought they did medical stuff in here. . . Looks pretty barren of any life though. What do you guys say we look around for anything unusual?" Rusty received the okay from his companions by nods of heads, and the three went searching cautiously for anything unusual. "Hey, I think something leaked from one of these barrels. I stepped in it. . . It's pretty sticky. . ." Rusty bent and sniffed. "Hey," he started, pausing briefly, "I think it's blood!" He dipped a finger in the puddle of dark liquid and brought his reddened fingertip to his face. "Yep. It's blood all right. Something's happened here." He turned and saw movement from the corner of his eye, and readied his handgun. He scanned the room, keeping his aim steady. Nothing moved. He relaxed, and lowered his gun. Realizing he was letting his guard down, he immediately gripped his gun firmly and held it so he could readily aim and fire if needed. "What a weird looking tool!" Rusty bent and picked up a jagged-edged metal stick from the ground. "What's this used for?" He gave it to Al, who shrugged. Rusty shrugged in response and left Al with the stick, so he could do whatever with it. "Here's an office. I'll check it and see if there's anyone in there." Rusty paced himself from walking too quickly from the others. He opened the door and peered in. Empty, besides a desk with a computer and table lamp. He shut the door and turned to the others. "Nothing too good in there." He walked around the room, kicking half-heartedly at the strewn tools. He was about to kick a took when he heard loud crashing sounds. Someone had knocked a huge bucket of tools on the floor. Alex said something about him scaring her or something. "I didn't do it!" he said, his face still showing fright from the sudden noise. He peered at where the tools landed, trying to see if he could find any reason why it would fall of it's own accord. It was deathly quiet. He thought he might've heard the others murmuring to one another, but he didn't hear any of it. He looked behind him, checking for anything that might try to sneak up on him, and turned back to facing his companions. "Hey, where'd you guys go?" He couldn't see them. He stepped forward and heard a scuttling noise. . . He knew now why he couldn't see the others: they were hiding. As he turned around, he found himself face to chest to a giant hulking beast.
Gerry had somehow found himself in the synthetics lab, long ago. Some people had come here, trying to hide from the outside chaos, but he killed them. They were invading his personal space. He dumped their bodies in some cardboard boxes and put the makeshift coffins in a corner of the workshop. That was a while ago. Maybe days, maybe weeks, he had no clue. He was happy in his solitude, but knew he would leave it soon, because he'd been having a gut feeling that something would soon happen to his home. Gerry held some past memories, but any memories he had were bad ones. He'd been tested on, despite being told he had impunity from such experimentation. Gerry noticed that he'd sheathed his blades from his forearms. That stupid scientist man didn't know he had metal rods in both arms from that freak accident when he was human. Somehow he was able to, now that he was a freak, sheath them and use them to cut up his victims. He heard movement from outside the lab. He hid, accidentally knocking a 'coffin' over, spilling the bloody contents onto the floor. He quickly covered the body parts with another box he saw nearby, and went into the office, hiding himself behind the door. He heard some human talk. Nothing too comprehendible. He stayed in place for several minutes, keeping his breathing steady and quiet. The doorknob began to turn, and he slowly sheathed his blades, ready to slice and dice whatever that was entering. The door opened slightly, and he saw the face of a human. It scarcely observed the room, pulling it's head out after a couple seconds. Gerry didn't know quite how many there was of the humans, but he was able to process that being stealthy couldn't hurt. HE stopped the door from closing completely as the human left, and slipped out. He was hulking and brutish, but he somehow managed to slide himself under a table nearby the human who'd poked his stupid face in. He thought he saw another human as he was making his way to the table, but wasn't too sure. He bumped his head on the table bottom and a big toolbox fell to the floor. He quietly slipped from under the table, and went around the back of it to be behind the human. He was tall, but not nearly as tall as Gerry. He had rusty colored hair, and was holding a weapon. He was a threat. Gerry raised an arm, and the human turned, ducking Gerry's forceful swing at his head. Something hit Gerry in the head, he didn't know if it was a bullet or blunt object, but he turned and swung wildly in a blind rage and rushed to the exit. As he made it out, not without another few wounds, he barreled his way to the first floor, where he rested.
