Bishop was somewhat out of breathe. He wasn't used to this up close and personal crap. He had been shot down one time sure, and he had to get out and fight with an MP-5 and 4 other guys. But this wasn't anything close, this was to close to all of it. Hell at this day in age, he was bassically a front line soldier.
I Shoulda stayed back at Pearl Harbor, rather fight on a defense line then fight out here. Bishop said fairly quietly to himself.
With his M-16 still down, he moved to the front, as he was still in first squad.... he thought.... he wasn't too sure at the moment, but its not like he was the most valuable of people at the moment. What good is a pilot without a bird anyway.
Where are we goin now ya figure? Bishop said loud enough for anyone to hear who could answer it.

"Front and center!" A voice yelled throughout the tunnel. A sturdy and scowling man walked in front of the assembled first squad and stood in front of them. He was Sergeant Middleton. Probably the worst person to be stuck under the command of in the TFP. The meanest son of a bi*ch ever engineered from the body parts of dead soldiers in the world. Or at least, thats what some people said, knowing that someone as bad as him couldnt have been born from a normal woman or raised by a normal family.
"Move out!" He yelled simply. There was no need to mince words. Everyone knew they were going foreward to clear out the shopping area of the subway. It was one of the main reasons they were here.
First squad moved, as did the rest, the several yards through the mouth of the tunnel and into the shopping area. The darkness was alive with undead activity. And as if it was a lookout, a single moan sounded. After it, more and more as the zombies started to converge on the soldiers who were forming a line to start cleanup procedures.

OOC: For the record, I thought I was First Squad Leader Gunny? Don't worry, I'll work around it.
IC:
Sergeant May couldn't believe what he was hearing. Who the hell did this guy think he was? GI Joe? Frustrated and confused, Derek went over to Middleton to let his opinion be voiced.
"Hey, who in the hell do you think you are?" Derek asked.
"Listen soldier, I'm in command here, so I suggest you and your rifle get back in formation"
Now Derek was really getting ****ed off. "Get back in formation? First of all, I also happen to be a Sergent, so I don't have to take orders from you. Second, Command gave First Squad to me, and Third Squad to you, so I suggest you take your "bad-ass" and get the F*** out of my squad"
Without wasting a second, Middleton got all in Derek's face, almost begging him to strike. Before Derek could respond, however, a rather loud moan followed by footsteps was heard throughout the darkness. Not even thinking, both men and the other soldiers all lined up in a defensive stance. No reason going through hoardes of undead when you can pick them off from a distance.
"Ready, Sniper" Derek ordered, much to the dismay of Middleton. Despite this, Lovecraft readied his M21 with night vision, and prepared to fire.
"Ready sir" Lovecraft replied, and Derek put his left arm up, signaling everyone to stand by.
"On my signal, everyone open fire. Do not open fire until my arm comes down, understand?"
Everyone gave their response: "Yes sir" was the collective response.
"Rich, fire till empty, everyone else stand by" Derek ordered. Rich then proceeded to take out the entire front line of zombies, who were begining to edge ever so closer.
He fired until his clip was empty, and then he spoke up.
"Empty" He told May, and May then lowered his left arm, signaling the group to open fire.
OOC: Mikey, go ahead and advance this a little more. I just wanted to address the problem of command here.

OOC: Actually, the whole purpose of this was to advance the storyline a bit for the several days we waited for you... We advanced the plot a bit so that we're finally in the shopping areas. First and fourth squad are heading left and 2nd and 3rd squad are heading right. Your back in charge of first squad and unofficially 4th squad May. Alvarez will be supervising both squads but mostly be hanging back and following your orders. Your calling the shots again for first squads and 4th squads RP as you clear towards the left side and make your way towards Colonel Jones team. Squires, Ramano, and Middleton are heading right with 2nd and 3rd squad. Squires barks outCut the s**t operators. 1st and 4th squad, strike out the left corridor, 2nd and 3rd we'll strike out the right corridor towards the food court. Apparently, theres no option to go forward, so we'll cut around, clear as many zombies as we can as we make our way around to the colonels position. Alvarez, we split here, you go with 1st and 4th.
Alvarez nods and turns to head off with 1st and 4th squad's hooking around the left side. 2nd and 3rd squad struck out right, heading fast and hard following Ramano's lead as they hooked around towards the food court, moving to clear it out. They head in a double-echelon column, running past zombies that they had missed, and headed towards the opening leading into the food court. The zombies followed them slowly, their moans seeming to be protests as the fleshies teased them and ran right past them rather then staying where they can get at them. 2nd and 3rd squads guns were blazing and shredding the zombies ahead of them and to their side as they moved towards the food court. The team stopped at the opening leading from the food court and the corridor leading towards the rear entrance, the scattered and thin-survivor zombies they'd left behind lumbered towards them slowly behind while some of the zombies in the food court became aware of them and started lumbering towards them from the front as well. Ramano barks out as he obliterates a trio of zombies with his jackhammer shotgunOPEN FIRE! HOLD POSITION, LINE ABREAST, TWO ECHELONS FACING FRONT AND REAR! WHEN WE'VE CLEARED OUT ALL THE ZOMBIES WE CAN, BREAK INTO PAIRS AND CLEAR OUT THE RESTUARANTS BACKROOMSSquires nearly barked out into his headset, Ramano's commanding-tone infectious, but restrains himself and says politely and matter-of-factly into his radio as he radios Colonel JonesMe and my team are in the shopping areas, Colonel Jones. We're engaging cleaning up operations. Do you want to come to us or do you want us to come to you after we clear out the rear entrance? The men stopped for a moment in awe of how expensive and elaborate the shopping area of the subway was, now that they'd halted and had a chance to take it all in. Then they did as they were told and opened fire even as they thought about it more..... S**t, a LOT of money had gone into this underground mall... once the zombies were thinned out enough, Ramano "pats" Bishop on the back motioning for him to follow him as he sprinted into the food court towards a large Mcdonalds food station, the pat actually seeming like a shove. It seems that Ramano had picked out the "greenest" of them to follow him, since he felt obligated to make sure personally that the former-pilot stayed alive. OOC: Bishop, you can post from here about getting across the food court and into the Mcdonalds thing, and starting to clear it. The resturaunts all have backrooms which lead to a small kitchen, and the small kitchen leads to an employees only section of the mall. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c9/Dalian_large_Shopping_Mall_2005.jpgupload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4b/Canal-Walk-Food-Court.jpg

OOC: O.K, lets get posting again. First and 4th squad will start making their ways towards Colonel Jones' position, 2nd and 3rd will secure a beachhead for further excursions into the shopping areas. GET TO WORK!
Ramano stopped when he got to the front of the Mcdonald's and stops, his headset buzzing in his ear
Master sergeant Ramano, command just called Bishop back. They want him to mount up and get back to work now that more helicopters are available from the reinforcements we've received.
Ramano growls
Fine.
That meant that now he had to stop HIS fun and stop clearing out that building to drag Bishop's a** out of there.
Come on rotor-jockey, we've got to get you topside.
Ramano then reloaded his Pancor Jackhammer and sprinted away making his way towards the exit, blasting his way through several zombies who had survived long enough to face his wrath. Another pair of men follow Bishop and Ramano close behind, helping Ramano escort Bishop above ground

After the rather easy disposal of a couple of low-threat infected forms, The combined forms of First and Fourth Squad continued on to arive at Colonel Jones coordinates. Derek only used up 1 of his 6 magazines, while switching over to his M9 after his clip ran out, wanting to preserve his primary ammunition for bigger threats. Derek glanced down at his Sniper Fixed Blade Combat Knife, that he got just before leaving. It was still shining, yet to be used. Derek hoped that he would not get the chance to ruin such a beautiful knife on such disgusting creatures.
Derek halted both squads, as the darkness was making it increasingly difficult to manuever without night vision, and Derek didn't want his squads effectivness to drop because of some bulky head gear. The flashlights were almost useless, considering the vastness of the area.
"Break out some flares, Alvarez" Derek ordered, with Alvarez rushing forward and throwing some flares a considerable distance. The whole area suddenly lit up a little bit, making it easier to see. "Keep moving" Derek ordered again, with everyone following close.
A sudden yelp caused both squads to halt, however. The sound apparently surrounding them. "How far away are we from the Colonel?" Derek asked.
"About 500 yards, sir" Alvarez answered back. Derek nodded, and signaled for them to continue forward. The sounds of something unnatural continued to make its prescene felt, but the squads pressed on. Derek kept his M16 close, and focused on a small man hole about 15 feet ahead. His suspicions correct, the lid popped open, and a lively chimera appeared, followed by small pack. Not having to give orders, the squads opened fire, killing the first two. One of them advanced towards Derek. Derek went to fire his M16, but in the worse possible moment, it jammed.
"Son of a B!tch!" Derek yelled, while breaking left to clear him from the advancing chimera. Derek whiped hout his M9 and opened up on the supposed "head" of the creature. After venting his entire clip, the creature fell. However, it seemed that with every creature killed, two more took its place from the manhole.
"Gates, grenade that hole, NOW!" Derek screamed. Gates, without hesitation, manuevered through the remaining chimeras and tossed a frag in. A few seconds later, the grenade exploded, and the shreik of the creatures below brought a grin to Derek's face. However, there were still a load of chimeras left, and with the squad squandering on ammunition, Derek made a judgement call.
"We're only about 300 yards away now, everyone, RUN! Follow me!"
Every member sprinted along with Derek, the Chimeras following close behind. Derek fell back to take rear, dropping a couple flashes to disoreint the creatures. None of the soldiers died yet, thank God, but the creatures were venturing ever so nearer.
However, as if all of their prayers have been answered, the sight of a command post up ahead caught their gaze. Finally, they have arrived at Colonel Jones position, but brought some "uninvited guests" with them.

Morse heard the order that he was scheduled to get back up in the air. He nearly collapsed when he heard the news, it was the best he'd heard in years since he'd been deployed to assist the ground teams.
Looks like doc's gettin back up on the bird Morse commented about himself.
He lifted the M-16 in his hand and followed directly behind Ramano. He was fast on his feet, problem was he couldn't shoot a rifle worth a s***, atleast not with a heavy weapon like this. He fired at a single zombie in his way. He fired at least 9 round trying to take it down and most of them landed at or around the things chest. The other men behind him fired several times as well, difference was they actually took down there targets with about 3 bullets.
Morse followed Romano back as they turned around to the subway tunnels. Bursts of rounds here and there sounded as they would take down a zombie that was in there way. Between short jogging and sprinting they moved into a subway tunnel and began moving down the tracks. It was dark, and fairly cold inside the tunnel itself. There weren't alot of zombies in the tunnel, but there were a few, and each one was torn apart by fire from the men running through. Morse didn't fire at any of them, he knew it would just slow him down and he would miss.
They finally arived after about 10 minutes of moving trough this tunnel at a terminal listed "TERMINAL C". It was what they were looking for, and they moved over the track and jumped up onto the terminal. There were several zombies in suits and casual cloths standing here. They were quickly shreaded as the men were now standing on the terminal. They moved up a powerless escalater, shooting every zombie in there way.
They were now just below the surface access. They jumped the turnstyles and proceeded towards the final escalator. They charged up them, like a football players racing towards the 10 yard line. There was light and you could feel the air from outside comming hit them. And after a short climb up this escalator they were outside looking out at a street.
What now Morse asked now that they were topside.

Samuel felt like a tag along the whole way. Like he was a robot attached to the squad that he knew nothing about, led by this Derek character. He would run in tune with them, fire his S.A.W., and yell out the proper things when they needed to be yelled out. The run seemed to take forever. An endless leap frog manuver that he repeated like a man working in a factory, doing the same job over and over. He would run for about ten feet, stop, turn, and aquire a target to send 15 to 20 rounds at.
By the time they reached Jone's position, he was out of ammo and the baddies were closing. "Reloading!" He yelled out, ejecting the drum from his Ultimax and cramming a fresh one into the mag well. He jerked the bolt back so hard he was worried that it might break off, and was releived when it fired normally. He knew what they were dealing with, and had no qualms with spraying and praying his way to a number of confirmed kills. Praying the key word of the phrase, as he couldnt be sure how many of the 5.56x45mm rounds it would take to put one of these things down. He was sure he would find out though.

OOC: Waiting on Jonesy, Mikey and Derek. Bug him for me.
TO BISHOP AND YATES
The helicopters landed and offloaded a rather large team, numbering some 20+ men plus a woman. Ramano placed his hand on Bishop's back and shoved him forward, pretty much dragging him the whole way from the edge of the Subway exit to the CH-53E in the blink of an eye and then shoving him inside. Then Ramano sprinted back towards the group, his 3 men following the team down with him. --------------------- Yates
FRIENDLIES COMING DOWN!
The Vitharr pointman's response echoed down the stairwell towards the edgy nationalguardsmen, who immediately echoed his echoes, an N.C.O barking out for them to stand down and let them over the barricades. The platoon-sized unit made their way through the national guard barricade holding down Objective Styx and allowed them access to the subway tunnel, not a zombie body in sight.
They've all been burned and liquidated. Standard T.F.P protocol. We'll have to head down further to the shopping areas to get some of the "good stuff", they ran into some mutated hunters and lickers up ahead. They didn't dispose of the bodies, they had to keep moving, as the report said.
Payne pointed ahead towards a sideways corridor to the subway terminal, obviously an employees only-maintenance corridor. The team kept moving and made their way over the subway tracks, an idle subway car visible a ways down through the T.F.P helmets pull down night vision goggles. The gunfire ahead was ferocious and didn't seem to stop, although it had grown distant. The make-shift platoon started down through the maintenance corridor, within a few moments getting to the middle of it where the two dead lickers and pack of mutated hunters finally came into view. To the rear, Ramano and his 3 men were(the 4 of them had passed through earlier and were being very cautious, and very alert as they scanned, seeming to expect something and be more silent then usual) lagging behind about 5 meters. Payne started to turn around and question Eric Squires men who had latched onto them to return to their unit, but then a screech was heard and a Licker burst from the shadows. The 4 men seemed to have expected it, and gunfire erupted in the blink of an eye. The licker was shredded and obliterated by the 4 men's combined firepower, not least of which because of Ramano's point-blank range(Not point blank as in pressed against the Licker, but the actual definition of point blank)shotgun fire.
We missed one of the lickers when we passed through here before... got him now. Should be clear if nothing has moved in here.
Ramano's report was quick, crisp, and gruff. Sounds from the tunnel said that things had been moving towards them, but the patrols combing the tunnels had dealt with them. ----------------------- Bishop
The CH-53E pilot looked over his shoulder, verified that Bishop was on board, and then the helicopter started to lift off again and fly towards the docks, the side gunner turning and yelling out to him
The rest of the T.F.P just arrived at the docks! we got your helicopter back, and its being out-fitted for gunship duties as we speak! We're flying there, direct, and offloading you! Then we're going to continue our air-lifting duties!
The helicopter seemed to be going full speed to get to the amphibious assault dock that was docked in Raccoon cities harbor now.

Morse leaned back awaiting for the chopper to land. He was under the impression the his chopper already met atleast somewhat of a gunship specification. But then he thought that they probably downgraded it when the air support seemed to drop off to nothing.
Its nice to know that the powers that be in the TFP are finally giving back the goo birdies their wings Morse yelle upto the pilot
It wouldnt be much longer until they were there, he'd been over this city before and he knew how close it was to the docks from there
ooc: are we switchin to river side propert, or are we just gonna finish this chopper grab in here?

Sasquatch, Watson, Middle ton, regroup and get together at Colonel Jones' position. You are going to make our way through the shopping areas, unfortunately again, and get to the area we entered from. Sergeant May, take the rest of the team and clear this area out. I want these buildings swept and mopped up! Double time it!
Squires finished relaying his orders and then got back into the fight

A loud "Yes sir!" was let out by Samuel, and he heard it repeated by two other men, presumably Watson and Middleton. Samuel ejected the drum from his Ultimax and fished for a new one. He didnt want to have to run through enemy territory to find out that he had only had 12 rounds in his weapon instead of 20. When he was sure he was ready to go, he yelled out his status. One more did, who he was sure was Watson, and then heard Middleton give the order for them to move. The gunfire died down in order to give them a way through, and once they were cleared it started right back up again.
The monsters, ones Samuel had never seen before, were quite thinned from the massive cloud of lead that had moved from the soldiers down range to them, but the several that were left seemed to abandon the large crowd and go after the three lone men in hopes of finding an easier meal. They were sorely mistaken.
The combined fire of the heavy stream of 5.56 rounds, small bursts of 7.62 rounds, and large burps of double ought buckshot were more than enough to make the monsters think twice about their attack, But, by the time they were thinking of retreating, they were too late to escape. The fire from the three men's weapons put the creatures down where they stood, leaving the way clear for them to make their way to the entrance of the shopping area.
A short time later, the three of them were making their way to the entrance, having only run into the opposition of several zombies here or there. They stopped and waited for further orders after what could be called a cakewalk, wathcing all sides and weary of the sneaky beasts trying to catch them from a blind spot.
