Perhaps the coolest way to experience Raccoon City, the monorail station is a separate height level of public transport making it even more convenient for the general population of the city to get around quickly. Monorail cars are also small and easy to commandeer. Just note any other cars stopped along the rail; take special note if it’s full of zombies.

"Deeeear diary. Ze survivors back at ze Clocktower had found my hide away, and I had to abandon it for ze time being. It vasnt exactly clear what zeir real intentions vere, but zit was somezing to do with zat mutant... Tanya, no! Put zat down!... It clear zat subject 004 is dead by zis point. His shpleen is on ze floor, and hes not moving the slightest. Clearly, the infection hasnt taken over, but contact wasnt made to begin wis. I still think zat maybe an army would be a silly idea, but I digress, his will must be carried on!" The German clicked off the recording button on his tape recorder, and than placed it into his leather jacket pocket. Standing up, he walked over to Sam, and kicked her with the tip of his boot, hearing her scream out loudly. "I told you to be a good girl vile daddy was vworking!"
Pulling out an older style revolver, the German loaded in a single bullet, and then aimed it at Tanya head, as she still lay on the floor moaning in obvious pain. It wasnt clear that she was scared, but the German didnt seem to care either way. The click of the hammer went back on the gun, and the man closed on eye, holding the aim firm on the head of the girl laying on the floor. "It zink it is time... What do zyou sink?"

" I think you're a crazy old fella," a young redhead mentioned aloud.
She'd had her side arm trained on the man as she stood firmly on the platform behind him. Nothing could ever be easy. The plan was to come into the city to bring her survivor friend home, use the monorails to get through quicker without undead jerk off's trying to stop her..and eat her, then here she was, stumbling across some German guy trying to murder some strange lady she didn't know.
"I'm not lookin' for any trouble, just trying to take the rail across the city, if ya don't mind" she said, slightly intimidated.
The young girl's lips curled into a frown and her arms threatened to tremble. If that wasn't bad enough, her knees were just about ready to buckle under her weight. This old guy was creepy, afterall.

Quickly turning his attention, but not keeping the gun aimed around from the little girl laying on the ground, the German man fired the gun. The .44 bullet exploded the head of the girl, as pieces of rotting flesh strew onto the cement. Quickly jumping back a little, the man dropped the pistol into his holster, and looked at the mess, shaking his head back at the red headed survivor that stood before him now, obviously a little spooked by the gunshot herself. "Damn! You shtartled me! Now look, look at zis mess! Ugh, anusser pretty vone put to waste, anusser failure!"
The man lifted up the body of the little girl, turning her over to face the roof of the terminal, and now you can see that she had already turned into an infected long ago. The skin was starting to decay, it wouldve happened weeks ago. The sickness of the German man was evident, but now he walked toward the red head, speaking out in a more friendly tone. "You shouldnt be out here all alone, little girl. But your just in time, I vuss about to take ze monorail to ze next station..." The German spoke out in a very mysterious tone, but it seemed almost harmless at the same time, however still creepy none the less.

Clarissa squinted her eyes at him, dropping her side arm into her holster. She kept her hand on it, however, just incase he tried anything funny. Face scrunched into confusion, she'd carefully moved around him, toward the monorail cart. There was only one for each station and she needed to take it now. No point going all the damn way down and all the damn way across town.
"Uhh, I guess we have to share then...but don't try anything crazy. My care---my brother is B.S.A.A." she suddenly grimaced at the stupid, empty, threat. How the hell would he even know where she was and if she was murdered? He didn't even know she ran off while he was away.
"Ah damn..." she muttered to herself. Glancing up at him she practically hopped into the opened doors and the first thing she'd noticed was how incredibly bloody the walls of this cart were. She could only imagine the others. There were a few corpses lying face down on the floor, some sitting up in their seats and one of the windows was completely shattered into tiny pieces with chunks of flesh stuck onto the sides and old blood, indicating someone fell out or was thrown out.
"Well, this is spiffy."

"Is like a red carpet velcome for ze boas of us! Oh joy!" The tone had been that of a kid in a candy shop, which would more than likely confuse the red head even more. But the German had his own way, his own personality, that he could drop for anybody. If the little girl wanted to ride with him, he would be completely fine with that. He had no intentions of hurting her, no matter how much he would enjoy it. Sitting down onto the drivers seat, he pulled a few levers, pushed a few buttons, and then it was clear that the power mustve been disconnected due to the storm last night.
Getting up from his seat, the German looked at the girl, and then spoke up, but not directly to her. "Somebody keeps shteeling the power from us! If I catch him, hes going to be sorry..." Lifting up a panel in the center of the car, the man slide it open, and then looked down inside with his little LED light. The hole was too small for him to fit down into and reconnect the power, and it was than he turned back to the little girl, and spoke. "Take zees wichyuoo..." He held out the small light, almost as if to order the girl to go fix the problem. It wasnt like she was doing for him only, it was a mutual gain situation in the long run.

Clarissa had already figured she'd be the one to handle this as soon as she laid eyes on the small vent the German man eyed. As if on cue, he'd turned to her and handed her a small flashlight. Groaning she'd removed her hoodie and set it aside before clicking the flashlight on and crawling inside. It was pretty snug and hot inside the small crawl space but she managed. She'd have to crawl her way to the last cart and see just what the hell the problem was.
Moving on her elbows and knees, she'd continued moving onward, pushing through old cobwebs and shuddering at the idea of finding a spider in her hair when this was over. After some time, she'd came across two vents indicating she'd passed two carts so far, they were in the fourth, currently...so she'd be in the caboose soon. Didn't help though that she could make out the faint sounds of undead shuffling in those locked away carts. This lead her to wonder what to expect when she'd reconnected the power.
Another two or three minutes and she had been sneezing from all the mold etched onto the small, cramped walls. That's when she'd came across the final vent. Sticking her fingers through the meshing, she'd pushed on it and heard a click as it removed with relative ease.
Before long, she'd been pulling herself up through the crawlspace and into the arms of a rotting man in business wear. Shrieking, Clarissa shoved her forearms into it's neck, keeping it's maw at bay.
"Sonuva b*tch!" she yelped, eyes wide as she'd managed to shove it off. She'd glanced side ways at the sparking plugs that lied on the floor. If she had the time to wonder, she'd be wondering just who the hell took out those spark plugs in the middle of a friggin' zombie apaocalypse. Whoever it was, she hoped they were dead.
By now, the corpse got back up and lunged at her. She'd jumped aside and unholstered her weapon. From the German's perspective, there were a total of three shots then five or six minutes of silence. Ultimately, the lights on the control panels and inside the carts were lit up brightly. The sounds of unlocking were also present, meaning that the zombies were gonna be catching upto their meal in no time.

Before the little girl had gotten too far down into the subway car, the German man ran back to the controls, and turned off everything he had previously switched on. If he didnt do this, the girl wouldve been shocked to death, or if not, the train wouldve gotten moving instantly, thus crushing her under it. Either one was a bad situation, and he wasnt much of a cruel man. At least not to those willing to help, or who didnt deserve the things that came to them.
After the gunshots, his eyes drew to the windows, and not a few minutes later, the infected were wall on their way. Moving back to the hatch, the man peeked down below, and than called out to the little girl. "Zere coming to get chu, Barbara!" But without waiting for a response, the German stood just outside of the exit, and aimed his revolver toward the small crowd of undead that was building up. Five bullets remain in his gun, seven zombies to kill, but he wasnt paying attention to his gun to know this. Firing into the crowd, he scored two headshots, but the others hadnt been so lucky. They were all down on the ground, but one of them got back up and began moving at full speed toward the car. Pulling the trigger, he heard a click, and than tossed the gun back inside onto the bench. "Wissout bullets ill have to resort to shtabbing!"

A lick of hair had poked up from the crawlspace and some grunting noises later, Clarissa had pulled herself back up through the shaft. This way, she'd bypassed every single undead well, until now. Getting back on her feet, she'd seen the old German guy shooting off into the crowd until his gun clicked empty.
She'd grasped onto her own weapon and quickly drew it, taking three shots, nailing one in the face, another in the neck and another in the jaw. Three were dead, four were still coming after the duo. By now the roaring of engines had sounded and the monorail began to move forward, jerking violently and sending the corpses shambling back onto the ground. Clarissa and the German both grasped onto the dangling straps above to keep their balance.
"This is gonna be hard to stand and shoot, I'm sitting down," the redhead said, pushing herself down in the nearby seat and fixing her aim on one of the undead.

"Dont worry aboutsit, zeyre too slow. Ze only vones would be on ze car ahead of us, since you disconnected ze third." While using the same handle to stay balanced as the little girl before, the German made his way onto the second car, only to find one single infected barely keeping myself up on two legs. It had been moving very, very slowly, and didnt cause any threat. That was unless the man went closer, recklessly. Moving back into the first car, the man looked at the little girl, and than spoke out in a friendly voice. "Shplain is my name, dont chu vare it out! I am, or rasser, vas, a scientist. Also, a doctor. Also, a surgeon. Shplain vas very popular, at least to some. Rasser than shaving lives, I made a point to learn from the dead vuns."
As the infected walked onto the first car, the little girl has moved her aim toward it, ready to take a headshot. But Shplain jumped up onto the seat and grabbed the belt that hung down for the other passengers. Jumping past the zombie, onto the other seat, he tired it around its neck, and than pulled on the other side. The infected was now suspended into the air, its arms flailing around. There was no way it was going to pass out from lack of oxygen, it was already dead. So it would hang there, just wishing to feast upon them. Lifting open his coat, Shplain pulled out a bonesaw, and began hacking away at the arms of the undead corpse. In a matter of seconds, both its limbs were on the ground, and Shplain looked back to little girl for a second before taunting the body. "Hey zhombie, got ze time? Haha, doubt it!"

Clarissa squinted an eye at the odd old man but couldn't help but like him. He were energetic and eccentric! Like her! When he hacked off their limbs, however, she'd squinted both eyes this time and suddenly felt any connection she had, lost. That was just creepy.
"Was that necessary?" she asked while shooting at one of the floored, undead. Thankfully, they were so off balance that while the monorail went along, they couldn't get up at all. They'd wriggled and tried to push themselves up but just couldn't get onto their feet.
"I don't then we eve hafta waste bullets on them, just smash their heads in. They're all rotting and squishy and soft now, anyway," she told Shplain before adding, "And my name's Clarissa, by the way," she finished.

"Clarissa, Clarissa.." But before he could let her really think before answering, Shplain moved into the second car again. This time, his blade had been out, and he jumped on top of the closest zombie. From the back of it neck, he saw off the head. The third and final infected, however, suffered the worst. Shplain held it down with his right foot, and than pulled back on his hair, hearing the scalp start to tear. Using the blade, he drove it into the zombies neck, and then twist until the head was severed under the pressure and the sharp edge. Tossing it under a seat, the German man stood back up, wiping the blood from his gloves. "It rubs off you and shticks on me! Oh, it sticks..."
From the middle rack on the first cart, he lived up his shotgun, gripping onto it with both hands now, not really caring about the blood getting it dirty. "Have no fear, ze doctor eez here. I will not hurt chyou, im nothing but a scientist. To learn more from zees creatures..." This was the truth. As demonic as he may sound, and seem obviously, Shplain could be trusted. He had no intentions of hurting survivors. He would even help them so long as it was mutual gain.

Clarissa followed the doctor to the second cart and watched him pretty much screw with the zombies. Needless to say, it was pretty funny. Some of the infected left behind in the other cart was easily shut out from the sliding doors. To ensure this, she stood back and started kicking at the motion sensor on side panels. Before long, the sensor for that one had sparked and began to click, the door would have to be forced open and there was no way a zombie would ifgure out how to pry it apart.
"Well, I guess it's safe from here....damn, it's taking longer than I thought to reach the damn otherside of the city..." she grumbled.
Looking at the German she smiled. "So howcome you're in Raccoon City still?" she asked.

"Vare else am I going to find my little babiesh? Raccoon City has the highest population of infected, especially the ones that have been around for months now. I am as I say I am, a scientist. Nothing more, nothing else. Im hoping to stay here in the city and learn from these undead. Theyre flaws, theyre strengths. All need to calculated, researched. Mine is just all performed on the field, not in some underground lab like you see in the movies. I have one at the clock tower, one in the forest, oh, the list goes on." Shplain looked at Clarissa, who seemed to be very interested in him, however, she still maybe failed to realize how messed up in the head he was. Or maybe she was fully aware of it, and just didnt want to be rude, or make him angry. It was a mystery, one that didnt matter.
Just them, there was a bump. Then another. When Splain had turned to see the window, the train had been hitting infected that were stumbling along the tracks. It didnt slow it down any, but the bodies were being nearly exploded into pieces, and then sliding against the windows. The German watched the window like a Tv, commentating on it with his own sick humor that the girl would come to either adjust to, or try and talk him down about it. "Ohhh, look, now I can fit them into a gumball machine and buy them for a quarter... But now to find a quarter. Do you have a quarter?!"

Clarissa patted herself down to humor him, ironically, she'd found fifty cents in her pocket. Pulling the two quarters out, she'd squinted a bit before errupting in laughter.
"Well I guess we both can get one, now," she joked before looking back out at the gore slotting up against the window. It was pretty intense, but she'd seen worse. Afterall...she'd seen her father catch fire and burn up...
Grimacing and feeling her eyes sting, she'd turned away before walking towards the seat near the door. Sitting down, she'd placed her hands in her lap and sighed.
"Well, do ya know where this line is taking us, specifically? Not a citizen of Raccoon, so I'm pretty lost here," she explained.
