Taking one of the quarter from the girls hand, Shplain then salute her, and put it into his pocket. This was the first time in so many years that he found anybody willing to go along with his sadistic sense of humor. As Clarissa spoke out, asking where they were going exactly, he didnt know what to say. Only the truth was more appropriate, even if it wasnt what she wanted to hear. "Well, really, im just hear to see the sights of the city. But I guess you could say im testing something. This takes me farther away from the clock tower, further away from my previous haven. I need to get far enough away from it to test my work in a more different field."
Shplain wasnt quite sure if Clarissa follow him or not, maybe it was all just mumbo jumbo to her, or maybe she was interested by it. Regardless, she couldnt possibly aid him in this test. Not unless she was willing to put her own life on the line, become a messenger for the dead, so to speak. That time will come in the future, for now, he had to focus on the city lights. It was morning now, or at least the sun was rising up. But rainfall continues, and it was too overcast to see how bright it was. This made the whole ride a bit dissapointing, but it was needed anyways. To calm him down, take a load off, now that it was safe up here. "Why? Was there somewhere you needed to be? We could go there! Somewhere safe! Oh please, tell me where it is! I must know, must..."

When Shplain had gotten excited and nearly salivated over her safe-haven, she'd clenched her teeth together. Jake would kill her if she brought back this maniac to camp. Of course she wasn't going to camp right now, she had to find her friend first. The genius decided he was going to run off into the city to find some supplies, prove his worthiness to the others.
"Uhh, right now I'm just going on a hunch. My friend, Kent is probably screaming like a little girl and batting zombies away with a stick right now. Somewhere downtown, I dunno," she shrugged.
"If you're looking for a safe haven, there's bound to be a few checkpoints scattered all around the globe. Just gotta find them all. I know Von's store was across the street from one," she told him. Wasn't a lie but those bastards were exactly that, bastards. If they died, they died, screw 'em.

[Feeling like just focusing on one single roleplay at the moment, so were gonna lead this one to an end, or cut it off at an interesting point in the next few posts.]
"Were have my manners gotten off to? I apologize for being creepy, I am not very socialistic. It might be better not knowing where your safe zone resides, a place of refuge is no place for me. I cause problems, personally for my own gain, my experiments. They are not for the faint of heart, and are very dangerous. But thats just my work, its what keeps my occupied, keeping me from just ending it all. I will not stop until I have somebody to pass on my legacy, The Doctor must always remain... In the house..." Getting into a deep train of thought, Shplain ended it with a joke, no knowing if the little girl would be old enough to laugh at it or not. None the less, it wasnt important, he had gotten his point across.
The infected on the other side of the door started to moan louder and louder, they knew prey was just past the steel, they could all sense it. With the jerking, moaning, and banging, Shplain stepped in front of it, and banged back on it several more times. "Do you sink zey are trying to... Communicate wiss us? Zat is vere my research lay, ze questions zat nobody cares to try and answer."

Clarissa ejected the clip from her handgun and sighed, pushing it back in. She had half a clip left now. When Shplain asked her about communication and the zombies, she'd snorted a bit.
"I don't think they can even think anymore. I'm pretty sure they're living off of pure instincts. Well," she began, rolling her eyes up toward the ceiling of the cart.
"Maybe just a single instinct. All they seem to want to do is eat...ya know...us," she finished before making a practice aim with her pistol.
"I'm not about to sit around and have a chat with a mindless, hungry, zombie."

It was than that the train had came to a halt, after hitting something heavy on the tracks. Shplain had been knocked onto the ground, along with the girl Clarissa, but not so much as to harm either of them. As it all stopped motionless, there hadnt been a single sound coming from way up on the rails over the city. Looking outside of the window, he noticed there wasnt anywhere to get off at, emergency exit would have to be from another source, had this happened when everything was normal. However, the two were stuck here, until getting off of the tracks themselves, one way or another.
Using the butt of his shotgun, Shplain broken the window along side of the train, and than peeked out, looking both ways down the tracks, It wouldnt be possible to climb out this way, there wasnt anything to grab onto and shimmy along. Looking upwards, he seen the skylight, and knew it mustve been there lucky day to have in this very car. "Look up zere! We can use zat to get onto ze roof, and zen climb across down onto ze tracks! Or, or or or..." Looking back at the electric door, Shplain knew that getting to the back of the whole train was another idea, so long as they could take out who knows how many infected. They couldnt go around them without climbing onto the roof. "...We go through zem..."

Clarissa stuck her head out of the noew broken window, glancing down at their potential fall. It wasn't that long down, but you could still break a limb or your neck. Grimacing, she'd listened to both idea. Both sounded scary and dangerous. Before long, she'd glanced back at the German doctor and sighed.
"Well, I don't want to have to go all the way back just to go all the way around. So we can just try your first idea. I'm failry good at climbing stuff anyway, just gimme a boost upto the roof, please and thank you," the teenager requested.

"Okay, perfect." Shplain spoke out in a simple tone. This was going to be better than his previous plan. Leaning back against the seat to get some good leverage, he lay the shotgun down onto the floor of the car, and than held up his arms in a sling. He knew that he wasnt the strongest person alive, rather below average, to think about it. But the girl wasnt all that heavy in the first place, so it would work fine. Allowing Clarissa to step up into his hands, Shplain raised and lowered her several inches at a time, and counted out loud each time she was boosted. "One..." Rearing down, he counted again. "...Two..." he spoke out, pumping his hands down, and pushing upwards.
"THREE!" With that moment, Clarissa had been sent upwards, breaking the glass with the end of her handgun before landing on top of the train. Quickly picking up the shotgun in his hands, Shplain looked up to see that the girl landed nicely, and wasnt hurt, aside from possibly getting glass in her hair. "Its too high for me to climb out, you go, the next station is not far down the tracks. Im going to stay here and work in peace. It was nice meeting you, Clarissa!" But Shplain knew she wouldnt just leave, not without spitting out some more words. They always did when he wanted to be alone.
