This Catholic High school is a private institution, and is as large as a college campus. The area has three buildings; two for teaching areas and one for dormitories.

The car slowly arrived outside the large Catholic school. Destruction seemed to have already reached here, the shattered glass and blood splatters in the entrance way made Louise feel uneasy. "When we get inside don't look back, just keep searching for a computer room." Although Louise spoke these words, she knew that Amanda could handle herself, Louise loaded her gun and opened the car door. With her gun placed forward, she walked into the school.
As she walked in, the destruction seemed worse than ever. There were desks in the entrance hall and shattered glass on the floor. Louise raised her gun in the air, she saw a small box near her feet. She picked it up and threw it forward. Louise took a moment to look at her surroundings, she and Amanda were stood in a small corridor, behind them was the shattered entrance door and to their right was a toilet. Nothing appeared to be reacting to the noise of the small box, Louise rushed forward and turned to the right, she realised that a computer room could be anywhere in the school, it was just finding one. They both checked as many rooms as possible, keeping an eye on any un-wanted attention they could be attracting. The building seemed to be isolated, but Louise didn't want to take that chance.
Louise nearly cleared the first floor, until she came across a small room. She opened the door and saw 4 computers switched on in the right hand corner of the room. They both rushed in and Louise sat at the screen and turned the computer on. It appeared to be working fine. "Do you know any websites where i can check out where the infection has spread to?" she spoke to Amanda, awaiting a reply...

The hunger it felt was immense. Its body carved out over london, each individual unit constantly hungry, constantly looking for food. For food that would never quench an unending hunger. Food was rare these days, the walking ones only continued to rot, making their flesh dirty and vile, only causing more of its units to fall sick and die. Numbers were quickly replenished, but that did not make any better the problem at hand. If they did not find a better source of food then things would only grow worse. Fear sparkled for the first time amongst the units, each shifted its own feathers, showing this fear in a different way. A forced calm however shot out over itself in a wave. " Look for food". The message shot out like a wave among its units, the message had no real begining or end. For it existed in each single one. Invisible ties that led them to one another.
Suddenly the silence of the city was broken by the roaring of some other beast. The attention of the Legion turned, and they saw. A metal beast, far below. Like the ones that the warm ones used to ride within. Did that mean there were more of the warm ones left? A buzz of excitment rattled through each of the units, and the overwealming command of follow the beast came. It watched as a single unit flew over and followed the metal beast. It came to a hault outside a building, the stone coffins that the warm ones had build had no kept the cold walking ones from coming. The unit that watched landed. Keeping its eyes on the metal beast as its wing ( door) opened and out stood. Yes. There. A warm one. The hunger pulsed through the legion, the unit that watched willed to go down and attack. To sate its own hunger. However it was not to be. They were one. No longer did they compete for food. They would gather. And they would wait.
Other units gathered, they didn't stay in the same place as the original unit. Some landed on the building itself. Looking down at the metal beast. It would likely be their main form of escape. Some of these beasts were stronger than others. They had skin that their talons could not claw through. However they had a feeling this one wasn't that kind. And would offer little protection should they gather in a horde. One at a time, more gathered. The hunger grew. Being apart the hunger was seperate. Something diluted. However now that the units were forming in a concentrated area. The hunger was almost maddening. But it was used to this. And it would wait.
....Outside the building. The sounds of pigeons could be heard...

[Posting order is as follows... Louise, Bane, and then myself. However, Bane, your birds can "peck" in between Louises and my posts where you see fit For battle circumstances!]Amanda had left the car with the shotgun in hand, and then gabbed a pouch full of ammunition before following Louise. As they entered the building, the goal was to find computers, so they split up in search. She could certainly handle herself, as could Louise, and they could cover more rooms faster by breaking off. The place was surprisingly quiet, the infected left just as fast as it came, but the destructiion left behind stayed. The mjority of the rooms were classrooms, all with a number of "smart" equasions written on the board, none of which Amanda could even attempt to solve. But he concentration was then broken instantly. Louise had found a computer room, as Amanda ran in with her. The place had no windows inside, probably to prevent glare on the screens, but the majority of light came from windows in the hallway. Crouching near the moniter, she had looked at the browser, and then opened up Internet Explorer. Typing in Google, she searched up the keywoard "Infection Update". She had done the same thing before, it brought up a "Feeling Lucky" search page with news articles dated just yesterday. That meant that someone, somewhere had access to this, and was updating for everyone else. "There... Hey, you stay here and check the updates... Im gonna go look for a lunchroom. There must be something to eat in this place..."Amanda pushed the mouse over onto Louises side, and then left the room, locking the door behind her. She motioned to make sure she was around to let her back in, it was a bit inconvient, but nothing would get inside and sneak up on Louise while she was concentrating on the screen. Amanda paced the hallways, following signs that might lead her to a cafeteria, or something with food inside. They were inside one of the teaching buildings, but thought that there would be a place to eat somewheres.

Louise watched Amanda type on the keyboard. Louise wasn't very familiar with computers - she knew how to switch them on and off, but to search the world wide web? It was tricky stuff. Once Amanda showed her the website, she left the room to search for something to eat. Louise read carefully at the information on the screen.
[red]"Thank you for your patience, it's becoming more difficult to access the internet lately, but as usual we have the updates for survivors. The whole of America is gone, please do not attempt to head to the USA as there is no one left. The country has become a walking place for the creatures out there. The UK is becoming more and more infected by the minute; London, Manchester, Wigan and Bolton have now suffered at the hands of the virus..."[/red]
As Louise read through it, she muttered to herself "Why didn't i read this before i left Raccoon?"
[red]"The safest place right now is Egypt...no creatures have been able to access the main area of Egypt, making it the safest place right now. If you have a helicopter or Plane then try and make your way to that area if you wish to survive. Check back for more updates soon."[/red]
The blog came to an end as Louise's eyes read the final sentance. She knew that Egypt was the place her and Amanda had to make for - but finding the way there was going to be hell. Unless the internet had directions, she was screwed. Louise knew that she and Amanda would have to make their way back to the airport again...by any means necessary.
Suddenly, Louise heard a crash come from the corridor. It sounded like a book shelf falling to the ground. She pulled out her gun and ran towards the door, she looked slowly through the small window at the top of the door...she could not see nothing. "What the hell was that?"

It watched through the units blood stained gaze, hunger rose deep within as its eyes traveled up and down the bodies of the warm ones. Their flesh would be so sweet, so good. Even if it were only seconds devouring them would be a momentary reprise from this maddening hunger. The warm ones were communicating to each other. A verbal communication that it had long since lost the need for. The old ways had marked them as individuals, but now they were something greater. One unit tore off from those gathering at the top of the building, flying down wards and following the windows that the male walked past. Moving slightly ahead of him, the unit stopped at the window and landed. It ruffled its feathers looking inside.
To humans it would be quite obvious that each single on of the units were not normal pigeons. They were at least twice the size they once were. A new serrated pattern had replaced the old smooth beak. And its claws were now closer to the talons of a hawk than any garden variety urban bird. It chirped, once more waiting. This, it thought to itself would be a good time to attack, to swarm in and overwhelm them whilst they were divided. But then it would be limited to the size of the building. It would lose many in comparison to an open ground attack. However the hunger thrummed again within it, and with it every single one of the units. They grew impatient. Each one wanting to break free and smash through, to attack. It took some effort for the collective intellect to reassert itself. To remind them that death was not preferable to hunger. For within death there is no meat. But, it would let some of them have what they wished. For it would employ both tactics. He'd send in a group of units to attack the humans, but not to kill them. Merely force them to retreat. And then...
[Male NPC]
John had been hiding out here for awhile, he didn't dare go outside anymore. The infection had gotten worse, far worse since he had stayed in. This place had a local internet connection that was still active, so he was up to date as much as he could be on what was going on. As far as he knew the goverment were completely powerless to stop the onslaught of the viral outbreak. To stop these. Zombies. Yes. He said it. Zombies. Shuddering he looked onto the table, there lay the Zombie Survival Guide. Although it was a peice of fiction that he'd bought for a laugh. The guide had actually helped him survive from running out his house, to sneaking around the zombies. To even making a safehouse out of this school.
There was enough dried food, it would last awhile. Then came the sound of an engine, at first he had thought about just hiding till they left. He didn't want to share with people. But his sense of moral well being had overwealmed that, so walking outside he went to see just who these people were. He opened the door and bang there was one of them.He jumped back. " Holy s***....sorry about that....". ( Amanda). He scratched his head and then looked around the empty hallway, his face quickly growing red in his embarassment. " Been awhile since I saw anyone...you know...alive...". And thats when his eyes saw it. A pigeon. Or what had been. Perched on the window. " ...S-s***...".
[ Back to Legion]
The unit looked at the warm one male as it conversed with the female. Its head cocked to the side wondering just what the man meant. However by his body langauge the hive identified fear. It was something the warm ones stunk of and the walking cold ones knew nothing about. However it usually came before drastic actions. Or whenever it knew what was happening. The unit on the window still chirped, it was loud, and sounded more like a raven rather than a pigeon. Its eyes seemed to glint intent.
More began to gather in the area around the hallway. Landing on trees, parts of the building. The ground. And even the car. The hive knew what it was doing. It would wait for now. It wouldn't attack to draw them out unless it had to. The warm ones would no doubt show themselves eventually.

Amanda hadnt been that far away from the computer room where Louise was, but it was far enough away not to hear movement inside the room. So when there was a light sound she could hear bouncing off the wall in the room, she knew it was something else, and automatically jolted toward the worst conclusion. Before she had a chance to get to the door, it had opened up, and a guy stood in the doorway, catching her offguard. Amanda was a little startled, but tried not to get too trigger happy with her shotgun, forcing it back down to the ground once she realized it was another human. Seemed he was more scared of her then the other way around.
Amanda didnt have a chance to get another word off, only listen to the male, and then look behind her with fearing eyes and stutter a cure word. She turned around with her shotgun, and into the room across the hallway, as a signifigantly large bird staring back at them through the window. There wasnt enough of a shadow for her to see this before, but even just realising she had been watched this whole time sent a cold shiver down her spine. She didnt know exactly what to do, where to go, but an attempt would have to be made to get back to the computer room. "Quick, follow me!" Amanda ducked down the hallway toward the computer room, finally hearing a crash. But she didnt stop to find out how many more there could be, only get running closer to the doorway.
Quick turning down another corridor, Amanda rolled her back to the wall, and looked back and fourth to try and find the right room. It was given away to her by the bright glow emmiting through the small glass panel on the doorway, this was the one she was looking for. Quickly looking back to see if the other surviver was following her or not, she saw him just come aroujnd the corner. "Over there!" Nearly throwing herself toward the doorway, Amanda slid her hand across the tiled wall, until finally reaching the doorknob. It was locked! Now quickly banging on the top of the frame with her fist, she impatiently waited for Louise to unlock the door. "Open the door! Hurry!"

Louise's eyes didn't move from what she could see of the corridor, just as she was about to open the door, Amanda came running down the hallway. Louise felt a sense of relief rush through her, it was probably her that made the noise before...but she was running, what could she be running from?. Louise was startled by a man following Amanda, was he chasing her? Louise didn't know. Amanda banged on the door and shouted "Open the door! Hurry!". Louise unlocked the door and Amanda came rushing in, followed by the stranger.
Louise walked into the corridor - it was empty. Louise glared down the silent hallway, as she began to wait for some movement, she saw a large bird fly from the corner and towards her. Louise ran back into the computer room and slammed the door shut. As she locked it, she saw the bird through the tiny window...it wasn't any normal bird...it was infected and it wanted to eat herself, Amanda and this survivor. Louise felt her heart pound, she looked at Amanda "What the f*ck was that?!"

The unit curiously cocked its head the the female warm one looked at it, had she recognised it for what it was? The answer came abruptly as she and the male ran down the corridor towards another room. Many were here now, the hunger worse than ever. Countless minds focused in the one place. Calling out in hunger. In terrible ravenous hunger. The unit that had been watching them turned around, hopped to the edge of the ledge and then took to the skies.
Already circling above the school there were several other units, all preparing to move in on the same tactic....
[NPC]
He had seen that bird and everything had just shut down. This was the thing that the zombie survival guide hadn't mentioned. It said that the virus didn't effect animals. But that had to be misinformation, after all there had been plenty of animals out there....changed. By this...whatever it was. The pigeons were one. Everyone in london nearly knew about the pigeons. They had undergone whatever change they had during the early days of the infection. Before quarantines had been set up. At first they had just started killing other birds...but that didn't last. They moved onto humans...thats when it became dangerous to go outside.
He followed the girl almost, ploughing into another only missing by inches. He found himself in relative safety with shotgun girl and the other one who had a bit of a potty mouth. Although then again, that was to be expected in these kinds of situations. He quickly spoke up after he heard one talk about what the creature was. " That my friend....is the garden variety pigeon of London....". He was slightly out of breath, he had never been a jock. Science and medicine was more of his thing back in high school. " I don't know what happened...but that...thing....is...or was a pigeon.....after the virus outbreak here in london....a lot of weird s*** started happening...and I'm not just talking about the zombies....dogs went crazy had to be put down.....talks of monsters in the sewers....and well....the pigeons too....". He scratched his head, finding a chair in the room and sitting down for a moment. " Oh, my names John by the way....".
[Back to Legion]
Literally seconds after John had given his explaination the windows of the outside corridor shattered, and in poured a seething mass of bird bodies. There were about twenty or thirty, but moving in a swarm so that it was impossible to tell if you were human. They rushed towards the door of the computer room.

[Hahaha, we are all in the computer room... Louise, Amanda, and Banes NPC John. The Legion he points out in his post is the birds. ]As Amanda and the stranger entered the room, Louise followed quickly, now attention put on the bird. But they were safe in the room, or they should be, at least. Amanda caught her breath, pacing to the back wall with her shotgun. The lights werent on, but the computer were. Backup power, whatever was in the computers were more important, they couldnt afford to lose information at a power outage. But how long would the reserve power last. It was like listening to Louise speak, the english accent of the male surviver was almost passing over her comprehension, but she was able to make him out. He knew a lot of the birds, of course, growing up in London would have that perk. Amanda was from America, she only knew the pigeons as Rats with Wings. So just using her logic, the infected rats in Raccoon City werent much of a threat, but when they can fly, it changes the playing feild. Her shotgun wouldnt be able to take them all out out, it had 00 Bucks for hunting large animals. How did she know that? Hanging around Joey probably stuck in her head, he knew all about hunting. But the reality was, they were cornered in this room, like lab rats, so to say. And tio make matter worse, as soon as John had finished, there was a loud crash. Running up to the door to make sure it was locked, Amanda peeked out of the small plexy glass panel. Seeing a filing cabinate to the left of the door, she jumped for it, and began to push it toward the door. But she could only get into position, it was roo heavy for her. "Someone give me a hand, now!" It was all happening so fast, she just blurted out for help. It wasnt like her to be so dependent, but this was a matter of life or death, they had to block off the door.

Louise heard the crash and saw Amanda dart towards the filing cabinate. It happened so fast, Louise watched as Amanda tried to move the cabinate - it was clearly to heavy, but with more than one person, it'd be easy. Louise ran towards the cabinate and began pushing it towards the door. Louise knew that the building was no longer safe, they'd walked straight into a trap, yet all Louise could think about was the possibility that there may be a way to escape this nightmare.
The door was now safely blocked off, Louise stood in front of it for a short moment to make sure it was - whatever was coming, it wouldn't get in. Louise turned back to the stanger, she glanced back at Amanda and spoke softly "Who's this?"

[NPC]
John sighed and scratched his head, obviously this girl either misheard him or she had a relatively short attention span. Both easily forgiven in times like these. " Uh...as I said before...my name is John...". He shook his head. " Not much else to say about me I suppose....I worked in the Hilton on Canery Warf kissing the arses of the rich and famous who stayed there...I went to medical school...flunked....when this all started I just kind of found my way here...and been here ever since...". He shrugged lightly.
The moment the pigeons burst through the window, John almost fell out of his chair. The girls were quick to block the door off...but John wasn't so hopefull that would hold them back for long. " Great...and I thought things couldn't get any worse". He took out a packet of cigarettes from his pocket, went to grab one and then realised the packet was empty. He rolled his eyes and discarded it. " Listen...we got to find a way out of here....theres no way that door is going to last against a prolonged assault...I mean...sure if they were normal sized pigeons we'd probably have the comfort of living till we starved to death... but....". He shook his head. " Well you saw that one in the window didn't you?....it was huge, easily twice the size of any pigeon I've seen....and its claws were like f**king hawk talons....eventually they're going to be able to break through...and I don't want to be here when they do...".
[Legion]
A failed assault. Well. For now perhaps. The warm ones had managed to barricade themselves in. It wouldn't waste the energy of its units or their lives clawing away, and dive bombing into the hard door and the other stock beyond. At least. Not yet. Despite the maddening hunger, the Legion was paitent. It saw through the eyes of the units that continued to fly around the school. A single unit came down and joined the others who had sat down on the steel beast ( the car).
It went over the plan in the collective mind. Like the bugs it had feasted on before the warm ones had holed themselves up inside this room for now. It would have to work strategy as it had with those bugs in the time before the connection. Panic the humans. Cause them to flee. Perhaps the lives and energy of a few units were needed after all. Ten units flew back down the corridor, landed, then turned. And flew back down towards the door, smashing into it, and began to variously claw away at the structure of the door. It would take awhile to actually break through, but this wasn't the plan. It was more a scare tactic.

Amanda heard the birds try an break through the door, and then eventually the shelf. The problem was, eventually would come sooner then she wouldve liked to think. The vibrations were strong, it would be only a matter of time before they got through, and where would everyone go then? Before thinking too hard, she spun around, and looked for anything to be used to pin against the shelf, they needed more time to think. Seeing the steel above the wall in the corner of the room, Amanda took a few seconds to realize it was an airvent, and that it was large enough for her to get through. Only problem was, would the others fit?
Without warning, she pulled a computer terminal from the table, and then flung it at the vent. It smashed onto the floor, creating sparks and loud zaps before just shorting out and laying silent. Looking back at Louise and John, she breathed from the burst of energy that she just used, and then looked back at the croner. The vent had collapsed now, and reveiled an open in the wall. There was no way she could take the shotgun inside with her, so she slid it onto the floor, and then ran to the bottem of the opening. "I need someone to give me a boost... Im fast, I can lead them away from the building. Itll give you two enough time to get out..."

Louise's eyes followed Amanda's every movement. She watched as Amanda spoke to her ""I need someone to give me a boost... Im fast, I can lead them away from the building. Itll give you two enough time to get out...". Louise hesitated for a moment; she knew that Amanda was talking sense, but her mind began thinking about other possibilities, there could be another way...could there? Amanda looked at Louise, waiting for help.
Louise helped Amanda through the hole in the wall and saw as she faded away into the darkness. Amanda had gone, Louise hoped that she'd be okay, but Louise's mind had a habit of trailing away with itself. She pulled out her gun and looked back at John, she smiled briefly and spoke "I'm Louise by the way, and that girl is Amanda!". Although Louise knew it wasn't essentially necessary, she had been brought up with good manners.
Louise heard some comotion coming from the hallway. She heard the sound of wings flapping and some gun shots. Amanda was there... Louise pushed the cabinet back to it's original place so she could see. Amanda was stood in the hallway shooting the creatures. She began to run away, and the creatures followed. Louise decided to take this opportunity to run. She looked back at John and nodded towards the door. "Lets go!"
The door flew open and Louise stepped out into the hallway, her gun raised in the air. She could hear the footsteps coming from around the building, it was hard to make out at first because Louise and John's own footsteps echoed on the floor. Louise seemed to be walking for ages until she came to the front of the school. She walked outside and caught the attention of three zombie children. Louise stood still as the small children began walking up to her. The steps to the building seemed big, but the children wanted her flesh, they would stop at nothing. As Louise spared a moment for the children she began to think about the horror that had swept over London, something had destroyed her town, something which no one could control. These creatures would stop at nothing for human flesh, and she could do nothing about it, no one could. Louise spoke softly to John who was behind her "Have you ever read the bible?" The children began to get real close as Louise spoke a famous quote from the book she once admired "And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children" Louise glared into the empty eyes of the zombie child, it's mouth now opening for a bite, Louise looked away as she pulled the trigger, killing the creatures. Louise looked down to the floor as tears dropped down her eyes. "God promised us that he'd protect his children...and i hold him to that."

Amanda crawled through the vent system, she wanted to make sure that she was being as quick as possible. The space was a tight fit, even for her, but she was able to get through without too many problems. Upon leaving the vent, she whipped to the right, and saw the birds stare back at her. Not even thinking about anything put pulling out her handgun and firing into the crowd, she took out six of them in a matter for a few seconds, and then sprinted off down the hallway. Amanda could see Louise on the other side of the whole flock, and this made her certain that either way, they could both run. And then 2 things would happen. The birds would all go after Amanda, or they would split up and go after both. If that happens, they would be thinned out. Either way, everyone ran in the opposite direction, hoping to meet up sometime.
