Elijha walked over grabbing the messenger back, and her cloak. Walking back she jumped down to the floor below staggering a bit, and actually dropped her cloak. The weight alone seemed like a hundred pounds, and her muscles were aching. Shaking her head she looked up at Billy. "Thank you," she said lightly. "But that probably brought attention to where we are," she said lightly as she walked to the window. "What are they looking at?" she asked lightly. Looking into the room she seen that it over looked a cage. "What is in there?" she asked lightly. Looking down at Vesser and then up to Billy. She looked around the room, and tilted her head slightly. She was confused, and she really didn't like being in unfamiliar surroundings.
"Ah," she cried as she put her hand up to her forehead. It almost felt like brain freeze, but it was different. Shaking her head as if flashes of an unforgotten past floated into her head. Though there were to many times in here that she remembered waking up in bed three days later, and everything in between was nothing but a blur. Shaking her head she rubbed her temples slightly before looking at Billy. "Okay, now what is this place, again?" she asked as she smiled lightly.

OOC: The AFDS has just arrived by train.
Griffon yawned as he pulled the train to a stop a few miles shy of the city. They couldn't risk going into town and being discovered. He shook his head to wake himself up. He had been up for two days straight. Though it wasn't odd for him it was never easy. When the train was at a complete stop he got on the intercom. "Allright my fellow freedom fighters. It is currently four in the morning, probably the best time to cross a desert in fact. We are ten miles away from the facility and I am currently releasing the dune buggy's." Flipping a lever the back vehicle bay opened and three dune buggys rolled out.
"Billy managed to disrupt some of thier security network so it's likely they won't even see you coming. He sent us various access codes but they might not work for higher security doors." He then yawned again. "Anyways, I suggest you get going before the sun gets to high in the sky. Everyone please report to the briefing car for a briefing from the lovely, warm kind humanitarian...our fearless leader...Art. I'm going to bed now. Rio, after the mission I need you in the monitor room. Don't wake me unless its a matter of impending doom."

Malcom entered the briefing room, throwing a bloodstained, splintered wooden baseball bat onto the table.
"Well I had a talk with our buddy, mostly one sided, he isn't giving much up in a hurry, on a related note, we need a new 6 and 9 iron in that golf bag we keep with the miscelanious melee gear. So if we see anything out whilst looting....."
He sat down at the end of the table and rocked back and forth in his chair.
"So we heard anything new from our boy in the field?"

Daniel sat at the conference table before most of the peple had woken up. He had forwent his thinking period upon waking up, opting to beat everyone there. He knew they were going off to the Death Valley facility today, and Art would want to talk to them before hand. Probably just to tell them some things they already knew, but hey. She was the boss, she got to do that if she liked.
He snickered out loud when he heard Griffon over the intercom, naming off all the things Art seemed to represent the opposite of. Probably get his ass kicked later too.
"Next time try the wedge." Daniel said from his seat. "Wider, thicker. Dont break as easily." He said. He knew his sports gear like he knew his bombs. He heard Malcolm ask about Billy, and snickered. "Probably too busy looking for cat chow." He said. Billy was way too attached to that cat. Scary sometimes...

Riko walked into the room yawning and stopped when he seen the bat. "Please tell me you avoided my sister?" he asked as he headed down to a seat. "She didn't come to the room last night. I figured she stayed in the science lab. With that freak," he said with a shudder.
"I live with you. That thing is nothing," Rio commented as she come in from another door. She sat her laptop down on the table, and sat down flinching slightly.
"How are your ribs?" Riko asked since he really didn't get to see his sister all to much. Truth be told he believe that she was actually trying to avoid him.
"Alright, enough chit chat," Art said walking into the room. She looked at Rio. "What do you have?"
"The map is from what I got from Billy, and some over lay thermal imaging from a few hacked sattelites. Anywise. From their last transmission there either in or under the cryo room. Though if their in it there probably . . ."
"Cold as hell," Riko laughed.
"Probably safe from the numerous creatures roaming around. From what I can gather of all of Sincell's creatures. New and old. Cold weakens them great, and can affect various other sences. So if their in that room they are probably very well safe unless a human decideds to intervine. Though looking at the infered signatures that would quite unlikely," she pointed out.
"Good. Have you been able to block their singal like Griffon asked?" Rio nodded. "Good. During this whole mission. Leave that thing be. I want you in communications helping them out at every turn." Once Rio noddes she clapped her hands. "The mission is simple. Infiltrate, kill, rescue, and destroy the building. Were after Billy, his pet, and his new friend. Anything in that building weather how friendly it may seem or how human it may seem even if it's a monster. It must die. Think of this as a humanitarian trip as well. Nothing in that facility even if it's the nicest creature will ever be able to live outside those walls again." She looked around the room and nodded. "Alright, go quickly, and come back safley. You may leave when your ready." With that said she left the room, and headed back to her office.
"Uh- wow," Rio mummbled. "That was short," she said with a grin. She looked at the others. "Come back safley, and I'll be there to guide you no matter what." With that she left to set up her station at the communications area.

"Sounds like my kind of thing." Daniel said in response to Art's desciption of the mission. The best of both worlds. He traced the 1911 in his side holster and looked at everyone in the room.
"So, boys night out." He said with a laugh. As always, he was half ready to go. Needed his vest, his pads, his rifle. His vest was always loaded up, his belt and ankle holster holding all the ammo for his sidearm and backup. The knives were in place. Hell, if they werent actually infiltrating the big bad guys super not so secret base filled with all sorts of nasty little guard dogs on steriods, he could go as is.
"Gear up, get the buggys, lets get out of here before sun up." He said. He didnt do so well in the sun, didnt tan well. And he didnt like sun block either. He stood up and walked out, going to the room he had left his gear. He'd be wanting some extra explosives. Sure, he was only supposed to incinerate the place, but some utility C4 to blow a wall or door was always good. That, or it made one hell of a detonator for something particularly volitile.

Malcom went back to his workshop in the garage car and retrieved the gear he'd put together for the mission, the lockpicks and the wall breaching device. He also picked up a few extra mags for his rifle at the armory. Passing through the science car he dropped in to check on the prisoner, a few of the staff on the train guarded him, but it was better to be certain.
Meeting up with the team at the buggies he handed out the lockpicks.
"Okay, just insert the pointy end into the lock, turn it on with this red switch and give it time, more complex the lock the longer it takes. I'll break us an entrance with this baby." He indicated the nitrogen device.

Riko climbed into one of the other dune buggies. He looked at the other two in the other one. They knew that more than one was needed, because five people weren't going to fit into one. He started his up and waited for Daniel to pull out before he followed. The desert was long hot, dry, and he was wishing that they had an air conditioner. He moaned slightly as he stared off into space. He didn't know how long it had been since they were driving, but the sun was even higher now. "Gah- I hate heat," he growled into the radio.
He didn't see it, but he sure felt it. An at that moment he was glade he was in a dune buggy. Something hard hit the side sending his vehicle rolling across the desert. It came to a stop on his side, and he just sat there dazed and really un aware of what was going on. Outside and where Riko's vehicle once stood instead stood a 12 foot high lizard. It's tongue smaking the air as it looked at the other dune buggie. Tilting it's head slightly it moved, and as it did it's body seemed to just blend in with the surroundings as the creature disappeared in front of their face.

Daniel was dumbstruck when he saw the other buggy go tumbleing to the other side of the dune, standing up and aiming his rifle into nothing. But, soon the culprit made itself known. The huge lizard shifted into sight for a moment, just long enough for them to get a look at it before it shifted back into invisibility. Sort of...
Daniel shifted his view to the ground. He'd dealt with invisible creatures before. Looking for the pattern of distortion that looked like heat waves in the air wasnt fast enough. You needed other ways of finding them, such as soft ground. Who would set a giant cameleon on them in the desert, he didnt know. Sincell was slipping.
Daniel saw the footprints, and shifted his hand to the AG36 grenade launcher. He lined up his shot with the side mounted grenade sights on his rifle, another advantage of using an AG36 over an M203, and fired the large explosive round. It impacted with an invisible wall of flesh, exploding on impact in a shower of flame and shrapenal.

Daniels reflexes were fast compared to the the creature trying to dig back into the sand. A giant explosion occured following by a screech as sand exploded filling the air. Several more lizards burrowed up from the sand but the buggy's were moving too fast for them to catch up. Dispite the vast desert, it wasn't long before they reached the half way point. Just when they thought they were in the clear five lizards surfaced a few yards ahead. Breathing in their chests puffed up and soon a giant cloud of sand billowed out from each of their mouths.

Riko brought his dune buggy to a screeching halt as it slid across the sand. She stood up on the seat looking out at the creatures. "You have got to be f**king kidding," he groaned. Looking round for an escape he knew that they wouldn't be able to go completely around, and probably more would be coming their way. They had to move and fast. Riko reached down, and pulled up his radio. "Rio," he called back.
"Go ahead with her traffic," someone from the train said.
"Tell her to find out as much as she can about lizards that cloak and dig under ground." He looked back at the others. "What do you two want to do. We go around we'll lose day light not to mention we may run into more of them," he pointed out.
"Riko," Rio's voice came over all three of their radios. "There are two types of lizards that I'm getting at. The satellite images are a bit blurry, but they gave me something to look up. Alright . . . lizard one is a camelion. Blinds into it's surroundings, but to the trained eye very easy to spot. Their weak spot is the base of their neck basically where the skull meats the spine. Lizard number two is a digger. Easy to spot with the two toned spots all over it. It's weak spot . . . is like any other just shoot it a lot. Lizard number three follows and is always with lizard number two. This one is a dark almost black looking lizard. The only way to kill this thing is by taking off it's head," she explained.
"Uh . . . Thanks . . . I think," he mumbled into the radio as he looked at what would be considered two diggers and three black lizards. "Guys?!" he asked as he looked over to them. "Uh . . . what do we do?"

"What, you never saw those old shampoo comercials?" Daniel said, aiming his rifle, his hand on the pistol grip of the AG36. "Rinse and repeat." He said. He lined up a shot in the sidemounted sights and fired a round at one of the shifting ones. He could spot it a mile off, see its outline like it was visible. And more importantly, he could tell which end was its head. And most importantly, where it connected at the neck. He fired off the explosive grenade, connecting with the lizard's neck like Rio had pointed out. Shrapenal and fire flew, and Daniel was estimating near decapitation if he hit where he thought he did.

Malcom fired his rifle at the lizards that looked too close to the vehicles, driving them back whilst Daniel plugged another with his launcher. They were kicking up a lot of dust though making them actually difficult to track.
"This isn't a good plan, give me a sec."
He dropped into the drivers area of the buggy and switched on the headlights right at a group of the reptiles, they stopped and let their camoflage correct itself and their eyes adjust to the new light source. Once they finished the lights were turned off again and they stopped to refocus themselves. Malcom kept flashing them to keep them stuck.
"Learned this trick from an old book. Riko, turn around and cover our flank just like I'm doing, Daniel, you keep smoking these things until we can split."

Riko nodded as he started the dune buggy up and preformed a wide circle with his headlights on. Finally coming to a stop behind the other buggy, but facing in the opposite direction. Still there was nothing behind them. Just the four lizards in front of them. Riko picked up his weapon, and starte firing on them, glancing back on occasion, and even shifting the lights to make sure that nothing was there. There was a high pitched squeel as one of the lizards moved out of the line of fire, but instead stepped on the tail of another.
The second one growled and snapped at the first, and before anyone knew it two of the lizards were rolling along the ground snapping at each other. "Uh . . . okay," Riko said a bit amazed at it. Shaking his head and directing his attention back to the remaining two. One of the diggers was trying to make it's way back into the ground. Several well place rounds, basically an enitre clip later the creature was half in it's hole, and blood soaked the sand from the dead creature.

"I say this is a good time to get the hell out of here." Daniel said, stopping to reload his weapon for a moment. He let the magazine drop into the buggy below him, slamming another into the well and jacking the charging handle back. He then flipped open the grenade launcher, tossing the grenade out into the sand as he slipped another into the open launcher.
Malcolm heard him and must have agreed, the buggy roaring foreward and away from the lizards as they fought amongst each other or laid dead in the sand. They were past the halfway point now. Shouldnt take long to get there.
