Home on the open range. Where the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word, but the moans of the dead never stop. Wandering all over the middle of nowhere are undead creatures of one sort or another, and their all hungry.

The chopper flew high above the landscape, the sun was just starting to rise, but it was a few hours yet until it would be daylight. Using a pair of binoculars, Arc scanned through the window, checking out signs of life anywhere, but this place was all pretty much farmland. But something gave him the idea that when he did see the place, he would know it.
"Emily, do you recognize the scenery from the air? Or should we fly higher to make sure we get a good veiw?" Arc knew that when your flying for a long time, everything below starts to look the same. Trails that youve known your whole life arent really so different from any other at an overhead veiw. But they were close now, he was sure.

Emily took a peek out the window, slowly pushing Julie aside where she slept. Rubbing at her tired, sore, eyes she smiled widely. "Yeah, this is it. Just a little bit ahead, when you see a big, runddown white home. There should be a barn behind it and a red pick-up truck," she informed him.
She couldn't help but keep look-out from above though. She hadn't seen any zombies, but then again, they could be anywhere. Inside corn fields, grassy plains...anywhere! Not to mention she washoping maybe Anna had caught up. So far it didn't seem too good...What was she to tell her Uncle Jack and her kids now?
Looking back at Arc she smiled. "Look, I'm just dropping Julie off here. And checking up on my uncle and his grandkids. We canstay, eat, rest a bit but then we should go back out and look for anymore survivors in the area. If you're up to that, that is," she explained.

Arc turned to face Emily, the plan sounded great. But there was only one little problem with running a taxi service for any longer. Speaking into the Mic to the pilot, he needed confirmation on fuel before making a decision for the both of them. "How are we doing on Fuel? ... Another pick in line? ... Well, regardless, were gonna need more fuel. Hows your source? ... Yeah, I suppose. Alright then, take her down on our call." Fuel was one thing that wasn't too hard to come by, him and Mike were taking advantage of the luxury for as long as they could. But more was needed if they were going to be continuing on.
Arc looked back up at Emily, and then told her the plan. "That sounds great to me, but we have to find some fuel first. Any idea where the nearest outlet might be? We do have to compensate for reserve, so were gonna have to take something with wheels this time..." His job was helping people, thats what he was doing back in 1998 after the UBCS rebelled, that what hes doing now. But was ashamed that he even had connections with the corporation, even though the past was long gone, so that was one thing that nobody would figure out.

Emily quirked an eyebrow and looked around the area below. Suddenly remembering a summer with her cousins and uncle, she smiled.
"Well, a little ways East is my Uncle Jack's friend's home. He was a private pilot. He oughtta have his own gas line there. A garage too. This is a small town and it doesn't look like anyone's really around..." the woman trailed off.
Pausing for atleast fifteen seconds, she glanced abck at him and smiled again. "So we're pretty much set. All we hafta do is find the garage, fill up, then we'll drop the pilot and Julie off. We can wander around by foot til we find a good vehicle. Sound good to you?" she asked.

Arc looked out the passenger window, and then leaned back into the back of the chopper, and answered Emily. "They works out great. I hope its not much of a problem for him to let us refuel. Itll be great not having to deal with a large city..." He looked back at Julie, she reminded him of Joeys little girl, only younger. She had been through so much, its going to be hard going through the rest of your life with all the scars in your memory. But this place would be safe, he knew it. If they could make it through Raccoon City, they would be able to hold out here.
Suddonly, there was a static coming from the radio in front, as Arc jolted for it. But the pilot had already taken the message. After the call, the pilot spoke to Arc directly. "...Yeah, that sounds okay. Just tell him to sit tight." He moved into the back with Emily, making sure he was positoned close enough for her to hear him. "After we land, we need to refule ASAP, the pilot needs to make a run... But, is that okay with you?"

Emily nodded and glanced back out at the scenery below. Pointing at a small home and a mighty large garage behind it in the fields she smiled. "There. That's it below. Land near the garage. I'll check to see if Mr.Harrison is home. I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help," she told Arc.
The little girl beside her was try to see over Emily at the area they were in. She frowned and sighed inwardly, sitting back against the seat again.
"I miss my daddy..." she mumbled sadly.
Emily looked back down at her almost immediately before reaching over and pushing some of the hair out of her small, round face.
"It's gonna be alright...We're almost safe."

Arc looked down, and then told the pilot the landing site. As the chopper neared the ground, he looked back at Emily and Julie. They been through so much, it would be great for them to finally get a little more peace. The chopper hit the ground, lighter then usual, because the pilot knew they had a child aboard. Arc jumped from the helicopter 5 feet early, and aimed his gun around. It was instinctive to check the surroundings, but he knew it would be clear.
As the other left the chopper, Arc moved around and helped the pilot fix the chopper up for refueling. The pilot thew a hose to the ground, and then turned up to Arc and spoke. This was the first time they had spoke without radio, he sounded so young. "Youllnever guess whos looking for a lift, Arc... Louis f*cking Johnson, remember him?" He looked up, and then grinned. "Hes not dead after all..."

Emily had gotten out of the helicopter and helped Julie off. She figured the little girl might have needed to stretch her legs and this was the safest time now. She knelt down and straightened the little girl's overalls for her and brushed some of her hair behind her ears before smiling softly at her.
"Okay, Julie. I want you to stay close to me, alright? I've gotta go knock on the door to see if Mr. Harrison is here, okay?"
The little girl nodded a little warily. "Alright, Emily..." she trailed off, grasping ahold of Emily's sleeve. As they were about to go for the front porch, she over heard Arc and the pilot speaking about some guy they were suppose to pick up. Oddly his name was Louis. For a moment, she'd began to wonder if it was the same Louis whom she partnered up with earlier before he disappeared leaving her with Mr. Douchette and Joey's little girl.
It was possible since there really weren't many Louis' left in the world anymore... Deciding she was stalling, she went on ahead, looking back at Arc from over her shoulder. "I'm gonna go knock on the door, be back in a sec," she told him.
As the woman and child crossed through some high grass, they made it to the steps of the porch and noticed the door was missing, leaving on it's hinges.
There was some blood skidding across the porch to the inside of the home. Emily seized her steps and stared intently at the tracks that lead inside the house.

Arc turned from the pilot, and then watched Julie and Emily walk to the doorstep. But as they got closer, he could tell something was wrong by the look on her face. Quietly, he moved up behind them, and then stood to Emilys left side. Looking at the blood leading inside, he silently took out his SMG, and then spoke. "This cant be good..."
He could tell it nearly spooked her, but she nodded, and walked inside with her gun drawn. Arc stuck to the doorway, holding his arm to steadily cover Emilys back, and signal for Julie to stay outside with him, aswell. He knew she would rather stay next to Emily, but he was pretty intimidating, and knew that the little girl would be in danger going inside, protected or not.

Emily cautiously walked through the living room, her boots clacking against the creaking, wooden floor. She glanced from left to right, slowly turning her body around and walking backwards to check the rear. She saw Arc inside the doorway watching over Julie.
Turning around again, she entered the kitchen where the blood trail ended. Oddly there was nothing there but broken dishes, an opened fridge and a broken table.
The woman narrowed her eyes.
Creeeeak!!
The woman spun around and her eyes darted the ceiling. Emily hurried upstairs and once she did, a body lunged out from the side of the staircase and wrapped it's arms around her, it's mouth stretched open and going for her shoulder.
The woman, however, struggled beneath it's weight and fell over with it ontop of her. She struggled and squirmed trying to release herself from it's grip. Managing to turn herself around, she brought her knee up to create some space between herself and the zombie.
"Get the f**k offa me!" she cursed, pushing the barrel of her gun beneath it's chin and sending off a shot.

After a few minuts of silence, Arc was convinced the place was abandoned. Moving through the door, he turned around and looked out the window toward the chopper. If anyone was inside the house, they wouldve heard it land, no doubt about it. But the place seemed like there had been someone living inside quite recently, which gave him another impression that something wasnt right.
Arc heard the gunshot go off upstairs, and then instantly moved deeper into the house and told Julie to get back with the pilot. Running through the house, he found the stairs, and then jumped up, skipping every second step to save time. Just as he hit the second floor fast enough to see the body fall to the ground, Arc aimed his SMG in the opposite direction, checking for anymore infected. "Are you alright?"

Emily panted and stared at the zombie she'd just killed. Taking in a breath of relief, she sighed and attempted to get up to her feet. "Yeah I'm--" before she could finish that sentence another one had came bursting through the bathroom door behind her, grabbing onto her waist as it fell over.
"SONUVA b*tch! What the hell, man?!" she cried out, falling forward. These damned things were popping up left and right. To make matters worse there were some more banging and rattling coing from downstairs. It wasn't so safe as she'd thought. Strugglng some more, she looked up at Arc. "Shoot it! I-I can't get unpinned!"

Arc had tried to get off a shot, but the zombie was too up close and person. Letting the SMG drop around his neck, he grabbed he infected by the neck, and then ripped him off of Emily. As it was now facedown on the floor beside he, Arc quickly jabbed it once in the back of the neck, hearing a crack. Then pulling out his sidearm, he fired a shot to the back of his head. Putting it away, he reached out his arm, and lifted Emily to her feet.
Arc kept quiet, just pulling up his SMG, and pointing it down the hallway. Walking forward, the lights seemed to get darker. Flicking on the LED light on his gun, Arc jolted toward another doorward, and then looked back toward Emily. "Lets see what behind door number three..."

Emily brushed herself off and groaned at the stench of decayed flesh. Looking over at Arc she gave him her thanks and readied her weapon as he went for the bedroom door. When his hand inched closer to it, the door flung open, forcing both Arc and Emily to quickly point the nose of their guns at the thing's head.
"DON'T SHOOT!" the man cried, holding his hands up. It seemed to be a young man, atleast 2o years of age. Emily quirked an eyebrow at him and sighed.
"James, what the hell are you doing here? Where's Mr. Harrison?" she asked.
The man rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, he's back with Grandpa Jack and Lucy. He got injured by a zombie and so when I was on my way out to find water and all, there he was, tryin' to escape...then after I took him back home, he asked me to come get this picture of his wife from his house...then I got cornered by those zombies so I locked myself up in here...theeen you guys came around."
After his explaination, Emily smiled half heartedly. "Yes, well, you should've yelled out...we could've killed you...Anyways, James, this is Arc. Arc, James McGraw. Anna's son, well, adopted anyway. Long story involving old Raccoon," she said.
