Richard had crouched down behind a piller ahead of Arc, crouched low with his back pressing up against it. He winced and reached at his chest, pressing down on it. It was still hurting like a mother...! Either way, he was still very reliable.
Gun in hand, they could hear the sounds of footsteps running through the cold warehouse. Richard then heard a spent shot from Arc and saw an infected's body come flailing down and smashing into the cement. The other footsteps he heard had came to an abrupt halt then began fading away.
Looking over the pillar he recognized it to have been the little girl, screaming and crying as she ran away. Throwing his arm out to her he clenched his teeth. "Hey! Kid! Get back here!" he called, running after the child. Before he could make it far enough, a gunshot rung, a bullet flying into the piller only a few inches away from his head.
Taking cover again, he growled. "Sonuva b*tch..." he grumbled as four men who were in military apparel had surrounded them, holding them at gunpoint.
"Well looky what we got here, boys. Two very helpless sonsab*tches tryin to nab our little girl," one of them said, totting an automatic shotgun over his shoulder.
"What should we do with 'em, Paul?" one asked, grinning through his scarred face. Richard could tell these weren't military help, they were a**hole kidnappers.
Growling through clenched teeth, he tightened his hold on his weapon.

As Arc heard the girl Lucy run away screaming, he followed Richard as close as he could. But before long, he found himself in the same situation, with the four men holding them at gunpoint. The mix of adreanalin coming to a stop and the little girl running away made him feel very lightheaded. His vision was going on him now, but as he saw two of the men turn to go after Lucy, Arc tackled the man with the AA12 to the railing.
Quickly enough, Richard caught the other man as he turned to fire, gunning him to the ground. Arc used the butt of his shotgun to smash in the soldiers face, and then grab his AA12 before jumping into cover from the other two men opening fire. Now both behind the pillar, Richard and Arc pressed their back against the metal, hearing the gunshots ping off the corner. "On three. One... Two... Three!"

((Beware! Very long post ahead!))
Richard spun around the pillar as quick as three was sounded, sending off stray shots and then rolling around to take cover behind a large metal container. His shots had struck the soldier in both arms and in the abdomen. Arc had gotten some pretty good shots on the other soldier, leaving both of them, stumbling back ackwardly.
Richard took this advantage and ran over, grasping onto a soldier's head, headbutted him in the face and then slammed his knee into it as well, busting his nose and sending him unconscious and bleeding. When Arc disposed of the other soldier, Richard darted off to find the little girl before the other psycho sonuvab*tches did.
Meanwhile on the rooftop, Anna had been crouched down behind some wooden crates, a soldier's unconscious body lying next to her. She had grasped onto his fallen sniper rifle and was glancing through the scope, lining up her shot against one of the closer men's head as he guarded the contraption that held her roughed up father inches away from a horde of undead below.
Before she could squeeze the trigger, the door leading tothe roof had swung open, Emily falling through, holding onto her arm tightly with blood slipping between her fingers. Another soldier had been behind her, chuckling as he looked down at her.
"Hey boys, I found our "good time"." he told the other two who had turned around to look at them and laugh obnoxiously.
Emily glared at the one before her and spit out some blood from her mouth. The man reached out and grasped onto Emily's hair, pulling her up by it. Emily winced and used her good arm to try and get free. The man had put his face near the side of hers and appeared to be saying something to her, whatever it was it made her vastly uncomfortable and ****ed off.
A shot rung off and Emily was dropped, the man's body flew back with a bullet hole between his eyes. When the other soldier turned around to see what the hell was going on, Anna ran up to one of them near the control and kicked the back of his leg out, grabbed his arm, twisting it behind his back painfully and slamming his face into the ground, grinding it into the rugged cement.
When the other man had went to shoot at her, Emily tackled him off the building, stumbling back a little to keep from falling with him. The man's body slammed into the concrete and as soon as they heard that crunch the fleet of undead had began squabbling over his body, ripping into him like bread.
The other soldier had managed to get out of Anna's hold, kneeing ehr in the face. Falling backward, Anna held her bleeding nose and drew her gun up, shooting into his chest multiple times when he spun around to shoot at her.
He managed to send off two shots, both missing the woman by near inches. Unfortunately as he stumbled back, his arm had smacked into a lever, sending the crane's chain diving into the horde. Anna's eyes widened as she went running toward the edge, arms outstretched.
"NO! DAD!" she screamed, trying to jump down, Emily had grabbed onto her cousin's arm, pulling her back. "Anna! He was already dead!" she yelled out. Anna shoved her off and looked over the edge again...It was an image that would forever be engraved inside her mind.
Anna, in shock, fell to her knees and stared off at nothing in particular. Emily had held onto her wounded arm again and frowned, looking away for a moment. She was trying to figure out how she was going to inform her about James' death as well...

Before following Richard, Arc picked up the shotgun ammunition belt that was on one of the soldiers before disposing of his body, and attached it to his own belt. Running after his partner with a slower pace, he opened up the revolving magazine, and replaced the four spent shells. He kicked the empties to the side while he ran along the platform, fatigued from the adrenalin rush.
After hanging the shotgun from his shoulder, Arc began to climb a ladder, but then saw the open doorway which he assumed Richard had entered to catch up with the girl. Jumping onto the ground, he rushed inside, pulling out his .45 LED light to see through the darkened room. It wasnt that it was pitch black inside, but it made it easier to see in the dark spots near the corners, for which the girl could be hiding.
But suddonly, the light shown from the gun had turned the walls red instead of the clear white. After shining it toward his hands, he realized that had been dimming a reddish brown color aswell. Little did he know, this was the virus not taking over his body, but haunting his vision. Arc didnt let it bother him, and pressed on through the rooms, trying to find Richard. "Did you find her?"

Richard took a look around the dark room and sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. "No, not yet...poor kid must be scared s***less," he grumbled out as he leaned against a table, folding his arms.
Beneath the table a small figure was huddled up with a blanket over it. It trembled and tried to surpress it's whimpers, only to let one squeak out. Richard wuickly spun around on his heel and looked around then down at the shaking figure.
He nodded his head toward it and knelt down, reaching a hand out to remove the sheet. "Lucy...?" he asked, calmly. When he pulled the blanket from over her, he was both shocked and a bit saddened to see the little girl as white as a ghost and her face was covered with dirt and blood.
"Hey...are you alright? Your mother's worried sick looking for you..." he said as he heard Arc's footsteps nearing them. The little girl screamed and tried to crawl away, but Richard grasped onto her arm and pulled ehr toward him, trying to calm her.
"Hey! I'm not gonna hurt you! I'm Anna's friend!" he tried. The little girl looked up at the rugged man's face and frowned, her little lip quivering with fright.

Arc kept a close watch on the movement Richard pointed out, but he let his guard back down once he saw that it was the little girl they were looking for. Without any warning, the girl tried to run away, only to be held by Richard, explaining to her that they werent going to harm her. But Arc could tell by her face that she was scared, and most likely handnt trusted Richard completely. Using his flashlight, he shown it toward his own face, and then looked at Lucy. "Remember me from back at the house? Its alright, were taking you back to Anna, okay? Take this."
Flipping around the flashlight with a twirl, Arc held it out toward Lucy. The little girls hand jittered out and took the flashlight, holding it tightly with both hands, suddonly she wasnt scared of the darkness anymore. But then there was the sound of footsteps coming from outside the room, as Arc aimed his AA12 toward the doorway. The second a dim shadow appeared across, he shot the gun high, as the sound of an infected gurgled and fell motionless. More could be heard coming now, they had to get out of the building before the entrance was too populated. "Lets go, lets go! Ill stay in lead!"

Richard nodded and grabbed the little girl, scooping her up into his arms and making a run for the store. Loud footsteps could be heard coming from behind them when the emergency exit had been swung open, Anna and Emily quickining their pace as they darted after the two men.
"Richard! Lucy!" Anna yelled, happy to see they were alright but that happiness soon dissipated as she remembered their current predicament. "Wait, we can't go back into the store! There's a large group of undead that broke in through the glass doors! We have to find another way out!" she yelled, grabbing Richard's arm and Arc's arm.
"Come on, we can use the crane!" she told them, turning to make it to the rooftop. Emily had been holding onto her arm and frowned a little. There was no way she'd make it.
The doors began to shake and tremble making it blantantly obvious what was on the other side. It was almost as if they could smell them. Emily took her gun out with her good arm and took aim, glancing sideways at the others. "Go on! Get going! I'll hold them off!"
Anna knitted her eyebrows together at her younger cousin. "Emily, come on, we can help y-"
"Go!" Emily yelled as the door had collapsed with undead falling onto the floor and ontop of them. Emily began picking them off before her gun had clicked empty. She shook her head and ran forward into the group, screaming as loud as she could.
"GET THE f**k OUT OF HERE!" she yelled as she felt the cold, skeletal-like hands grasping onto her as she pushed through the crowd and shoved infected out of the way.
Anna watched in horror before turning around and pulling the exit open and helping Richard and Lucy out then escorting Arc out.
"Come on! We can't help her now! We can't let her death be in vain!" Anna told them. The child was bursting with tears and screams as she buried her head into Richard's shoulder. Richard huffed and wheezed as he carried her along, running up the stairs with Anna. They could hear Arc shooting at some of the undead but still following closely after.
((I'm pretty sure she can escape. Emily that is. She might end up infected or she could luck out and escape by shoving and tackling. Who knows. Anna's gonna assume she's dead though.))

As Emily yelled for Arc and the others to just leave her, his first instinct was to stay and fight with her regardless of whatever she told him. Now wasnt the time to play here, she was needed by more people than he was. After following the group, he stopped. "F*ck me..." Arc took a few shots with his AA12, clearning out more undead for Emily. But he didnt turn around to the group running, he pressed back to her, strafing around the side and blasting away at the infected that spread around the room now. As Emily was about to yell at him to get going, Arc rudely but honestly interrupted her and yelled over the load groans and moaning. "Give it a rest, chika! Theres no way your taking them on alone, and im already as good as dead!"
Without even looking at her, Arc moved forward, lightly tapping the trigger and mowing down infected with his shotgun. By the time he had to reload, they were already thinned out, and Emily kept on taking well placed shots with her handgun. Nearly ten minuts passed, but they were able to get the door to the warehouse door closed now. Finally making eye contact with Emily, Arc spoke. "You may be stupid for staying, and I may be stupid for coming back for you, but couldnt leave you to do this. This isnt how it ends. If it was, I would be past gone..."

Location; SOUTHEAST KANSAS
Lance stepped out of the simple home tucked back in the rural plains of Southeast Kansas, not far from where he grew up. He was dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a black t - shirt, though his appearance was anything but innocent. Strapped to his right thigh was a holster, a pistol butt sticking out. A large, black bladed bowie knife was sheated on the rear of his belt, right behind his small utility butt pack, slung over his shoulder was a tan colored backpack, and in his right hand... An M4 complete with holosight.
He tossed the pack in to the bed of the old truck and opened up the passenger door, sliding the M4 in next to a case entitled H&K MP5N, and an even larger rifle case, inside was his trusty M21 SWS which he "borrowed" from the Army upon separating from the Special Forces in which he served. Well, he never really "separated" from the Army, but on the record he was...
Bishop heard a beeping noise coming from the side of his pack. He reached in and removed the Black Cell issue SAT phone. He pressed it to his ear. "Sandman here." The voice on the other end was that of General Uteri, a West Point graduate and new head of the Black Cell division. Orders had come through and Bishop was making a "deployment."
The man hopped in his truck and darted off for the rally point.

[And I'm back!]
Emily had fell against a corner of the warehouse, sliding down it tiredly. Her breathing was low and she was holding onto her leg tightly, blood seeping through her pants and onto her hands. She couldn't remember what happened and she wasn't sure what it was, but she was too terrified to find out.
"You're not stupid..." she said lowly, her breathing tense. She looked up at him and opened her mouth to say something when gunshots went off and the pounding on the door had seized. Emily frowned and kept her head hung low.
This couldn't be the end. She couldn't just die now. She made it so far and had lost so many she had to live on. For them. For Rick, Julie, Arc....herself! Her fate seemed to have been literally beneath the palm of her hands. All she ahd to do was lift her hand up and see.
Her heart was racing and her mouth was cotton dry. The wound itched like crazy and her entire thigh was on fire with pain. She was so scared to find out what it was. Eyes watering, she shut them tight and refused to look under her hand, knowing and fearing what the wound was.
"Thank you for being there, Arc. Atleast you proved more reliable than anyone I've met...You've been a real friend..." she trailed off.
When Arc had neared her and was set to speak, the doors pushed open and Anna, Richard and little Lucy were standing amongst bullet riddled corpses. "Oh thank God! Are you two alright?" Anna asked.

Arc, bro. Them ladies are gonna be the death of you, man. Here I came to think you were some lone desperado just looking for a good kill out here, my friend...
Arc didnt know what to say to Emily, just listen to her words. As the doors to the warehouse opened, he heard a famillier voice, and turned to see famillier faces. Everyone was pretty far from alright, he knew this. But at this moment, everyone was safe, thats what mattered. Looking at Anna, Arc opened his mouth. "All in a days work, chica... Now lets get outta here!" But as quickly as they had reunited with eachother, they had to leave the scene.
"You lead, Emily and I will follow." Arc knew Emily wasnt going to be able to walk on her wounded leg, and they had no time to be dragging her along. So he did it what he did best. Lowing himself down to Emily, Arc grabbed her arm around his shoulders, and then hoisted her off her feet with both arms. He shouldnt be putting this much strain on himself, but it was a matter of life or death, and they had to go out of here quickly. Peering down at Emily as he moved behind the group, he knew she was on the verge of passing out. Part of him knew it was the bleeding, while the other part knew it could be something worse.

Anna nodded and took lead, glancing at Richard. "You know if I hadn't come lookin' for you I wouldn't be in this predicament," she said trying to cast a joke.
Richard scoffed. "Noone told you to come look for me."
Anna frowned and held her daughter's hand tightly. "Shove it, Richard..." she muttered, looking off ahead. She'd been through so much as of now and things seemed to become more bleaker than they should have. Her family was gone. All she had was Lucy, Richard, Emily and Arc now. Of course she counted her blessings, but her father was gone...her son was gone..
The former officer had felt her eyes grow heavy with tears and her chest had felt even heavier with guilt and sorrow. She rubbed at her eyes with the back of her arm and fought back all the cramping emotions inside.
Richard stole a look at Anna and sighed heavily, placing a firm hand on her shoulder. "Look, I'm sorry. Just..don't break down on me now."
She lifted her head up to look back at him, face reddened with tears. Behind them, Emily had pulled some weight down on Arc, trying to keep her hand on her leg as tightly as possible. She winced and felt light headed. Nauseous even.
She watched the two before her bicker and her older cousin begin to fight back her tears. She frowned and looked over at Arc. "We've all lost so many loved ones..." she muttered.
"Rick and Julie...Uncle Jack..James...my parents. All of them..gone. And now I'm next. I'm probably infected and even if I'm not, I'm no use to anyone if I can't walk..I'm as good as dead. Alone." she monologued aloud.

When Emily said the word "Infected", Arcs vision went red, but he didnt let the other notice him slowing his pace to avoid dropping her to the ground. Everything around him looked somehow different, all the color tones had a red tinge to them, especially when he looked down at Emilys wound. Stopping now dead in his tracks, he still held onto her tightly, but dropped to his knees and closed his eyes tightly. As he opened them, everything was blurry, but he could make out Anna and Richard grabbing Emily, looking at him and speaking. But he couldnt hear any words. Shaking his head, he gritted his teeth, and opened his eyes fully again.
Everything was back into focus, and he could hear Anna asking "what the hell is happening" to Richard. Was Arc losing it? Standing back to his feet, he finally replied, not knowing how to answer regardess of what actually just happened. "Im fine, mustve just... Overworked myself..." It was the only logical explaination, but it sounded so much like a lie in his head, like he knew what was happening, but his mind was telling him to just forget about it.
There was a noise coming in the distance behind them, and his instincts jumped into action. Quickly, Arc drew his .45 behind the others, but nothing could be seen. The others looked around aswell, scouting the area for danger, but it was completely bare. "I......." As they both shouldered Emily off the ground, they looked at him, reassuring that nothing was there. Arc put his gun down, still staring off in the distance. "Nevermind, lets keep moving..."

Anna had shrugged a bit, concerned about her friend's and cousin's well-being. Glancing at Arc, she raised an eyebrow, her eyes had darted down to some bloody bandages on his forearm. Her eyes then looked over at the bloody leg and hands of Emily. Her heart had sank for a moment before she felt a large, stinging, lump gather in her throat.
She helped Emily up and once Arc reassured her he could help her walk, Anna walked ahead, leaning toward Richard and staring straight ahead, speaking loud enough for only him to hear.
Infront of her, she ahd her hands down on her young daughter's shoulders. The poor child was trembling and teary-eyed, mumbling something about her grandpa whom wasn't with them any longer.
"Arc and Emily are wounded. I wonder if they're infected.." she said. Richard had looked over his shoulder at the pair and then back at Anna, sighing. "We could always ask."
Anna frowned and looked down at her daughter, picking her up into her arms and holding her tightly as they continued to walk. She didn't really want to ask them anything. That might've been what ahd them so down. Sadly enough, Anna wasn't prepared to watch anymore people reanimate anytime soon.
"No, we'll wait a bit longer. I mean, Emily didn't have that wound until we made it on the roof and there weren't any zombies around, maybe she got stabbed or shot. As far as I know about Arc, I'm not sure."
Richard briskly walked by her side, pulling a hand up to his sore, bandaged up chest. It was still hurting like a sonuva b*tch and since they've had little to no time for rest, the bandages needed to be changed and possibly disinfected. It was bothering him.
Anna's eyes had looked down at his hand as he held onto his chest tightly. She frowned and glanced at her arm. She was the onyl one who hadn't really been hurt too badly. Poisoned, but not hurt as badly as the others.
"Hey, why don't we head out? Kentucky's completely overrunned. I saw my dad's pick-up truck around here somewhere. We need to find a hospital, patch y'all up and then we can fill up the tank and go...sound good?" she asked aloud.
Behind them, Emily sighed deeply and nodded. "Yeah, that's fine," she replied shortly afterwards. By this point her leg had gone numb over the wound. It was actually beginning to scare the hell out of her.
Anna managed to smile a little. "Oh, Emily? I forgot to tell you. I ran into Katherine. She and John are still alive and well," she said, trying to cheer her up. Emily raised a brow. "Katherine and John? Really? Wow...I mean, I guess that makes sense. They were involved in the Raccoon incident of '98," she replied, feeling atleast a little better that someone else she knew was alive and well.
Anna frowned again. "Well, Kylie didn't make it though. Their son's alive, but..." she trailed off.
Emily, taken aback, had left her mouth hanging open. Another child, lost. Her lips curled into a frown when she suddenly felt her leg shooting with pain. "f**k!" she cried, letting go of Arcf's shoulder and collapsing to the ground. She tightly held onto her leg with both hands. The seering pain was killing her.
Anna and Richard both turned around, running to her aid. "Emily!"

Arc guided Emily along, listening to the girl speak to one another, stories of people he didn't know, nor either were familiar names he had came across during his travels. But after a walk and a half, Emily had collapsed, and Arc didn't have enough strength to hold her up when she fell. Quickly reaching down, he held onto her wounded leg, making sure it didn't get anymore banged up then it already was. By the time Richard and Anna came and lifted Emily up, Arc could hear the noise again, coming from the direction of the house. Knowing the others couldn't hear it, he looked at Richard and ran north. "Ill make sure the path to the truck isn't blocked!"
There was more then enough energy in him to move quickly, but it was curiosity that pressed him forward. Whatever he was hearing could only be head by him, it was distinct enough for the other to hear, but they couldn't hear anything. Getting to the house far ahead of the others, Arc couldn't see the chopper pilot in the front seat, and got a little worried. Holding the AA12 forward, he moved toward the porch, seeing the door open as well. Certainly, Richard hadn't left it open all this time, the pilot must've been inside, but why would be need to take refuge?
The sound was more distinct to him now, it was radio static, background sound coming from upstairs. Running up the steps, he aimed the gun around the hallways, searching for where the sound was getting louder. Finally, nearing a closed door, the sound was coming from the other side, it was loud enough to block out his own voice. Swinging open the door, Arc was ready to fire upon whatever was inside, but the radio static stopped. Everything was quiet once again. With a puzzled face, he looked around the room from the doorway, then felt a hand on his shoulder.
Turning around, Arc drove his arm forward, knocking whatever was behind him to the the ground. But seeing the chopper pilot on his back, shades knocked off, he yelled out innocently. "Jesus, man! Dont... Do that! Arg!" As comical as it was, the pilot coughed upward, trying to catch his breath. He back away from Arc, finally reaching a wall, and snatching his sunglasses from the floor back onto his face. But it wasn't the impact that scared him, it was seeing Arcs arm bloodied up, he knew a bite make when he saw one. "Your arm, what the hell happened, Arcian?"
But Arc just started at him, his vision getting red once again, peering into the pilots eyes. Blinking hard, he shook his head, and then opened his eyes to see clearly. Looking at the pilot clearly now, Arc looked back at his arm, and saw it was bleeding once again. Holding it with his other hand, he looked back at the pilot while he got back to his feet. "Its nothing, trust me... Listen, I should be one of them already, but im not..."
Hearing footsteps from outside, both the pilot and Arc looked down the stairs, Emily and the others were back. Both of them moved back down the stairs and out the front door, and the pilot went back to the chopper. As for Arc, he wiped the blood away from his bicep, and continued toward Richard and Anna, helping Emily onto the porch against the banister upright. Looking at her leg now in the light of the house, he could see that it definitely didn't look like a bite wound, nor a scratch. Looking at the helicopter, Arc knew it was a better means of transportation to a hospital. "Hey, screw the pickup, theres a bird parked in your front lawn. Hold eight people, we got extra room for any supplies you wanna drag along."
