Browning drawn, "Zombies I can do," she unsheathed her knife and ran if flush with the grip of her FNP-9, "Wish I'd brought a suppressor," thinking about how many more they could attract with the sounds of their firearms alone. They'd made enough noise back at the tourist square; how they weren't being piled on top with the undead was uncertain. It must have been more of a quaint area of the island, not counting the flock of p*ssed off birds.
"Why are the zombies so eager to get into the museum?" Alex whispered as they headed toward the entrance. It was clear to see that breaking down those doors were their main priority. Something tasty must have been inside, and if the doors were holding that well then it must have been barricaded, "We should try entering elsewhere. You can try my hookshot out even..." the PI handed the weighty gun over to Anna, "Either that or if there's a basement entrance around."
Heading through the circular garden garnered the attention of the zombies inhabiting it. The PI didn't fire her sidearm until she saw the whites of their eyes. PAP. The first shot from her browning rang out dropping a zombie.

Anna had looked at the grapple gun partly with glee before seeing Alex move away to take on some undead jerkoffs. She wasn't gonna just leave the kid to deal with it alone, especially if that thing comes back. Instead, she'd stuck the gun in her coat pocket and pulled her own Browning out. Two undead that were somewhere between getting to the flag at Alex and the Museum doors had spotted the redhead instantly, believing that this was a meal they wouldn't have to share.
Without hesitation, Anna planted her feet firmly on the ground and adjusted her aim, with a toothy grin, she'd lined up her shots and took out both zombies within a matter of seconds. There had to be atleast a bit more than a dozen of these bastards and three of them refused to budge from their position near the doors.
When another three had moved in, another pair had went after Alex, since she was closer. Anna, not wanting to get overwelmed in any sense, jumped onto a bench near by and again, took carefuly aim. Best to take a little time to save ammunition, she didn't have alot to spare.
Blam! Blam! Blam! Blam!
Two were dead but one of them had dawned holes in it's chest and neck, but kept on coming after her. Anna shook her head and fixed her aim. This one wouldn't miss it's face.

Skidding to a stop amid two zombies, Alex crouched down planted her knife into the snow. An electric zap could be heard as the white froth flash melted around the girl revealing concrete below, the slick causing both zombies to stumble and slip over making easy head shots for her. Keeping herself firmly grounded in the centre of the circle, another zombie tried its luck stumbling onto the wet patch. It tripped, sliding past Alex who gave it a poke in the head with her knife at the same time. That made half of them dealt with.

When Anna had jumped off the bench, her feet hit the snow hard, her weight imprinting down into the blanket of snow. She'd looked over at Alex who had apparently a badass knife. She would have commented on it if she hadn't been grasped by a lurking undead. Anna struggled beneath it's dead weight as it stretched it's maw open wide, a glazed look in it's eyes.
"Nnrgh!" Anna grunted, slamming her elbow into it's chest and then pushing it up into it's throat, to keep it's mouth back, though it's grasp was still solid on her form. She'd twisted her upperbody a bit and pushed the nose of the gun up against it's forehead before turning her face and pulling the trigger, careful not to get any of it's infected juices in on her.
When it dropped, Anna grimaced and brushed herself off before catching a bit of brain matter on her shoulder. "GAH!" she yelped, flicking it off with her gun.
"There's still those three over there. We might as well just kill them. Even if we can't get inside, just get it out of the way," she mentioned to Alex as she looked around the area a bit paranoid.

"Agreed," the less zombies there were on this island, the happier Alex would be.
Both of the women converged on the unsuspecting zombies, noting ahead of time who was taking down what; Alex proposed that she had used less ammunition during their assault, so she would take the two to the left of the entrance, and Anna could take the on on the right to even things out.
Their coordinated strike re-ended the lives of the undead trying to barge their way in during closed hours. A little reluctant to get close enough to peek through the windows due to the dead bodies blocking the way; but it was clearly visible a few planks of wood had been nailed up to keep the thing shut, "Somebody might be inside?" Alex suggested, "If they could hold out for months that is. Somebody may have heard us," she bent her body to look through the cracks between planks while still keeping her distance from the dead undead.
"Big place," the girl arched her back and looked upwards; three more stories existed holding god knew what relics and artifacts. One thing remain constant though; all of the windows were obscurely dark.

Anna took a step back and craned her neck back a bit, to get herself a nice view. No doubt there'd be a back door but she was almost positive it was big, metal, fireproof and locked with chains and, well, padlocks. This was a museum afterall, one with historical documents and possibly wax figures of immigrants passing through the the good ol' U-S-of A.
She was fairly good at scaling walls if they had things to latch onto, which it didn't. The building was sleek and smooth. Maybe she was going to have to use the grapple gun, problem was if there was someone inside, they could be bats*** insane and seeing as there were no opened windows, plus the liklihood of them being locked, they'd have to break in, which would alert said survivor.
"Alright, well, since we can't really get in without drawing direct attention of anything, why don't we just knock on the door...?" Anna asked, shrugging.
"If worst comes to worst, we break in via your badass grapple gun. We're kinda pressed for time right now with Keith though," she finished, tapping at her sports watch.

"Urhm..." Alex looked to the undead at the door, "Okay," she approached and tried to nudge the body out of the way as best as possible. She took one last unsure look at Anna before rapping her knuckles against the glass... Nothing - she knocked again, "Hello?" the pale girl called, pulling her scarf down, "Anybody in there?"
The room the entrance headed into was rather grand, a marble statue sat in the centre to greet everyone and anyone who entered, "Hello?" knocking again. Something on the floor only just obscured by the statue was dragged out of sight, Alex looked to Anna with a expression of disdain mouthing the word 'bodies' to her. As she looked back she was started to find a person approaching the door.
"Just a sec! You took care of the zombie problem?"
It was a man. He had a bit of a cockney British accent to his voice and, from what Alex could see, looked fairly short in stature, "Uhm-ah-yeah, all clear out here," she took a step back as the wooden planks could be heard being torn down.
"Never thought I'd see another survivor. S'good to know someone else is alive on this island."
Despair in his voice made it sound like he had been quite unsettled from being locked up on the same deathtrap island. The final plank was pulled down and he opened the door up, taken aback by the dead bodies on the ground.
"Bloody hell... inside, please inside,"
Alex felt an ethereal force push her in through the door, a part of her wanting to stay away from the place and this other survivor, "Th-Thanks," her voice warbled as she passed through the threshold.
"Crash landed here on a boat a while ago. Everybodeh I know's either run off or perished. I boarded up here for a while, no idea how much time has passed. How'd you two wind up on Ellis?"
"Ahhh..." Alex had been so focused on her surroundings that a detailed answer slipped her mind, "Same story, pretty much."

Anna had walked in behind Alex and kept her eyes on the British man the entire time, his body language was stiff and at times blocky, sorta like he wasn't all there. Keeping her hand on her Browning, she'd scoffed a bit.
"We just stopped on in to find a map. Is there a map of the island here? We're...trying to find a friend's hideout off in the tree lines and I'm terrible with verbal directions," she said, obviously lying. No way she was gonna spout out where they were going or the fact that Keith was hanging back, hurt. Who knows who else could be listening or who this guy was.
The man had seemed to be sweaty and had an inflared face. "Ah, ah, let me see, ah, yes, the trees, there's nothin' out there but a boat rental service, nothing more, miss, nothing less."
He moved further into the museum, disappearing behind a pair of counters. He'd ducked down, shuffled through some drawers and as he did so, he stopped abruptly, finding his handgun resting in the top drawer. He'd brushed his fingers against it slightly as he looked up at the two women with bushy brows.
Anna squinted a little, nudging Alex. "He's a bit loopy, eh?" she whispered.
Eventually, he'd reached beneath the weapon and pulled out a thin map, unfolding it and laying it on the counter. "You can't have my map, but you can come look at it."

"Guaranteed what we'll become if we stick around in this place for much longer," Alex made a snide response. The map was laid out on the counter, "I'm sure we'll only need to take a quick look," she reaffirmed that he didn't want them to take the map from him, "But maybe there are some other maps around we might be able to borrow?"
"Nigh. Last one. Couldn't find any others."
Alex grimaced as her and Anna approached the counter to take a look, the man pointed to the boat rental he spoke of, "That looks like where he'd be," the pale girl played off Anna's words, while in reality the both of them were looking further to the right side of the map where an indicator for communications had been printed, "Awesome. S'not that much further off round the track. Thanks for the help, sir."
"No-no-no you can't leave!"
Seizing up right after turning tail, 'Loopy man is loopy,' the loopy man were loopy.
"Not without the keys! I have the keys! I'll be back in just-a-second-"
He had raced off through a door behind him. It looked like it lead into an office or something, "Keys?" Alex breathed, looking to Anna, "Eh, maybe they're keys to the communications tower on the chain too?" it seemed better to just let to man grab these keys regardless, who knows what kind of maddened state he might enter if they refused to take his keys.
A gunshot rang off throughout the museum; sounding as if it had come more directly from the doorway the man had left by, "What on earth-?!" Alex drew her Browning, heading for the door. Another door just across served as another exit once inside the office leading into a hallway. Leaning around to spot a massive splash of blood adorning the wall and a trail leading off down the hall and around the corner, "Anna!" she breathed to get the redhead's attention.
Who the hell had just been shot? More importantly, who took the shot? Doubly importantly, why was anyone shooting? Alex entered the hall heading down, at the moment there weren't so much to be afraid of letting her employ a bit of a fearless attitude.
Once rounding the corner, which she had taken far more cautiously, she spotted a figure carrying another figure around another corner; she was uncertain whether either of them were the man from earlier, "Wait!" the urge to call out had risen, Alex started racing down the hall to catch the perpetrator.
They entered a grand room holding all sorts of models, figures and tablets on display. The blood stain, on the other hand, had stopped abruptly at the centre of the room. Neither of the figures could be seen in sight, "Damn it," Alex eased, "What the hell is going on here?"

"Alex!" Anna called out, giving chase after the young woman when the gunshot went off. When she skid to halt behind the dumbfounded girl, she'd seen the body get dragged off around a corner as well. Beofre long, she found herself following Alex some more until they were in what looked like a giant lobby, of course noone or anything was present at the time besides themselves.
Anna had released the clip from her gun, taking a quick glance at it, she had two rounds left. Better make it count if something happens. As she tried to wrap her head around the current situation, the lights that were once dimly illuminating where they stood had cut off. Every single light that was once left on, was now off, leaving them in perpetual darkness.
Looking up, the skyline window had been blotted out with what could possibly be tarps. This was an arranged trap and they'd just walked right into it. Who in their right minds would do s*** like this in the middle of chaos?
"Alex, stay close..." Anna told her, reaching toward her belt where her flashlight was clipped at her hip. She unclipped it and brought it up, tapping it against her hand and flicking the switch on, a beam of dull light flashing against the walls. She knew it wasn't smart to give away their location, but they needed to see, for all they knew, they could see them right now.
There was a sudden pair of footsteps that came from behind them and quickly padded away, forcing Anna to spin on heel and point the light that way.
"Come on, let's get the hell out of here," she told Alex, grasping onto her arm and pulling her ahead of her so she can light the way for both of them.

"Oh crap..." her heartbeat became more rapid once all the lights in the room had been shut off, "Now's probably a good time to tell you I'm not so great with the dark," already she felt her mind swim as far away noises clicked at her imagination. Anna grabbed her arm, the little PI didn't resist being pulled in her direction.
"12 times in a ssssssingle, fleeeting second-" "-if you'd listened once in a while!"
All that could be done were to ignore the voices, they never made any sense. What happened next was enough to scare them out of her head either way. Barging through a door into a common room, the body of the man from early sat propped up against the back of a lounge, staring at them with cold eyes; a red hole directly between them. Alex shrieked, "Ann-!" her body trembled, still hearing footsteps from the room behind them stamping in their direction, "Get us out of here!"
She was the one with the flashlight, Anna would have to be her eyes; Alex found it hard enough to just stand in such pitch black scenarios. A blatant weakness of the girl.

Anna's teeth clenched together sharply as she'd jerked her head back to stare at the body. It was definitely a nice scare tactic if it scared the living s*** out of her. Alex had become fidgity and began to panic, pleading for the woman to get them to safety. She'd took the light off of the man and began to move at a faster pace towards the direction they'd come from.
As they did so, Anna felt slight fear rising within herself. Patting herself down, she'd stuck her hand into her leather jacket pocket and pulled out a bottle of prescription pills. She'd had two left and they were supposed to allieviate her PTSD. She had two left and she'd flicked one out and crunched it between her teeth.
"I'd hand you one, to calm the nerves, but I don't want to scare you off with "candy". " she told the young woman as she moved further through the darkness.
Then came multiple footsteps from nearby. Someone was in the room with then and their heavy breathing had made that apparent. But there were still other people walking about, so how many of them were watching?
"Put your weapons down, slowly..." a sickened voice had told them, breaking the stretch of tense silence. Anna and Alex stopped moving and as such, she'd turned around slowly, trying to shine the light around in the room.
"P*ss off, we just want to leave, whatever you're doing here is your business," she told him.

It were amazing how Alex's eyes followed the torch's shine to the point, it were as if her life depended on that one circle of illumination darting about the room. She kept behind Anna once they had stopped, hand squeezing her Browning hard enough to crack the plastic grip; as much as she lacked self control she knew it wouldn't be safe to open fire without proper lighting.
All sense of direction failed to gather bearings; the pale girl didn't know where they were in the building anymore. Whispers in the back of her mind mingled about, whether her schizophrenia conjured it up or if it were the actual voices of the unknown overseers in the room she couldn't entirely tell.
A rough woman's voice had asked for them to drop their weapons, not in a polite manner either. Alex wanted to protest, although not exactly feeling as if they were in a place to bargain. As soon as she dropped her Browning, as soon as that pistol left her fingertips, Al knew she wouldn't see it again; not in this darkness. It was an uncertain lifeline.
The clatter of a sidearm hitting the deck resounded in the room. Whatever decision the lithe girl made, she knew she could trust Anna to cover her if it were a mistake.

Anna had kicked the two handguns and her shotgun across the room, wasn't so bad, she had the grapple gun in her jacket pocket and her Colt tucked in the back of her belt. The sounds of steps and the weapons rustling around on the ground could be heard. These people were sloppy.
Anna glared and kept infront of Alex as what looked like a pair of red beads trained on their chests. They assumed right, they could see them pretty well in the dark, so they had the equipment, must have been some sort of military or something with training. what were they doing here?
"So are you the same people that killed those people in the Centre Square before we arrived?" Anna asked.
There was another slate of silence before the feminine voice had replied with a rasp. "My men and I came here to flee the city. B.O.W.'s overran New York and I watched alot of people die. Doesn't matter, I don't really care. People are disgusting anyway."
Snorting, Anna grunted. "People are disgusting but you're running around murdering people because you're anti-social. Right."
A bullet rang off, penetrating the wall inches away from where her head was. Anna tried not to flinch, but it just didn't happen, damn bullet was damn close to blowing her head off. "Jeez, touchy, are we?" she asked, still challenging the woman.
"Shut the hell up and put your hands up against the wall! You too, brat!" she said, obviously yelling at Alex.

"Urgh..." two laser sights; even though they cut through the pitch black it was still impossible to tell where their oppressors were standing. Just as the female soldier ordered them to turn around the dot hit Alex in the eye, causing her to twitch and fail to follow through. A powerful hand clamped down on her shoulder...
"I said ON THE WALL."
Then forcefully pivoted on the spot and slammed against the wall, "Ow," her cheek squished up on the plaster. Did Anna have anything planned? Was she waiting on Alex? The woman had sort of dodged her partners question, were they the same people who had murdered the other survivors? If so, why on earth hadn't they shot them yet, "Are you going to kill us?"
The female soldier tutted arrogantly; still dodging things it seemed. Alex through about what left she had on her; there was her knife, but it still only had one charge left. Was this the appropriate moment to use it up? The PI would have to wait until the very last moment to be sure, her nearly platonic relationship hadn't carried it this far just to waste it.
"Maybe."
Her voice had sounded like she were playing a riddle; the dark haired girl surprised enough to hear her reply, but still the female soldier had dodged the question, "Look, we got ship wrecked here, okay?" Alex started blurting; whether Anna liked it or not was something she would find out, "Maybe a couple of hours ago, we have no idea how the hell to get off this island so if you're looking to us for answers we can't help you," her lies sounded surprisingly honest from her desperation. A serious feeling of Atlas Shrugged was coming from these people.
