((I'm gonna go ahead and post now. I told Ion I was quitting the RP due to some...contemplation but I don't want to let him down. So I'll surprise him with kicking it off, though I might not get to the big plot I wanted for some reasons...))
Chase quickly turned to look at Lucy with a raised eyebrow. "Do what now?"
Andrew and Adrienne, on the other hand were bickering in the back of the group. The woman had a dented baseball bat strapped to her back as she'd yelled at her boyfriend about thinking the comic shop was the best place to hole up.
Jake was busy keeping his eyes turned on the lower floor at the tyrant's body still. He was pretty uncomfortable with it just lying there.
Anna had taken the meds from Lucy and smiled at her, gratefully before placing them in her jacket pocket for now. She'd held onto her .45, ignoring the pain in her arm. She could wrap it up when they got to the roof. When she'd asked the agent about the danger they were in, she'd frowned.
"It's not so much you all in danger is it is our...daughter..." she said, awkwardly. She would have to get used to calling Aryn her daughter despite feeling like she'd be stepping over her boundaries or the overwhelming feeling that she was replacing her deceased little girl.
"There's a band of mercenaries that work with Tricell. Their leader has been contracted to take Aryn for some certain, medical condition, she has. She tried to take down my chopper a few months ago for two reasons: she has a fourteen year old grudge against me and to get me out of the way to get to Aryn. Now she's trying to kill my husband so he's completely out of the picture. She's still under the impression that I'm dead. I'm assuming she thinks Rich is too, now. Which is good for us. We can slip by and grab Aryn, head back to base before they even find out."
The Lieutenant grunted. "Crowley is relentless. She'll find you."
Anna narrowed her eyes. "If she does, she's dead."
