The most beautiful part of Mexico has to be its sandy beaches and blue ocean. Well, that’s how it used to be. Blood litters the sand, as well as what’s left of people who became snacks to the creatures roaming around. Those same creatures are still wandering around, looking for more food. The water across the coast has the crimson colour mingling through it, not only is the land dangerous here, but a swim is certainly not suggested. The T-Virus easily made its way out into the waters of Mexico and infected the unsuspecting wildlife that it contains.

(( Jason and Alex enter ))
As the car pulled to a stop along he road the ocean was clear as she remembered it from last time. She climbed out of the car and walked toward the edge of the cliff. It was a nice place to stay for a while, but she knew that they couldn't do that. She looked around the area trying to figure out if she rememberd the place. Then the familiar pach of sand caught her eye. "There," she said pointing up the road. "We wont be able to get the car down there, and it looks like a good thirty foot drop. I know we brought the scuba gear, but did we think about rope?" she asked as she looked back to Jason.

“I always think of everything.” Jason said as he got out and went to the trunk of the car, opening it up and pulling out a spool of rope. Rope was always handy to have on hand. You never knew when you would need it.
He pulled out the SCUBA gear and started to tie it to the rope while he handed her the rope.
“Tie this to the bumper.” He said. It would support their weight, no problem.

Alex nodded as she did as Jason told her. She made sure that the knot was secure before moving back to him. "Alright it's nice and secure," she said as she stood back while he tied the equipment to the rope. She walked to the edge and looked over before looking back at him. "I'm going to go ahead and jump down. Send the equipment down one at a time, and I'll untie it. Rinse and repeat," she said with a laugh. Alex shifted and jumped off the cliff she flipped in mid air before landing in the sand below. "Alright start sending them down," she shouted up.
One by one Jason lowered the equipment down, and she untied them. Once the last one was down Jason used the rope to meet her down at the bottom. Alex helped him carry the equipment to the shore. "You know I've been thinking," she said lightly as she looked at him. "For someone who is different you don't act it," she paused in thought. "Then again I've never really seen you in a tight situation to have to show it." She grinned slightly as she dropped the equipment by the shore. She looked out at the ocean, and sighed a bit. "I miss those days," she said lightly as she looked down. "He didn't pay to much attention to me, but to have him near seemed to be enough at the time." She sighed a bit as she looked back out to the ocean.

“I’m not so different from an average person.” Jason said as he took his jacket off. The shoulder rig came next, holding both of his handguns, as well as a set of wicked knives and some spare magazines. He folded it and left it on the ground for the moment as he began to check the air tanks.
“When they experimented on me, they wanted to keep me as human as possible. Easy to kill should I turn on them. I was made to be the perfect human. No chance of birth defect or illness, no difficult personality traits, nothing like that.” He said, running his hand over his bald scalp as he looked over at her.
“That. And I’ve never had a haircut or shaved in my life.” He said with the smallest grin. He had never grown any hair on his head, save for his eyebrows. It had come in handy, when he never left any kind of evidence behind on a hit.
“The tanks are fine, lets get suited up.” He said. He wasn’t going to put a suit on. He didn’t need it. He doubted he would need an air tank at all, he could hold his breath for over five minutes. But it never hurt to be prepared. He took a small plastic bag from the gear he had lowered down and put his guns and magazines in them. He wasn’t going anywhere unarmed.

Alex had already been prepared with the wet suite. She had left her cloths in the car so it would be easier to change once they got back. She took off the coat she was wearing, and set it against the rock with her shoes. She then slipped of the booties and the tank. Walking to the water she waited for Jason to follow her. She slipped on the fins and goggles as she waded further into the water. "You have to give me a bit to try and recognize our surrounding. It has been quite some time since I've been here," she pointed out. She stuck the regulator in her mouth and dove beneath the surface.
She looked back on occasion to make sure that Jason was following her. When she wasn't making sure he was behind her she was paying attention to the coral life beneath her trying to remember where they had to go. It had changed so much since the last time she had been here. Stopping she looked around trying to get her barrings straight also realizing that it was harder to remember than she realized. As Jason touched her arm she looked to him, but caught it out of the corner of her eye. She grabbed his arm and pointed to the shadows.
Jason motioned and she followed after him. As they entered the tunnel it grew darker the further in they went. She could remember the tunnel being lit with under water lights, but it would be obvious that they wouldn't work now. She went to switch on her light, and quickly turned away as she felt something brush up against her leg. She looked around trying to see if she had actually hit something, but didn't see anything. She turned back to shine her light on Jason only to see him being jerked out of her light. Alex threw the light around the cave trying to find Jason only to have something wrap around her hand.
She was jerked forward faster than she expected to in water. She hit the wall muffling a cry, and dropping the light. As it floated down to the ground it's light hit a crystal illuminating the vicinity, and the giant squid that bound them. Alex tried to free her hand only to have another tentacle wrap around waist. She felt it pull, and a resounding pain that coursed through her shoulder as it was pulled from it's socket. She looked to see Jason having his own problem with the squid as well.

Typical. A giant squid on the way to Jonathon’s base. Jason had been expecting sharks, personally, but a squid fit in just the same. And as such, Jason had prepared for it. He didn’t waste time struggling against the grip the monster had on him, instead reaching for the diving knife on the belt of the tank. He pulled it out and rotated his wrist, stabbing into the tentacle and rolling his wrist into a circle. He could make it let go, and go for the spear gun on his back that was loaded with a surprise.

As Jason stabbed the squid in the tentacle it let out an angry cry as it let go of his hand. It took the tentacle that was wrapped around his waist and jerked him back almost shaking him a bit.
Alex bit down on the regulator that was in her mouth. She fought against the pain in her shoulder, but used her free hand to grip the tentacle that wrapped around her wrist. She tried to pull her wrist free only to have the squid pull against her. She cried out and let go of the tentacle reaching for the knife that was attacked to her vest. She stabbed into the tentacle holding her hand, and jerked the blade around until it let go. As she went to cut the second tentacle free she was thrown down another short tunnel. She hit the wall hard gasping and choking on the water she inhaled.

As the creature shook him, Jason was able to free his hands and reach the gun on his back. He pulled it forward and launched the spear attached to it. Upon impact, the small charge attached to the end exploded, sending the squid reeling from the impact. It let go of Jason and he was flung away from it, going down the same hall Alex was thrown as soon as he was able to right himself.
Swimming toward her, he grabbed onto her and started to swim toward the surface inside the facility.

As soon as they broke the surface she jerked out the regulator and started to cough. With Jason's help they swam over to the dock, and climbed up. She laid back calming herself down a bit before she sat back up. She gripped her arm tightly hoping that it would ease the pain. They watched the water for a bit waiting for the creature to surface, but it never did. "T- that was new," she said lightly as she stared at the water. "It was never there when I was here. Sorry about that," she said as she looked up at him. She looked away and down at the ground. "Can I ask a favor of you . . . that thing dislocated my shoulder . . . can you . . ." she trailed off as she watched the water.

Jason just nodded and knelt down, holding Alex steady with his left hand while his right gently grabbed hold of her shoulder. He opened his mouth like he was going to start counting before he suddenly pulled her shoulder and snapped the socket back into place. He stood back up and took the tank and regulator off, setting them on the ground next to the spear gun. Pulling out the bag, he pulled out his handguns and thumbed the hammers on both back.
“If you’d like to stay here, I can search the complex.” He said.

Alex shook her head as she climbed to her feet. "No I want to help," she said lightly as she flexed her arm slightly. "The pain is starting to ease up," she said as she followed him off into the other parts of the facility. "The rooms are down there to the left," she pointed to a hall to the left of them. "An the labs are up ahead. The cafeteria is to the right," she said as she followed him up the hall to the lab. "I don't remember where the actual entrance is though. "What are we looking for?"

“We’re looking for anything.” Jason said simply. If they were lucky, Jonathon would actually be here. Or, they would get a lead as to where they should move next. Or, they would find a base totally cleansed of any useful information. Either way, they would only find out by looking.
“Stay behind me.” He said. “Do you have a weapon?” He asked as he started to move toward the first door on the right.

Alex tilted her head slightly at the question. "A weapon?" she thought about laughing at the comment, but she knew what he meant. "No I don't have a weapon on me. Why now bring that question up?" She turned to peek into some of the rooms as they passed by them. "You know I have come to the conclusion that my father is quite good at covering his tracks," she said as she looked back to him. She stopped as Jason stopped at the lab. She looked around as they moved further into it. "Northing's really changed over the years," she said as she ran her hand across the dust covered desk. She moved around the room searching through the discarded papers. She pointed to the back room. "That's Jonathan's personal lab," she said as she continued to search through the papers.

“You never know.” Jason said, pointing his guns toward the room as they entered. Deserted, with a layer of dust on everything. He had expected as much, but he didn’t let his guard down. He was still expecting either a hungry BOW to pop out or an automated trap to spring.
When she pointed out Jonathon’s private lab, he knew it was a good place to start. He walked over to the door, but it didn’t open on its own. It was on the main power grid, which was offline. Hmm. After knowing he didn’t have the equipment to break through, he looked over toward Alex.
“Where are the backup generators?” He asked. He knew the facility would have some.
