This was a once clean sewer, but now it is invaded by waste and monsters.

Jamie looked down into the manhole. Nothing. Just darkness. He slowly climbed down the ladder, swiveling his head around is search of infected. He was after one type of infected frog that was as big as a mans hand, but had enough toxins in its body to kill an elephant. The BSAA had sent him to retrieve a sample of this beast, and he was starting to wonder if it was such a good idea after all.
As his boots touched the floor, a foul smell overwhelmed his nostrils. The water was disgusting. It was thick and black. Everything was black. He pulled out his flashlight, and flicked it on. Ahh, thats better. He thought to himself. He cautiously stepped forward, squinting to see.

With the darkness and the color of the walls, Karma was able to move around the sewers without being seen, or even heard. Blending into the sides was easy as a piece of raw flesh, especially working out now that he could hear something entering the sewer. Karma scurried along the tops and sides, leaping over into separate tunnels, making his way toward the noise. When the target was, he wait in the darkness, invisible to even the mans flashlight, as his skin was almost fused with the stone. Karma wanted to toy with its prey for now, he was already full, and just wanted something, or someone, keep it occupied.

Jamie continued onward. No sign of anything yet. He noticed a slight movement, and aimed his light at it. Must just be the light playing tricks on me. Jamie kept looking there for a few more seconds, then decided it was nothing and started walking again. Little did he know that he wasn't alone. As he got deeper and deeper into the sewers, the smell got worse and worse, until it was nearly unbearable. Jamie readied his UMP, and kept going.

With his pulpils reflexing into a different shade from the light, Karma waited like a stone statue until the man past. He was indeed another one of those soldiers, with a gun that would easily kill him. Crawling down the sewer behind him, Karma wondered why he was down here in the first place. Not that it really mattered, he would be tasty either way. Spitting out his tongue, Karma wrapped it around the mans guns, and then flipped out of his hands across onto the other side. Then, within a few seconds, he jumped down, and faced its prey with both eyes. Letting off a reptillian growl, Karma spit at the mans feet, creating an acidic and adhiesive puddle between them.

The saliva hit the tip of Jamie's boot, and he pulled back to find it was stuck. He would have to cut himself out. But not now. There was a monster in front of him that needed to be eliminated. He pulled out his Px4, and aimed it at the beast. He fired.

Dipping away from the bullet, Karma clung himself to the wall, and then again when the man quickly shot off another three rounds toward him. The last one hit him in the side, however, but it didnt prevent him from moving out of the way. Quickly crawling around the corner, Karma took cover from the man, blending into the wall once again and keeping himself quiet. He had been playing with fire for too long. Fire, karma thought to himself. Fire was much worse then what he was playing with, this was just a lousy human. Bullet wounds will heal, but flames will burn his skin for good.
Karma could see the man jumping across onto the other side of the sewer, searching for his gun, which he quickly found and aimed. It obviously had no idea where Karma was, which would work to both of their favors. The man would think mister monster had went away, while Karma would be able to plot a quick and easy kill. But why was the man down here in the first place?

Jamie picked up his muddy gun, and when he looked back up, the monster was gone. What was this thing? It was a BOW, but it was much more intelligent than others he had found. Jamie wasn't sure if he should just turn around and fail the assigment, or keep going. In the end he forced himself to go on. The reward was quite large. Jamie walked onward through the murky sewers, sweat trickled down his forehead as he gripped his gun and stepped forward.

This was something different. Karma didnt sense any fear in this man, despite his persperation. He held his fun firmly and accurately, pressing onward, but still keeping is eyes open clearly. Slowly but surely, Karma had followed them man through the sewer on the ceiling, taking his time to make sure he wouldnt be found. Any second, he could just jump down and feast, any second. It was tempting, tempting enough that Karma unwillingly sent off a reptilian growl.
Bullets sprayed in his direction instantly, hitting the exact location where he just way. Keeping himself in cover using the camo, Karma blended himself along the floor now, close to the dirty water. While the man peered at the top of the sewer, Karma slipped inside the water, feeling its moist touch. He waited in silence again, next time he wouldnt be so reckless.

Jamie pivoted around in a circle, looking for any sign of the beast. Where was it? It seamed to be cloaking in some way. He had had enough. Jamie turned around and began to run for the ladder, but the darkness overwhelmed him and he found himself even deeper in the sewers.
