Feeling the wounds react to the alcohol poured on him, Arc flexed his chest several times. It was at the same time he heard that Anna was in Russia, and had gotten there with the BSAA. It seemed a little strange for her to be going there, and to meet some friends? Something wasnt right, and arc knew it. Jumping up from the stretcher, and nearly knocking Lisa down onto the ground, Arc bolted for the doorway. As he kicked through to the outside, the same women from before aimed a rifle at him nearly point blank. She made it obvious that she wasnt on his side, and made sure that she would be able to kill him if he turned. There wasnt a chance in the world that he could even run fast enough away for her not to get him from a distance. This was his one and only chance to bolt, to get to Anna without anyone following him. There was no doubt violence occur, the look Arc gave her showed signs of aggression.
"Just get out of my way, let me, I dont want to hurt you. Even if you get a shot off, my reactions will kill you this time, this close to me..." Without waiting for Master to make her move, Arc hit the barrel of the rifle away from him with his palm, and the second the bullets started firing, he kicked the woman. But she knew how to fight, she wasnt knocked back, she recovered quickly, and started to come for her hand to hand now.

Masters watched as Arc leapt from the stretcher, knocking Lisa out of the way and to the ground. Anticipating another attack, Masters raised her rifle, stopping Arc in his tracks. Before she could speak, Arc knocked the barrel to the side and the rest of the soldiers in camp trained their guns on him, squeezing off a few rounds. Arc thrust his foot out, hitting Masters in the chest. She stepped back, catching her balance, then prepared to retaliate.
Stepping forward with her left foot, she raised her right leg in the air, slamming her heel into Arc's stomach, pushing him backward. After whipping around with momentum, she followed up with a punch to the jaw, then another kick with the opposite leg, pushing Arc back farther out into the road.
The soldiers around camp aimed their weapons, but hesitated to fire, in fear of hitting Masters.

When Masters went in for another strike, Chase grasped her weapon firmly and glared at her. He didn't want to seem like he was committing treason but he knew they were no match for this guy. He wanted to bolt into Russia like an idiot, let him. The Colonel was asking for an early grave if she kept this up.
"You better get going then, son. Russia ain't a hop, skip and a jump away. Dunno how the hell you plan on getting there without me though," he told him.
Glancing at Masters he nodded at her. "Colonel I don't want you to get hurt with this one, he could prolly snap your neck with the flick of his wrist. Still, don't waste your time on 'im,"

After taking the strong hits from the evidently strong fighter, Arc let Masters come in for an attack, but he quickly blocked it and pushed her back a little. Several unsuccessful attacks showed that the table was in his favor, there was not a single chance he was going to let her hit him again. Rushing in again, he grabbed Masters by the throat, and pulled her close to him. She unleashed as much hits as she could to break free, but they were all useless. "Call off those guns, and let me leave. If just one bullet its me, ill make sure you can at least crawl back to the convoy."
It was then that one of the soldiers from the sidelines has rushed in with his knife drawn. Quickly letting go of Masters, the beast grabbed the wrist of his attack, and then brought his knee up into the mans chest. As the man was sent three feet upwards from the strike, Arc drove his hand through his chest, and used him as a human shield. As this happened, he walked toward the group of soldiers, expecting them to fire into the corpse.

Masters struggled and grunted and the man grabbed her be the throat. She thrashed and kicked, but his unrelenting grip contained her. Just as she was about to draw her kukri and slice off a limb, Pvt. Padmore, a young BSAA recruit-- twenty-four year old, charged in to save her, knife drawn. The man dropped her, and rushed for the soldier. After throwing him into the air, the man drove his hand threw the Private's chest, killing him instantly.
"Padmore!" Michelle shouted. "Shoot the f*cker!" she barked, ordering her men.
Everybody opened fire at the man; nearly every bullet found its way into Pvt. Padmore's corpse, not even grazing the monstrous man behind him.

That was the final straw, this guy was dangerous and it lead the Lieutenant into regretting ever mentioning his partner's status, regretted letting him off and before long, Chase had turned his assault rifle on him as well.
He waved his hand at the screaming survivors. "Everyone calm the f*ck down!" he shouted, obviously angered. He'd glared at the monster with the blood gurgling soldier in his midst. He'd also took a few steps ahead and forced the soldiers to stop firing. This bastard wasn't going to die from a few bullets and if this kept up he'd kill them all.
"We're all just provoking this sick f*ck! Seize fire! NOW!" he told them before glancing at the Colonel and then at Arc.
"You go anywhere near Agent McGraw and I'll personally see to it that you never f*cking leave Russia alive," he began before gesturing toward all the terrified people and an injured Masters.
"Look at this chaos you've caused. We tried to help you. Look at the women and children you've frightened and possibly mentally scarred. Go on! Get out of here. F*ck off before you p*ss me off further," he told him, scowling and grasping ahold of Masters to lead her somewhere to be treated by Lisa.
If they decided to keep shooting like idiots, then that was their own grave they'd be digging.

"Deal..." Stopping what he was doing, Arc immediately begin to move away from the others. But before entering into the thick treeline, he spoke back to the man. "You tell the BSAA about me. Call the Colonel, tell him to send their agents in to kill me. Send whoever you need to, as many people as you need to. Agent Arcian Griffin of the South American Branch is officially a terrorist to the organization." With that being said, Arc had bolted off into the woods, continuing his search for Anna.
[Arc now leaves The Convoy]
Barry lowered his rifle from the crowd, as the man ran off into the woods. He stuck back before everybody else, not wanting to get in the way. The guy mustve been crazy too make a call like that, how could he possibly remain enemies between the BSAA and a single man?

Masters stood in place, frozen, as the situation played out. She shot an unapproving glance at Chase as he spoke out to the man, telling him to leave. The rogue BSAA Agent dropped Pvt. Padmore's body to the ground, and darted off into the woods.
Masters exhaled, then shot a furious glance at Chase, starting toward him. Approaching him, she pointed her finger in his face as she scowled him.
"You got that boy killed," she said in a hushed tone, infuriated. "If you hadn't interfered, he wouldn't have charged off like that to save us. You don't go barking orders to my men-- know your place," she spat. "If you ever undermine my authority again, you're out of here." she threatened, turning away and storming off toward Pvt. Padmore's lifeless body, in the road.
As she approached him, several infected stumbled out of the trees, farther up on the road.
"What the hell..." she cursed, silently to herself.
Masters knew it was odd for more than one occasional infected to be so far out in the woods, there must be a cabin or facility of some sort nearby-- and the gunfire must've attracted them.
"We've got infected!" she yelled back to the convoy. "Get everyone packed up, we're leaving, now!" she shouted, picking up Padmore's body and starting back toward the bus.
~~~
Next to the school bus, Lisa sat on the ground, confused. She tried to focus on the people and objects around her, but her eyes refused. She could feel a sharp, stinging pain on the top of her head, and a slight wetness in her hair. She reached her hand up to her head, patted her wet hair, and lowered her hand to gaze upon it. Blood-- she must've hit her head when the man pushed her.
Suddenly, everybody began rushing, tearing down tents and tarps, packing things into the vehicles. Lisa tried to stand, but was too disoriented, and her vision was blurry.
"Help..." she whimpered quietly, to nobody in particular.
Chase glared at his superior and as much as he wanted to tell her to go f*ck herself, he quite enjoyed his work with the agency. Of course his frustration with the colonel from hell had made him growl. Working for the B.S.A.A. for far more longer than she and he was inferior to her in rank. He glanced at the soldier's body before scoffing.
"If you didn't provoke him or tell those idiots to shoot at him, this wouldn't have happened. He got ****ed off because YOU couldn't leave him alone," he told her casually. Before Masters could retort, he walked passed her as if she were nothing more than a obstacle in his way.
He'd reached down to help Lisa upto her feet and frowned.
"C'mon there, Nurse...let's get you up and onto the bus...are you alright?" he asked, warmly. When he was sure she was, he'd tilted his head.
"I gotta head off my own way. You take care of Colonel. Even if she's a big mouth," he told the young woman, jokingly. He understood why she was so upset but it really wasn't his fault. He tried to talk it out whilst she tried to shoot him full of lead after seeing they didn't do crap to him.
"I'm leaving back for HQ anyway, Colonel. Goodluck with your convoy. I'll let the Captain know how well things are out here."
When Masters had shouted out something about incoming infected, he'd groaned and turned on his heel, pulling his weapon back out. Couldnt just leave them now that there were zombie bastards on their tail.
"Lieutenant, the civilians aren't packed yet!"
He motioned for some of his friendlier soldiers to position themselves around the camp and take out what they had to, buy some time for the civilians.After he was sure they were safe, he'd head off to get to his partner before the monster did.
Michelle climbed into the school bus and lay Padmore's body in the back, making a promise to herself to bury him later. She returned outside to see more infected sprinting out of the trees. She ran for her rifle, slinging it over her should, before continuing to help the civilians pack up.
"Alright, everybody, let's go! Don't look back, just hurry!" she directed, as she shot a remorseful look at Chase, realizing she might have been a bit hard on him.
Suvivors began to crowd into vehicles, and fires were put out. After a few minutes, nearly everyone was ready.
~~~
Lisa arose to her feet as a man helped her up. It took her a moment to realize it was Lt. Chase. He began leading her to the bus, talking to her softly.
"I'm... I think I'm okay-- just... a little blood, must've hit my head..." she grunted, confused, as she sat in one of the seats near by the back of the bus.

Chase nodded at the nurse and smiled. "Alright, just find yourself a seat with the others while we finish packing up, he told her before moving back out into the fray. It seemed bizarre how they'd been there for so long without any signs of infected and then they just emerge from nowhere. Didn't matter right now anyway, camp was still being rushed into packing.
He'd taken some shots at three infected running at the bus. Nailing two of them in the head and another in the legs, sending it tumbling forward. He'd curb stomped it's squishy skull and heard a woman scream a few ways away. She was struggling with one of the ghouls and by the looks of it, it'd bitten her arm.
He'd fixed his aim and shot it in the side of the head, it's entire weight fell dead on the woman, causing her to continue screaming. Another zombie running at him from the side. He glanced sideways and took two more shots. One hit it's neck, blood squirting out from the wound, the other hitting him in the upper left corner of it's decayed forehead.
"Colonel! Lieutenant! One of the children are missing!" a soldier cried out, trying to console a sobbing mother.
Chase glanced back at the Colonel, worriedly.

[Lucy Gray is entering the Road to Stoneville from Clover Park]
The freezing cold was biting at Lucy's face as she steered down the road that led to a town called Stoneville. She didn't have to slow down for traffic... there wasn't any... she had to slow down due to the wind. Go to fast and her eyes would blur with tears. So she was only going about 15 miles an hour.
She had just about given up hope when she heard shots being fired. Immediately she was filled with hope and dread. If they were shooting, it probably meant the undead or maruaders... or they were the maruaders targeting civilians. She slowed her speed until she was almost at a crawl. As she came around the corner, she saw a school bus with people running onto it. The undead were swarming through what must have been their camp. People were firing at the undead and she saw at least 2 military trucks.
These were the only people that she had seen in the last 2 days... but could they be trusted. She was about to let them go and continue on her way when two things happened.
First, she saw small children in the back of the bus and soldiers guarding them. That usually didn't mean raiders.
Second, she didn't know that she had come to a stop and an undead grabbed her by the jacket. She felt the tightening of her jacket from behind and screamed. It attracted more attention. By reflex alone, she gunned her moped forward. She was almost pulled off the bike but a snapped sound followed by a thump on the back and she was away. She hazard a look back just to see the undead missing an arm and the arm falling off her bike. He must have been pretty far gone because it had just fallen off.
Now Lucy was speeding into the camp site. She swerved to miss a fallen tree and steered right into a group of undead. The momentum pushed her forward into the windsheild and mowed down the first three zombies. She heard a snap and saw her front tire was bouncing off down the hill.
She jumped from it. She landed on her feet which quickly buckled. Her knees hurt from hitting the ground, but the moaning behind her forced herself to fight through the pain.
The door of the bus was still open and she was half stumbling half crawling to it, one are reaching for the door, one hand reaching for her gun.

Two undead had came reaching for a redhead girl crawling for the bus. Looked like she was coming down the road on a bike which was in spare parts now when Chase watched the scene unfold. He'd turned around and taken a couple of shots at the undead, reaching down to grasp the girl by her arm and pull her to her feet.
"C'mon, kid, get in there!" he told her, helping her up into the bus. He didn't know what else to do about the missing child. Masters didn't seem like someone to leave a child like that, so they'd prolly take care of the problem and form a search party. Where the hell could he or she have gotten off to?!

Lucy half crawled, half launched herself through the bus' open door. She hit her shins on the steps and cursed. Then the found the first open seat, which was the first seat on the left, right beside the door. She looked out the window as her freedom, the little blue moped toppled down the hill, breaking to pieces. First the wheel had come off. Then it had flipped over and the windshield was smashed and then the seat with the storage compartment flipped open and whatever she had stored in there came flying out. She realized that except for the bottle of water in her backpack, her clothes, the medical kit, and the gun and ammo, everything else was gone. Her eyes teared up and she couldn't help but cry.
She put her hands up to her face and sobbed in them. Her body ached and she had just lost her one chance to get to Estes Park. She felt the bus lurch forward and just stared forward.
She didn't even know who was on the bus... and right now she didn't care. She sunk down lower in the seat and leaned her head against the wall of the bus. Tears continued to stream down her face and every so often she would sigh or shudder.
:: EDIT 08/24/2011 ::
Presently, Lucy was able to gain control of her emotions and stop crying. She wiped her face with her sleeve, knowing that her nose was red and that her eyes were puffy. She looked around at the others on the bus. Most were civilians and there were a few kids on there. They had been crying as well. She saw one of the little kids had a gash on her forehead. She must have tripped and cut it on something. With her training taking over, she took out her medical kit and got up and made her way over to the little girl's seat.
She couldn't have been more than 15 and she looked up at Lucy with a wariness that suggested she didn't trust anyone. Lucy held up the medical kit.
"My name's Lucy. I'm a nurse and would like to clean up that gash."
The little girl nodded and moved over so that Lucy could sit down. "Name's Bree", was all she said. Lucy took out a sterile cloth and poured some hydrogen peroxide on it.
"This will sting a bit, but it will help kill any infection." She started to dab it on the cut. Bree fought pulling away, but hissed under her breath. The cut bubbled up as it killed the infection. Lucy kept doing this until she was sure it was clean. Then she reached in her pack and pulled out the triple anti-biotic and applied it to Bree's head. Then she put a bandage on it and gave Bree two painkillers for the pain.
"Before you know it, the scare will be gone and you will be ready for prom."
Bree smiled. "Yeah, but my date is undead", she said.
"That just means more food for you to eat."
Bree laughed and turned to look out the bus window. "That is one way of looking at it."
:: EDIT 09/14/2011 ::
Lucy sat with Bree for a bit longer and then got up to check on some of the other passengers, including the soldiers at the back. With an hour, the bus and the convoy came to a stop again. The soldiers got off the bus and went to check things out. Lucy looked around and saw that she was alone, forgotten as others tended to each other.
Quietly she exited the bus and made her way away from the convoy on foot. She only had her gun, a few bottles of water and some food. She didn't know why she was leaving the safety of the convoy, but she didn't fit in there.
She looked up and saw a sign up ahead that said "Welcome to Stoneville." Nothing jumped out at her so she figured it was halfway safe. As she approached, she saw a sign that pointed to a park called Lake Trinity. She heard helicopters so she knew that some survivors were there. She headed in the sound of the helicopters, hoping to make it before nightfall.
[Lucy is leaving the Convoy and headed toward Lake Trinity]
