Jake grinned widely. "Hey. I know I haven't showered in about oh say, 72 hours but gimme a break. I've been trying not to die," he joked again, trying to make light of the situation. Shaking his head, he looked around at the corpses as well. Nothing that surprised him. The smell was also something he was use to.
"Well...ya get use to the smell. Death, not so much," he told the girl.
"Come on, there's a door there. It's open..." he trailed off noticing an electronic door opening and closing over the body. Looks like someone washere recently... He narrowed his eyes.
Better stay on your toes, kid.

(Group enters, outside.)
The group had gotten to the Waste Disposal Facility with little incident. Surprising, but Richard wasn’t one to look a gift horse in the mouth. He told Mickey to stay in the car for a moment as he got out and took a look around. He probably looked a bit odd to her, leaving his pistol in its holster and pulling out his knife. He did this because the knife was a lot quieter. That and he was still plenty deadly with it. More deadly than some people could be with a gun.
He didn’t stray too far from the car, in case something snuck up on them from behind and spotted the woman and her baby. It wasn’t just his job to protect them. He saw it as a responsibility, the better part of human nature shining past the worst.
When he was satisfied it was clear, he walked back to the car. Colleen had made her way over, and he looked to her.
“We leave girl and baby in car or bring ‘dem?” He asked her. Both had their ups and downs, but he had to think that bringing them with would keep them safest. Either that or let her have the car and let her make her own way to safety.

OOC - Sorry about the delays and lack of posting. My work has been busy, and I've been wanting out and away from everything in the evenings... so it's lead for very little time in front of PC and only lurking to read here. Anyways... sorry for worrying people and GAME ON!
Parking the bike close by, and scanning the area first, Colleen hopped off and secured the cycle, pulling the keys and then dialing a number on her phone that caused a beep to sound on the Harley, securing it from theft and making it easy to start if she needed it. Walking over to Richard and meeting him half-way, she had the chopped down 556 ready and panning around with a critical eye, "She comes with... If nothing else, Mickey can carry ammo and supplies, and she's surprised me so far. The baby's also very quiet too... managed to sleep through a small firefight."
Taking out the small computer from her backpack, she flipped the screen over, and brought up the map of the local area, and of the facility itself, "The server we're after is in the storage facility's warehouses... here..." Tapping a red dot on the computer map and expanding the room, "So far as the initial sweep says, all the BOWs were cleared out and sanitized on the initial examination... but with all the black-ops bulls*** Umbrella was pulling even on themselves, it's a chancy call."
Shutting down and putting the computer away, the former Air Force Seargent flashes some standard movement and operations signs for when inside, checking to see if Richard knew and understood as most military types would... and as many civilians sometimes had to learn coming into groups like the BSAA.
Waiting for a nod of recognition, she motioned for Mickey to join them.

(sorry I didn't post earlier. School started last week and I had to do schoolwork, but now I know how to manage my time so I can post often)
Carefully, Mickey stepped out of the car and cradled Chelsea's head so it didn't hit the top of the door when exiting. It probably would have been wise for her to grab a small helmet back when she bought baby supplies at the mall, but it was now too late to think about that now. Chelsea was still awake and occupied with the little bunny and it might only be a small amount of time before she dozed off into another nap.
When Mickey stood on her feet, she very quietly closed the car door to make little sound. Afterwards, she lifted the diaper bag onto a shoulder before removing the kitchen knife and handgun. The kitchen knife was placed in her belt, where her small notebook normally would have been, and the gun clutched into her right hand. The bag was lighter and didn't weigh a whole lot, but a few more days or weeks of carrying around the bag was going to make her arms muscular.
After taking a deep breath, Mickey walked over to where Colleen and Richard were and waited for an order for what she would need to be doing next.

Richard nodded quietly as he listened to Colleen lay out the assignment and the plan. As he listened, he took a few items from the pockets of his jacket and slipped them into his pants pockets. Very few, a small vinyl pack that contained a set of lock picks and a pack of cigarettes with lighter. He took it off and set it on the hood of the car, and then proceeded to roll up his sleeves. They had only ever seen him wield his knife, and now they saw it was by choice rather than necessity. They now saw the shoulder holster he wore with the Sig Sauer P226 in place. Along with a band around his left forearm that held five small knives, only three inches long each. The sheath he wore at his side with the knife he seemed very comfortable with also held two more blades of equal size, the handles round and plain. Colleen may have recognized it as a Spetsnaz staple, a ballistic knife, the two other blades reloads for it.
His pulled the Sig Sauer handgun from its shoulder holster and racked a round into the chamber. He pulled his headset down and then the hat he wore. It looked like a simple wool cap, but pulled down it revealed itself as a balaclava. The image of a skull was printed on the face. He put his headset back on and put a pair of glasses on. They looked like sunglasses, but they were actually mirrored. He could see just fine. He said nothing, didn’t explain his getup to the women. It was actually something he had learned in training. A weak mind assumed things. To cover your face from view was unnerving to your opponent. It was one of the reasons the Spetsnaz wore gasmasks over balaclavas.
He followed her hand signals and signaled that he would take point. He was willing to bet he was better in a stealth role than she was. He had specific training in the area. He made his way to the door and stuck close to the wall, looking back to see Colleen getting into position and Mickey sticking behind her. He waited for an all clear, and opened the door.

Taking a moment, Colleen checked the 556's chamber, and then fished a tactical light from her pocket, attaching it to the side of the weapon, and flicked it on, readjusting the scope on top slightly. Flicking it off after the test, she moved back to Mickey, and gave her five different signals to watch for, including their meanings. Stop, Eyes Up, Spread Out, Form Up, and Go That Way. Fairly easy and then looking to Richard before continuing.
Moving back to Richard, her reply was a double-pat on the shoulder before taking the weapon into a two-hand grip, tucking it as close as she can without having the stock from the chopped down assault rifle, pointing it down and away from Richard as he began to move forwards, staying back enough to cover Mickey, and showing her how to walk... taking slow steps, one foot straight, the other one sideways, crossing them with the backstep while sweeping her own vision left and right while the small group moved forwards and into the facility...

OOC - Escachick? Are you going to post soon? If not, we can post deciding to take Mickey/Chelsea to the airport and continuing off without her?

(She’s going to post, she just got swamped with some school work. I’ll get a quick post in for you to respond to. Not a lot she can do while we clear the initial area anyway. Also makes an opening for her to bring some monsters into our business and mess our sh*t up.)
Richard felt the taps on his shoulder and he reacted, grabbing the handle of the door and turning it. He brought up his pistol with his right hand and held it close, swinging open the door gently and scanning inside. The attached light lit up the darkness perfectly. And so far, it was looking empty. He stepped in and stood in the doorway, scanning the corner he couldn’t quite see from outside. He let the door hit the wall with a small thud, telling him nothing was hiding behind it.
He signaled the clear to Colleen and continued moving, stacking up at the next door and waiting for the signal from her again. Again, he moved in at her ready and scanned rooms. Every one they came to was clear. It seemed like her readings were right. What a relief…

Sweeping her weapon in the opposite direction after moving in the first area, Colleen made a check... left to right, then back, and then up and over, looking on the ceilings for anything untoward... odd holes in the ceiling, possibly bodies hanging there... anything out of the ordinary. Coming back down, her light shined forwards and further into the facility. Not even a sigh, or anything to show a sense of relief.
Her only response to the signal for the all-clear is tapping her comm unit once so that it clicked over the band both BSAA agents were using. Working with Richard, she continued to move forward slowly, covering her quadrant and keeping as much in mind of the young woman's presence behind her and the potential dangers that could be faced with such an odd cargo on board.

OOC: time to gte back in here IC
A somewhat beaten up car pulls up to another entrance to the waste management facility, a broken in driver's side window and a BSAA agent sitting in the drivers seat, wires hanging beneath the steering wheel. The agent turns off the vehicle and steps out, grabbing his shotgun on the way out. He keys his radio set to his squad frequency, "This is Raptor 1 If anyone has managed to get here break radio silence and report" he says into the mike.
A few minutes later he gets a quick response, a scream of either anger or pain, he grits his teeth and shoulder's his shotgun, and shoots the two hinges, before kicking in the door shotgun at the read, were there anyone else out side other than nearby they would have not heard the commotion.
The agent scans the room, the tac light on his vest lighting his path, he quickly reloads his shotgun and moves into the facility searching for his team.

Mickey took notice of the signs Colleen gave. Though she was in no way an expert or even knew a lot about sign language, she knew enough to understand what she was told. Something about this place told her that it would be difficult to escape alone and unscathed. Not that she would want to leave alone anyway. One simple attack on Chelsea could end her short life and chances were that the woman wouldn't be able to protect the baby with the little experience she had.
When the "all clear" signal was given, Mickey let out a sigh and followed Colleen and Richard into the new room. So far, everything looked clean and safe. Nothing entirely out of the ordinary. No blood everywhere or signs of pure gore that matched the ones in the street or in the hallways in her apartment complex.
Suddenly, she heard a rattling sound from one of the tall lockers in the room. Maybe this room wasn't as safe as it seemed to be. She ignored her uneasiness and headed to the rattling locker. Her left hand was placed onto the door, but before she could open it, the cause of the rattling did the deed for her. Inside the locker was a zombie, an average sized man who perhaps didn't make it in time to be decontaminated and closed himself up in the locker before completely changing into the creature.
Mickey screamed and turned to her side to prevent the zombie from grabbing the defenseless baby. This caused the zombie to grab her free left hand. Mickey moved her right hand to shoot the zombie, but stopped after realizing that she could end up shooting the baby by mistake. The zombie moved its face closer to her arm and the woman kept screaming. If there was more rattling in the other lockers, it would be hard to hear them.
--------------
The room the agent walked into seemed quiet enough until a long hissing sound came from one of the vents on the ceiling. After a few seconds, the lid to the vent broke off and a licker climbed onto the floor in front of the agent.

OOC: I am assuming that agent is me. IC
Upon hearing the hissing from the ceiling Agent Inman quickly halted his movements, listening. Above him the vent falls down, making him jump back as the licker crawls out, it's head up and listening.
Inman freezes while still on his back on the ground as the thing searches for prey, his shotgun having been flung to the wall across from him and out of his reach, his hand resting on the grip of the 1911 in it's SERPA holster, ready to pull it out in a seconds notice.
The licker crawls around slowly, snarling and searching for the prey it had detected earlier.

With an almost superhuman, very practiced quickness, Richard bolted for Mickey. He’d tried to stop her from opening the locker. Probably would have succeeded if he had gotten the chance to speak before the monster burst out. He knew already shooting wasn’t an option. Even if he had a clear shot, the blood spatter would hit both her and the baby. Blood in any of the orifices’ on the face were enough to infect.
As he ran the short distance, he let his pistol fall to the ground. Something he would never do under normal circumstances, and drew his knife. He got there just it time, it seemed, and locked his left hand around the zombies throat. Pushing up, he got the face of the creature away from the young woman’s arm and stabbed up. The blade entered under the chin at an angle, barely an inch away from Richard’s hand, and severed the former humans brain stem. Its hand went limp and fell to its side, Richard easing it to the ground to avoid the unneeded noise. It was probably a moot point as of now, but it was an old habit. He had been trained to never let a lone sentry drop to the ground after elimination, lest another be nearby and hear the noise.
He ripped his knife free and looked around the room, listening for other noise and looking for other threats. Seemed clear, but as they had just witnessed, nothing was at it seemed.

Moving almost in tandem, Colleen took off as well towards Mickey, but her pace was outstripped by the almost frantic-seeming Russian agent. Instead of pulling Mickey away from the zombie, to put distance between the two, she scooped up Richard's SIG in her off-hand, and then spun to face the opposite way from the pair and the lockers. Sweeping her field of fire left and right, up and down for anything else that might have been signalled by the noise.
Taking a couple steps back so that she can look and check Mickey over, her right hand expertly flipped and turned the pistol, so that the grip faced Richard to be taken up once more. Then she whispered to Mickey, "Calm down... calm down... take a couple breaths... you're allright." A hand going up to comfort her shoulder with a squeeze of her fingerless glove, "You're allright... Chelsea's allright... shhhh... silence is our friend here... silence will keep you both alive. Zombies and other Bio-Weapons that Umbrella designed react to sound and smell more than sight." Her tone not admonishing in the slightest as she then nodded to Richard, "Let's go. Sooner we're done, sooner the three of us can kiss this place good-"
Colleen's hand with her 556 went up to her cell-radio headset, and then she looked back at the Russian BSAA agent, "I'm getting some signal traffic, an echo trace... check our standard frequencies... see if someone else is using a BSAA channel."

When the creature died, Mickey stopped screaming. That, however, did not prevent her from freaking out. A few whimpers and quick breaths came out of her mouth. Thankfully, they subsided when Colleen was talking to her.
Mickey was angry at herself on the inside. She should have been more prepared for something like this. All she wanted to do was survive in this city. She'd already seen plenty of those things and even saved the baby from being lunch from one of them, so she shouldn't have been screaming and close to crying after it was gone. The strangest thing about this was that all this time, Chelsea didn't shed a tear. She was braver than Mickey.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have screamed like that." Mickey said calmly and sincerely to Richard and Colleen. She paused for a moment, hearing no other sounds, "I think everything is gone now."
