Back in the main terminal, Anna had been furious. "Are you f*cking kidding me?! We have to f*cking trek all the f*ck the f*cking way through Kansas f*cking city?!" she swore, punching a nearby wall.
"OW F*CK!" she screamed, clutching her hand.
Li grimaced at her constant swearing and sighed. "That's almost exactly how Allison took it. Minus the multiple f-bombs," he said.
"I don't get it, why can't they just fly us to the next nearest airport?" Rich asked stepping up to Li.
"Because they're low on fuel. They need to conserve as much as they can and the only real reason they're sparing what little resources they have, is because Allison's paying a pretty penny for it," he told them.
"Seems like a rip-off if you ask me. 'Yeah we'll take your money to take you to Vegas, but if you die during the transfer, tough luck, a herp a derp,'" Rich said mockingly.
"I've never been to Kansas City, I don't even f*cking know how to get around a big ass city like that," Anna complained. "And then we have to haul Aryn and Jimmy through there?" she added, frustrated.
"Well, I'd say it's worth it if it gets you into the safety of Vegas," Li mentioned, shrugging a little.
"Maaaannn...." Anna whined some more.

"I guess I'll go break it to the kids," Rich said with great resignation.
The kids were kicking back, anxiously awaiting their flight when they'd noticed their mother's swelling anger across from them. When Rich was closer, Jimmy chuckled a little.
"I heard her dropping atomic F-Bombs.Ya tell mom about the Black n' Busty magazines I stashed or...?" he joked.
"She punched a wall! I thought she was gonna go Godzilla on your face, dad!" Aryn told him.
"Hehe, you guys," Rich said laughing and sitting down by them. "Well..." He took a moment to think about what he was about to say. If he told them they were going to have to go through an infected city before transfering to Vegas, they might get jittery and worried during the flight. It'd probably be best to leave them in the dark about it until they arrived...
"Mom was getting ****ed cuz we have to transfer at Kansas City. Waste of time, but ya know, they need to refuel so we might be stuck there a bit. On the bright side, I changed my mind. When we get off the plane I'll give you your gun back, alright Aryn?"
"Woo!" Aryn cheered, shooting both hands up in the air, joyfully. Jimmy, however, only looked at him, concerned. "Uh..huh..." he muttered, in disbelief.
"Yeah so, I'll be holding back your mother's wrath if you guys need me, 'kay?" Rich added, getting up and brushing back a strand of hair on his daughter's face.

"Roger, are you sure you don't want to hang back here while I go get my mother? We're going to be in a hot zone and...you know....your heart..." Allison said, frowning.
"She's got a point. We don't need you to kill over while we're walking through the city. I don't need anymore blood on my hands," Anna told him, sighing.
"I'll be fine. I know the city and can get you all through it safe. Besides, if I don't go, who'll get Allison to take her medicine?" he said looking over at her.
Allison glanced back at him, knitting her brows together with worry. "I'll remember to take my meds, I'm a big girl," she assured him.
"Well, if Roger says he's a-okay, then I guess he's a-okay. Just trust 'im, Crowley," Anna told her, patting her shoulder a little. "Just make sure you pack his medicine and his blood perssure thingy-ma-jig," she told them both.
"I did," the mercenary said, looking down at her watch. "We should get going, Roger, follow the Holdens onto the plane, I'll be there in a sec," she told him, smiling and wandering off with her bags over her shoulders.
Anna looked back at Roger and grinned. "Alright, c'mon Rogers, follow me," she said, waving a hand at him and walking toward her family.
Roger went to follow her when he stopped in his tracks. "Oh wait, I forgot my suit. I'll be right back," he said, turning heel and jogging back to where he slept.
"Sonuva b*tch, I hate travelling with other people...always unprepared...even when you tell 'em the night before to be prepared and pack everything and they're just inconsiderate f*cks and sh*t..." she ranted a little under her breath.
"So I told the kids we're stopping in Kansas," Rich suddenly said from behind her.
Anna looked back at him and sighed. "Did you tell them everything or leave out the terrible details?" she asked.
"Left out a few terrible details, yeah."
"Mmm...when are we going to tell them?" she asked him, looking back at her kids.
"After the flight. Figured they don't need to spend a few hours in the sky worrying about things they can't control."
"I suppose it's for the best then," she replied, looking at her husband, sadly. "Well, I guess it'll be alright. We're going in a tight, competent, group. Roger's from the city, so he can guide us through too. We might not run into as much trouble as we think," she explained.

With Roger off getting his motorcycle leathers, Crowley off doing whatever, and Rich and Anna waiting for both, there was actually enough time for Aryn to see if she forgot anything.
"I know I'm missing somethin'.... what am I missing?" she muttered, shuffling through her bag.
Mrow!
Aryn looked up and over at the source of the mrow. A big, fluffy, orange cat had been trotting carrying a familiar little kitten with it.
"Oh yeah! Kitty, c'mere kitty! Kitty kitty kitty!" she called, waving her arms at it. The tiny, black furball wiggled about in the larger cat's mouth until it dropped him. After landing on the ground with nary a sound, the meek little thing trotted up to it's owner, making little squeaks as it went.
Aryn hopped off the bench, crouching down and picking it up. "There you are, why aren't you with Jake? He was s'pose to take care of you...c'mon kitty, in the bag!" she said, scratching his chin and placing him in the bag.
"Oh hey, did you ever ask mom and dad if you could keep 'im?" Jimmy asked watching them.
"Pfft, no. Seriously, it's the end of the world. They can't possibly tell me no. If they do, I'll guilt trip them about growin' up in the end of the world and how I'm lonely and how I don't have much..." she told him, looking down at the cat in her bag.
"Oh, yeah, nice...you're such a good person," Jimmy said, shaking his head.
"I know it."
"Ah there you are my feline companion," came a familiar voice through the air. The orange cat had turned tail and began running upto the strange man from the other day. Aryn and Jimmy both looked up and over to see him.
"Oh hey! Hi, Mr. Algalari!" Aryn called out, waving.
"Hello child," the man said, picking up his cat and cradling it in his arms. "I see my little Kat brought you what you lost, hmm?"
Aryn looked at her black kitten again and smiled. "Yep, small world, huh? I didn't know you guys had a cat. She's very pretty," she said, looking at the orange cat.
"Oh yes, she just has that magic that gives her coat such fluff. I've had her for ages, little thing," he said, smiling and scratching his cat's neck. The orange tabby purred and blinked slowly.
"Well feedin' her well and brushing her alot tends ta really make a pet look nice," she responded, wondering if she should start brushing the kitty's fur.
"Oh I bet she'd like that, wouldn't you?" the man said looking down at his tabby's face. "So I hear you're leaving soon. Such a shame, you should bring your parents by the stall before you go, I'm sure Cina would love to meet them," he told them, smiling softly and walking off.
Aryn watched him go and frowned. She wasn't sure if they were gonna come back to the airport or not after the trip to Vegas. "I dunno if we can, but if we come back, I'll take them to meet you guys!" she called out, a little sadly.
Jimmy stood up and walked over to his sister, placing a hand on her head. "It's alright. Maybe we'll cross paths with them again sometime in the future," he told her, smiling.
"Well, they kept sayin' they always pop up somewhere new. I guess there's a chance. I hope there is," she responded, smiling a little.

Eventually, the Holdens and Roger had gotten themselves situated on the plane. Rich and Anna had sat next to eachother in the middle of the left row while their children sat behind them, plugged into various music players and handheld gaming consoles.
Roger had been seated in the handicap reserved seat.
Walking into the aisle of seats, Allison had bumped into one of the seats, thanks to the hefty things she'd been bringing onboard with her. Her weapons bag, a clothing bag and what looked like another riot shield.
When she'd made her way over to Roger, she'd seated herself next to him and handed him the shield. "Here, got you a new one," she told him, sliding the bags off of her shoulders and dropping them down.
"Oh neat, thanks," Roger said, taking the shield and planting it next to him. "Where'd you find one of these at an airport?"
She'd sighed and laid her head back, staring upward for a moment. "Well, I went to multiple trading stalls but no one had one. Then when I was on the way back to the terminal, that woman that gave you the rings stopped me and asked me what I was looking for. When I told her, she so happened to have one," she said, thinking back.
"Well that was nice of her, and pretty lucky too, right?"
"It was, yeah," she said, her gaze drifting off to Aryn who was moving around and waving an arm in the air. "What the hell kind of dance is that?" she asked.
"The best kind!" Anna said, peeking over her seat at her daughter and smiling widely. Aryn continued swaying side to side in her seat, earplugs in her ears and her 3DS in her grasp.
'Heeey, sexay lay-deh! Oh! Oh oh oh! Gangnam Style!" Aryn sung outloud.
"Ah crap, I thought I deleted that?" Jimmy cringed, glaring down at Aryn.
"WHAT? SORRY! I CAN'T! WHAT?" Aryn screamed out loud, squinting an eye at Jimmy.

"Man, I hate flying, my ears are gonna pop like a thousand times," Rich groaned to his wife as they settled in.
"I hate those stupid little bags of peanuts. Opening them is an impossible task," she whined back.
"I hate that I can't kick anyone's seat," Aryn added.
"I hate sitting next to kids that hate not being able to kick other people's seats," Jimmy spoke up.
"Well at least we can hate together as a family," Rich said looking back at his kids.
"I hate this," Jimmy said, going back to his game.
"Show those redcoats who's boss Jimbo," his father called back to him.
"I would if Aveline wasn't busy flaunting her lady parts, not that I'm complaining, but she's the worst assassin," he told him, groaning.
"She's not the worst Assassin ever, da Crowleys is," Anna piped in, looking around her seat to see the merc shooting a glare at her.
"Well, in other news, I guess if the plane goes down, we all know who to cast judgement upon first," Crowley told them, looking at Anna.
"Who?" Roger asked.
"Mom."
"My mom."
"Anna," Allison said after they did.
"I don't get it, why would she bring the plane down?" Roger asked innocently. Allison chuckled a little and looked over at him.
"She's been in...atleast....four helicopter crashes the passed year," she told him.
"Wow, four? And she's still alive?" he asked somewhat incredulous.
"Nothin' can kill me," Anna said from her seat. "Noooothiiiiing....." she said, mock mysteriously.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your heavily armed flight attendant speaking. We'll be taking off soon, so buckle up and sit tight or you'll be doing somesaults and vomitting all over the back of the cabin. Thank you."

"Challenge accepted," Anna said, undoing her belt.
"Anna sit down and put your damn seatbelt back on!" Allison yelled.
"Okay, MOM....f*ckin' b*tch..." the redhead muttered, strapping herself back into the seat and crossing her arms. "This entire flight's gonna suck," she told Rich, grumbling some more.
"Probably," he grumbled back.
After a while, the plane had began to move forward on the runway, forcing the passengers to fall back in their seats a little. As it did, there'd been something moving across Allison's feet. Looking down, she'd seen what looked like a small black cat.
"Where'd you come from...?" she muttered, reaching down to pick it up. When she did, it'd looked up at her, purring and nudging it's head into her palm. It'd squeaked out some meows, both ears flicking back and fourth, probably from the ear popping.
"It's alright, shh..." she cooed it, scratching under it's chin. "I think we have a stowaway," she told Roger, still petting the cat.
"Aww, how that get in here?" Roger asked, reaching his hand over to scratch it's head. The kitten shut it's eyes and pushed it's head under Roger's palm, purring a little.
The merc smiled down at it and scratched under it's belly. "I'm not sure, might be one of the mercenary's pets....heh, he's very affectionate," she commented, stifling a giggle. She always had a weak spot for animals, particularly cats.
"He's not a mercenary's, he's mine. I found 'im in Raccoon City. He was all by himself and really hungry. So I fed him and he followed me around...so I kept him," Aryn chimed in, looking at them from around her seat. "You can hold him for awhile if ya want, he's a good kitty."

"Okay, ladies and gents, you are free to move about the cabin. In order to discourage you from doing that we have a special film presentation for you all. A real all time classic,"[/b] a merc called over the intercom.
"And now, Under Siege Two: Dark Territory."
The lights dimmed and a screen at the far end of the cabin lit up with a movie running.
"Oh man I can tell this is gonna be a good one," Rich whispered over to Anna.
"I used to tell people I was related to Steven Seagal when I was a kid," she whispered back, anxiously.
. . . . .
Rich and Anna sat with pillows around their necks, crunching down chips and soda while watching the film attentively.
"What are you doing?"
"What am I doing? Oh, I'm making a bomb."
"How have we not seen this before?" Rich whispered, holding up a chip with his mouth agape.
"Casey f*cking Ryback..." Anna chuckled, taking a swig of soda.
"How did he destroy a plane with a satelite that makes earthquakes?" Roger asked Allison in the other aisle.
"I don't...I don't even know..." she said, a little irritated. She'd looked down at the kitty and started to scratch it's ears.
"I-Is that a blue shell? It is! How'd you get triple mushrooms so soon? You little bastard!" Jimmy whisper-yelled, staring down at his screen in awe.
"Heh heh heh...." the little girl chuckled, looking down at her screen as well.
"I ASSUMED he was DEAD!"
"Assumption is the MOTHER of all f*ck ups!"
"Naw man, you ain't never killin' Casey f*ckin' Ryback, nu-uh," Rich muttered shaking his head back and forth.
[The group has now left the Raccoon City Airport]
