The high class settlements, it'd be no surprise if the rich people living here didn't even know about the outbreak going on deeper in the city; and if they did then it's doubtful they'd care all that much. The security here was developed by Eden corp. so pretty much nothing goes in even if you were living on the inside and you wanted it to. The only thing you'll see in the streets is the odd zombie, that's about it, otherwise the only life comes from the street lights, which have begun to flicker a lot for some reason. Regardless, if you come this way for shelter, then you better be damn persuasive to get in; and try not to drag any zombies along with you, the people living here would prefer it if the area stayed the way it is.

Xanthira looked around the street. Everything looked normal like a sleeping little neighborhood, but she knew that it was far from the truth. When she had ditched that every growing pain of a retired cop at the airport she felt a bit more secure being away from the population. Only the Lord knew that every time she was in public trouble seemed to find her. She just had one of those faces, granted her face was on the wanted posters of several states, and several countries. She snickered slightly as she looked at the homes that lined the street.
Nice large homes that pawning some of their stuff wouldn't get her into trouble, and would make her a decent wad of cash. She finally set her eyes on a three story brick building with what she could assume to be three chimney stacks. A know dead walkway of plants lined the side walks, and off to the corner a small water fountain. "Classy," she mumbled as she made her way up the path. Her eyes darting from time to time. She didn't have to worry about the law out here really, but what she had to do was worry about other scavengers. They could be deadly and ruthless. Though she carried weapons, she wasn't one to actually use them.
She sighed a bit at the thought of Russia. She had lost her best friend and mentor out there, and ended up in prison because of her inability to fire a gun. One simple pull of the trigger and he would have still be alive. She shook the thought out of her head as she opened the door, her hand absently reaching for the locket hidden beneath her shirt. Her eyes darted around the darkly colored room, as she moved further in searching carefully. All the good stuff would be upstairs, but it never hurt to fully search the house.

Trevor shuttered as he heard the door open up. He went for his pistol only to remember he wasn't able to make it work for some reason. It was given to him as a last ditch effort from the captain of his guard team before they were taken out a few days ago. He had kept hidden hoping for evacuation but was un-able to radio Sypher-Tech. And now it appeared that the zombies had found him. He had seen enough movies that he knew not to go upstairs. Tightening his fists and swallowing hard he decided to take action.
Creeping through the house he soon found himself in the kitchen when he heard the creature shuffling towards the door. In a panic he grabbed the nearest thing which was a bag of flour and as soon as the door swung open he yelled out hitting the zombie in the head as the bag exploded with a cloud of white. He stepped back when he noticed the target didn't go down. Looking around for a better weapon he found a knife and went through the closest door which lead into the pantry. Hitting the wall the shelves collapsed dropping the contents ontop of him before being knocked cold by a can of peas.

Xanthira grunted as the bag of flower hit her head and busted everywhere. She may not have went down, but it sure hurt like hell to be hit over the head. She was dazed for a moment until her own senses came back to hear the noise coming from the pantry in the room. She sighed a bit, at first she thought it was one of those walkers, but those things lacked the knowledge to use weapons against human beings let alone run. She shook her head letting some of the flower fall from her head, she brushed off her shoulder, and whipped off her face trying her best to bring back some of her natural color. "Great, now I need a bath," she moaned.
She moved toward the pantry reaching out for the door handle and paused. What if he was armed, and she wasn't. That in all aspects would have been bad for her, but if he was armed then he wouldn't have hit her over the head with a bag of flower. Shaking her head again, she pulled out her gun, and held it at the ready. She wasn't going to use it. Lord knew well enough of that one. She twisted the handle expecting someone to bust through on her, but no one did. In fact she was surprised to see the individual passed out on the floor, and covered from the supplies stored in the room.
It took her a while to move him from the pantry to the living room sofa, mostly for the fact that she was confused about her actions, and many times she had left him laying on the ground before deciding against it. There was only one other person that she as ever close to and after him she didn't have very good people skills. It made her a bit weary when she thought about being around another human being for social or survival purposes. She was a thief, and stealing was her life not socializing or anything else. Though once he was on the sofa she felt a bit better.
She felt his head, figuring that something had hit him to render him unconscious. She felt a bit of blood, and a rather nasty knot on the side of his head. "We'll that's going to hurt when he wakes up," she mumbled as she moved to the kitchen trying to find a rag and water. She was surprised that she was successful in her effort, and came up with a couple bottles. She set one on the table, with an out of date aspirin, and used the other to stop the blood flow. When it stopped bleeding she used a clean rag to wet it down and drape it across his forehead.
She had remembered hitting her head bad enough one time, that her mentor had done the same thing. Said it eases the headache when the person wakes. It that was true then she really didn't want to wake up without it, because she thought she was going to pass out from the headache when she woke up. Xanthira shook the thought from her head, and sat back in another chair and waited for her attacker to wake up on his own.

Trevors vision slowly came back to him as did the pain in his head. "Ow...." he muttered he then touched his head and regretted it. "Ow ow ow..." He said cringing. Looking up blankly through his good eye he looked up at the ceiling. "Not dead. Huh, how about that." He then started putting two and two together and came to the conclusion that the last missing member of the team had come back. "I'm so glad you came back Bret. Sorry about the flower." Looking over he saw that the person he thought was there was a ****ed off woman instead. "Oh...not Bret. Still, sorry about my little colenary attack. Can't be to careful." He then sat up and rubbed his neck. Trevor was an odd sight. He wore a hawian shirt with a buisness tie and jean shorts revealing large combat boots. His hair was black and frazzled and wore well fashioned glasses but refused to open his left eye. "Sorry, I was hoping one of my team had come back. My name is Trevor with Shypher Technologies. I took shelter here after my team was caught off guard by this giant humanoid creature. I was hiding here waiting for an evac chopper or something when you gave me a scare." He was somewhat nervous when she refused to smile. In an attempt to ease things he smiled wide. "No need to worry. I'm completely harmless unless you want to challenge my Pacman record." He then became serious again. "So, who are you with? BSAA, CDC? You don't look military."

Xanthira watched the man as he woke from his unwanted slumber. She didn't smile and remained silent as she listened to him speak. She had never heard of Shypher Technologies before, but she had learned that the word Technologies behind a business name always meant business in one way or another. This man sitting on the sofa may be a free meal for quite some time if she learned to play her cards right, but she didn't have the full deck yet so she had to wait.
She studied Trevor as he spoke watching each of his moves. No more a lab rat than a soldier himself. She wondered if he ventured out into the field often with the way he acted. She sighed knowing she might as well answer him, but she had to be careful because she didn't have her full story planned out yet. Though what better story than a partial truth. "Not a soldier," she spoke a bit more harshly than she wanted. She flipped a strand of white hair from her face. Her hair was multi colored with dark brown being the main color than a bit of blond with a good amount of white through out it.
"In fact I'm just a traveler. Like the ocean anything within Raccoon City is free game. I come here looking to make a bit of money," she pointed out. "It was the truth, but not entirely the truth. "Name is Xan. Just Xan no last name gave that up a long time ago when my parents died," she pointed out. She looked him over letting her eyes study his features a bit more. "I seen no indication of a chopper in the vacenity, and I came from the airport. It didn't seem like any of them were mounting up a rescue mission." She paused in thought as she looked around the room. "So how long were you planning on staying here. Not like you could live here for the rest of your life. Do they even know your missing?"

He then pulled out his satalite phone and tried dialing it in again. "I don't think I'm getting a signal. That or this thing broke while I was running for my life." He then continued to dust himself off. "You know. Maybe we can help eachother. I know the checkpoints to get into the city are strict. Either you came in over the mountain or you had to pass the strict checkpoints at the airport. You probably had to pass for some kinda expert or government officials." He pointed out the window. "It's easy enough to get in but getting contraband out is another story. I think we could help eachother out." Pulling out his PDA he showed the map of the area. "I'm taking core samples in these area. All areas have equipment that were dropped via helecopter. After I do my job I could show you what's worth a pretty penny. The company was just going to leave it sit. Too much hassle to take it back but altogether the pieces might come close to 750,000. Not to mention what you find in the houses we pass." He then went to the window.
"Now that I think about it it might be better, just a two person team. Those camando's were too loud. Drew too much attention. We don't have enough equipment but I remember where the gould overturned our convoy. We had medical supplies, anti-virus meds and a stock-pile of fire-arms and equipment. You could probably get good money selling some of the gear too." He then turned to her with a smile. So what you want to do? Keep wandering mindlessly through houses or go to locations where you know the Good money is! I can make you rich, and you can help me keep my job, possibly land in a less dangerous line of work. Something behind the desk with a hot secretary." He said lifting his head dreaming.

Xanthira's mind wondered off to another path when Trevor mentioned picking up core samples. She was thinking of how much money she could get off of those samples alone, saleing them on the black market, or even better to a few heads of said countries would make her life set. She turned to look at Trevor as he stood by the window. Nothing she could bring out of here would set her off as much as what he would bring out of here. Forget about his job it wasn't anything to her, everyone was just another tool in her arsenal. He had taught her that much. She felt a stinging pain of guilt in her heart as she thought about his absence, and then quickly shook it off.
"Sounds good," she spoke lightly. Her eyes on the ground as she thought ahead of everything to the final moments when she would take the core samples from him. "Get your samples, get my money, and then get you to the airport. That would be your best bet in getting out of here." The airport was probably her best bet in getting what she wanted from him. The over crowded area would make it easy for her to escape with what she wanted, probably head back out into the city and escape back over the mountain like he had mentioned coming in. That was probably her best means of escape since booking a flight would be much harder. "So do you have a time frame on when you wanted to get started," she asked finally looking up at him.

He looked at the ceiling. "Ah...well..." He trailed off. "Well, I don't know if you noticed but three tyrants boxed me in here. I don't know if they might still be waiting. He then went to the window and began tracing it. "They were fast and presice. If they are still out there we won't make it on foot. But if you got in then maybe they're gone." He then turned around putting a pen in his teeth. "But maybe they followed you back here. He then walked up to the flour covered room.
There's a four wheeler in the garage. Right now it's not going anywhere. I can't find the keys and some of the wiring seems to be shot. It's got no gas but with some of the chemicals in this kitchen I can brew something up for a small trip." He then spun around. "That's all I got bright eyes. It's not much but it's more than nothing. I could also make an acid that could burn through the safe on the second floor if you gave me enough time but I'm not sure if we should risk it."

Xan climbed to her feet and stretched her arms. The safe's that were located in homes were no problem to her, they were actually more of a child's toy to her. She looked at Trevor and nodded slightly. "Tell you what," she said as she walked to the window. "I didn't see anything on my way in, but you may be right. You work on your chemicels, and I'll see if I can scrounge around the room to find the password to the safe. If there anything like me they have issues remembering their passwords and have to keep it written down somewhere. If not, well lets hope that tv taught me something bad for a change," she said with a chuckle.
She turned back to face him before heading toward the stairs. "Any trouble come up the stairs, we should be able to get out of the house through the windows. I'll work on the four wheeler when and if I can get that safe open. Either way it goes we should try to get it going." She headed up the stairs and to the room. "Don't mind the noise," she shouted down the stairs. She had to make noise, make it sound like she was looking for the combination. So as she walked down the hall she pulled out the drawers on the side table letting the contents hit the floor. After a moment she dropped them to the floor, and continued to make noise as she supposably searched for the combination.
In the room she searched out the safe finding it in a moment's time. It was a key and combination lock. "We'll this is pathetically easy," she moaned as she reached down into her boot. In a moment's time she produced a small leather case, and opening it up to several different tools. It took her no time to crack the combination lock and open the safe. Inside was two small handguns, a stack of money which she quickly pocketed, several bonds which would do her no good, and the keys she was looking for. Grabbing the keys she made her way threw the bedroom destroying it as she did the hallway. She wanted to make sure if Trevor made his way up the stairs it looked like she had searched long and hard.
She made her way down the stairs waving the keys in the air as she walked into the kitchen. "Found the combination. The upstairs is a mess though. Becareful when you walk up there. The safe had two weapons, some bondsheets, and a stack of cash. I took the cash just in case we head back to the airport. There still making people pay for stuff there," she said as she headed for the garage. "I'll leave the door leading into the garage open. I'm going to go ahead and work on the four wheeler." With that she disappeared into the garage.

"You didn't take the guns?" He asked. "I know they arnt worth much and won't compare to the firepower we'll find on the hummer but I can't handle heavy weapons." Pouring more liquid and looking at the measurments with his good eye a bit of steam came off. "I'll just go get them when I'm done." It took him a few hours but he soon came out with a bucket of liquid. "Grat thing about these big houses is they like to deep fry and have large grills for the cooks. I syphened off the grease and oil, added some things so it should do the job." He then began pouring the mixture into the tank. He saw her look of worry and he smiled. "Trust me, this is going to work great! cooking grease could power the nations cars....but then we'd all be fat." He then began working out the computation on his fingers. And then we would need more gas to move heavier people. It would be a vicious cycle." He then spotted the two new guns. "Oh...hmm." One pistol was a small 9mm with a small clip size, the other similar looking but bigger barrel and clip size. An auto-mag capable of full auto. "Neat. Did you look for the ammo?" He asked her. She was silent "Cause they usually hide it seperate from the gun. Like in the desks and drawers you threw around." He sighed sliding down the wall and onto the ground. "Oh well, I'll do a search in a moment. We should wait till morning to head out unless you have any objections. Maybe its just me but it sounds like the safe idea."

Xanthira looked around studying the garage for a bit and then nodded. "Yeah that probably would be for the best," she said as they made their way back into the main portion of the home. Her eyes fell on the flower that still littered the floor, and thought about her snow flowered head. "Wonder if the water still works," she mumbled to herself. She walked over to the sink and turned the nobs only to get nothing from the faucite. "Fantastic," she groaned. Shaking her head she shook out her hair again. "Alright. One your going to have to forgive me. I don't usually try to spend the night in a city over grown with the walking dead. In fact I was in a way hoping to be out of town by sundown, but that went out the window a while back. And two I didn't see any spare clips up in the room they may be else where. Probably try to find them when we pull out some bedding supplies to sleep on," she pointed out.

walking in he snapped his fingers and shook his hips. "If it's a pool party you want just ask and you shall recieve." He then went back under the sink pulling out multicolored jugs and bottles. "This place has water, it just has no pressure. to get the water to flow again you just need to apply the proper ammound of force." Pouring some of the liquid into a small glass vial he also took some powder from his own pack. After it was all in he sealed and shook it turning it a swirl of green an blue. He looked back with a smile.
"Ever throw a cherrybomb down a toilet before? Same basic principal." From his bag he took a strange looking metal gun similar to a nail gun. "This is used to gather basic core samples." He then twisted a cap and their was a hiss. "Take off the safety. insert the pressure bomb." He then aimed it down the sink, pulled the trigger and there was a hiss and a thunk. Ten seconds later the whole house sounded like the walls were shuttering only to stop briefly. Smiling he went to the faucet and turned on the water. "Never doubt the magic man." He walked up with a mo9re serious look on his face. Should be enough for...ONE shower." He then shot her a smile. "So...you the bashful type?"

Xanthira looked at Trevor with a bit of curiosity. She looked around the room, before looking back at him. "I guess we could share," she said lightly. She had shared showers before, and in Russia it was no different there. Though with her mentor it was different, and here at least she didn't have to watch her back like in Russia. She sighed a bit and nodded toward him. "Alright, we could share as long as you don't try to pull anything funny." She moved past him, and toward the hall way. "The bathroom upstairs looked like it had the larger shower. Well if your going to take that shower and clean up you better hurry," she said as she headed up the stairs.

Trevor looked at her strangley. "Um...what?" He then laughed to himself. "I was just joking. Go get cleaned up. I'll take a look around for more supplies or secure the entrances." He then put his backpack down and began to rummage through it. "But before that, I get to use some water for more important reasons." He then pulled out a mr. coffee. "Never leave home without it." With that said he went to the sink and began filling up the catcher. Once everything was ready he made his way up the staircase. After entering the first bedroom he instantly noticed the mess Xan had caused.
"Dang, if I didn't know any better I'd swear she just felt like throwing stuff around." He then saw a vase. With a single push of his finder it fell to the floor and shattered. He smiled. "Therapudic." Finding a fashionable cane he began pushing aside the fallen debri in search of anything remotely useful. However, as he was leaving he noticed a series of letter openers on display. Picking one up he noticed they fit perfectly into the core slots on his vest. Taking three he slid them into place and flexed into a nearby mirror. "I Vill kill you all." He said in an Arnold type voice after which he smiled and moved out of the room.
Next was a master bedroom. Thisone seemed untouched by Xan's rampage. On the coathanger was a brown overcoat and a hat. Being his childish self her put them on only to spot a box of cigars. "Sweet!" He went over and put one in his teeth and began searching the room picturing himself as a young 'Comumbo'. Searching the room originally seemed fruitless until he found two lockboxes beneath the matress. "I think I know someone you two should meet." Before leaving the room he put the hat and coat back. For a moment he thought about sleeping here but the area Xan had set up would keep them in the same roome adding to their safety.
After a quick check of the doors he made his way into the makeshift bedroom. He instantly pulled out his laptop. After opening it he was immediately met with the photo of his six year old daughter on the wallpaper. He couldn't help but sigh. "Don't worry kiddo." He then raised his hand looking at his tanned ringfinger. "After this I'm coming for you." With that said he did some analyzing of the core samples collected so far until he fell asleep while waiting for results.
