Anna drug the woman away from the entrance and rolled her over to another aisle. The woman wiggled around, yelling and threatening the former cop. Anna brushed her off and grabbed a roll of duct tape, ripping a piece off and slapping it against her mouth.
"Now that, that's dealt with..." She sighed and grabbed a few more rolls of tape, sticking them in her pouch. She grabbed another coil of rope and slung it over her shoulder in case they'd hafta take care of more psychos.
She jogged over to where Arc was and took a quick look at the undead pressing themselves against the glass trying to get to them. She took in a deep breath before pulling out her iron pipe.
"We're gonna hafta take the fire escape outback. We'll go around the building and behind the crowd that's right here...huh..that gives me an idea..." Upon seeing the questioning look on Arc's face, Anna smirked and ran back to the aisle where the woman was.
She drug her back out and rolled her over to the front of the glass door. It was either her or them. The lady already messed up by trying to kill them so it was obvious who was gonna survive. The woman squirmed violently, muffled screams broke through her taped lips.
"Come on, Arc."

The woman stared at the mod of undead outside, and then looked back. She longed for them to change there mind, but was in no position to be asking for any. Arc stopped, and looked back at the woman, who just stared into his eyes, begging for forgiveness. She closed his eyes for a bit longer then a standard blink, and then made his back over to her. He crouched down on the ground, and then rolled the woman over onto her back, so he could get a better grip on the bondage. Arc placed both his hands on the knot, and then pulled it even tighter onto her wrists. "End of the road, chicka..." He winked at her with his left eye, and then stood up near the door. He unlocked it, making it easier for the zombies to get inside.
Arc turned back toward the woman, and then smirked at her before quickly limping back to catch up with Anna. As he made his to the emergency exit, he saw Anna going through, and followed her close behind. As they made their was through the exit, he heard the loud crash of the front doors opening up, and then the screaming of the woman. But that, covered by the sound of ripping flesh, didnt last long after the sound dissapeard when Arc closed the doors tightly behind him. "May be beaten and scared, but at least we didnt leave empty handed... Where to next?"

Anna threw the man a quick grin as they managed to make it into the SUV. As they started up the vehicle, Anna pulled out two rolls of tape and passed them to Arc.
"Start duct taping the crack on your side. It's all we've got for now. As for where we're heading...I want to check out the RPD...I...I hafta see if I can find someone. Besides, we may be able to find your Jess hanging around. Or any file on her whereabouts."
With that, Anna and Arc were on their way to Raccoon City's Police Department.

Shane and Katherine carefully approached the BuildiT Hardware store, hiding behind the preceding street corner before making their way out onto the street. On spotting a ghoul lingering outside the entrance, Shane pulled out his revolver, firing a shot at the creature. The bullet flew true, slamming into the back of the thing's head as it turned, sending it back and into the front of the building. The two crossed the street quickly, reaching the front of the hardware store without further incident. Ducking down behind a nearby car, wrecked of course, with Katherine, Shane peered over the front to see into the store, pocketing his gun in favor of the bat. Once again, there didn't seem to be any creatures inside, but the pharmacy had taught him better than to assume. He turned to Katherine, speaking as quietly as he could without being inaudible. "You said you saw them last around here right? Then the first place to look would be the store. You ready?"

Katherine nodded eagerly, gripping her rifle tightly in her grasp before following after the man. Asthey approached, she noticed the entire front side was locked with a chained gate. Inside there was a woman tied up, squirming around. "Shane look...There's someone in there..." she said, pressing her palms against the glass windows.
As the two walked around the store, they encountered yet another exit, except this one wasn't locked, but badly banged up. As the two pressed on further inside, Katherine cautiously looked around before running ahead towards the woman's struggling figure. She appeared to be alive, but she had dried blood on her face and bruises.
Taking the tape off hre mouth she frowned. "Are you alright, ma'am?"she asked, worriedly. The woman coughed violently and squirmed around more. "Help me! Untie me before those things get back! Please! I beg you!"
((Heh heh, carryin' on from what happened with my other character and my RP partner. They had tied her up cause she was nutzo and tryin to kill them.))

Shane was wary. Something was not quite right here. Ghouls weren't smart. They ate, hunted and killed. That was it. Tying people up was not quite within their skill set. Someone had tied her up. He thought for a moment. There was a chance she was insane, but he couldn't just leave her to be eaten. Shane shuddered at the thought. Even a crazy person didn't deserve that. Shane walked over, examining the back of the chair. The knots were ridiculous tight there was no way he'd be able to untie them with his hands. "We should let her go Katherine. You stay here with her. I'm going to go find something to cut these ropes with; there must be a saw blade or something around here. Shane tightened his grip on the bat, looking around at the displays hanging from the ceiling, displaying the aisles and their contents. "Now let's see, drills, hammers, nails and tacks, saws!" Cautious, Shane advanced down the aisle, beginning his search for a suitable blade.

Katherine nodded and knelt down infront of the woman. "Why would someone do this to you..?" she asked of the woman. The woman's eyes filled with tears before she replied, "There were these two crazy people! Th-they tried to kill me! I tried fighting back but they just were too tough for me! They tied me up and left me to die with those things outside!"
Katherine frowned at her, trying to figure out what to say. "What did they look like?" she wondered aloud. The woman sniffled.
"One was a tall, columbian man. He looked like some kind of derranged soldier...The other was just some woman with red hair and brown eyes...kind of like yours..."
Kinda like mine...?
"Sh-she held a shotgun on me and hit me in the face with the butt of it...I tried to get away but..."
"Was that woman about an inch or so taller than me? Ponytail, black shirt and jeans? A big scar on the side of her cheek?" Katherine asked, wondering if it was indeed who she thought it was.
The woman's eyes narrowed at the description, her teeth gritting sharply. Katherine raised an eyebrow. "Anna was here...My cousin was around here, she must've came back for that Richard man. I don't think she attacked you the way you said she did.." Katherine said lowly.
"What the f**k are you talking about?! I'm not lying! You're lying! Let me go right now! RIGHT NOW! LET ME f**kING GO! LET ME GO! LET ME GOOO!!"
Katherine stumbled back, nearly tripping on her own two feet. The woman was going beserk now, screaming and howling like a mad woman. "Shane! We have to go before she attracts something!"

Shane wasn't moving. Not even an inch. At the end of the aisle was a zombie, blood dripping down the front of his shirt from an enormous gash on his neck. He could have killed it, but he didn't want to waste any ammo. The thing would probably move on soon anyway, chances are it couldn't see him if he didn't move. He concentrated on remaining silent, moving backwards slowly trying to avoid broken items that would make noise. "What the f**k are you talking about?! I'm not lying! You're lying! Let me go right now! RIGHT NOW! LET ME f**kING GO! LET ME GO! LET ME GOOO!!" Shane slapped a hand against his forehead, muttering to himself. "My god you have got to be kidding me!"' It was no longer necessary to be quiet, particularly because the zombie, along with a friend, had noticed him, and were coming towards him, snarls on his face. "Awww d*** it come on!" He rose to a crouch, pulling his gun and firing a shot into the first's head before the other fell on him. "Crud!" They rolled for a moment, several times Shane pulling his neck away before the thing could bite it. After a moment of struggling, Shane rolled out from underneath the zombie, swinging a blow with the bat. The bat swung and caught the creature under its chin, sending it back into a display of saw blades (of course he would find them now), one of which pierced the creature's chest. Shane dashed forwards, slamming the bat down on its head. The creature stopped moving, and blood from the chest wound spurted up, spattering his shirt. Only now did he realize that Katherine had been calling him. He retrieved his dropped gun and he rushed back to her to find the woman in the chair thrashing about like a mad person, and Katherine looking quite disturbed. "What the hell happened?" he asked. "I should have known she was nuts."

Katherine kept her eyes on the woman who squirmed and yelledfrom the top of her lungs. "Let me go! Let me go! Right now! Grrrr don't ignore me! Stop ignoring me! Tell them to letus go! I did! She won't let us go! Make her let us go! Let us go!"she spat, sweating heavily as she glared daggers at Katherine and Shane.
"Who's she talking about? Us who?!" Katherine asked, backing away. She felt bad for the woman. She must've been schitzophrenic if she was referring to her thoughts as a valid being. Not sure whether it was safe to untie her, the woman frowned and looked around frantically, incase anything was lurking around the store.
"Let her loose...I'll keep the gun on her..." Katherine said, meekly.

"Uh...but she's....oh hell you're right." Shane dashed back to the hallway, sorting through the saws and blades spilled on the ground, until he found a hack saw lying on the ground next to the ghoul that he had slain. He ran back, standing next to Katherine for a moment before looking the crazed woman in the eyes. "Listen to me carefully. I'm going to untie you. I need you to hold still for a second so that I can saw through the ropes ok? So please try to calm down, so I can cut the ropes without hurting you." With that he moved behind the chair, sawing through the ropes until the woman was free to move on her own. Before she could move he stood back, keeping a hand on the holster of his gun just in case.

The woman rubbed her wrists rapidly and smiled widely, taking a breath of relief. Before long, she glanced over at Katherine and scowled. "Just because you let me loose doesn't mean I forgive you. So please, just go away and don't come back."
Katherine sighed sadly and lowered her weapon. "Um,alright...but please atleast answer me this, have you seen a man about early thirties, tall, messy brown hair and police uniform running about with a small girl by any chance...?"
The woman stood to her feet and started shuffling away into an unknown aisle. "No! Now go away!"
Katherine lowered her head and rubbed at her eyes. "John..." she muttered.

Shane stood warily as the woman shuffled off past him down an aisle, watching as Katherine looked down, rubbing her eyes. He felt bad for her. He had had a family one time, his father and mother, but his mother hadn't survived the original outbreak, and his father....well he didn't have a father as far he was concerned. Still, he knew what it was like to lose a family member, but at least he had known she was dead. He couldn't imagine what it was like not to know where a loved one was, especially in this hell. Shane looked down, as well, before bringing his gaze back up to Katherine's. He crossed the distance between them, haltingly putting a hand on her shoulder for a second. Really, it was all he could think of to try and help. "Don't worry. We'll find them; I'll make sure of it." He removed his hand and looked around for a moment, wondering absently if there were any more zombies nearby. "Come on chin up. Alright, now do you have any idea where they could have gone from here? They probably haven't left the city, especially since the gate's baring the only quick way out."

Katherine sighed inwardly, brushing away a few tears that trailed down her cheeks. "I don't know...Maybe somewhere to search for food and a place to rest...He has our little girl with him so he has her at the top or his priority list.."
It was then, Katherine had a good idea of where to look now. Everything she described seemed alot like the Apple Inn. Smiling a bit she lookedout toward the city streets. "The Apple Inn. Maybe they're there."

"Yeah, that makes sense. We'll head there next. Come on let's go." Shane paused for a moment, listening closely. There was a sound in the silence of the store. A wet, smacking sound, followed by a skittering sound, feet on the tile of the floor. Shane listened again, but it was gone...as if the originator had disappeared into thin air. After a moment he shook his head, putting the thought aside. Surely it was just his nerves, warning of a danger that did not, could not exist. Shane shook it again, driving the thought from his mind. They had to keep moving. He began leading Katherine towards the back of the store, towards the emergency exit. Chances are there wouldn't be very many at the back, and it would let them get onto the street without being detected. He never made it past the second aisle. Just as he passed, a tongue, unbelievably strong, wrapped around his throat, cutting off his air. Shane struggled for a moment, gagging and gasping before he could get the bat up, with the best swing he could muster, he whacked at the tongue as best he could, but it didn't seem to have any effect, and the tongue whipped back, sending him into the display window of the store. Thankfully the glass cracked but did not break, and Shane slumped, breathing in sharply as air reentered his lungs. He tried to rise but fell back, breathing heavily. He grunted. "R-run!" he called, but too late. At that moment the assailant, a licker, rounded the corner, saliva dripping from its gaping maw. Seeing that its original prey was now incapacitated and for the time being defenseless, it turned its attentions to the girl, snarling menacingly.

Katherine gasped and tried pulling the trigger of her rifle, only to find it empty. Before she could check for more in her bag, the thing screeched and lunged at the poor woman. "AH!" she screamed, jumping aside and rolling along the ground. She winced and looked back at it slowly to see it was crawling towards her, it's tongue floating around.
Glancing over she noticed some fallen debris from the ceiling. Like cement or something. Reaching over to it, she picked it up and chucked it at the thing, nailing it on the left hemisphere of it's brain. It screeched loudly, stunned momentarily.
Grabbing another piece she threw it as hard as she could, smacking against it's brain once more. Trying to grab another piece, the creature raised it's giant claws and pounced at her, slashing viciously at the woman. Katherine covered her head, expecting to be ripped into threads. Fortunately another chunk of cement smacked it in the face, forcing it back. Katherine slowly lowered her guard, looking over to see that woman from earlier, throwing items off the shelves at it. She had run out of things to throw, panicking, she looked back, terrified of the thing.
Katherine scrambled up to her feet to try and help the woman away, but before she could, the monster leaped in the air, claws drawn back and before Katherine could interfere, it's claws swiped through her body like butter.
"NO!" Katherine screamed, watching in horror. She felt the sting of tears in her eyes as she watched the woman from earlier gurgling on her own blood before seizing to breathe altogether. The thing began skewering her innards as if playing with her corpse. Angered, Katherine looked over and picked up a large hunk of cement, breathing heavily and struggling a little.
Staggering towards the creature she slammed the giant piece of cement on top of it's cranium, smashing it's brain on contact.
