The largest military base around. Before the outbreak, locals weren't allowed to go onto there, but the zombies have taken over so there is no longer a wall separating the military from the locals. However, that might not be such a good thing anymore...

Daniel had been driving for hours down the same strech of highway, moving in and out of the parked or crashed vehicles on the road. He had met up with 2 seven ton trucks, as well as another humvee of marines. He had taken one aboard for the gunner position in his vehicle, and now they travelled in a convoy north. They had passed by the Marine base in San Diego. It had been a blood bath. San Diego was a recruiting facility. There were very few infantry marines there that could have rebelled a full scale attack from the undead.
The convoy moved north, knowing of the Naval Air base in Washington State that would probably be the most usefull. As it were, there wern't near as many survivors as Daniel would have thought. In fact, there were hardly any. It became difficult for the convoy to move through the town surrounding the military base, for most of it had been bombed during the infestation. The streets had very large potholes in them, and it was a miracle that they found a way to get to the main gates. It was only sheer luck that they found the little bridge that had been made by the remaining forces to allow trucks and supplies in.
They passed through the gate, and Daniel was glad to see that the guard didn't look too tired. In fact, he looked most alert. They must have more people than he first thought. They followed the road towards the main complex where they saw another guard. This one stopped them. Daniel's humvee was the first in the line, so he was addressed by the young man.
"S'cuse me Sergeant, but where are you comming from?" The man said, holding his M4 at the alert carry.
"29 Palms. The base was overrun a good bit ago. Not too many survivors. These behind me are some of them, we don't know about the others." Daniel replied.
"Jesus..."The man paused, then looked back to Daniel. "The people in the trucks have to be checked for the infection." He turned towards another guard and signalled him to approach. "Sergeant, this man will guide you to the inspection center. Do no try anything or you will be dealt with." The guard backed off. Looking forward, Daniel saw the second man, he looked to be Army, signalling him to follow. Daniel did as he was told, knowing that they were paranoid enough to shot him down for going just a little to fast.
***
The inspection center was huge. It was obvious that they didn't want any infected getting too far into the base. Daniel went through three different inspections, a blood test, and an MRI. Afterwards he went through an interogation. It seemed they wanted to know wether or not we were of any use to them. The whole process took a total of 6 hours. By the time they had finished, Daniel and the rest of the survivors were starving. There were led to the chow hall, all in one group and escorted by 3 military personel. It wasn't too long of a walk, and soon they were inside.
The chow hall was only for those being checked out, or so it seemed. There were guards posted throughout the building, looking as if one of them would turn and bite them if they let down teir guard. Looking around, Daniel saw a few more groups. He wondered where they had come from.
"Sergeant Brown."
Daniel turned his head, as did the others in his group. It was a Captain, navy by the looks of it. Daniel stood up in the position of attention, followed soon by the rest of the soldiers. Sam just sat there, watching in a bit of amusement. Even in the most distressed times, military protocol won over.
"Sergeant, if you would please come with me, we have things to discuss." Daniel looked to the others and nodded. He kissed Sam on the lips and looked to the others again.
"You watch her, I won't be too long." He said, turning towards the Captain.
***
The talk with the captain had taken longer than he had wanted, but he did fill in many of the holes that Daniel had been trying to figure out. When the attack was first iminent, the Naval Base started accepting civilians in to shield them from the attack. After the first attacks inside the base itself, they killed off those showing symptoms and bombed the town, very effectivly stopping most of the undead. The few that had survived were taken care of by the patrols.
It seemed that this base was one of a few that were supplying troops and suppplies to help with the fight against the undead. One of their partners was the base in the Arklay Mountains, just outside of Raccoon City. They had started to run low on men and resources, and he was to be transfered, along with the rest of his survivors.
Daniel approached his men and told them the situation. Their first reaction was relief, for they had all passed the inspections, but then they started discussing wether or not they wanted to help. Daniel was not in the mood for this, and he made it known.
"Look, what do you think is going to happen if we don't start fighting back. I don't want it being years before someone comes and saves us again. We have a chance to strike before too many people are killed and while they're still in low numbers. We need to take it." Not many argued the fact. They all decided it was time to go.
***
After a few days rest, they were allready to go. Even if they wern't though, the Navy wasn't about to ask. They were on the runway waiting on the C-130 to arrive. They would be taking one of the 7tons and the humvee. The 7ton was filled with supplies the the Arklay base needed, but they were only taking 4 marines other than himself. Sam was also going with them. They tried to say that she should stay there, where it was safer. He was not about to let her out of his sight if he didn't have to.
The C-130 pulled up and lowered it's ramps. Daniel started the humvee and drove it up the ramps. Once it was where it was designated, he put the humvee in park and got out. The crew was already strapping it to the plane. Daniel walked out of the hold, followed soon after by his marines. He foud himself a seat and started to strap in. He looked at Sam, giving her a nod of encouragement. She smiled back and grabbed hold of her hand, squeezing it lightly. He looked to the others as he felt the plane start to turn. It was time.

It has been 2 weeks since Viktor's parent's were killed by the Tyrant who has been attacking military bases. He has been following the attacks from sight to sight only to catch the sights of all the dead men and women who were at the base. Many of them were civilians looking for protection. Some luck they had with being protected. Some of the soldiers had time to open fire but weren't able to do any catastrophic damage to the Tyrant. Luck had come his way this time though. Viktor has a few tech buddies who can help him out. The vehicle that a blood trail leads to left a skid mark. Viktor called them up asking if they could identify a vehicle from it's skid marks. They could so he sent them a picture of the skid marks. It took them a few minutes but they matched it to an eighteen wheeler truck. They then pulled up surveillence footage of the truck and then looked for it on any of the working street cameras. It lead him here. *** The Tyrant stepped out of the back of the eighteen wheeler that had pulled up to the base. The soldiers were suspicious at first, then down right petrified. They started to open fire at the ten foot tall beast holding an M134. It turned on the soldiers and opened fire. Viktor was en route to the base via helicopter when the radio went berserk about the Tyrant. Many people talking at once asking for back up and help. Viktor was only about thirty seconds away, he was going to have to save a lot of people if the monster didn't work too fast. The monster was walking through the gate when Viktor landed on the helipad in the back of the base. He dismounted the helicopter and knodded his head hard enough to make his mask come down and protect his face. He knew this was going to be one hell of a fight. Viktor made his way to the beast as it continued it's distructive route through the base. The gun seemed to never run out of ammunition. The beast stopped firing for just a few seconds to reload and then continued to shoot. Viktor came around the corner of one of the buildings right in front of the monster for it to turn it's fire upon him. Viktor ran, keeping one step ahead of the shots, away from the Tyrant behind another building. He came out behind the beast to open fire on it's bare back. The Tyrant roared in pain as the bullets penitrated it's flesh. The M29 SAW was a very powerful weapon and the ammunition amounts let Viktor tear the monster's back to shreds before it was able to turn around and shoot back. Viktor ducked behind the wall to reload. The monster's ammunition ran out. It stopped to reload, it had one more ammunition container to clip onto the gun. Viktor used the gap in the reload to attack. He grabbed his knife and charged the beast. The beast was taken by surprise by the change in tactics. Viktor stabbed the monster in the hand and kicked the gun out of it's hand. The monster swung with it's good hand but Viktor took the knife out it's hurt hand and stopped the hand in mid air by stabbing into the Tyrant's wrist. The Tyrant snapped back and hit him with the hand that was originally holding the gun. Viktor was thrown to the ground. The Tyrant turned around to grab it's gun off of the ground. Viktor started to open fire on the Tyrant's back. The Tyrant roared in pain as Viktor fired the entire clip into the monster's back. The monster had been hurt so badly that it dropped to it's knees. Viktor moved around to the face of the monster. It's helmet covered most of it's face but it's eyes, mouth and nose were bare. Viktor tore the helmet off and pointed his pistol to the monster's head. Viktor shot three times; the first bullet broke the skin, the second cracked the skull, and the third broke through the skull and killed the beast. The bullet was unable to go through the back of the skull so it bounced around inside destroying the brain. Viktor grabbed the M134 and attached the last ammunition container. Viktor walked over to the gate where the truck was still sitting and opened fire. The gun tore through the truck. The truck was destroyed in a matter of seconds. A man fell from the driver seat and coughed up blood. Viktor walked over to the man and began the interrogation. "Well what the hell do we have here? A true scum bag who sicks monsters onto the helpless. Why have you people been doing this?" Viktor asked motioning to the chaos behind him. People had started to come out of hiding since the sound of gunfire had died down. "We have to do this. We needed to remove the military so that we could take control." said the man in a very thick Middle Eastern accent. "Well ass hole, are there more of you or was this your recruitment campaign?" Viktor asked. "We were the beginning. We were going to liberate the world. Make everyone follow the same ideas. End wars. End..." Viktor shot the man before he continued his speach. Viktor grabbed his phone and made a phone call. "It is done. The Tyrant is dead and the people who controlled it are dead. This is the last you will hear from me." Viktor said before hanging up the phone. Now he didn't know what he was going to do. Word was out about a new German government that was recruiting Europeans. Viktor being Russian may make it so he could join. Maybe he'd join one of the large coorperations and work for them as a private contractor.
