Anna looked back at Arc from the corner of her eye before looking back at the image ahead, giving him a quick nod.
"Nothin' I'm not use to, kid!" she replied, her voice strong and determined. Might I add a bit cocky,as well?
Anna then shifted her shoulders a bit and gripped the steering wheel tightly.
BADUMP! BADUMDUMPDUMPDUMP!!
The SUV shook and rocked as she drove through the crowd. The undead's stetched their arms out from both sides, groping and reaching for them. Suddenly the side of the windshield cracked as a corpse slammed and rolled over the window and down the hood.
"DAMN! Hope we make it out soon, can't afford to lose our sorce of transportation!"she yelled over the noise.

After they did the first group, the ride got smoother, and he was more used to the impact. But even he got a bit nervous when the glass cracked, and he was getting ready to bail out out when, or if, it broke further. With the amount of undead they drove through, getting stuck in the middle was exactly what he would want to happen. After driving through the crowd, they were on the main streets. He thought of where they could be going next, assuming that Anna knew where she was going, anyways. "Hey, I dont know where your planning to go next, but how about we stop by the Hardware Store?" Anna noded to him, and then turned the SUV down the street, speeding their way to 'BuildIT'.

Word, Word. They were up in Riverside Condo's housing area. Angela had taken a detour so they were here now. Chad would look to Angela and blink a couple of times as he looked to her as they paused. As he fell asleep on their ride there, he really didn't know where they were. He was totally narcoleptic. Yawning with a very large O, he would continue the mouth movement with words.
"So, where should we like, Go? Like, which house do you like?"

Angela glanced over at him and shook her head. "No, we're not there yet. I stopped here because there's a gas station up ahead. The Fuel gauge is just about empty," she told him, looking over at said gauge.
As they drove on, she looked back at him again. "You were asleep for nearly fourty-five minutes. Feeling any better?"

"I haven't felt better since they outbreak started."
Getting out of the car, Chad would leave his shotgun on the seat as he walked infront of the car and down the street. Zombies seemed to be less in this area. None were on the road, and there were only some on front lawns and back. Putting his hands on his head, Chad would look to the sky and just sigh. Turning to the car that was 25 feet away, he would wave Angela out of the car. Maybe they could set up here for a bit. [/blockquote]

Angela cocked her head aside, watching him walking away from the vehicle. She sighed and reached back, shuffling around until she pulled out a gas container that was brought with them from the hardware store. The woman then grabbed ahold of her weapon and pushed the door open, taking the car keys with her andclipping them to her belt.
Following after Chad, she couldn't help but notice the lack of monsters as well. It was almost surreal. Almost normal. It was good to see near normal again, even though in all actuality it wasn't. It probably would never be again.
"We can grab some gas and then we can probably just camp out in a home...I won't refill though. Never know when someone could just barge in and take our only source of transportation..."

"Smart Smart."
Holstering his weapon, the boy would walk with Angela as they searched for, whatever they were searching for.

OOC: Right off the top of my head something to do. After this, we'll troop off through the city, and either evac, abort, deal with something new, or get to the water treatment plant.
Sergeant, we're bottoming out on the lead car.
F**k it, ditch these junkers, pull over to the curb Watson. Boots touching pavement 3rd herd, time to hump it out the rest of the way.
The 3 cars pulled over to the curb and parked, before the team emptied out. They made sure they had all their gear, before they locked the cars, recorded their location, and then stowed the keys in their pockets in case they're needed again. Middleton looked up and saw the looming water treatment plant was in sight farther down the river. Right as he did so, it seemed like a full out war started inside the condo next to the one they were situated in front of, and seemingly nonstop automatic weapon fire could be heard.
S**t, we better check that out. I don't know what it is but either we're about to curb stomp some terrorists or we're gonna save some VIP Civvies. Move move move! Adam, you got the CQB weapons, take point, Watson, watch his six! Move move move!
The group quickly made their way through the front lawns of the condos, before they got to the condo where the firefight was taking place. They got to the front door, and right as they opened the luckily unlocked door, the gunfire stopped. Watson made the signal for everyone to quiet down, and started to troop inside single file. --------------------------------------- One of Eden's rival corporations had had a senior CEO in the Raccoon city area, who had owned a condo. That condo. The CEO was in charge of an ongoing research operation to counter and cure many of the things Eden had delved into, and a safe filled with research from the branches work was located in the condo. However, ever since the outbreak happened, the condo had been filled to the brim with bodyguards. The death of the bodyguards and the CEO, along with the planned destroying of the condo once it had been cleared off the harder to deal with guards made the condo an alluring target. The corporation hired a mercenary air crew that had been authorized before to operate in the area to fly in covertly and drop a cargo container on top filled mainly with zombies in heavy bullet proof body armor. The uncaring naive first 12 zombies in body armor would kick in the door for them, swarm the surprised guards before they knew what was happening, and the last 6 unarmed zombies would swarm in after them. Things went without a hitch, so far. The only problem now was 3rd squad barging in the door with the first 6 armored zombies feasting on dead bodyguards, before the Eden related mercenaries could swoop in...

Adam jumped ouy of the car among the soldiers and looked around. As everyone else checked that they had all of their gear, he repositioned the bandoleer on his houlder, loading the previously empty Reminton he had recieved at the checkpoint. Other than that, he kept his father's revolver on his side and he had managed to tie the sheath of his sword to the back of the stab-proof vest he had also been given.
He froze in the middle of loading a cartridge though as gunfire rang out among the relative silence. Up until then, he had tried to avoid gunfire to the best of his abilities, but as he heard the Seargent's orders, it took him a second to realize that that was about to change. "Roger that," he said loud enough to be heard as he shook himself back to reality. "Taking point." Once he got moving across the lawns of the condos, holding the Remington firmly against his shoulder, he started to notice the difference between moving in jeans and a t-shirt, and moving with body armor and pads on. He wasn't about to complain though.
Moving up to the front door of the condo that they had heard the gunfire coming from, Adam took a position against the wall beside the front door on the side that it opened away from. It was then that he noticed that the erie silence had returned to the area. The gunfire inside had stopped. Upon seeing Watson's signal for everyone to be quiet, he gripped the Remington tightly and moved in through the unlocked door.
Before he had met the soldiers at the checkpoint, he had had a couple of encounters with zombies before, but what he saw made when he moved into the house made his stomach churn. There were six zombies in the room knawing on the corpses and the people that he guessed had made all the racket. On top of that, they each had on what looked like body armor. The moment that he shook off the shock of what he was seeing was the moment that he raised and aimed his shotgun at the nearest of the six zombies and pulled the trigger.
The recoil of the 12 gauge buck-shot was expected, but it still kicked back against his shoulder. Since he had aimed at the upper chest of the zombie, half of the buck-shot went into the thing's body armor, not doing much damage if any at all, but a good portion of the rest of the buck-shot impacted the zombie in the neck and head. He wasn't sure whether or not he had killed it or not, but the shot definitely knocked the zombie back and it stumbled backward into a wall. This, however, got the attention of the other five zombies in the room and probably any others that were in the area. Pumping the shotgun again as the rest of the squad was also entering the condo, Adam readied himself for a skirmish.

Since Adam was the one who made the first big noise, and was the farthest in, the nearest next 3 bullet proof zombies started to move to swarm him next. However, by now Corporal Watson had stepped in, and was starting to fire as well. He fired his FN SLP Mark I shotgun quickly. He was able to knock the first one of its feet with 3 densely packed first shots (The range was close; within 7 yards shotgun ammunition is so densely packed its practically a pre-fragmented slug). The sheer brute kinetic force of the blow stunned it, and had it temporarily out of the fight. Watson kept moving forward so more people could step in after them two, and he fired another 3 shots on the next person who was closer. First he went low to blast its kneecaps off, and then blew its neck/head apart with the two .00 buckshot rounds. The zombie collapsed. The third zombie was still going for Adam, and Adam only had 1-2 yards left of space to take it out. Right up behind them another 3 zombies were coming, and the other one was getting back to its feet, and were starting to continue at Watson and Adam. The rest of the squad had barely been able to step in so far, let alone get some good shots off.

Adam was surprised at the rapid sucession that the Corporal was able to fire the shotgun, but it was also obvious to him why. One simple fact kept him from doing that. Hesitation. He had never fired a 12 gauge before as he had always gone for the rifles with farther range even if they didn't pack quite as much punch. At that moment though, he didn't have time to hesitate. As the next zombie was only several feet away from him now, he switched his grip on the shotgun and threw the butt into the zombie's face. The blow obviously wouldn't kill it, but it would give him the room that he needed to shoot and as he emptied a slug into the zombie's head, the entire area above the neck disappeared from where it should be to just about everywhere else.
That time, however, he didn't pump the shotgun again and set it down against the wall behind the door. Reaching over his right shoulder, he drew the sword on his back and looked around. There were three zombies still up and walking. One was heading for him, another was heading for the Corporal, and the last one was heading for another soldier that was in the room with them. He doubted he could cut through that body armor of their's, but that didn't worry him. As he stood and let the one zombie get closer and closer to him, he gripped the sword with both hands and suddenly swung upward from his side and a moment later, the zombie's left arm hit the floor. Then, bringing the weapon down horizontally at chest height, he stepped in by the zombie's left side and performed a horizontal slash forward and upward, cleanly cutting through its neck and the zombie dropped dead.. again.

Corporal Watson quickly shouted
Reloading!
Watson quickly scrambled away from the armored zombie that was after him, and darted for the back right corner. The zombie that was chasing him moved to follow, and opened up its back to the 3rd guy who was in. The third guy knew he couldn't stand there near the doorway, or else they'd be plugging the stack up in the fatal funnel, but he had a zombie going after Watson, and a zombie coming at him. Without thinking he quickly moved after the zombie that was running at Watson and bet his life on the boys behind him doing the same for him. The squad kept filtering in, and lived up to his expectations. The zombie who was after Watson's legs was swept from beneath it by quick shots from the third mans rifle, and then the third man curb stomped its neck to finish it off. The men behind the boys shredded the last zombie, and then they started to regroup.
Before they got more then a couple seconds of breathing time, they heard a groan and the last of the zombies (Unarmored) started to pour down the stairwell and head towards them. Just 7 left of the 12, they all scattered and started towards the nearest person alive. They were quickly cut down now that the entire squad had filtered in and had nearly 12 men's worth of automatic weapons. Middleton growled into his mike
Alright boys, clear the rest of the house. Move move, Watson take point.
Aye sir.
Corporal Watson moved to the stairway and started to make his way up, everyone stacked up behind him. Watson whispered quietly into his mike as he peeked around the corner
Hey, sarge. You think any of this is... funny? None of the doors down there were broken open, all windows were fine, no signs of any break in. Right? It looked like the zombies were just there. And the gunfire started up high, didn't it?
Middleton nibbled on his lip as they continued after him. He stopped and let the rest of the stack continue ahead of him while he scanned the room around him, and saw that Watson was just about right from his first glance. If someone broke in from where he couldn't see it a door was in the way which suggested they couldn't have come from there. And on second thought, he was right...
Foul play boys. Look out for something that sticks out of place.
The squad continued on and searched the building, confirmed it clear, but then one of the civilian former-LEO's echoed out into a hand radio he had been given
We might have something in this safe here. Guy in a real expensive suit was clutching the front of it when he was torn up. Think the coincidence sticks out a bit much.
Middleton nibbled on his lip again, before he growled into his headset
Alright. Start clean up. Decapitate the head on all of them, curb stomping them is enough. Me and Riley will get that safe open. Watson, take your boys up to the roof, check it out, and then scout out the water treatment plant.
Affirmative.
Everyone went to work, and Adam went up with Watson's fire team to scope the treatment plant while everyone else made sure none of the zombies or dead VIPs came back. When they got up top, they saw the cargo container which had been blown open by a small charge placed on the handles, and was now empty. It didn't take much imagination to diagnose it. Watson said into the radio
Definitely foul play Sarge. Dropped the whole lot of them on the roof and let em out. Scoping out the plant now.
Watson pulled out his binoculars and looked across the condos to the plant, and looked for any signs of danger. It took a minute, but his eyes soon stopped on the roof.
We got 3 possible armed hostiles on the roof sir. One of them has an RPG. Any boys of ours?
Negative. No ones supposed to be there. Checked the battle.net before we got here. Looks like the place is hot, expect a fight.... There we go. Got the safe open..... S**t, looks like papers.... Research papers. We're bringing them with us. Ok, lets move it out boys. Watson, your boys are on point again.
The group is now in the city park
