Featured right in the back of the Raccoon City Community College, a bunch of teenagers prematurely setup a protected location for all of them to hide; along with thay they bring in children who have lost their parents and are wandering around Raccoon City. The setup is pretty good, plenty of food and water to last for months and a good method of escape incase they're overrun. That being two school busses armed to the teeth with weapons and armor. It's likely that you'll be told to leave if you're too old to stay in this society, there isn't anybody here who is above the age of 16.

[Roger and Crowley are near the Sunshine Society]
Now in the outskirts between Arklay and Raccoon, it was beginning to get dark out. Somewhere down the road, however, there'd been a faint light on. As they neared the light, Roger slowed down to a stop to take a look. They'd seen a couple of broken down vehicles surrounding the backside of the college and the light set up was a large search light behind the barricade. Obviously this was a checkpoint of some sort.
"Is that a kid?" Crowley suddenly asked, noticing a few small children running around behind the barricade. An older kid, probably a teenager, had been patroling it with a hunting rifle in his hands.
Noticing them immediately, the teen came running up to the barricade, another teen emerging from elsewhere, herding up the smaller children away from it.
"Unless you're 16, beat it!" the teenage guard told them, holding the hunting rifle up, threateningly. Crowley scoffed a little. "Little punk..."

"Hey hey hey, we're just passing through!" Roger said, raising his arms up and taking a step back for good measure.
The kid kept his rifle on him and then turned to look at Allison, waving the gun at her too. Allison sighed and lifted her arms up.
"What're ya doin' round here? The city's dangerous! You guys better not be raiders!" he said.
"We're just headin' to the airport, on our way to Vegas to find some family!" Roger shouted back, trying his best to explain the situation.
"Well you should keep movin' then. Don't miss your flight!" the kid said, not budging. As he did, Allison took a small step forward.
"Look kid, it's dangerous out in the streets. We just need somewhere to crash for the night. Just let me speak to your parents or...anyone that's hit puberty 20 years ago," Allison told him.
"There ain't no adults here! Just us!" A teenage girl said, approaching the barricade but without a weapon.
"Well maybe you'll listen then. We're just lookin' for a place to stay the night. You guys live here, y'all must know how dangerous this city is, and it would be a real kindness to take us in. We got our own food and sleeping bags, we won't be a burden," Roger told her, trying his best to convince them to let a few adults in.

The girl frowned and looked over at the armed boy, the two began babbling back and fourth until eventually, the boy lowered his weapon and sighed. "Alright, alright, Angela's gonna bite my head off if I don't atleast let ya talk to Laurie but before you walk in here, we gotta confiscate yer weapons," he said.
"Will we get them back?" Crowley asked.
"When ya leave, yeah. C'mon, hand 'em over, we'll put them in storage with yer names," he told them.
Roger lowered his hands and unholstered his glock and handed it to Allison, before grabbing his bike's handles. "You guys won't mind if I bring my bike in for now, right?" he asked.
"I don't care, sure, but I can't promise you the kids won't climb all over it. Best take your keys with ya," he said. As he did, Crowley ejected the clip from Roger's Glock before handing it over. She'd slipped the mag in a pouch on her hip before unholstering her own Glock, then the S. Deckard, the knife and eventually the rifle, all without their ammo.
Angela, stumbling back a little, trying to carry the now heavy bag and the rifle, smiled at her a little. "Wow, that's...that's alot of weapons," she said.
"I'm paranoid," she responded, slipping through the barricade.
"I'll just label these, what're your names?" she asked.
"Roger..." she began, before pausing and raising a brow. "Roger, what's your last name?" she asked.
"Mann, with two N's," Roger told her, as he rolled the bike into the small compound.
"Roger Mann and Allison Crowley," she said, looking back at the young girl.
"Got it," she said, wandering to the building with the children running behind her. "I'll send my little brother to take you to Laurie. Vince is busy keeping watch right now, this'll just take a moment," Angela told her.
"Take your time."

"So uh, what's up with this place?" Roger asked, parking his bike someplace equidistant from the kids playing and the walls, but soon after the kids starting coming 'round.
"Not sure, but these kids have some courage to hole up here and still be alive," Allison responded, obviously impressed.
"You still have your helmet on," Roger mentioned, having already taken his off when they pulled over. By then, a little group of children had began crowding around them, looking up at them wide-eyed.
"Oh right," she said, removing it. When she did, some of the children looking at them gasped and began whispering to eachother, others running away. Sighing, she'd turned to look at Roger. "Told you so."
"They're kids, and they probably don't see many adults around here," Roger told her.
"Right," she muttered.
"Mr. Mann and Miss.Crowley," a young boy called at the door. He had to be atleast eight or nine years of age. "Angela said to take you to Laurie, follow me, please," he said, holding the door open for them.

Crowley looked over at the young boy and followed after, Roger in tow. When they'd ascended the small steps to the building, she'd put her arm out, to hold the door open herself, allowing the kid and Roger to go in first.
"Thanks," the kid said, wandering in. As he lead them through the back entrance, the entire hall was brightly lit up and lead to a bunch of storage.
"So you guys are going to the airport? You should becareful...the zombies are way more dangerous than the big monsters here since they're in clusters. Hope you got somethin' with a spray effect," he told them. "But I saw your shield, that should help a little bit," he said.
Crowley was a little taken back by the kid's intelligence. It wasn't every day a nine year old gave you advice for moving through an infected city.
"The armor helps too. Can't tell you how many times a biter's tried and failed to get through," Roger told him.
The boy looked back at him and at his gear before smiling. "That's pretty smart," he said, looking back at the heavily secured door leading into the college.
"So how'd you end up here...?" Crowley suddenly asked, wanting a name and a story. The kid was interesting and she was interested in knowing a little more about the Society and him.
"Arkansas." he said, knocking on the door. "I lived with my grandma in Stoneville but she died the day all of this happened. I only got away because a group of firemen found me...but they died too and then Angela found me, then the Society found us and here I am," he explained, watching the door open up.
"The Society was founded by Laurie and her friends. They take all us kids. She doesn't trust adults though. She won't tell us why and we don't really know a whole lot about her, just that she's pretty much our mom," he said.

"So do you guys scavenge in the city or what? I mean, how do you keep this place running?" Roger asked looking around.
"Well, we used to just go into Arklay and go through stuff there but it's running pretty short. For awhile we hadn't had any food or ammunition but then this girl came by and started going into the city to scavenge stuff and brought it back. She's real good at climbing things, so she can sneak around them. Our group is really small so we don't need alot," he explained.
"You know, I have some supplies you could have back at the Recreation Center. Food, medical supplies, ammunition and some guns. Help yourself," Allison told the boy.
"Wow, that'd be a great help, thank you," he said.
"I'll give the combination number to Laurie."
"Thank you, very much, Miss. Crowley," Arkansas said, smiling at them.
"Do you have any vehicles? Actually, do any of y'all know how to drive?" Roger asked as he thought about how they'd even be able to get the supplies to and from.
"Yep, Laurie and Evan can drive. We have two buses we take. One for all of us and the other is for supplies. But one of them broke down last week, so Laurie's been worried about it," he said walking down a hall of classrooms.
"Well I can always take a look at it," Roger said, brushing past some kids in the hall.
"Great, I'll let Evan know as soon as I take you to Laurie, thank you," he said, stopping infront of an office door. "Well, this is it, Laurie's in here, don't worry if she comes off rude to you, she's just always stressed out and, you know, doesn't trust adults too much," Arkansas warned.

Crowley nodded and smiled at the young boy as he started to wander off down the hall. "Thanks for the info, Arkansas," she told him, waving a little. He looked back at the two of them and returned her smile, waving a bit sadly.
"You're welcome. I'll see you two in the morning," he said. When he left, Crowley turned to face the office door and knocked on it. "What a nice kid..." she said, thinking about it a little more.
"Gotta say, if I ever have children, I hope he or she is like Arkansas," she commented.
"Come in!" a voice called. Opening the door, Crowley and Roger both walked in, seeing the spacious office filled with bedroom-like things, including a cot.
"Laurie?" Crowley asked. The sixteen year old looked at her, distrusting.
"Yes, that's me. Angela says you two want to bunk here for the night."
The mercenary nodded. "Big day tomorrow in the city. We're weary and we have supplies to offer you back in the Recreational Center, already told Arkansas about it. All in exchange for just a place to sleep," she explained.
"Mhm..." the girl said, her gaze drifting over to Roger.
Crowley noticed the sudden shift of attention from her to Roger before glancing at her friend, then back at the teen. "...And...uh...there's plenty of...supplies....are you listening to me?" she asked.
The girl blinked blankly before snapping her attention back to Crowley. "Yeah, yeah, old lady. Fine, you can stay and we'll check up on the supplies in the morn'. You can sleep in one of the empty classrooms down the hall," she said.
"I mean, in different rooms. I don't need y'all knocking boots while my kids are running around," she added.
Crowley flinched a little and her jaw slightly hung down a bit. That wasn't something she was prepared to be accused of and by a little teenage girl, no less.
"I don't...We're not..." she stammered, trying to figure out what to say. "There's none of that...but if it makes you feel more comfortable, I mean, that's fine," she said nervously.

"Yeah uh, there's nothing going on between us," Roger said, motioning at both him and Allison.
"Right, right, sure," the teen said, looking down at some things scattered on her desk. "Just don't do anything. I have a hard enough time keeping the other fifteen and sixteen year old kids off eachother, I expect more from some adults," she said.
Roger rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly before speaking up, "Uh, I hear you guys have a busted bus. Mind if I take a look at it before I hit the hay?"
She suddenly looked up at him and smiled. "Sure, that'd be great," she said, stacking up her things and getting up. "I'll uh, show you the way to the buses," she said, walking around the desk and to them.
"You can go pick a classroom," she said to Allison.
"No, no, I think I'll assist him, if you don't mind," the merc said, with a sort of annoyed tone. . . . . . "So that's all that it's gonna really take to fix the bus up, shouldn't take more than an hour. You okay staying here an extra hour tomorrow?" Roger asked after he finished explaining the inner workings of a bus to Allison.
"That's fine," she said. "I'm sure the hormonal teenage girls here would appreciate that," she added, rolling out her sleeping bag.
"Maybe I should lock the classroom door tonight," Roger joked, laughing a bit at his own joke.
Allison chuckled a little. "Maybe, unless you want to wake up tied to a shrine of you in the janitor's closet. I can't save you, then."
"Heheh, alright, goodnight Allison," Roger told her, before going into his room.

"Goodnight, Roger," she responded, watching him go. When he did, she'd wandered over to her door and locked it. The way that little demon child Laurie treated her all night, she wasn't in the mood to put down an obnoxious kid in the middle of the night. Moving across the classroom, she'd sighed and looked down at her sleeping bag. After a moment, she'd looked around the empty classroom, all the desks were pushed over to the otherside of said room, leaving a large, empty space. It was pretty quiet and little more than lonely. 'Great, now I'm feeling lonely...I'm used to having people sleeping around me or keeping watch.'Sighing, she'd got down onto the bag and crawled into it, feeling her back stiffen against the hard floors. It was gonna be hard to sleep tonight... =============================================================== February 16th 2013 10:14 A.M. Knock KNOCK"Allison, rise and shine!" Roger called out, knocking on her door. Crowley stirred a little, squeezing her eyes shut tighter and turning over, her hair bunching up under her. After a moment or so, she'd been soundly asleep again. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK"Come on Allison, you gotta wake up!" he called out once more. The merc suddenly shot up from her sleeping form and in a daze, she'd scrambled upto her feet. "Roger, what's wrong?!" she barked out, trying to grab ahold of something for support but stumbling forward instead. She'd grunted and crawled a a foot forward before pushing herself back up to unlock the door. "What's wrong?" she asked, worried and sleepily.

"Nothing, nothing's wrong, just, trying to wake you up is all," Roger told her, holding onto her shoulders. Allison blinked slowly and rubbed at her eyes a little. Her hair was completely dishelved and fly-away. "Oh...well...if you're okay..then..I'm going to sleep...a little longer. Didn't sleep well last night," she said, tiredly.
"Come on Allison, we can't get our schedules screwed up. And uh, I'd like some company while I'm fixing the bus that uh, can remember music from before 1998."
The woman squeaked out a chuckle and sighed, stretching her back and arms out a little. "Alright, alright, let me just put my boots on," she said, wandering back into the classroom.
"Take your time, I'll be here," Roger said stepping away. . . . . . Allison pulled on her jacket a little and blew her breath into her gloved hands. "Damn, it's cold out here," she commented, looking over at Roger while he worked.
"I dunno, I'm sweatin' a little," Roger called out from under the bus.
A few giggles and whispers had broke the short pause. Some of the teenage girls from last night were back, sitting around the old vehicles and watching Roger work on the bus.
"I think you excited the girls," she said, looking at them, then back at Roger. "Do you need any help?"
"Nah, I'm fine, unless you know how to fix an busted fuel line."
"Uh, carry on then," she said, looking back at the girls. "Don't you all have somewhere else to be? It's cold out, you're going to catch your deaths out here," she told them. The girls ignored her, shooting back short, rude, comments.
"I hate these brats..."
"Well why don't ya call over that Arkansas kid, they seem to listen to him," Roger suggested from under the vehicle.

Crowley glared at the rude little bastards before looking back down at Roger. "I don't need a little kid fighting my battles," she told him before shaking her head. "I'm referring to being bullied by a bunch of pubescent girls as "battles".... I changed my mind, I don't want children," she said.
"Aww, but you'd be a wonderful mom, tellin' all yer kids war stories and how back in your day you had to go down to the supermarket to get a loaf of bread, not grow it yourself."
Crowley smirked and placed her hands on her hips. "Actually, that is some feat when you think about it..." she muttered. "So how's the bus coming along?" she asked.
"Pretty good, won't be long now," he informed her.
She nodded and started to pace back and fourth, to warm up. "Good, we can be out of here soon then, head to the Airport before it gets dark," she said. After a little while of silence and warding off oogling girls, Crowley had went back into the school and came back out with some warm food and drinks, using one of the love-struck girls to help carry it.
"We got you some food, Mr. Mann," the girl said, grinning widely and setting it up on a fold up dinner tray another girl brought out.
"Amazing how a little manipulation can go a long way," Crowley commented, watching the girls run off to continue watching him from a distance.

"Great, I'm finished now anyways," Roger said, sliding out from under the bus and brushing himself off. "Oh sweet, thanks Allison," he said smiling up at her and grabbing a bite.
"No problem," she replied with a smile. She'd leaned back against the other bus, taking a bite of her food. "Got our gear back too, Arkansas left them in my room," she informed him.
"Guessing trust is no longer an issue?" Roger asked before taking a swig of coffee. "Ow, hot, hot, aaah..."
"Well, Arkansas said they had no problem giving you your things back. He and Angela just decided to give me my things back, themselves," she said, laughing a little.
"Heh, those two are good eggs," he mused, taking a lighter swig.
The mercenary nodded and took a sip of her coffee too, looking up at the dark grey and blue clouds above. "Looks like rain soon...maybe snow," she said, concerned.
"Does it snow here?" Roger asked, being relatively new the area.
"Yeah, it gets pretty bad sometimes," she responded. "I prefer it to heat, might be why I stay up North more often. Tried living in Florida before....that was a big mistake. It's constantly hot and humid there. I prefer cold and dry."
"Heh, me two. Spent a good chunk of my life on the corn belt. When the zombies came, I was glad to have a reason to get up and leave, heh."
"So you were one of those people that live in small town, hic-ville with dreams of leaving the safety of said small town to try out something new?" she asked, humorously.
"Well when you put it that way... yes."

Allison laughed lowly and took another drink of her coffee. "It's alright, I spent twenty years of my life in Portland, Oregon. It wasn't a small town farming community, but it was a bit of a rat hole. I wanted to do more with my life other than cooking. I dropped out of college, got intouch with Li and we left to join the U.B.C.S."
Taking another sip, she'd looked down into her coffee cup. "Actually, I don't think I ever went back."
"S'alright, maybe we can drop by when we're on the run from assassins, but right now, I think we've got a plane to catch," Roger said finishing up his meal and heading towards the school. "Come on, lets get our gear and hit the road."
The woman finished off her coffee and placed the cup down by her empty bowl, walking after him. "Right," she agreed.
It was a nice little chat. Getting to know Roger more was always nice and it stirred up alot of old feelings about herself and her old life before Umbrella. It felt like it'd been forever since she last thought about what she had been doing before then.

"Glad to see no one went and destroyed our guns overnight or anything," Roger said holstering his handgun and slinging the gun bag over his shoulder.
"I haven't checked mine."
"Ya wanna check now or...?"
Allison laughed. "No, I was just joking."
"Alright, well anyone you wanna say goodbye to, or are we just hit 'n running?"
"No, we should go," she replied. . . . . . "You alright?" Roger asked, looking back at Allison sitting behind him.
"Yeah, just cold," she told him.
"We'll be at the airport soon enough, alright? Lets go."
With that the pair rode off away from the Sunshine Society.
[Roger and Crowley have left the Society]
