Just west of the US lies one of the largest bodies of water the Pacific Ocean. This landmass is home to many wrecked ships, underwater operations, moving transport vessles and small unidentified islands.

It had been a long trip. Four hours in a chopper with a bunch of soldiers dressed to kill, letterally. All around him was guns armor and muscles and there he stood, takeing up merely half a seat dressed in a hawaain shirt. After getting sick of the odd looks he was getting he just looked up and closed his eyes. Soon the voice of thier fearless leader 'Art' came over the radio.
"Alright team. We have gotten word from our intelligence officer currently in a Death Valley Sincell facility that they plan to visit an uncharted island about seventy miles off the coast of California. You're job is to search and identify what it is that they might be seeking on the island and eliminate it, afterwhich you will set up a perimiter to intercept them." Carl sighed, once again his place in this mission, while small had been overlooked. Either way he was glad to be doing good deads and believed this to be where fate had brought him. Suddenly the cabin was filled with a red light and a alarm went off. The captain looked to the pilot.
"What the h*ll is that?" He demanded.
"We have a misile incoming from the island." He reported.
"What the...deploy chaffe and pull up!" After pressing a few buttons the captain shook his head.
"No good, It's still on course. All men brace for..." At that moment their was a large explosion that rocked the cabine. Sound boomed all around them as he could feel heat from a nearby fire as he held on tight as the wrecked chopper tumbled down. After a few seconds that seemed like a lifetime the wreckage came to a complete stop jarring most of the people. Opening his eyes he was supprised to find that he wasn't dead.
Looking around all he saw was lifeless bodies blood and smoke filling up the cabin. After removing his buckle he saw a body moving near the window. Acting quickly he struggled to squeeze himself out the window. Next he reached in and pulled out the person that still seemed to be consious. Running off he found a safe place to put the soldier down. Just as he was about to run back to the chopper their was a large explosion and the twisted metal was now completely engulfed in flame. All Carl could do is fall to his knees in defeat.
"Sh*t..."

The nearly unconscious woman that was pulled to safety laid on the ground, holding her arm. Her shoulder was dislocatedand aching like a sonuva b*tch! She hissed and tried sitting up, just as she did, there was aloud and large explosion, forcing her to raise her other armup to cover her face. "s***!" she yelled.
As black, thick, smoke coveredthe area, she coughed and wheezed, pushing to her feet. She had to coverher mouth, but letting her arm dangle like that would make it hurt worse. "Jesus H. Christ, what the hell?" she coughed.
"Ah f**k. This ain't good," the tanned woman groaned. She looked over at her savior and raised an eyebrow. "Hey, come on, get up. We've got a mission to finish. We'll mourn..later...Be thankful you're alive."

OOC: i think the name was Charles...I like that better.
Charles looked around still with a ringing in his ear. Here he had just saved her life and she was yelling at him like every soldier always did. He sighed. "You sure swear allot. I suppose I'm no better." He then turned to the chopper. "You don't feel that though? All those people?" He then stood up and wiped his face off. "Listen, we need to call this in." He said walking back to her. He then looked around. "But we can't do that if this place is empty." Looking into the distance he opened his ears. "It's so quiet here. No birds or anything. You think the crash would have stirred up some animals." He looked down. "Can't even see any tracks. Reaching down he picked up some of the soil.
"Dry." He then touched some of it to his tougne. "No trace of salt water. We're deep in, probably not far from the drop zone." He then saw her looking at him oddly. "You said get to work. This is what I do. I was sent here to analyze the area to find out what was so valuable. I'm sorry but I'm no soldier." With another look around he put on a sour face. "Something doesn't feel right though. I won't object if you want to lead us but I only suggest that we have a plan before wandering off." He made sure to talk calmly as to not raise tensions. "So, what do you propose?"

Arognat grinned a little tiredly. "Well first thing's first," she began, pushing on her arm and giving it a strong, rough, twist. A loud pop was heard as she winced and rubbed at her sore joints. She moved her arm around in a circle before looking back at him.
"Second, affirmative. I swear constantly. Get use to it. Third, thanks for the save. Fourth, I don't give a damn who leads or what you do. Just don't get killed or get me killed," shetoldd the man, laughing a little at the end.
She scoped their environment. He was right, it was awfully quiet. Very tranquil, but that didn't change the burning she felt deep down in her chest. She knew better. Neverlet your guard down.
"Well, I propose we atleast fix ourselves up," she said, gesturing to the bleeding trailing down his hairline and several burns and cuts they both had. "It's too risky to just walk out there in our condition."

"well, I don't know if I can help but I can identify the problem. He then walked behind her. "My name is Charles. I was originally a biologist until I join with the recovery mission after the incident in Spain." He then started checking over her head. "Hold still...Once there I started learning allot about BOW's. Used my knowledge of common wildlife to learn about the abominations of Umbrella. Learned how to track them, how to throw them off, how to anticipate their needs and actions." He then spotted the origin of the bleeding.
"After the AFDS hired me they started having me analyze the weaknesses, cababilities and antisipating the orginizations next move. Think ahead and know what they were looking for based on the evolution of their production line." After examining it he moved away. "It's okay. Some hair got ripped out taking some skin. It should heal over." Reaching into his gear he pulled out a scope. Turning on the night vision he started scanning the area.
"I can tell you this though. If what they're looking for IS here, then we're in trouble. What they're looking for needs to be stronger than any freak they've developed. It needs to be humanoid and capable of consious thought to provided proper brain transfer." He then stopped turning and pointed out. "Northwest. The forest seems to thin out. I think that's our best bet...."

Arognat rubbed at her head and unholstered her handgun from beneath her arm. Looking back at Charles she nodded ahead. "Alright, Charles. I'll take your word for it. Name's Arognat by the way. I'm just a soldier hired by the A.F.D.S. Nothin' special about me cept for the whole, I can kill and kick thing's asses. That and I was a former government agent," she explained, walking ahead cautiously.
There was a loud, fluttering noise around them, spinning around and aiming at everything and anything, she relaxed a little, seeing they were only a few birds. Oddly they weren't like the pesky crows she's used to seeing...
"Lead the way, I'll provide cover."
((Is it night time?))

OOC: yeah
Charles looked at her with wide eyes. "Trust me, whatever we're looking for it'll probably make itself know far before we even see it. It's been two years since they last developed something stealth so they arn't looking for a quiet killer right now." He then looked at the ground again. "However they want something intelligent so perhaps a-little caution is called for." From his back he pulled out the metal pieces and assembled his crossbow. Getting another odd look he shook his head. "I don't kill things. I hunted for food in Spain. The crossbow doesn't make any noise like a gun so it's good for a single strike. I have a pistol if that helps at all." As he was walking his foot hit something. Leaning over he picked it up.
"Soda..." He then looked at her. "Guess there has to be something here. Sincell know something we don't. We must be heading in the right direction. As he continued they entered a valley and suddenly the wind picked up. "It's from the east...I checked the weather before we left and it was from the west." He then looked at her. "It's probably nothing but if we can we should find whatever building that this came from. Both for the mission and for personal safety." Keeping a watchfull eye he began walking through the grass valley. "So...if we do encounter something...you have combat experience...what would be the gameplan? I mean, what have you faced down in the past?"

Arognat looked at the can in his hand before looking back at him, then ahead once more. "Well, terrorists, undead, Umbrella experiments that were anything but human...Once I and my team had fought against this huge, humanoid project. It was something...ugh, what was it called...T something."
Smirking she glanced at the man. "I've been around the block. I can handle myself. Besides that, onthe off chance we do come across some Sincell group we have these thickets of trees and plants to our advantage. If we come across anything not human, well, I've got this," she told him, gesturing towards her shotgun.
She reached into her pouch, pulling out a large slug. "This slug can rip through tungsten. I think we're covered. I've only been given one though. So we better make sure we don't get anything or anyone mixed up," she finished.

"Dang..." He said looking at the slug. "Well...I hunted in the deep wilderness of Spain if it makes a difference." He said jokingly. "But it's good to know we have some kind of advantage. So yoursaying as long as we're in the forrest we're on the up and up. I'll take that." Just then he came to where the valley ended and lead to a cliff. Charles stood dead in his tracks as he was dumbfounded. "Ahhh....what about an urban setting." He managed to mutter out. As Arognat approached they both looked down below as what appeared to be a miniature city awaited them. "How....how could no-one know about this place?" He asked looking over to her. It was when he turned his head that he noticed a billboard. "Um....I think I know why the Sincell are so interested." He said pointing at the billboard.
Looming over the city was the Umbrella logo on a giant billboard hovering above a silent pocket sized city. He shook his head. "This isn't right. No power...the place is completely abandoned." He then looked at her in fear. "So...is there some sort of plan for this type of situation or are we winging it?"

Arognat stared intently at the small ghost town. Her eyes seemed so cold and distant. Never taking her eyes off of her directive, she grunted. "I've had experience in Urban settings. I'm just a little more concerned about those guys there," she said, pointing at what looked like three humans trudging along with heavy artillery.
One man was waving his arm from what she could see as the other two hauled some equipment into a building. Suddenly there'd been some shuffling comeing frombehind them. Arognat glanced at Charles.
"Prepare for the worse, Charlie." she said, half seriously half joking.
((Haha sorry, couldn't help myself. Get use to her callin' him Charlie. XD ))

Charles looked around. "There already here? This isn't good." Looking down he spotted their chance of escape. "Down below. We can slide down into the resivoir. Maybe they won't notice." It was then that he heard them right behind them. "No time to chat..." He said grabbing her by the shoulder. Moving out he slid onto his back and helped Arognat follow suit and the were instantly sliding down the steep hill. Once the hill stopped and they were freefalling he looked down to spot a broken storm drain. "Hold on!" He said wrapping his arms around her. With their combined weight they crashed through and splashed into the water. Instantly a commotion could be heard above. Suddonly something dawned on him.
"Okay...the bad news is we have the low ground. The good news is I think I know where we are and what they're after." He then broke out his scope hitting night vision again. "All in all this place is bad news. I'd say lets find their boat and get outta here but I doubt you would agree." Ahead the canal was completely exposed and the Sincell were approaching. The only exit he saw was a sewer grate on the right. Heading over he pulled hard on it. "It's stuck. Can you get this thing open?"

When Arognat's head came above water, she kicked her feet below and looked at him oddly. "Ow," with that, the woman swam after him to the sewer grate. Upon seeing he was unable to open it, she noticed the grime and slimy residue gluing it shut. She reached into the water, her hand brushing against her pant leg and pulling out her combat knife.
She slammed the blade into the crack and started slicing away the substance. As she did, the men above began to open fire on them, the bullets breaking through the water, but luckily not catching them.
By the time she'd removed the slime, she with the help of Charles', pulled the grating off. She quickly latched her hands onto the inner walls and struggled to pull herself up. Charles had grabbed ahold of her ankles from below and helped give her a push.
When she up she sighed and leant her hands down to him, he grabbed them and was pulled up soon after. "Thanks," she breathed, pushing her wet hair out of her face.

Charles splashed clumsily through the drainage pipe as the shots rang out. Acting fast he broke out his flashlight. "We're on Sheena island. It was discovered by Leon Kennedy's old partner Ark Thomson. Unfortunately, after his escape he died of a brain anurism before giving enough information to properly locate it. Up until now it was thought only to be a myth." Looking back he saw a light being shined down and he quickly turned the corner with her. "If they were actually developing what Ark claimed they were, the Sincell will have genetic material they need before they begin the genocide. As they continued down the pipeline he quickly stopped her. "Don't move..." He said quietly. He then pointed ahead as floating red orbs appeared before them. Shining his flashlight on them he soon revealed their true form. "Don't worry. It can't see or smell us. It's called a glimmer. One of Umbrellas subteranian prodjects. It can only sense movement but once it finds you it's basically game over. It's lighting up because it woke up and it knows we're here." He then took out a clip for his gun and began removing bullets. "Don't shoot any of the red bumps. They're filled with toxic gas that would kill us in seconds." Once the clip was empty he looked at Arognat. "I'll get them to turn around. The back is thier weak spot. We only have one chance though." With that said he tossed the empty clip over the heads of the two creatures. After it splashed into the water behind them one turned around. The other was about to untill three stray bullets in his hand fell into the watter. With a quick groan the second glimmer pounced on him pushing him beneath the water before opening a gaping mouth filled with four rows of teeth.

Arognat, startled, was about to shoot at it, but it was moving too much she was pretty sure she'd hit the red eyes. She had to do something though! Her partner was nearly about to drown. She ran up to it and launched a strong kick to it's side, pushing it a little. Enough to let Charles head come above water for a little air. Then it was back underwater.
"Ya bastard!" she yelled, shoving her entire body against it, that, pushed it off entirely. She wrestled with it, it's mouth opening and trying to get her head into it's mouth. Didn't help that it couldn't since it had absolutely no neck to move around and get her.
She made sure to keep her head on it's round abdoman and try to holdit down. "Charlie. shoot this bastard while I've got it distracted," she said as calmly as she could so she wouldn't yell it out and catch the other one's attention...
Since it was so dark, she couldn't really make out where Charles was anymore. And eventually she slippedoff theslimy fleshof the thing. It's eyes were all she could make out now and when she slid off, her boot got caught in what felt like a dip in the ground.
To make matters worse, the smell was atrocious and she was beginning to gag while trying to hurry and pull her foot outof it's stuck place.
