Daniel hadn’t even thought through what he was doing when he aimed the pistol in his hand and started to fire. Riko moved very fast, but he wasn’t fast enough. After trailing behind him for a few shots, Daniel readjusted and led him with the sights. Firing off a few more shots, a flash of blood on the wall and Riko’s stumble as he made it back into the armory was seen. Daniel knew this was the only chance they’d get. The train would be back soon, and Riko would probably recover if he had just done what it looked like to the hatch of the hummer.
Daniel picked up Elijha with one arm, hauling her to his shoulder and aiming the weapon in the direction of the armory as he made his way to the jeep they were stealing. He got Elijha in the back seat and made sure Rio got to the other one.
“Buckle her up.” He yelled to Rio as he made his way to the door. It wasn’t hard to open, and as soon as he shot the padlock at the U bend and lifted the latch, it was open. He shoved it open and ran back to the jeep. Hopping into the drivers seat, he started it up and made a quick count using the rear view mirror. Everyone inside, he put it in drive and gunned the engine. They had to build up speed and hit the ground running to avoid flipping the jeep or spinning out.
As soon as the tires touched, there was a quick jolt before they started moving again. As soon as he could, Daniel turned the wheel and got off the tracks, starting in the opposite direction of the train to put as much distance between them as he could before he stopped to get his bearings and head toward their destination.
“Mal, do they have any trackers in these things?” Daniel asked, probably a bit too late. If anything, they’d ditch it and get a new car whenever they could. As it was, they were getting a good head start.

Malcom threw the bags and anything else he had time for into the back of the hummer, thankful that Daniel had enough time to grab their personal gear. Slamming the boot shut and jumping into the front passenger seat, reaching back to help Daniel and Rio secure Elijah. When everyone was in he snapped open a first aid kid and pulled out a gauze like dressing, tearing the packaging off and passing it back.
"Slap that on the wound and press down until it sticks, it'll stop the bleeding and disinfect by itself, modern field dressing. I swear by the things."
After instructing Rio she handed back his PDA and he got to work on the vehicles tracking device, plugging a USB cable into a port in the dashboard.
"They're quality trackers, very accurate, the only problem I ever had was how long it took to calibrate the damn things once you got them out of the box." He turned on the GPS and indicated the moving dot where they were as well as the clumped dots indicating the rest of the vehicles back at the train. "So if I force a reboot and don't calibrate it."
The dot representing their car started veering off the course they were following, moving further away as they picked up speed and occasionally stopping altogether.
"It'll have to stop every ten minutes to catch up with itself, even then it'll deviate from our actual course. After a few miles it could even lead them in the opposite direction. So where are we headed anyway? I'm curious about where Art will think to search for us when she follows that thing."

Rio unbuckled Elijha and laid her face first on her lap. She removed the hoodie she was wearing and threw it in the floor board. Pressing the guaz to her back she quickly found it soaked through with blood. She finally took Malcom's medical back and just continued to apply pressure to her back. "She wont stop bleeding," she called out.
"Hemophiliac," Elijha moaned.
"s***," she growled as she pressed harder on her back. "Where not even anywhere near a hospital or doctors office are we?" she asked looking up at the others. "Or at least anywhere we can camp out. I can remove the bullet, and hope that will slow the bleeding. We'll also need medical equipment still, at least what we can find at a general store," she pointed out.
"Your brother hates me," Elijha groaned as she settled down in Rio's lap.
Rio laughed slightly as she ran her fingers through Elijha's hair. "Don't worry I think he hates everyone at the moment."
"W- we'll save him . . ." she trailed off as she passed out again.

“I grabbed a first aid kit, maybe there’s something in there you can use to patch her up while we find someplace.” Daniel said. He was sensitive to Elijha’s needs, a place to perform the makeshift surgery, some higher tier medical equipment, that kind of stuff. But he was also sensitive to the fact that they needed to put some ground between them and the AFDS. He tried to think of a place they’d be able to hold up, until he saw a place on the horizon.
“Hey, we got a town coming up. We might be able to get something there.” He said. It looked small, probably the kind of place where there was a doctors office instead of a hospital, a Ma and Pa general store instead of a supermarket. Perfect. Might get some supplies, might get a place to stay for a bit, might even get time. Time was the most important thing they could have, time to get their heads straight, time to find out what they needed to do once they got to where they were going.
Even if it was infected, they wouldn’t have much of a problem. The population wouldn’t be big enough to have a mass of monsters to deal with. They could probably get away scott free.
(Group now in the Settlements thread.)

The chopper came to a landing atop of the large cruiser. The HMS Retribution was the mobile base of operations for the United Kingdom in this time of crisis and served as the home of the handler of Captain MacGyvers and his now dead team. As the Scotsman exited from the helicopter, he was greeted by a none too happy officer and his staff.
"Seems that you get out of the frying pan and into the bloody fire, don't you, Captain." the officer said, approaching the Scotsman. "Have these people been cleared, I mean for God's sake man, we are trying to keep a lid on this entire operation!" he shouted.
"The man with the gasmask...Will, I can personally vouch for him...the others..." he referred to the people who had rode in with him. "I cannot really speak too much for them, other than they needed an out of Raccoon City card."
"Well, whenever you can get a moment, have these people taken in and questioned....and remind them not to touch anything!" the officer reiterated. "We have a meeting scheduled for your report in a half hour...bring anyone relevant to the Union of Patriots situation, which I must inform you...is not over and done with."
"What do you mean? Brezhnev is dead, I hear that the bloody base has been gassed by Sarin...the last bit that was left in America has been-"
"Just be at the meeting." the officer said briskly, as he stormed off towards the command deck.
"Bloody suits..." MacGyers muttered under his breath. "Reminds me why I turned merc."

Viktor sat quietly within the dual bladed transport helicopter, collecting his thoughts. NATO was acting strange, sending him headfirst into a horde of zombies, then into a helicopter blindfolded, whatever it was...he didn't like it. His sense were rushed with strong scents of salt and raw fish, giving clear signs that they were over an ocean. Viktor chuckled to himself as the helicopter landed and he heard the Scotsman getting chewed out by his superior, the commenting on being a mercenary. Viktor sighed as he knew he was going to be accused of being part of the Union, despite his extreme dislike toward communism.
Viktor sighed as he awaited the men to move him to the next location, his radio transmissions cut from the NATO contact that had messaged him so many times before, an obvious sign that they had cut contact with him, assuming he would have been killed by this new Scotsman and the forces he undoubtably had. You dumbass...You walked right into a trap, NATO left you for dead and your going to die because they read you as a false witness. Keep your cool, it'll pass, come on Viktor. You can do this.
He sat in the seat, bracing for the men to treat him like a prisoner of war, something he was all too used to. Hopefully, he would walk away like he was also used to.

"Bring anyone relevant to the Union of Patriots situation, which I must inform you...is not over and done with."
Will had been scanning the area surronding the men until those last few words were uttered out of the officer's mouth and hung in the air.
"Is not over and done with."
Those six words made his heart skip a beat for a moment. The excitement from earlier had now completely vanquished and left the mercenary thinking what could possibly come next. He wanted to get to the briefing room to find out as quickly as possible, to find out what the man had meant. A million thoughts flooded his mind. Was there a few survivors that managed to avoid the gassing at the various compounds? Perhaps there was a expeditionary force that had managed to avoid gassing by being in another country. The curiousity was killing him.
"Bloody suits..." MacGyers muttered under his breath. "Reminds me why I turned merc."
"You got that right," Will grunted and followed MacGyvers. "I was about to celebrate our victory, looks like it'll have to be postponed. Again."

"No rest for the wicked, Will." MacGyvers sighed, as he looked back at those onboard the helicopter.
"Alright....you lot knew the risks before you took off with us..." he called. "Make your way off of the chopper and head on inside for questioning....While I am certain that none of you are affiliated with this terrorist organization, the suits still have protocol to follow."
MacGyvers turned and faced the command deck, shaking his head.
"It will never be over...not as long as their are at least three humans left on the planet...two to ally with each other to conspire against the third." he lamented, as he made his way to the deck.

Viktor nodded as he began walking toward the deck where he was to be questioned, he honestly had nothing to worry about as he was no affiliated with the union, nor any threatening terrorist organizations. Unless MacGyvers' group he worked with hated NATO, then something was to be concerned. He couldn't help but noticed the looks the soldiers gave him as he passed by him, he was no doubt different looking from your average soldier. His exposed forearms were covered in Tattoos of Russian Cyrillic that was unreadable to those who didn't speak the language. His hair was fashioned into a military style Mohawk giving obvious signs that he was either a mercenary...Or someone who wanted to throw off his true identity.
Viktor stepped into the dimly lit room and took a seat directly that was positioned directly in the center of the dark room, or at least what Viktor thought was the center. He took leaned forward in the chair and waited for the men to begin their questioning process. He may not have liked having to be escorted into a dark room with little intel as to where he was, but NATO would have done the same to the others if they arrived at their Headquarters, and it sure as hell beat sitting in the middle of city plagued with Zombies. Whatever they were going do, Viktor hoped they do it quickly, he was a master at sitting in one place at one time but he'd prefer foliage over a dark room.

"It will never be over...not as long as their are at least three humans left on the planet...two to ally with each other to conspire against the third."
"Let's hope the two conspiring are against the Union," Will said following MacGyvers. As they walked Will began to flick his weapon's safeties on and began stuffing his gas mask in his leg pouch. "After this meeting is adjourned, I'd like it if one of these gentlemen would show me the way to the cafeteria. Even the news of the Union not being completely destroyed couldn't quench my appetite."
(I'll try to post as much as possible but my computer screen is shattered and it's slightly difficult to see anything. But I'll try my hardest!)

MacGyvers gave a nod in agreement to Will as the two entered the conference room with the intelligence gatherers and the suit MacGyvers had spoken with earlier.
"Good, we can begin." the suit said, as he motioned for MacGyvers and Will to take a seat at the table. As MacGyvers sat, the lights in the room dimmed down and a projector began to show satellite video of a large airship flying over some body of water.
"What is that supposed to be?" MacGyvers asked, looking at the video.
"That is a very good question...we have only small details." the suit replied, as he slid a folder over towards MacGyvers and Will. MacGyvers looked down at the photos, blowups of the airship and he shook his head. It seemed to have ramps for launching rudimentary missiles, bombing bays, aircraft hangers, cannons, it was a virtual flying fortress. Then he saw it, stenciled on the side, the callsign of the airship.
"Broken Union?" he said looking back up at the suit.
The video image now showed a cruise ship being approached by the airship. Suddenly, a barrage of strange looking missiles erupted from the airship, blasting the deck of the cruise liner.
"We have received a communique to go along with the satellite video...from Brezhnev." the suit said, as he clicked off the video and now before the gathered group was a super sized image of General Mikhail Brezhnev. MacGyvers' face went flush, seeing the man alive. But something did not seem quite right about the face.
"Greetings to you grand and glorious gentlemen." the Russian smirked, as his head twisted back and forth. His voice sounded garbled, as if it were electronically manufactured. "If you are hearing this, it means that I have fallen in combat...that my crusade is over.
"They say that when I die, my cause will die, that it will be like a book I close....but the book will never close." Brezhnev sneered. "I send this to you....my hated enemies! My Final Wave, my last assault against those who found us to be useless in this soft world."
And with that, the video switched to a view of large men in military dress, each holding a variant of the Kalashnikov, each one a Tyrant.
"What the?" MacGyvers stammered. It was an army of Tyrants....the genetically engineered monsters of Umbrella Inc.
"I have regathered my forces, I have remustered my troops! I have reconstructed my base and myself! I will send you this message with this one time offer.....unconditional surrender....pass control of your military to me....and I and my armies will wipe the infection that has siezed this planet off the face of the earth....how...best....best...best to fight fire than with fire? Cure the infection with the very monsters it has created?
"You may famine or feast....live or die....."
The video ended.
"Any thoughts?" the suit asked, his face neutral.
"Yeah.....why haven't you shot that bloody thing down?"
"We have been trying to track it down to shoot it down...." the suit replied. "It is incredibly difficult to get a lock on it's position....one day it's near Japan, the next the east coast of the United States....and we know it can not possibly move that fast."

"We can never catch a break," Will sighed leaning back in his chair dumbfounded at the new development. Brezhnev had now shown he could **** Will off even more now from beyond the grave.
"It is incredibly difficult to get a lock on it's position....one day it's near Japan, the next the east coast of the United States....and we know it can not possibly move that fast."
"So, let me get this straight," Will said leaning up in his seat. "This ''airship'' has this entire tyrant army on it and the rest of whatevers left of the Union, pretty much all the eggs in one basket, and your telling me you can't find it because it's too fast? Does your military still have bi-planes or am I missing something?"

The suit looked at Will with disdain, as he slouched back into his seat.
"The blasted thing has ordinance up the demon hole..." he replied. "Every interceptor we send at it, it blows out of the sky. We can't get a cruiser or aircraft carrier within range due to attacks from it's airborne explosives....and ground is out of the question."
"What about a massive, joint attack against it?" MacGyvers asked.
"That would be something..." the suit replied. "If we could get a definite lock on where it currently is. We commit a large force to go out against it on one of it's false locations, we either will get lucky and take the damned thing out or we guessed wrong and the thing goes into the shadows for a while again."
"Well, what is your list of possible places it could be?" MacGyvers asked.
"Coast of France, the deserts of North Africa, and off the Pacific coast of South America...those were the last possible locations." the suit replied.
MacGyvers clicked his tongue, as looked at the still images of the tyrant army.
"Maybe...Will, you remember that Union base in South America...back before it splintered away from Umbrella Black?" MacGyvers said to Will, as he looked over the large map of the world before them.

"We could send recon teams out to those locations then," Will said sitting back up in his seat. "Whoever finds it first plants a tracking becon on it and radios the cavalry to come in and wipe it off the face of the Earth. I don't know how we'd get close enough to it....perhaps HALO jump on top of it?"
"...Will, you remember that Union base in South America...back before it splintered away from Umbrella Black?" MacGyvers said to Will.
"How could I forget. Didn't they team up with the locals there to try and take over the country?"
