as they neared the town, jazari forged ahead, quietly killing several thrall guards and their vampire masters. she waited just off the road for the rest of the group to catch up. she spoke quietly to qahnaarin, "After we've cleared falkreath I wan't to visit a group of people not far from here. I fell in with them like I fell in with the theives guild during the civil war. if they are still alive I'm sure they can help us."

[OoC :: I was waiting on Joey to post but apparently he isnt continuing with this one. BTW my character was heading toward Whiterun to intersect with you guys. Didn't know if the Falkreath thing was just a mention or if you all planned to be there for a while. So this post will probably be a bit short pending where you all plan to go from here. I will work with whatever though.]
Kroric made his trip down the mountain side with no more surprises. He passed a farm and the remains of a khajit camp. The camp must have abandoned their spot either to move inside the walls of Whiterun or perhaps they had been taken out by vampires. The mer made his way up to the first defense of the hold. Whiterun's layout had been well designed. A trail snaked its way up a hill that could be heavily armed if need be before ever coming close to the main gates. This area remained fully staffed and guarded by Whiterun's finest now.
"Halt!" Commanded a guard as the traveler approached.
Kroric did as he was told, he proved that he was not a vampire by showing his eyes and teeth. None there seemed to know the light spell, a simple spell that could easily detect vampires without needing to let them close enough to do any damage. He headed on up the hill with dozens of sets of eyes bearing down on him. They inspected him once more to make sure he wasnt simply trying to slip by and let the vamps in behind him at the gate before letting him through.
Once inside the town was fairly quiet. People could be seen quickly making their ways from point A to point B without interacting with others. Most of the activity came from the bar but even its festivities remained indoors. Kroric turned toward the armory to begin his resupply there. He had his daggers resharpened, his bow's string tightened, and purchased a quiver of arrows before heading on into town to receive a few potions and food. He made his way up to the higher level of Whiterun where he found a bench in a courtyard and took stock of his items. Ahead of him laid the stairs to the companions guild and to his left the levels that ascended the hill to Dragonsreach.

Qahnaarin lead the group silently into the city. The howl of the werewolf startled some of the vampire whelps. The group started quietly, killing off the patrols as they walked around. The most skilled of the Dawn Guard split off from the group to make sure that they cleared the town. They all met back at the door of the guard's bunk house. The group rushed in, catching every vampire off guard, and killing everyone inside. There were just a few more places left that vampires would be. On the table in the guard house, there was a stack of papers. Qahnaarin thumbed through, realizing that they were plans to overrun Whiterun. An army was on it's way from multiple sides and that the soldiers and the werewolf were the key to overrunning the city.
The plans explained that there was a secret entrance into the city. It led behind the enemy lines and after getting the werewolf to turn, he would tear the humans apart. They needed to clear out the jail and the Jarl's throne room.

Jazari silently put an arrow through the heads of the thralls guarding the Jarls throne room. as she creeped up she heard the vampires talking. she listened for a while, learning of the planned attack on whiterun, and the plan to use the secret entrance under the skyforge to overwhelm the town. after she heard enough she entered silently, she silently killed a few vampires before casting the vampires bane spell. as the vampires and vampire master were distracted and blinded, she quickly moved among them, beheading them. when she was done, she cleaned her blades, and moved quickly through the rest of the building, making sure it was empty. when she was sure the building was empty she went to tell qahnaarin of her discovery, when she found him, one look at the papers he was holding told her all she needed to know. "I can get to whiterun quickly, and warn the guard and the companions. I noticed a few horses out in the cemetary, I can take a couple and ride non-stop."

After resting for a while Kroric uprooted himself and headed up toward the Companion's Guild. He turned in front of their building and climbed the stairs to the Skyforge. He'd heard of the unmatched craftsmanship of it an its blacksmith but had never actually stopped by to see the forge itself. The large pool of embers glowed dark orange in the nightlight. The blacksmith worked away steadily paying no mind to Kroric as he marveled the forge.
A few moments later he paid greeting to the blacksmith and made his way to the far side to overlook the countryside. The eerie light of the false moon made strange shadows play across the land but Skyrim's true beauty still showed itself. It was then that Kroric noticed something was wrong. Shadows on his left behind the forge seemed to be collecting, growing larger. He strained his eyes to see what was going on but the darkness was too thick for his vision to penetrate. He considered a night vision spell but at the distance, the limited sight range would prove pointless. So he instead cast a light spell and launched it out over the darkness. The magical blue glow lit up the rocky terrain below.
It revealed a horrific sight a swarm of black cloaked vampires had gathered and were slipping in somewhere between large stones. Whiterun was about to be under siege. Kroric pulled his bow from his back and shouted over his shoulder. "Forge master! Go warn the guards vampires are breaking in from the back!" The old smith had fear in his eyes as he turned toward the stairs however before he could descend a team of baby vamps jumped up from behind a ledge and pinned him to the ground. "Dammit!" Kroric fired on the beasts but he was too late to save the man. More vampires could be seen surrounding the Companions Guild. This was not going to be pretty.
