I got my hands on an emulator, but my connection speed is a little too slow right now, so ill have to wait til I get back home to get one. Soon, everyone on RERPG can play. Even you, Manman.

Pretty sure that would be illegal distribution, Joey.

That's like saying 10000 people download a song from you, without charging them, is entirely legit. Which it isn't, because you've potentially caused a loss of money to the original publisher. You would be handing out software without the right to do so: Illegal Distribution. The Proboards ToS talks about it, the kind of ToS which deletes a forum because one of the terms has been breached.
Do it through PM or whatever other means, but advertising criminal activity in public on the forum has to stop.

At this point id like to formally apologize to everybody here on RERPG. Sorry for putting the entire site in jeopardy, wont happen again. If Proboards is watching this, I apologize to them, too, with all sincerity.

The soundtrack for any Resident Evil game has always had a trademark 'Safe Place' song to go along with the rest of the score. It's usually what is remembered most in each game considering it ends up being the most constant and different song. Revelations does away with save rooms like RE5, however Capcom have used the weapon customisation screen as a chance to add in a free-from-fear track. I quite like it, it's up there with RE3's save room theme for me. So far this game has been fantastic. Doing away with the forced co-op RE5 had gives back a certain character Resident Evil lost with the last title in the main series. It has much in common with RE1 that it nearly feels nostalgic. Plus the addition of new characters; I'm hoping Parker becomes a mainstay in the series, he has good personality, but it would be typical of him to end up like Barry, Rebecca, Carlos and Josh.

ugh... i want it so bad... i love the "safe zone" song. the background sounds like rain or maybe gently lapping waves. very enjoyable either way. cant wait to pick it up.
one question tho. is raid mode always available or is it unlocked after beating the game like mercs?

There is a menu called 'Missions' which is like a list of achievements shown in the game at all times. Completing missions rewards you certain things like firearms and custom parts to use in the Campaign; one of the rewards is Raid Mode levels. Finishing episode 1 to 3 unlocks Raid Mode levels 1 through to 7, and so forth. So it's semi available early on, but it doesn't spoil any of the later episodes which come up in the Campaign.
There are 20 Raid levels over all, and each one has two different modes called 'Trench' and something else. Only one of them is open to play at the moment, so I'm not sure when the other unlocks. I'm guessing the second level mode is more difficult.
While I'm at it, some other neat details are with available characters. There's 10 to unlock over all with each of their different outfits. At the moment only Chris' winter outfit, Jill's SCUBA outfit, and Parker's SCUBA outfit are available. Some characters have three outfits while others have two so it'll be interesting to see what becomes avaiable.
Weapons, custom parts, and ammo replenishment can be purchased in a store before utilized in an inventory screen before each game. The inventory is the same for every character, so each character doesn't have different weapons, etc. Although each character do have their own attributes. Such as Chris has 200% bonus damage to machineguns and 200% bonus damage to pistols.
Some items are rewarded at the end of a level, while smaller things can be picked up during a level or received if you do something special (I find killing an enemy in one hit rewards me with ammo, that sort of thing). Ammo is persistent between each level, so if you finish the level with only 30 SMG rounds you'll have that same ammount the next level you play. It's a good idea to purchase a replenishment from the store if you're low on ammo for a couple of your weapons.
There's also leveling for each character. I'm not sure if it's for each or all yet, but what it represents is your ability to use newer weapons. For example I was rewarded several M92Fs, same weapon, only different level. The higher the level the better the attributes with ammo, firing speed, and fire power. However if your character isn't the same level as that weapon you can't use it.
I think that sums up more of everything on my first observation. It's not really Mercenaries as we know these minigames to be.
If anything it's more like the Mercenaries mode from Resident Evil 3. For some of you it might be good to compare it to CoD: Black Ops zombie survival mode. You receive keys after killing a certain amount of enemies which unlocks other doors and such. It's probably far more linear than Blops Zombies, but it's the same principal. Whether it deepens any further in later levels is yet to be certain.

Wow, interesting concept. Would make Blops zombies really challenging if you could only open a door every couple waves or something, I still play like that sometimes. RE3 Survival was really different too, nice to see Capcom bring back things like that.

Just got the game, and all I can say is wow. I'm not even halfway through, nd I love the game.
The gameplay is just like in the demo. The monsters can prove difficult, and can waste your ammo/supplies quite easly if you bother to kill alot of them.
The difficulty is good. Right now I'm stuck on the first boss.
The horrer effect is good. I've gotten scared at some parts, and some of the monsters do scare me, like a certain fat first boss... *shivers*. But yeah awsome game so far.
