Anna was wiping at her now clean face with a towel when she'd walked into the room where Arc was discussing the Checkpoint. She heard him ensure her that he wouldn't let anything happen to the Checkpoint, which she knew already but when he mentioned making it personal if something did happen, she'd opened her mouth to agree, then Scott, not noticing her in the room, spoke instead.
"She's not worried about anyone in that Checkpoint. If she is, it's for a single damn person. I know her well."
The redhead shrugged off her jacket and scoffed. "It's true, only select people there are anyone I give a f*ck about but I'm still able to be concerned for another's safety. I'm not a damn animal," she explained. When Scott went to say something, his radio went off. He was needed to break up a fight in the entry way. He'd grunted and taken a glance at both survivors before leaving the room.
Waiting for him to leave, Anna pulled out the bottle of whisey she'd stored in her jacket pocket. Shaking it around a bit, she'd grinned.
"Yep, brand new and stolen. The best kinda liquor," she told Arc, plopping down in the seat near the desk. She'd kicked her legs up on it and leaned back in her chair.
"He'll probably come back to bother me more later. It is his room," she mentioned, gesturing toward the framed picture of a certain redhead and a baby girl on the night stand near the bed. She'd popped open the bottle and started taking a swig. It burnt going down her throat and felt hot dropping into her stomach. It sure as hell was relieving though.
"I need to get to Richard and Aryn, Arc. It's important that I do...it's very important. Once they're safe, I take them back to HQ somehow...then I'll head off with you to find this German guy. F*ck his world up for doin' this to you."

As Scott left, Arc sat down on the the bed. He was starting to feel a little dizzy, but that was just because the alcohol had all settled in now, and was already starting to fade away. The virus definitly had something to do with it, but regardless, it had him calm since he put the bottle to his lips, and he didnt get into any fights since getting past the gate. When Anna took out her own bottle, Arc did so as well, only finishing up the rest of his first. He wasnt worried about alcohol poisoning, his body broke it all down quick enough. Tossing the empty onto the bedside table, he was actually sick of drinking. The whole thing was gone in less then twenty minutes, but the taste in his mouth would last for the rest of the day. Still, it was better then the taste of blood, and thats all that mattered. The high percentage of alcohol had a medicinal effect on his insides, it was slowing down the mutation, at least for another day or so. But he knew it couldnt be stopped forever.
When Anna spoke about needed to get to her family, the ones she cared about anyways, Arc stood up straight, and spoke. "Than lets go, right now. We can sleep on the plane if we need to. Its gonna take some time, since I doubt it makes a direct flight to the Raccoon City Airport. Ive heard there was another city here in Canada, on the west coast, that has their airport under security as well. Probably goes back and forth from there to here, than to Vegas, than to Raccoon City. Looking at a seven hour flight, which is about the same amount of time it would us to drive down to Philly. If your worried about the checkpoint, than we should leave now. However you wanna get there is up to you, but we leave now."

Anna had been drinking down the bottle when Arc got up and explained the details of how to get back to Pennsylvania. He was right, they needed to get back ASAP. The flights and the way things were gave them atleast two days or maybe three to get where they needed to go. That was only if nothing goes wrong, which things always go wrong when it's not needed. She'd nodded and placed the bottle down on the desk.
"If you're really up for a flight that long without getting sick then, alright, let's get the hell outta here," she told him, getting onto her feet. As she did, she'd put the bottle away and grasped onto her jacket, slinging it over her shoulder as she'd looked at the Beretta in her grasp.
"I'm short on ammo though, prolly gonna see if I can pick something up on the way out. Just incase..." she muttered.
Suddenly there were gunshots out in the halls, people screaming and men yelling. Both Arc and Anna immediately turned their attention to the doorway where the upstart had been coming from. Outside and down the hall, there's been a man, grasping onto a woman from behind and nudging a gun up against the bottom of her chin. She'd been crying and shaking, pleading with him to let her go. There was a little boy crying just as hard, his arm being held by the man's.
"Help my son!" Please, God, help my son!" she cried out. The man had tightened his grip around her neck and fidgeted. He was sweating profusely and shaking as violently as she was.
"Shut the f*ck up! Shut up!" he yelled. Four soldiers had held their guns on the man and woman, urging him to drop the weapon and let them go. The crazy guy had shook his head, objecting and shoving the barrel further up the bottom of her chin. She'd squoze her eyes shut, tears streaming down and screaming.
Anna opened her door to see the soldiers and the man down the hall. Walking out with Arc behind her, she'd noticed the poor kid being kept hostage along side his mother.
"Christ.."
"I-I just want a f*cking plane! Get me on one of those planes! I need to go somehwere not here!" he yelled.
One of the soldier glanced at another whom was talking on a radio, before turning to him and shaking his head.
"Sir, we've got four functioning planes. All of them are gone for the afternoon, won't be back until later tonight...we can get you on a plane, just...just calm down!" the soldier told him.
The man shook his head again and threw the woman forward, shooting her in the back of the head and grasping the boy as a human shield. People screamed and the child watched terrified as his mother hit the ground with a thud. Soon after, he'd jammed the gun upto the child's cheek, look back at every soldier, singularly.
"I want a plane!"
Anna watched in horror as the scenes unfolded infront of her. She'd marched forward, pushing through the people and soldiers, trying to get upfront.

A plane would be easier, but Arc would feel more safe if they drove themselves, but whatever Anna thought was the best idea. Without thinking too much more about it for the time behind, he lay down on the bed, closing his eyes. The alcohol was definitly keeping himself calm, but motor skills thankfully began to kick back into gear now. He was always able to handle the bottle well, even from a young age. In South America, him and his unit always drank the best of the best, and it was mostly every night he didnt spend in trench under fire. It did its job, numb the pain, and kept him calm, nothing more, nothing less.
When the gunshots were fired in the hallway, Arc immediately jumped up from the bed, and moved for the door. Anna was already on her toes, and had it opened up, stepping outside of the room. There had been a large crowd of people blocking theyre sight, but from the very back, he could see there was some sort of hostage situation. More and more people began coming out of their rooms, and by this time, the man was near the exit door, locking it with a steel bar so none of the soldiers could get him from behind. Without even telling Anna, Arc moved back into the room, and sprinted out onto the balcony. A gunshot was fire, he knew that things werent good.
Leaping over the railing, Arc climbed over as far as he could, and then jumped across to the next. Again and again, he made his was around the building, and once he came around the corner, pulling himself up onto the northern side. Arc crawled through the window into the stairwell, and seeing three guards trying to get the door open, and pushed them to the side. "Step back!" The three of them had been knocked to the door, one even fell down the stairs, but before they could do anything, Arc slammed himself up against the door. In one moment, the steel doors had been forced off their hinges, and in the next moment, Arc raised up his point five oh Desert Eagle, taking a single shot at the man. The AE bullet hit him in the hand, completely blowing off its wrist, allowing soldiers to come in and subdue the criminal. Placing the gun back under his hood, Arc stood in place, just keep his eyes on Anna from under the dark hood.

The crowd of people screamed and dispersed, some fleeing back into their rooms, other leaving back to the airport terminals. A stray man had come running in to grab the boy, hugging him tightly and glancing up at Arc.
"Thank you...thank you...my son is safe because of you, thank you," he said through tears, looking down at his dead wife and errupting into loud sobs with his son, burying his son's head in his chest.
Anna walked into the scene and glanced down at the now broken family. Momentarily the body on the floor had shaped into another form, the husband and child into two others. She'd quickly shook her head and looked back at Arc.
"Gift and curse, huh?" she asked, numbly.
While the soldiers tried to hold the screaming psychopath down, he'd managed to squirm away, using his other hand to grab a firearm off the soldier's hip.
"No! No! NO!" he cried out, smacking one of the men upside the head with it and then elbowing the other. He then stood firmly, breathing sporadic and pointing the gun at Arc. Anna swore and kicked Arc back, stumbling backwards from where she stood when the bullet nailed the wall beside them. The agent unholstered her gun and sho off two rounds, striking him in the neck and then the head. The soldiers looked down at the body before looking begrudgingly at both Arc and Anna.
Aware of the looks they'd gotten, she'd glared back at them.

The whole time after he fired the shot, Arc stood still. Watching the man who thanked him, he just looked at him too, not really sure what to tell him other than somebody had to do it. When Anna spoke to him, saying how his condition was a gift as well as a curse, he only responded with a slight tone of coldness. "Right, we need to go..." As his back was turned around, he heard a lot of talking from the crowd, and then felt a kick in his back. The mixture of not being ready for the cheap shot, and the alcohol, made him nearly fall to the ground himself. As Arc rolled over, two shots were fired, Anna killing the man dead. Under normal condition, he wouldnt thanked her, but at this moment, his thoughts were just the same. "...Stay here and talk to the soldiers, im going, ill meet you at the gate entrance."
While kept looking away Anna, the super soldier jumped over the railing, landing on the railing two floors down, and then let go until he hit the ground floor. There were too many people using the stairs, most of them running in fear for their own lives, this saved him time. After running through the lobby, Arc felt a sense of accomplishment, but he wanted to keep it to himself. As he ran through the airport, a grin over his face, he held the unopened bottle in his pocket, making sure it didnt fall out and break. Stopping near the back exit, Arc pushed through to the parking lot, and looked around. There had been quite a large amount of cars, most of them, but most of them looked as if they were parked for years, not surprisingly. He guessed nobody came back for them, and the military didnt get around to doing anything with them. Perfect.

Anna grinned smugly, spinning her beretta in her hand and holstering it. She'd turned to leave, no reason to explain anything. There wasn't a need for it, Arc saved a child that's all that should have mattered. When she'd took a step, her arm was grabbed by one of the men as he reached for handcuffs.
Another soldier put his mouth to the radio. "I need security to cover all exits. Infected hostile about average heigh, make, black hoodie and tactical gear. He was seen jumping out of the fourth story railing, headed toward the garage. Keep your weapons drawn, suspect's armed and dangerous," the soldier said before glancing at his captain.
Anna growled and when the man tried to unhook the first cufflink, she'd roundhouse kicked the bastard and spun him around, pulling him infront of her as the two others shot him full of lead. Luckily he was wearing armor. He reached for his assault rifle but Anna clipped it off with her knife, grasping it and carefully walking toward the fireescape. The soldiers walked after her, arms drawn when she'd kicked him forward and ran down the stairs, a hail of bullets spraying over her head as she turned down the spiral case.
She'd panted and jumped down to one of the landings, soldiers stopping halfway down the first landing and pointing down, shooting. The redhead covered her head and continued making her way on down.
"F*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck!" she shouted through pants.
Meanwhile in the garage, Scott had been witha team of others, searching for Arc. He'd shook his head and grumbled, cursing himself for trusting the shady bastard. He'd managed to wander away from the group in hopes of finding him and Anna before the others did. Moving between cars, crouched low, he'd barely caught a glimpse of him while looking beneath the cars undercarriages to see a set of feet.
It was only a single pair, meaning Anna was still upstairs somewhere. Moving toward him, he'd stopped half way, pulling his rifle on him and gesturing toward the east exit.
"Security's crawling around the building lookin' for you. What'd you do? Where's Anna?!" he whispere yelled. Little ways away near the west side of the massive garage, the soldiers were still searching, splitting intwo a team of four to comb through the place thoroughly.

After the initial gunfire came from deep inside the airport, Arc turned to face the side windows, seeing the muzzle flashes, a lot more than he care to keep track of. Not a minute after that, the alarm throughout the airport began to siren off, and he knew that something was wrong. Weaving in and out between the vehicles, he looked inside to try and find one that still had the keys in the ignition. Worst came to worst, he could most definitly hotwire, but it took some time. Time wasnt something they had on their side, and likely wouldnt if that alarm was for him.
Seeing an older model BMW, Arc tried for the door, and found it unlocked, and the keys resting on the dashboard. Before he could get inside however, he heard the footsteps, and then turned to see Scott holding his gun at him. Not really caring to answer his question, Arc seen the other soldiers on the other side of the parking lot, and then he knew for sure they were after him. Turning to face the man again, he walked forward slowly, speaking out. "Shoot me, go ahead, im right here." Grabbing onto the barrel of the assault rifle, he pushed it upwards, but the bullet began to spray just as quickly. Only one managed to graze him in the shoulder, but quicker than he even noticed, Arc had disarmed him, ejected the magazine, and drove the stock into his chest. With the soldier winded on the ground, Arc tossed the gun aside, and than smashed in the window to open up the door.
Quickly, Arc popped the trunk, and then got out. He lift Annas friend up with both arms, throwing him inside, and closing it down. Muffled, angered yells could be heard, but none of them were audible, not did he really care at this moment. Several more yells had came from the other side of the parking lot, and as Arc moved back around the car, he seen that it was another group of soldiers alerted to the scene. He was about to call out to them, try to reason with them, but when they raised their weapons and charged closed, Arc felt that the reasonable option was now completely out of the question.
Gunfire quickly began hitting the side of the car, but as the engine turned on, Arc whipped around and sped toward the group of soldiers. They jumped out of the way to avoid being hit, but sharply fired at the tired, making impact. Still managing to drift around the corner, Arc slammed on the gas, keep one hand steady on the wheel, and using his free hand to operate the stick. As he sped away, however, he felt several bumps, realizing that his two back tired had been shot out and he was now riding on the rims. As the car drove by the front of the airport, he scanned his eyes, trying to see if Anna was anywhere in sight.
Not five minutes later, the black BMW rolled up close to the entrance to the airport, he main gate. More than just a handful of soldiers had all aimed their guns toward it, all with the intention of shooting. "Step out of the vehicle, and show us your hands, or we will open fire, understood!?" But the doors never opened, even the soldiers in the towers were down on the ground, now attempting to surround the vehicle, make sure the target didnt even so much as exit through the trunk, or anything clever. "This is your final warning, come out with your hands up!" The trunk had opened up, and just before one of the soldiers could fire, Scott climbed out, a little disoriented from being locked in a trunk, but unharmed. "The monster locked me in here, just start shooting until its dead!"
The soldiers had all trained their guns on the vehicle. Two on the drivers side window, two at the windshield, and even two on each of the back windows to make sure it wasnt on the floor in cover. "...Two!... One!..." In that instant, the car had been riddled with bullets, glass and shards of metal falling to the ground around it. After a good ten seconds, the gunfire ceased, but when Scott checked to make sure they had killed the BOW, he kicked the bumper in anger. "What the f*ck?! Hes gone! Get this airport on lockdown, now!"

Elsewhere inside the airport, security had been running through the terminals, assault rifles in their grasp as they'd scanned through the terminals, hotel and garage. Two men had been patrolling the narrow hall that lead to the bathrooms and recreational area, one listening to orders through his headset, the other checking his clip. As they'd walked on, the agent had been hiding in a nook between a row of payphones and a pillar with dated newpaper cases set up.
"Negative, there are no signs of either hostiles. It's clear," she heard one of them say as the other soldier walked on pass, leaving his partner unaccompanied behind. When the one with the headset gone by, Anna had struck him in the back of the head with the rifle she'd acquire earlier. He'd dropped hard, bleeding from the back of the head.
Moving over him, she'd grasped onto his rifle and sling it over her other shoulder, wandering off into the recreational area before quickly retracting behind another pillar, three other men passing on by.
"F*ckin' eh," she grunted, pressing her back up against the pillar. Suddenly there was a voice, yelling that someone knocked out "Harris". She'd grimaced, cursing herself for forgetting to pull him in the nook. The other three men had started sprinting in her direction to to hall, forcing Anna to slip onto the other side of the pillar out of their sight.
A click was heard and she'd looked over to see a man further back toward the East entry of the terminals, pointing his weapon at her. "Drop your gun!"
The redhead clicked her tongue and darted for the reception counters as he shot off at her. She'd leapt onto a coffee table, onto a chair, which wibbled underneath her before diving behind said counters, crashing into the floor with a loud thud. The other men had re-entered the room, shooting at the counter where the other man had.
Anna crouched down behind it, holding the rifle up and checking the clip before reattatching it. There'd suddenly been silence, the sounds of clacking on the floor. They were reloading. Taking the chance, she'd gotten upto her feet and took shots at them, spraying thr first two in bullets and sending them into the man behind them. The remaining two took cover behind two of the very pillars she'd been behind moments before.
"Where the hell is Arc...?" she grumbled, listening to the two men call for reinforcements. She'd wasted an entire clip taking out most of the them in the room, having done that, she threw it aside, unholstering her beretta to conserve the ammo in the other rifle. She'd turned back around to face the counter, barely peeking over it to see one of the soldier's arms slip out of cover, unknowingly. She'd pointed the gun at the wall on the opposite side of them, sending off a shot, both men had gotten out of cover to shoot at where they'd thought the shooter had come from. The agent lurked around the corner of the desk, taking shots at the back of the nearest one's head, killing him instantly.
The other soldier had spun around to shoot at her but she'd dove back into cover, heart racing. "One more to go before th cavalry shows."

When the soldiers had all ran back to the airport, most likely for backup, the ones out front had returned to the tower. As the air looked around from the high point, trying to get a good view of where the target might be and to make sure he wasnt cross the runway to the treeline, Arc peeked in through the railing on the outside. He had been holding onto the bottom grate the whole time in the tower, it was surprising how easy it was for him to scale the gate in the first place without anybody even noticing. In a heartbeat, he couldnt gotten out of this situation himself, but Arc couldnt leave without Anna.
Pulling himself up and over the railing, Arc grabbed hold of one of the soldiers, using him to hang off the side while pressing his neck into the bar. Within three seconds, he neck had snapped quietly, and he rolled up onto the top once again out of sight. When the second guard came out to investigate the disappearance of his partner, Arc grabbed him from behind, covering his mouth and holding the blade to his neck. "Put in the code, and open the emergency gate, only going to ask you once." When the man reached for his own knife, Arc ripped it from his hand, and then used the blade to pin his palm to the table beside the terminal. "One three two five five!" After the code was put in, Arc jumped out of the tower, and the guard quickly called for backup on his radio.
EMERGENCY GATES NOW OPENING, PLEASE PREPARE FOR EVACUATION OVERRIDE.
Smashing the window into a security cruiser not far from the tower, Arc climbed through into the drivers seat, turning the key that was already in the ignition. Within fifteen seconds, the emergency alarm had stopped, and he was now positive that they caught on to why the doors opened. But, however, Anna wouldve heard the warning, and knew that he was ready to meet her at the gate. The cruiser drove around the side of the building, and when Arc was out from, he turned on the sirens three times in rapid succession.

Anna had been in a the middle of a gun fight with six other security men. She was running dangerously low on ammunition when alarms began to blare throughout the entire vicinity. The Emergency gates were opening somewhere and it sent the soldiers into a frenzy, enough for them to discuss retreat inorder to get to whom could only be Arc. The bigger fish to fry.
"What about this b*tch? We can't just let her get away."
"Leave her. I'll take care of her."
The men glanced over at their Sergeant and nodded before running off. Surely he'd be capable of handling the agent. As they'd retreated, Anna grinned.
"I'm gettin outta here with my buddy. Can't stop me from that," she told him. The sergeant removed his helmet and smirked.
"I ain't stoppin' ya. I'm helpin' ya." he responded, lowering his weapon and wandering over the counter, leaning on it to look down at the redhead. Agent McGraw galnced up at Scott and stood to his feet.
"Where's Arc?"
He gestured elsewhere. "Distracting the guards. C'mon, we can take another route to meet up with him," he told her, grasping her wrist and pulling her toward the opposite direction of the building. Anna glared at him, pushing the Beretta into the small of his back.
"Don't f*ck with me, Scott," she warned in a dark tone.
The man smirked and kept running forward down the hall. The terminals still had some soldiers on patrol. Stopping at the corner of the hall, he'd turned over to Anna, slapping a cuff on her. "Your Beretta is empty. You've got no ammo for it, either." he told her, keeping count of the bullets she'd shed earlier with the others. When he reached for the other arm, Anna growled and turned her cuffed elbow on him, striking him in the side of his face. He lost his grip on her, dazed but managed to grasp onto her other arm, regaining his composure.
"Ow, s***, woman...I can't just walk through the terminals with you walking behind me like nothing happened. Just trust me, sh*t..."

After sitting outside of the front terminal for a good minute so, Arc was a little worried that something happened to his friend Anna. While still keeping the car and light on, but not the sirens, he stepped out of the police cruiser, and ran around to the front of the building. Drawing out his large pistol, Arc kicked open the main doors, aiming it up and down quickly. Nobody was in sight, all of the other civilians mustve been inside the hotel, part of the lockdown prcedure he guessed.
From where Anna had been in the first place, versus where Arc was standing, it would make sense for her to be coming out of this door, so he would wait. Scanning the entire area for signs of recent gunfire, footsteps, human smell, and even BOW to be safe, Arc could hear several bodies coming from the eastern wing. Aiming his desert eagle forward, he aimed until he picked up her scent, and the second she and Scott were in close enough range, he yelled out to make sure she heard him this time. "Anna, we have to go, hurry up!" In that moment, one of the dead soldiers on the group had gotten up, holding his sidearm with one hand toward Arc. Firing the entire magazine blindly in his direction, Arc soaked five of the shots before finishing his life with a thunderous blast from his point five oh. Luckily, he was wearing a vest, and was certain that none of the bullets got through.

When the Anna finally made it to the vehicle, she'd watched as a soldier gotten up from among the other corpses and blindly began shooting at the vehicle and Arc. Her eyes widened and mouth opened to scream out for her friend when Scott grabbed her arm visciously, undoing the cuffs while the other living soldiers came from behind. He'd pushed his mouth near her ear that very minute.
"Hit me in the face."
Didn't have to tell her twice, she'd taken his Beretta from his hip holster, smacking him upside the head with it and covering her head to avoid being shot at. Arc screamed for her again, leaning over to open the door for her. She'd dove inside and as she did, she'd grasped onto the belts tightly, as the vehicle jerked forward, violently, speeding off into the entrance of the airport. She kept her head ducked low while the remaining soldiers shot at them, that is, until their fallen comrades began to rattle and move beneath them.
From there, Anna managed to lean over, slam the door shut and stare blankly out the windshield for a moment or two of silence. Her heart felt like it was clamouring against her ribs and her adrenaline rush had sky rocketed along with probably her blood pressure. A stretch of silence between the two before she burst into a fit of laughter, checking herself over.
"I'll be f*ckin' damned! We made it outta that warzone single handedly! Can you f*ckin' believe it?!" she asked, looking over at Arc. She'd suddenly frowned and felt like she'd been punched in the stomach as it dawned on her. She'd just left Scott back there to rot. He saved them both today and they'd left 'im there.
She felt a little remorse but the more she lingered on it, the more she'd known it was for the greater good. The greater good being her and Arc's life being spared to save Richard and Aryn's later. Still, she felt like a massive jerk off.

When the police cruiser had pulled away from the front entrance of the airport terminal, Arc kept his hands on wheel, and his focus in front of him. He listened to Anna speak, but ignored her question to let her think about what they just did. The gunfire, the kill, the loss of all those soldiers just trying to do their job, it wasnt something to be proud of. Arc was a little surprised that Anna practically didnt even care the slightest, the only reason he had the feeling right now was because he never once lost his control. Feeling every single one of his actions was made just to get Anna and himself out of there without killing the entire military population, Arc spoke out in a very cold, but truthful voice. "None of this wouldve happened if we just let that lunatic kill that kid, too. The military wouldve been able to take a clean shot, and that little boy wouldnt have to go through this horrific world. He doesnt belong here, no child does."
As he spoke, the car came to a complete stop, and Arc lay back in the seat. It wasnt regret that took over, it was the feeling that things were about to get a lot worse. At the exit gate he was driving toward, there had been a road block of large military trucks. There wasnt a chance of the cruise slipping by, or even plowing through them, and the main gate was closed now. The wall on the parimeter of the airport was too thick to get through, and even if it was, he wouldnt dare risk the outside world getting inside the safezone, just so they could escape. Arc sat back, and just thought about what they could do. Every moment they stayed in the car, the soldiers had been walking toward them from the side of the building. Arc knew there wasnt much choice left in the matter, he had to be the distraction while Anna sneaked through. "...Ill see ya on the other side..." Opening up the door, Arc ran off into a sprint, bullets whizzing by him and richocheing across the pavement behind him.

While Arc spoke, he seemed to be a little upset with her. Or atleast, that's how she felt. It didn't bother her because quite frankly, she didn't give a rat's ass who got killed and who didn't, so long as it wasn't her or the people she cared about. Sure she hated having to kill some of those guards, living being, but they started it with their ignorance.
As they drove on, she'd glanced at her friend, concerned. "No child deserves this but no child deserves to die, either," she began. "He is all his father has left. You could see it in his eyes when he thanked you and held him close. You did the right thing, you showed your humanity. Those security guards didn't trust us from the get-go, were lookin' for a reason to pull a gun on us. It was their own ignorance that killed them. Not like the civilians got hurt, just security," she explained. She was being rational with him and somewhere inside, he knew it.
"I'm not justifying our actions and I wasn't trying to sound proud but yeah, I was damned happy we didn't get killed."
That said, he'd began to slow the car down at a roadblock near the gates of the airport. They both peered out at them as they'd come from around the building outside. She'd swore under breath, trying to figure out just what to do about the guards when Arc jumped out the driver's side. He'd muttered something to her she couldn't quite make out and ran off, the sounds of a warzone thundering in her ears once more. She'd ducked low in the seat when two guards came to look inside of the car.
When he was near, gun drawn, he'd leaned over to loo inside the window only to have Anna grasp onto the lever of the door and push it down, swinging it open and slamming into him, knocking him off his feet and dropping his firearm. She'd grasped onto it as the other soldier had opened fire from the other side of the car. She'd crawled out and as the fallen man tried to get up, she'd frowned.
"No hard feelings!" she told him before smacking him upside the head with his own weapon. The other security guard stopped to reload and as he did, moving cautiously around the car, Anna laid flat on the cement, crawling beneath it. The security guard went around to where once was but couldn't see her. Confused, the redhead held her gun steady, pointing her firearm from underneath it's under carriage and shooting into his shins.
The man screamed and collapsed on the ground, dropping his rifle and holding onto his legs in agony. She'd crawled out from the otherside, ran around, kicked the rifle away and ran off to the smaller building that opened the gates. Getting inside, she'd slammed her hand on the button, the gates noisily pulling open. Running back out of the building, she'd hopped inside the car again and drove out before the gate began to automatically close behind her.
She'd sighed and looked through the rearview mirror to see whether or not Arc could be seen somewhere not far back, but she didn't even see anymore guards, prolly too busy shooting at him, elsewhere. She knew it wasn't wise to go back and get caught up in it, besides she'd just get in Arc's way. Her feelings said otherwise. He was her friend and leaving him ebhind regardless of what he was capable of doing was stupid. She'd groaned and drove further down the road until she'd found a massive billboard. She'd pulled up behind it and parked there.
Sitting there for a bit, she'd kept her hands on the steering wheel, lowering her head and nudging her forehead up against them. Suddenly the sounds of slamming on the window had brought her out of her thoughts, turned to the passenger's side, and undead had crept out from the bushes, beating on the window with bloody, leathery hands.
Rolling down the window with the button on the driver's side, it's groaned and pushed it's upperbody in only to get a bullet inbetween it's eyes. The redhead lowered the gun and groaned before leaning over to shove it out of the window.
"You better be a f*cking live, Arc," she grumbled, rolling the window up and getting out from the driver's side. She gotten out of the car and took the keys with her, slipping them in the coat pocket before grasping at a shotgun left in the back of the car. With that, she'd began backtrekking to the airport's outer gardens to see if she could find him.
