Running as fast as his legs could carry him, Arc sprinted away from the airport about a minute or so after Anna drove to safety. After a good five minutes of running, he slowed down, feeling his vision start to turn blurry, and red. He was putting too much strain on himself, but when the gunshot rang out in the distance, he had a good reason to keep moving quickly. Seeing a figure walking down the road in the distance of the narrow highway, Arc stopped not only to watch his breath, but to see if he could sense whether or not it was Anna. Breathing in, and then out, he calmed himself down, and then focused. Within a few seconds, he tracked the recent scent of car exaust, and knew that it was definitly his friend.
The highway was leading into some forest greenery, lots of Canadas landscape had been like this, at least on the east coast. It was very similer to the USA, only much colder. Even though it was the middle of the day, it felt like late fall. When Arc got closer to Anna, he spoke first when he was in earshot. Making sure that it was normal human earshot, too. "Lets not go back there... Ever."

Anna heard the voice behind her and when she'd stopped, mid-step, she'd laughed slightly, turning to face him. "I can't make you any promises," she told him, shrugging a bit. When he'd started walking her pace, along side her, she'd continued moving along and glancing back and fourth at the highway. There was practically a graveyard of vehicles along the highway. It was deathly silent the flap of bird wings had been the only sound beside the duo's resounding steps.
The redhead grimaced, her stomach grumbling pretty loudly. "Damn, we never got anything to eat, did we?" she asked, keeping her eyes on the cars they'd passed. There'd been corpses inside of them, strangely, they weren't reanimated. Uneasy, Anna had came across an old Buick with a body hanging out of it, it's lower half confined to the tangled seatbelt around it's waist. It was so decayed it was practically see through.
"Sucks..." she grumbled before flinching when it's eyes shifted toward her. A monotone groan emitted from it's mouth as it's skeletal fingers began to twitch.

When Anna mentioned that she was hungry, Arc had a big thought in his head that he kept to himself. In the last few weeks, he never ate anything at all, nor did he feel hungry to eat. The virus on the inside mustve robbed him of the need. However, on the same note, it was anything humane that he had cravings for. He was much like the infected hanging out of the window, now reaching out for Anna in hopes of getting a bite to eat. Thats what Arc craved, whether he wanted to or not. Back when he was with the other group he met, he turned on one of their partners, and had eaten parts of her. Or so thats what he was told, and what he gathered from the crime seen when he came to his senses. This was his secret that would be sheltered from the world. It was one thing that he was already a monster, but he wanted to differenciate himself from the walkers, otherwise the gray area would start to disappear.
"Me neither... Im sure well find a town to scavenge for food somewhere between here and Stoneville. I dont think the cruiser is gonna have enough gas to even get use there, so were gonna have to stop along the way at some point, anyways. Hopefully sooner rather than later, id like to be prepared in care we do have to walk the rest of the way." Arc knew the possibility that they werent going to find gas was pretty high, they had a higher chance of finding another car to swap for the cruiser. At least the police radio still worked, they could broadcast on any major frequencies, try to contact any other survivors. Canada couldnt have been hit as bad as the USA, they wouldve had time to gather supplies, hold out longer. Not to mention the much, much lower population difference. "Lets not worry too much and just keep driving, cross that bridge when we come to it."
