Sniffing at her can a few times before downing most of it without a word, Colleen set it to the side, and finished up her work with the shotgun, checking the slide a few more times before finally loading it, and slipping it along the small of her back where an open pocket from the vest snugged it in place between herself and her pack, "Kal... you're not thinking."
Wiping her hands clean, she looked outside, "Mickey should wait close to the door and cover us. If she sees or hears something she can call out and warn us before it's too late. We're going to be busy moving bodies. If we're out of view, you can fire off a shot to let us know there's trouble. If it's too bad... get in the door, lock it behind you. Don't come looking for us."
That being said, she pushed herself off the countertop, and opened the door outside, drawing the chopped-down assault rifle in one hand and a flashlight in the other, "Just grab one by the arm and drag-haul it to the other side of the street, inside whatever you can. Make sure to check the body first... if it moves, put a round through the skull, and then haul it off. Simple." Smiling and winking at Kal as she moved to the first body, and gave it a hard kick to the side... then with her flashlight hand grabbed one of it's arms and started dragging it.

Kal sighed, and grabbed a zombie, and dragged it to the building, seeing that Colleen had already had 2 over, and was at her third. He wasn't embarrassed, mostly because there wasn't time. He got more inside, and smelt fresh blood. "Zombies," he whispered. He grabbed the odor grenade out of his pocket, and dropped it inside the building when the rest were in, getting rid of the blood smell. He dropped another outside the store, and went in after Colleen.
"Girls, I smelt fresh blood outside while I was bringing in the bodies, as if there was recently a feast. The smell from your kills was gone, but I smelt more, like there was a large group of them. If you hear or smell anything, don't be afraid to..." Kal almost finished his sentence, when he got a huge whiff of rotting flesh. "It is coming from the vents. I don't think they climbed in, but they may be close. We need to be ready. Mickey, please bring Chelsea to the back. We need to make sure they don't find a way in."
Kal loaded his crossbow with a bolt, and put some more into his pocket. "Von, can I get a deal on crossbow bolts today?"[Sorry, Kal tries to keep his sense of humor in the fray to stay calm.]

Mickey placed the pacifier she purchased into Chelsea's little mouth and, while the baby sucked, placed her back into the carrier. With little help, Mickey placed the carrier onto her back. She felt Chelsea sucking on the pacifier and playing with the little bunny. The child was pleased, but Mickey didn't feel right about leaving her alone. Not when there was a chance that she wouldn't be able to be saved from some sort of unexpected attack.
The diaper bag was left behind but the extra magazines were placed in the little holders on Mickey's belt and she held the kitchen knife from the restaurant in one hand and the pistol in another. "Chelsea will be fine with me. I'll watch the door while you two can take care of everything else. It's no problem." Mickey announced.

Colleen smirked a little bit, "You'd be better off with a compound bow... more kinetic power behind them anyways, kid."
Taking a few moments to sniff the air, she then racked the shotgun's slide and began feeding in the shells, pocketting the rest in groups of six in different pockets on one side of the vest, spare 9mm magazines going into another, and the two fresh 5.56 mags into a third, making the thing bulge oddly here and there, "You two stay here... I'm going to go check the back and the storage areas. Mister Von, the keys if you will? I promise I'll bring them back."
Projecting relative bravado, the BSAA operative began moving back towards the storage and break areas of the store, moving slowly but with purpose, eyes and muzzle moving in tandem, leaving her back to the clear area.

"I'll be fine with this, and I have both hands free, thanks to the mod I've made." Kal peeked out the door, and saw that some zombies were starting to reach the front. He quickly shut the door, and watched as Colleen headed towards the back. He stood ready fire, as moans grew louder and stronger.

Kicking the door to the storage and break areas of the store open, Colleen disappeared inside.
Gunfire.
The chatter of her compact assault rifle, then the bellow of a shotgun to follow, both going for several seconds. Finally her back appeared in the doorframe, and she was cradling the shotgun in one arm, the other with one of her twin pistols drawn and loosing a volley of shots before finally holstering and yanking the door closed.
"Someone... or something... opened the loading door in the back. I noted a dozen, but there might be more. I got at least six kills, knocked a bunch of the rest around."
Not stopping for a moment she made her way to one of the shelf units, and began to push it in the way under the lever-catch, "Watch the front. Might be some more on the way. Either way we might not be able to hold this position for the night. We need an apartment building, or some place where we can bottleneck them, or easily seal ourselves in until morning."

(OOC - Hello? Anyone there? I don't want the thread to die, but if it's tapered off this much, I can always have Colleen leave so you two can do it on your own?)

Mickey nodded and stood by the front door with the gun in her arms, pointing at any zombies that would come near the store. She then heard the mention of an apartment building that could be used. It gave her an idea.
"If you need an apartment building, we can always go to my apartment. It's on the City Centre and I live on the sixth floor with a roommate of mine. It should still be open, but I can't say how safe it is." Mickey called back just loudly enough for Colleen to hear her but not so loudly that she would call a large crowd of zombies.

"That sounds alright, but we need to clear an entrance, and get out fast. Von, I'm not taking no for an answer this time. You're coming." Kal grabbed 3 grenades from the front, and brought them to the back, where Colleen had been shooting. He threw them all back, and closed the door quickly.
*Boom*
Kal reopened the door, and saw that the grenades did the trick. "We're gonna have to get out of here quickly. Those zombies are cooked fresh, and the buffet is about to begin!" Kal grabbed a crowbar near the stock area, and checked the box labels for items that may be important. He cracked open cases with ammo and other useful items, and picked up a pistol like his own. He grabbed a crossbow bolt case, another pistol holster, a red dot targeter, and a second silencer for his new pistol. He strapped the second holster and the bolt case to his belt, and put 40 .45 magazines into his pack and 100 bolts into his bolt case. He didn't see anything else that he could use too easily, but saw a cell phone near one of the zombies. He picked it up and put it in his pocket.
After getting Fangren and his bike, Kal met the others at the back. "Good, Von listened. Alright, which way to your apartment?"

Making her way quickly to her bike, she checked the level of the gas, and then looked around quickly. A couple gallon-cans that the old general store owner had sitting there were dumped into her tank to top it off, "Hop on, Mickey." Said as she unhooked the helmet from the back of the bike and passed it over to the younger woman, "Wear this... should fit fine. We're not going anyplace fast."
The shotgun was quickly reloaded and stuffed into the improvised slot under the saddlebags hooked to the back, and the spare ammo she could grab was crammed into place, whatever she could sweep into it quickly, along with a dozen MREs and some bottles of water. The packs bulging, and the weapons all finally reloaded, from her new shotgun, to the pistols, to the cut-down assault rifle on her hip, she nodded to the others and rumbled her way up to the back door, "Whatever you do, Mickey... don't let go."

"Umm, Cougar? How will Von keep up if the 3 of us are on our bikes?"
"It's okay. I have my own Motorcycle. I'll get it." Kal watched as Von took his bike out from the crates.
"All right, that's good. I guess that we're all set to go. Mickey, you ready?"

Colleen let a turn of her head hide the roll of her eyes, "She's wearing a backpack-style baby harness, which means it's reversable. If she wants to wear Chelsea up front she can just hold on more lightly to my back so my gear doesn't rub against her. If she wears her on the back, we should be fine. We're not going far. She can even use one of the bandanas off the rack there to cover her head."
Frowning a bit at the young man, the older woman added, "Overthinking things is just as bad as underthinking them... and so is treating other people like they don't know what the hell they're doing. Give Mickey some trust!"

[Um, I modified the post. I forgot that Mickey had placed Chelsea back on the carrier on her back.]

Mickey quickly turned the harness from the back to the front. It would be easier and less stressful for Mickey. If one of those things grabbed her from behind, she couldn't protect Chelsea and if Mickey fell off the motorcycle while Chelsea was on the back, the baby would die by being crushed. At least in the front Mickey could protect that baby with her arms.
Chelsea was sleeping soundly in the pack so extra noise wouldn't be that much of a problem. The knife and gun were placed into the diaper bag and as soon as that was completed, Mickey climbed onto the motorcycle after Chelsea. She was a little unsure about getting onto the thing. Back home, her friends got hurt by riding on motorcycles, but she shook off the thought and made herself get on.
"It's all right. I'm ready to go."

Giving Mickey some more time to settle on the back of the bike, Colleen began to walk it out through the back, hand on the center of the handlebars, while keeping one of her pistols at the ready in case they would be attacked. Making her way along slowly, shifting her eyes back and forth until the dim light of the outdoors made their way to her eyes, Colleen said to the others, "Keep it low and steady... but make for the city center if we get seperated... good luck."
Gunning the motor up to 30 mph, Cougar holstered her pistol, gripped the bike, and then leaned into it to give Mickey better space.
