Anna squinted at the little Irishman before seating herself across from Arc, arm propped up on the table as she looked around at the people eating, laughing, talking. It was so...weird. If that made any sense at all, which she could only assume to Arc that it would. It appeared he was thinking the same thing as he shared about the same expression when he onlooked the entire tent.
It smelled so good in there almost like meat with actual seasonings. It was such a welcoming scent that Anna had nearly salivated. When the man came back with drinks, he's notified them that they were cooking seasoned deer. Anna had felt her stomach suddenly churn as she sighed.
"So much for my apetite now..." she muttered when he'd left. She'd looked down at the water and grunted, digging through the duffel bag, putting the bottle inside and pulling out a different one. A glass bottle wrapped in newspaper.
"Look what I looted from the rednecks, good ol fashion whiskey, want a drink? It might burn your senses long enough to not taste deer meat," she joked, unscrewing the top and taking a hard swig of it.
It burned going down her throat but it was refreshing and it would definitely lighten up the mood. Hopefully it wouldn't mess with her aim, but she had a shotgun, you don't really need to be a marksmen to kill something with one of those.
Passing it over, she grinned shaking the bottle around infront of Arc. "Come on, take a drink," she said.

"Yeah, yeah thats its. Deer steaks for the two of you, on the house, yeah? Gimme a proper five minutes, just hold on now." As the man left, Arc sat down in the chair, a little uncomfortable. But, it was safe here, thats all that mattered. Back far in the tent, they were in a private spot, minus the people in the large tent with them. For once, it felt normal, like nothing had even happened, everything was going on just as it was before the outbreak. When the bottle of whiskey was introduced, Arc rubbed his eyes, and then calmly turned it down. "I dont think its a good idea, not for me..." Soon after, Anna insisted that he take a drink, and than found himself in an awkward situation. It wasnt because he was doing something he didnt want to be doing, it wasnt a mixture of all of the things happening quickly, and it certainly wasnt this restraunt. It was that he was smiling. "F*ck it. Tonight, we drink..." Lifting the bottle, Arc took three swigs of it, mouthfuls swallowing hardy after each. Placing it back on the table, he look at Anna, and then spoke again. "Actually, I could go for some deer meat, myself."Thats when the Irishman came back to the table, and sat down across from them, not holding any food what so ever. Arc looked at him, a little angry, and wondering what he was up to. The man just looked at them both, back and forth, and then spoke out. "Border jumpers, from outside the fence, you two are. You know how much trouble I could get in for not reporting you both right now?" Arc had looked at the guy with stern eyebrows, but before he could say anything, and before Anna could say anything, the man spoke again. "So whats it gonna take for me to turn my back on you two, huh? Whatya got with yas? Yeah, this is me, blackmailing you."[Enter Danny McReary]

Anna glared at the man and took another swig of the large bottle before wiping her mouth with the back of her sleeve. He was a forward little bastard, she'd give em that much. The only real valuable crap they had was this big ass whiskey bottle and ammo. She didn't feel like parting with both.
"I got something real nice fer ya, Lucky Charms...." she began before suddenly stopping herself and pinching the bridge of her nose. She didn't need to draw more attention to Arc so she suddenly coughed up a nicer attitude. She really wanted to end that sentence with, '..a swift kick in the ass.' but seeing as how Arc's secret was in jeapordy, she sighed again.
"What do you want?" she asked, taking another drink. Incase he wanted her booze, she was gonna drink the s*** out of it every chance she got before she'd give it up. f**k that irish guy.

Danny sat in the same pose, just looking at both of the survivors at the table. He waited for a response, wondering which of the two would speak first. Turns out, his little inside bet had been right, it was the woman, just in luck. Looking at the bottle of alcahol, Danny looked over at the larger fella, and than back to the woman. "Ya know what I want? I want a nice piece of that fine, fine a--" Danny had been cut off, mid sentence, when the taller man stood up from the table in front of him. Danny stood up at the same time, just staring the man in the eyes. "Oh, im sorry, are you two together? Than my apologies, I was under the impression that you were--" Again, Danny was cut off, but this time by a fist.
Arc threw his fist at the man, smack in the jaw, knocking him to the ground. From the music and the night crew partying, nobody had even noticed them back in the corner of the tent. Jumping around the table, Arc picked up the man by the throat, taking him back onto his feet, but not letting go of his grip. "You better back off before I end you, right here and now!" Dropping the man back onto the ground, Arc let go, but kept his eyes trained on him. Just as the rage took over, he sat back down in his seat, and threw the hood back over his head.
Danny breathed, but the whole time, had been smiling to himself. The man was crazy, and he knew it, but this guy was something else. Rubbing his neck, and caughing several time, Danny spoke out in a more professional manner. It was time to get down to some real business, the only kind he knew. "Alright alright, I apologize, fellas, I didnt mean no harm, honestly. To be honest, ive had a few drinks, and not responsible for my actions. You got a mean set of hands on you, boyo, and your lady friend here looks like shes ready to do something crazy. How would you two like in on a little underground event we got going here? Fight for survival, for food, supplies, you name it. Only the strongest can get in, and id be willing to vouch for you two..."
It wasnt everyday Danny found people to compete in the underground ring, the fighting ring, and just as he watched these two stroll by, got a good vibe from them. "...Theres a match going down tonight, midnight. If your interested, you show up. If not, im sorry to have bothered you. Ill be going on my way, now. That deer is on its way, promise from my heart." And with that, the man as gone.

As quick as the events picked up, they'd suddenly ended and not one sould noticed, save for the three that participated in it. Anna watched the irish man disappear in the crowds before bursting into laughter. It might have been hugely inappropriate and it may or may not have been the alcohol, but Anna couldn't help but find the entire scenario absolutely humourous.
"I swear, I thought he was gonna say he wanted my alcohol. I was prepared to shoot him point blank in the face..." she said before glancing back at her buddy across from her. He'd put his hood back up and she frowned.
"Aw man, not this again. Well, what do you want to do? I mean, hell in your state, you could prolly win us s*** tons of ammo, booze and food. The works if he's telling the truth. If you're not up to it, I could go duke it out in a few rounds," she suggested.
Hell it didn't seem to be such a bad idea in the first place. It'd blow off some steam and if the guy was telling the truth, there'd be some good prizes. Not like they had anywhere to go as of now.

Without even answering Anna, the hooded Arc just sat at the table, thinking to himself. His eyes had been glowing with rage, and he showed her this by looking up at her. It was making him even more and more angry that she could even think that it was an option, doing the one thing that Arc was dead set against. Sure, it would be for a good cause, but it would be risking his own condition, in front of a crowd. Not to mention probably not knowing when to stop if he did fall victim to his otherside, and potentially killing somebody just for the sake of a crowd. On the other hand, maybe it would be worth the ammunition, the supplies. Not like Anna and him weres sticking around here forever.
After calming down a little bit, Arc finally removed his hood, and spoke to Anna. "If we do this, you know the kind of risks were taking, right? Were gonna need a pair of sunglasses, something to cover my eyes. Im also gonna need you more than anything, motivation. Not to win, we already know im going to win, but to keep my calm during the fights..." Arc knew just by looking at Anna that she was down for this, and if she thought it was a good idea, than it was something that could be done. "...This is serious, I dont wanna make any mistakes. If were going at this thing, were going to be a pair, swap out when things get too rough. Gah, we dont even know the rules... This could be ugly. But, I think its worth a try if you do."

Anna had taken another drink and looked sternly into her friend's eyes a look that read, 'You bet your crazy infected ass,we can.' A lopsided smirk had played her featured when she'd reached into her holster pouch, pulling out a cigarette and a lighter. She'd stuck the cig between her lips and lit it, staring down at it before a sucking back a little nicotine and blew it outward.
Just another stress reliever that compliments the booze nicely. She listened intently to Arc's words when a lady had come to their table and placed two plated infront of them. Sure enough it was meat and potatoes. It looked pretty damn good too.
Waiting for the woman to finally walk away from earshot, Anna spoke abruptly. "I don't really think we've got anything left to lose," she told him frankly.
Arc picked at his food while Anna had began ripping into the meat like some sort of savage...well, it was more akin to what it looked like when zombie caught their prey. It was another long stretch of silence while the two had eaten. Anna tried to contemplate what sort of people she'd be put up against. She'd be insulted if they'd turned her on some wussy chicks since she wasn't exactly intimidating.
Then again if she was put against big, burly men, it'd certainly be a painful experience, not that she didn't think she couldn't win, but she knew she was still a woman. Men have more power than women, which also meant she'd just have to use agility more against those types of opponents.
Looking back at Arc, Anna had scratched at her cheek a little where her scarring was.
"I didn't mean to just put you out there in the fights like that because of your eh, problem. But it's survival of the fittest and you're the fittest," she said before adding, "Either way, I'm sorry."

As the food arrived to the table, Arc looked at it, wanting to just just gorge in. But for one, he wasnt even hungry, hadnt been for a long time. Seeing the fork, picking it up, it was the first time he had seen one in forever. The good steak knife had been resting on the plate, too. The familliar edges, not too sharp, as it was a very tender meat. As he cut into it, Arc slipped a piece into his mouth, but didnt touch much after that. Once Anna lit the cigarette, he looked over at her, and than finally held out his hand. "Do you mind?" Grinning a tad, Anna have him the cigarette, and Arc put it to his lips. After a slow inhale, he breathed it out, and than passed it back to her.
"Dont apologize. Just know that we need a plan to get out if something does go wrong. We dont know if this is a closed area, nor how many people are going to be there. If anything happens, I wanna be out of there in a heartbeat, so nobody has to get hurt. As for your shotgun, it not going to be near you when the fighting starts. Im actually surprised where allowed to carry them around in here, with all the military around. Just, have an escape plan, whether its with me or not..." As the last bit of the sentence was spoken in a little more serious tone then the rest, Arc took another few bites of his food. He would need to eat, free food, impossible to pass up.

Anna had finished the cigarette when she'd put it out on the fold out table they'd been seated at. She'd cleaned her plate and decided she'd spend the next hour letting her food digest and letting the alcohol settle in her system where as she was gonna finally take care of her wounds before infection.
Standing to her feet, she grasped ahold of her duffel bag and pointed toward the exit of the tent, gesturing that she was gonna go wander until they were ready for their fight.
"I'm gonna go fix up my wounds. Don't want to catch anything proll wont get any stitching until after the fights, in which case I'm gonna get my hands on some medical equipment for afterwards. You gonna hang here?" she asked.

Taking the time to actually eat the meal, Arc was halfway finished when Anna was completely done and ready to leave. "Just gonna stay here, might roam around a bit, we have four hours to kill. Just, try to stay clear of the soldiers... Please." Anna assured that she would, as long as he did too. Arc would be fine with his hood down, he just wanted to finish the meal, have a goof few hours without anything at all happening. When Anna left, he took the time to eat the rest of his food, and than rested back in the chair. Surprisingly, for the next twenty minutes, he was left alone.
After the meal, Arc stood up from the table, and walked to the bar. Pulling out two bottles of painkiller, he rang the bell, lay the down, and then left the tent with his hands in his pockets. The streets had been settling down now, not much rush going back and forth at all. Maybe it was more in a hurry when the morning came, but this night was calm. At each checkpoint he passed by, Arc would peer at the soldiers, protecting the place. In a worst case scenario, they would have things under control, but it was a lot less security than he thought.
Arc saw a man walking ahead of him, and eventually rest his bag down while he used one of the outhouses off in an ally. Without making too much noise, he walked over to the bag, and opened it up, looting around inside. Thats where he found a pair of red tinted shades, perfect for what he needed. Didnt expect to find a pair on the first go, even more unexpected to find a desert eagle, with a magazine fitted in .44 rounds. After hearing a flush, Arc quickly did the bag back up, and then slipped the gun and the shades in his hoody, then casually walked away.

Anna had been in awaiting outside the medical tent somewhere in the shadows that casted over her from the bigger tents outside. She could hear talking between a nurse and possibly a doctor before they'd began to talk about rather, intimate, details about spending the night in the doctor's tent. Anna stifled a chuckle, biting her lip and snorted back a laugh at the corny pick up lines that for some reason made the nurse swoon. Caught up in the heat of the moment, the doctor persuaded the nurse to follow him back to his tent to pick up a few things...
Once they'd left, Anna looked about as two military personell passed by, talking amongst themselves. She'd slipped in the tent and took a good look around at their supply. They had alot to work with but what she was interested in were possibly more bandages, antiseptic and a suture kit. Digging through their things, she'd grasped what she needed and packed it in her first aid bag attatched to the back of her belt.
"Easy enough," she said in a low voice before moving toward the entrance once more. She'd stopped when she'd seen a sporty, brown leather jacket. It must have been the nurses. No matter, it was hers now.
Swiping it, she pulled the jacket on and wandered off to find another secluded spot to treat herself. Some of her wounds were in places she'd rather not be dealing with in public. As in her back, her stomach and legs. She'd had enough jerkasses for one night.
Afterwards she'd meet up with her buddy and figure out what to do until then.

Wandering into ally about an hour after the tents had all started to close, Arc paced slowly through the cold night. It had been a very, very cold night, albeit no snow. However, the ally that he had wandered into lead to the same secluded area that Anna had been treating herself. Though he was still in the dark, he just leaned against the wall, and looked away from her. The fence was nearby, it was easy that something bigger could get through, its probably happened more than once. Thats the reason Arc gave himself for sticking around nearby, watching Anna. He wasnt trying to be creepy, just looking out for a friend. As she walked back out of the alleyway, Arc followed her from behind, but still kept to the shadows.
By the time the two had made it back to the tent, it was still open, except only a few people remained at the bar. It was 11:30 now, and as soon as Anna sat down again, Arc showed up with her and sat down, probably giving her a little scare. "We should get going, check the place out." The irishman said to be there for midnight, so they would show up earlier, make sure to get a feel for the place, find out what its all about before just diving in.

Anna had flinched a bit when Arc appeared out of nowhere when she seated herself at the bar. He'd mentioned that they should go check out the rings, see what they were gonna be running around in to get a feel for the place. She agreed and got back up to her feet before following behind Arc. The bandages around her leg and torso had been so tight it was itchy and bothersome under her clothing but to keep them from getting too hurt in any events, she had to make sure things were tightly wound up with enough freedom to move.
"Alright, let's get going then," she said, pulling her arms through the sleeves of her new jacket. She tugged on it in the front and zipped it up half way, giving a thumbs up to Arc.
"Nice shades, by the way. Red tint is hot," she joked, before suddenly realizing something she hadn't thought about before. Were they gonna be fighting with their fists or with firearms? Or maybe melee weapons? Lucky Charms was definitely shady, that's a no brainer but what would the conditions be anyway?
She guessed this was exactly why Arc said they'd scope things out.
"So where were we suppose to be meeting at again?" she asked.

Looks like I wasnt the only one stealing, Arc thought to himself. "The place is in an ally, near the back of this tent, theres a door leading to the basement of an abandoned apartment building." Walking out of the tent, he turned a corner, and than kept walking, making sure to keep everybody in sight that was near him and Anna. The two of them walked down into the ally, and then saw the door, and it was unlocked. This was a good sign, somebody was in there, no doubt. However, before going inside, Arc spoke out in a low tone. "Im gonna expect to have our things stashed away somewhere once were down there. Dont worry about parting with anything, ill get it back if I have to. Just keep a mental inventory, in case something does go missing..."
Once the door was opened, a small beep was heard coming from the stairs leading to the basement. Slowly, the two made their way down the steps, and go to a dark hallway, dimply lit with a few bulbs that were nearly burnt out. But at the end of the hallway was an open door, with light shining in, and the sound of yelling. Couldnt make out what they were saying, but it was yelling. Going in first, Arc saw two men duking it out in what looked to be a drained out pool. Stands lined three sides, and there was fifty people easy altogether. Before getting much of a look, a burly black man approached the both of them, and spoke out in a deep voice. "You can lock your belongings away in the lockers over there in the shower rooms, you got twenty minutes, so get yourselves ready. Ill send Danny in soon to go over a few things with you."
Nodding, and very surprised at the gentleman like nature of the man, Arc and Anna walked into the locker rooms. The yelling and cheering could still be heard from the cement walls, but it was very quiet once the door was shut. He had a very, very strange feeling, and judging by the facial expression, Anna mustve been in the same boat as him. It was almost like they were contestants on a gameshow or something, but this whole fight club was a little more hardcore then just spinning a wheel and answering some questions. As he put his things in one of the lockers, Arc took of his hoody, and sat down on one of the benches. "Anna, change my bandages, cover up as much as you can, and dont worry about the rest."

Anna had a feeling she couldn't shake, her stomach had felt like there was a rock lodged in it, from the suspicions that housed her mind as of now. Arc requested she's change his bandaged. Grasping onto the spare bandageds and some scissors from the suture kit, she'd kit open the bandaging on his shoulder and arms, balling the bloody mess up and tossing it aside in a rubbish bin near by.
She'd began to wrap the clean bandages over his shoulder and chest so they'd stay on before moving toward his arm. No way they needed to see it in it's current state. When she'd finished, she moved to her locker across from his and unzipped her bag. Pulling her jacket off, she stuffed it and her holsters, including her belt and firearms into the large duffel bag.
She'd had gloves on but to help ease the impact on her hands if needed, she wrapped more bandaging around them before taking her black long sleeve off. She'd only need her tank top for this since her wool long sleeve just about had it as it is. Stuffing it into the bag, she'd turned back to Arc and placed her now naked belt around her waist.
"Alright, so we're just fist fighting. That ain't too bad. You should avoid getting hit there either, otherwise you'll rage face and you know..." she trailed off.
