Before Arc even got the chance to respond with a thank you, the door to the locker room burst open, and there was the irishman standing in his same outfit as earlier. "Gentleman, lady, so glad you could join us ere tonight for a little round about shinnanigans! Straight ol fist fightin, good, didnt even have to tell you to keep all your belongins in them lockers. You two ready to start it off? Show begins in five minutes. Oi, pick it up and head on out when yer ready! Oh, wait, can I get yer names?" Arc nodded to the man, Danny, who the bouncer at the door called him. He was a little skeptical about giving out his real name. Before Anna could say anything, Arc spoke out for them both. "Call us whatever you feel like, names are for friends, and your certainly not one of them..."
With a grin, Danny nodded, and then left the two in peace for theyre last five minutes in private. Arc knew that they shouldnt give out there names, not that Anna would have, but he just wanted to be sure. Of course, this would leave the whole title thing up to the irishman, Danny, and who knew what sort of name that he would give them. Whatever came next, both Anna and Arc were ready for it. "Looks like were diving head first into this, but I know your ready. Lets go give em hell, we come out on top, the both of us."

"Awesome cause I wasn't about to be on the bottom," she said with obvious innuendo as she grasped onto her right shoulder and began rolling it around in it's socket to warm up. She'd cracked her fingers and neck slightly before bouncing up and down on her heels. It was always a good warm up before you did anything physical. That was one of the first things she learned before she'd learned back in the Police Academy years ago.
Grinning, she'd walked over to the door and pulled it open, her adrenaline had began to rocket and her confidence was definitely in place. She was ready to go out there and win her some supplies whether it be fair or not. Of course she'd like to hope she can get through it fairly.
"Alright, it's safe to say I'm ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum. And I'm--oh wait," she stopped before patting down her jean pockets to find a piece of bubblicious bubblegum. It had softened and stuck into the wrapper, obviously too gooey to eat now.
"Yep, now I'm all out of bubblegum," she said finally before moving out of the door.

"Ladies and gents! Round one of tonights fight is about to get started. Now, I know everybody here is ready to begin, but id just like to let you all in a little secret. Ive rounded up two newcomers, to make tonights competition extra special. Little is actually known about these two, but I can guarantee they'll put up more then a good fight. So without further adieu, I bring to you, Beauty and the Beast!" Arc could tell that Anna had been pretty ticked off about the name, but it would do everything to fire her up for the fight. The spotlight had shown onto the both of them poolside, but most of the audience had been showing mixed opinions. They weren't ready for newcomers, but half of them seemed to like the idea of it. They would get a show tonight, thats one thing for sure.
"First up, James 'stone' Auldry, going up against The Beauty!" Arc pushed Anna forward a little, letting her know that it would be a good fight, and he would be here watching poolside. As both of the fighters entered the ring, the crowd had been yelling out obscene gestures about how the female should be here for entertainment, not to fight. Arc could tell it was definitely getting on Anna's nerves, but it would make her stronger, proving to the audience that she was a freight train just waiting for somebody to step in front of it.

Stone had a stupid toothy grin with scars riddling his face along with pock marks that etched the sides of his face. His teeth were brown and he was hairy. Needless to say he was one ugly sonuva b*tch. He chuckled and stood tall over Anna in an attempt to intimidate her.
"What's da madda babe? Can't handle all of dis?" he asked.
Anna sneered. "I wouldn't wanna," she retorted, parting her feet firmly on the ground as so. He howled in laughter as did the crowd when he'd reached a hand over to ruffle the woman's hair. As quick as a whip, Anna had smacked away his meaty hand and round house kicked the punk, sending him stumbling back, unprepared.
The crowd cheered and other booed as Stone attempted to grasp onto his ground when Anna charged at him and threw a right hook at him. He took no effort in swaying away from the attack and grasping onto her arm, pulling her toward him and launching her a few feet away.
Anna landed on the dirt with a thud before wincing and looking up to see he was over her, pulling his massive foot up to stomp on her. She managed to roll out of the way onto her feet. As she did she quickly dodged an incoming punch and countered with an elbow strike into his throat.
He gagged and grasped at his neck and as he did, Anna wasted no time and uppercutted the bastard in his chin. When he'd stumbled again she'd dropped low in a crouch and swung her leg into his, literally sweeping him off his feet and sending him crashing into the cold cement.
Arching his back from the impact, Anna had appeared before him with a smirk. "Ain't this ironic?" she asked before curb stomping the jerk in the face hard enough to break his nose.
Blood squirted from said broken nose and he found himself rolling back and fourth in pain. Angered, he tried to get up but Anna prevented him from doing such by grabbing his nose with her fingers and tightly twisting.
Screaming in agony, it'd left her to humiliate him with a firm, hard, b*tch slap across the face. He was down, he couldn't breathe through his nose and he was gagging on mucus and blood. The crowd roared with cheers while Anna walked off back to the side lines.
Dusting herself off, she shrugged at Arc. "He was all bark and no bite. This doesn't seem hard at all."

"Good fight, just dont get too cocky..." That was all Arc spoke before he was called up next. "Wow, looks like a matter of underestimating your enemy with that last one, The Beauty comes out victorious! Next up, newcomer 'The Beast', and one of our old favorites, Ryuuk 'Rush Hour' Awaizaki!" Arc dropped down into the pool, and watched as the next fighter back flipped down into the pool, landing just across from him with his arms up in a martial arts stance he was unfamilliar with. None the less, it would be a quick fight. Or maybe he should make it last, not give himself away too much, draw it out. Without making up his mind, Arc seen the man rush toward him.
Jumping into the air, Rush Hour spun around, putting a heel toward Arc. But Arc took the kick in the side of the head, watching as the Japanese fighter came back with another kick. This time, he caught it with his hand, and shook the man to the ground, hard. In the same instant, he came back with a palm strike, but Arc knocked it to the side, and thrust his own attack towards Rush Hours chest, knocking him to the ground. Arc could feel himself starting to get a little heavy, but he was handling himself. The man was persistant in fighting, and given not a single chance to cool down, just kept coming back harder and harder.
This last time, however, Arc caught the mans arm, and twisted it, readying for an over the shoulder throw. But with the force applied, the Japanese mans arm snapped, bone now sticking out of his elbow. Arc went with the moment, and spun himself around, finishing off with a blow to the face, knocking the man unconsious before he could feel the pain. As the Victory, the crowd on both sides had went crazy now, and began to shout for the newcomers triumpth in round one. Arc lift up the easy twenty five year old kid with one arm over his shoulder, and lay him up on poolside before he left the scene back to Anna. "So far so good, think theyre going to keep use out, pin us up against the remaining fighters. The crowd seems to want more."
"Round two, ending in a victory for The Beast! The new comers are coming out on top with this one, and the crowd is loving every minute of it! As of next request, we have The Beauty, up against Tasha 'Princess' Livingston. Female on female lines, should even the playing field for round three." Arc sat down, and nodded to Anna. He wasnt exactly enjoying this, but maybe now that Danny had scene his real potential, he would line up a more fair fight in round four. Although, nothing could prepare any fighter here for a bout against somebody who wasnt even human.

"Beauty huh? Your f**ked up face says otherwise. Your buddy should been The Beauty," Princess said with a taunting gesture.
Anna flicked her thumb against her nose and grinned. "Whatever ya say, Princess," she responded, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"You ain't gonna be so lucky this time, little girl'." with that, she'd taken a swing at Anna. Anna slammed her forearm into her own, knocking her fist away and when she tried to throw a punch with the other fist, Anna had swooped benath the attack and left hooked her square in the face.
Princess absorbed the attack pretty well, much to Anna's suprise. Both women had taken some space and encircled one another with their fists up and their eyes darting into the other's. Anna was buying time to get a breather when the woman darted at her sending three multiple kicks at the former officer. Anna swiftly swayed her body side to side, Princess' kicks missing her torso each time before she'd suprised the redhead with a left kick across the face apart from the right kicks she'd performed and failed with.
Anna tumbled backward, her lip busted again in the same place. Slightly dazed, she'd spit out some blood stood her ground when she'd seen Princess diving at her again. Anna caught her fist with her left hand and jabbed her in her gut with her right, then took advantage of her lack of air by sending in a chain of punches starting from her abdomen to her chest to her face. Princess hacked up a little blood but right afterwards she'd sent a palm strike into Anna's face and then spun around and elbowed her in the gut. When Anna lurched over, Princess grasped onto the other woman's arm and threw her over her shoulder.
Anna slammed into the ground, hurt. From there she'd pulled the officer up and gotten her into a choke hold. Face reddening, she'd coughed and wriggled in her grip.
"Not such a tough b*tch now are ya?" she asked through clenched teeth.
Anna slammed her foot into Princess' and when her grip loosened, Anna pulled away, grasped onto her arm and pulled it back, sending the palm of her other hand into the opponent's shoulder blade.
"NO NO NO!" Princess screamed. Anna showed no mercy when she'd pushed and completely dislocated her shoulder with a violent snap. Screaming out in agonizing pain, Anna curled up her fist and sent it flying into the small of her back. Princess fell down into a heap, arching her back and holding onto her arm in tears.
The crowd had cheered louder than before as Anna rubbed at her sore jaw and walked back to the sidelines where Arc stood. "b*tch..." she commented.
"Well now! It seems like our very own, Beauty has KOd our lovely Princess! Lets have another round of applause for our tough little piece of arse!!" Danny narrated, patting Anna on the back. She's jerked away from the man.
"Don't f**kin touch me or you'll lose that f**king hand, jerkass," she warned him.
He only chuckled. "What a little firecracker. Ah hah, well folks we've got a special friend here for good ol Round 4! All the way from the old country, let's hear it for Kobach "Hammer" Rzhova!"
Anna and Arc both onlooked a giant wall of a man. He was enormous, muscle bound and ****ed off. As soon as he'd entered the lights it was obvious he was staring them down. Anna was pretty sure though that it was Arc he wanted.
"I want itty bitty boy thar!" he told Danny, pointing a massive, meaty, finger at Arc. The crowd had gone completely mad with excitement as they all pumped their fists and screamed out so loudly, Anna had to cover her own ears.
"Well alright, Hammer, you want The Beast, you've got The Beast!" Danny said, gesturing for Arc to enter the ring.
Onlooking the two, Anna winced, noticing that the man had completely towered over Arc. He had to be astleast 7 feet tall and probably 300 pounds maybe more. All pure muscle.
"Err...goodluck, uh, Beast!" she called.

"This isnt gonna end well..." Arc spoke to himself and Anna. After jumping down into the pool, the largely built man stood towering over Arc. It was the first time he had seen anybody bigger than himself that wasnt in combat fatigues. This guy was a pure brawler, working out was more than just a hobby, it was his life, when he wasnt fighting that is. Before the bell even went off, the Russian sent a fist into Arc chest, knocking him to the ground, unexpectidly. Did he knew the man was going to give him a cheap shot, he mightve been more prepared for it, but it was all brutal force here in the pool ring.
As the man came forward, about to send a downed kick, Arc rolled to the side and spring to his feet, bringing his elbow down into the mans back, and then boot him to the floor in the side. Backing away now, his eyes glowed red, but thankfully his sunglasses managed to stay on. As the burly mane rushed forward again, Arc dodged the attack, and sent in a quick three hit combo, the third being uppercut to the chin. But the man still stood tall, almost uneffected. Arc went forward again, pummeling him in the stomach with six more fists, finally bringing the Russian to the ground to catch his breath. The last strike being one to the face, decking him flat out onto the floor of the pool.
The crowd went wild, and Arc walked away, without even smiling at the victory. But just then, he heard a clank. When he got turned around, he crowd had thrown in a steel bat to the big man. A swing came at him, and Arc ducked out of the way, ramming the man in the chest, but was hit in the back with a fairly large rock that the crowd through. Rolling backwards onto his feet, the tall man flipped the bat around in his hand, grinning as the crowd was now on his side. Still waiting for the man to come at him, Arc waited and waited, until he got what he wanted.
As the Russian came toward him swinging the bat, Arc jumped into the air over the attack, and planted his foot onto the mans chest. With a second kick, he sent it into his arm, and grabbed the bat in the next quick movement. Jumping behind the man, Arc used the bat to choke him out, hanging onto his back just by the steel. After he heard the neck begin to crack, Arc jumped off with the bat in hand, and backed away. With a hand hit, he bent the steel bat with his knee, and through it back in to the crowd. As he did this, Arc ran forward, and drove his shoulder into the mans spine, knocking him face first to the ground. Rolling the man over, Arc jumped on top of him, and began to violent beat the man over and over his right hook, until all of his teeth had been strewn onto the ground.
Before the rest could follow, five other men from the crowd, larger men, rushed into the ring with tasers, and what when he finally stopped and realized what was happening. Arc could hear Annas voice over everything, telling him to stop, and he listened to her. After the beating rested, Arc stood up, and walked away from the bloody mess, crowd with mixed opinions about the scene. "It looks like The Beast comes out on top, yet again! Surely he isnt somebody youd want to mess with, I know im keeping my distance from him." Arc climbed back up onto the poolside, and just sat down against the wall in the hallway, keeping his eyes closed to make sure nobody saw.

Watching the chaos, Anna had watched as Arc had began to slip out of control. When bigger men came out, the bouncers, with tasers, she'd ran closer to the edge of the poolside and crouched down, grasping Arc's attention.
"ARC!" she cried out. After a minutes delay, he'd turned to see her.
"Arc, calm down! I-It's just a fight! This is just a game! Calm down!" she yelled, trying to blend in as much as possible. When the fight ended and Arc shuffled passed her, she'd looked over at Danny, shrugging.
"He's a sore loser. Guess it helped bring his fightin' spirit back up though, heh," she said before wandering after Arc in the hallway.
"Aye! Where do ya think yer goin' lass?! Yer up next!" Danny called. Anna had waved a hand at the man.
"I gotta make sure my bud's alright!" With that, she'd followed him into the hallway and as such, Danny matched up another pair to fight in the ring. Moving toward Arc, Anna stopped half way and placed her hands on her hips.
"You alright?"

Moving into the locker room, Arc knew he had to get those painkillers into him. Reaching the place where he stored all of his stuff, he opened it up, and grabbed the half bottle of pills from his pocket. Popping the lid open, he drove them into his mouth, and then swallowed them one by one. By this time, Anna had came into the locker room, and asked if he was alright. "This is starting to get a little harder, keeping this up, I mean... Im fine, you go out, your up." Anna assured that he would be fine, and it worked, he was calmed down within the next few minutes. While he was in there, however, Arc came across the first fighter he faced, the Korean kid. He was laying on a matress, facing the wall, not even sure if he was awake or still unconsious. Arc had walked over to the younger man, and lay the bottle of painkillers by his side, for when he was ready to move again. As the crowd lifted off once again, Arc walked back out into the poolside just in time to hear Danny speaking on the megaphone again. "Allllroit, ladies and gents, ive a confession ta make. I know ive been out of the gayme for awhile lately, and said id make my comeback once the season was finished. But whom I kiddin? Beauty, you and me are up next...!"Danny lay the megaphone down on the table, and took off all of his things. Jumping down into the pool with nothing but his jeans and his derby cap, the Irishman peered out poolside to The Beauty, blowing her a little kiss. "Come on, babe, I seen the look in yer eyes back at the bar. Time ta see if yer all just talk, or can actually take a few hits before I come down on ya!" Laughing and grinning, Danny bobbed up and down, hopping to the beat of the music that play on the large stereo system. The crowd was ready for the four leaf clover, the 'lucky charms'. And from the looks of it, so was girlie. [ ]> Play Track ]

Anna smirked and leapt down into the pool, bouncing on her heels, putting her dukes up as she gestured at the Irishman. "Come on then, Lucky Charms. Let's see if you really are magically delicious," she told him with a chuckle.
The crowd had roared with delight half cheering for Danny and the other half cheering on Anna. As the two approached the other, Anna grunted and threw a right hook at the man, but Danny had weaved passed it, spinning around in a jaunting bounce and Anna glanced at him from the corner of her eye before attempting a back kick but Danny had ducked under that one and smirked, winking at her before jabbing at her.
Anna swirved her arm in a circle, knocking the attack away and ducked under another punch as he had done to her previously. Danny had suprised her with a quick shuffle of his feet, grasping ahold of her and spinning her around to him, pushing her back up against him and keeping her in a lock.
"Ay, Beauty, ya hair smells good!" he told her.
Anna moved her head forward and brought it back, headbutting him in the face. His lip busted and swole, forcing him to stumble back.
"You're an annoying little leprichaun ain't ya, Danny boy?" she asked as she sent a curb stomp-like kick for his groin. Danny easily evaded that attack and grasped at his jaw, a playful grin on his face.
Just then, the doors leading out of the arena had burst open with four to five heavily armed men had came running in, aiming their guns at Arc. A couple more jumped into the pool arena and aimed their guns at Anna. Danny merely shuffled aside.
"Put your hands behind your heads and drop to your bellies, you sonuva b*tches!" one of the men cried.
Anna groaned and put her hands behind her head and looked at Arc with a look that let him know she thought it wise for him to do the same so they wouldn't have to hurt anyone doing their jobs.
"So what'd we---" before she could finish, another man had butted her in the face with his firearm, her nose was bleeding and she was out cold. Arc flinched and the darkened look in his face had screamed that he wanted to rip into the bastards, but he tried to supress his anger.
Another man had came up from among the men with a portable device in his grasp. He'd flipped a switch and hovered it around Anna's body. Turning a dial, the man read the screen and gave a thumbs up.
"She's clear."
"Alright, grab her and send her to the infirmary."
One man grasped Anna and pulled her into his arms before moving for the door to take her to seek medical attention. Another man with a semi-automatic rifle had tailed him.
The man with the screening device had climbed back up to Arc.
"She'll be examined for head trauma I--" before the man with device could finish, the device had blared an alarm as it was pulled around Arc. The man and the others stared at him, if it weren't for their masks you'd see they were pretty suprised.
"He's infected! Commence fire!" he ordered, pulling away as crowds of people had began to flee in terror.

The fight had raged on, and Anna seemed to be winning. But it was a close call. Without over thinking it too much, Arc wanted to be all for Anna, but with the way Danny had been fighting, it looked like he would be the winner if things didnt switch up. However, before the fight could sway to either side, the armed men had entered the area. Danny had gotten out of the pool quicker then the other, almost like he planned this, but when he started to gather the crowd and his boys with him, things werent looking good for them. Anna had been knocked out cold, and was already being taken off out of he building to the infirmary tent. Arc lit up with rage, but couldnt do anything with the guns trained on him alone. As the detector went off, thats when he knew things were going to end well at all.
~~
Danny slipped out into the hallway, watching the scene unfold inside his stadium. This was the second time this month the soldiers had shaken down his ring, and it was going to be their last. Tracing his lands down the wall, Danny felt for the breaker switches, and flicked them all off. "...I bid you all... Goodnight!" Danny ran out of the building, never to be seen again.
~~
After the lights went out, Arc rolling along the floor, hearing the bullets spray over him. He could both see and hear nearly perfectly in the dark, and quickly left the pool for the locker room. Silently, he entered, and opened up his own locker, along with Annas. Slipping on his sweater, and grabbing what little stuff he had, he then grabbed Anna bag and shotgun, slinging them over his shoulder. Arc ran for the stairwell, but seen two more soldiers come down with flashlights. Pulling out his knife, he bolted for the locker room once again, and saw one of the two men enter just past him. Grabbing him by the mouth, Arc drove the blade into his neck, twisting it, and quickly sliding it back into his sheath. Gabbing the assault rifle before it hit the ground, he let the body fall silently, and then ran for the entrance.
Up the stairs, to the right, down the hallway, and out the door, he was finally on the streets. But before leaving, Arc pushed a dumpster in front of the door, making it impossibe for the team of security to get out without other means of exit. Now holding the assault rifle up in a very proper stance, he moved through the alley, making sure that if he ran into anymore soldier he would gun them down instantly. Arc was sure he passed the infirmary tent when he was exploring the night. It was easily three in the morning now, and nobody was on the streets. The lights had been off for the most part, and it was easy to stick to the shadows whenever he saw movement.
Finally reaching the tent, there had been two armed men blocking the entrance, one of them talking on a radio about what was going on inside. It was definitly Anna in there, he was sure of it. Shuffling into an alley, near a side barricade and fence, he dropped Annas stuff, they could come back for it later. Now being lightweight, he was ready to get Anna out of there, as quickly and quietly as possible. Dropping the assault rifle with the bag as well, Arc pulled out his knife, and then approached the tent from the back. Making a cut in the thick material, he peered through, seeing the place occupied by only two people, and one of the armed men from the tent entrance.
Quickly moving around the tent to the front now, Arc listened in, and the moment the soldier had sent an over and out signal on the radio, he came at him from the side. Holding the knife to his neck, he moved inside the tent, using the man as a hostage to get the other soldier to lower his weapon when the entrance sound went off. Arc walked closer and closer to the other man, waiting for him to drop his gun. When he finally did get down on his knee and bend his head forward, he slit the guards throat, and than drove the knife into the back of the soldiers head.
Further in the tend, the Doctor peered around the booth to see that nobody there, thought he was imagining things. As the man in the white fatigues turned around, Arc had been standing there, and grabbed the man by the neck. It took a matter of twenty seconds before he was out cold, and once he was, Arc dropped him onto the ground, and put his knife away. Anna seemed to be in pretty rough shape, but aside from the broken nose, everything else would be painless by the time she woke up. There was fresh banadges on her cuts at least, and a little brace on the bridge of her nose. Lifting her up over his shoulder, Arc walked out of the tent, and into the back alley out of sight from the town. Laying Anna down on the ground, he would wait out the rest of the night, into morning, until she awoke.

The air had smelled different, it was clean and the fresh cut grass was a refreshing scent. Anna had been walking along the dirt roads with a child hand enlaced in her own. Smiling, she looked down at the child.
"We're almost home and then you can open your eyes and see your suprise," she told the girl.
She'd smiled with glee, eyes shut tightly. She was so small and fragile, she'd worn a brand new sun dress her mommy had bought her and a medical bracelet around her wrist. Anna had been walking beside her, carrying her bag from the hospital.
"Are we almost there yet, mommy?" she asked.
"Yep, open your eyes."
Opening her big blue eyes, the child gasped when she'd been greeted with their front lawn decorated with balloons, tables, food, friends and family. There was a brand new jungle gym there too with a big, shiny, pink ribbon. Their large farm house porch had been decorated with sashes and a banner that read, "Welcome Home, Lucy!".
Her grandfather stood there along with her big brother, waving and smiling. Running to them, Anna watched her go, her eyes tearing up as she wiped them away with the back of her hand. She'd followed after her, enjoying the site. Her daughter had been in the hospital for almost three months because she's fallen so ill. She was diagnosed with Lukemia earlier that year and things had been hard.
She was just thankful to have her baby home and feeling a little better. As she walked faster to catch up, there'd been a familiar voice that greeted her from behind.
"It's good to see she's alright."
Looking over, Anna had seen a tall man with his own little girl, holding onto his hand and looking at Anna with a confused face. The man, messy dark brown, almost black hair, brown eyes and an athletic build...his face wasn't very clean shaven. This was Richard Holden.
"Richard...how'd you..?" she trailed off. This wasn't part of her memory and somewhere inside, she knew it, but it felt so nice to see him and Aryn again.
"Long story short, I found you and that's all that matters. You been doing good, I see. Not too bad. Your dad told me about Lucy...I'm really sorry, but she looks happy," he said with a tired smile.
Anna shook her head slowly before moving toward him and throwing her arms around him in a tight embrace. She could no longer supress any tears as she held onto him tightly and cried. Aryn frowned.
"Anna, what's wrong?"
"Mommy...?"
Anna grasped onto both children as well, hugging tightly as did they and Richard.
"This isn't real...I know it isn't...but I'd rather not wake up...please don't make me wake up..." she sobbed.
"You have to, Anna. Wake up...Wake up Anna.." Richard said.
Wake up....
Wake up......... Wake up....
Anna's eyes had snapped open and she'd been gasping for air before coughing it all up. She's sat up from where she'd laid and looked around at the bright city scape. It was morning...or maybe afternoon, she couldn't tell.
Looking over, she'd seen Arc nearby, getting up from where he was seated to see if she was alright. before he could even ask, she looked down at her lap.
"Damn..." she muttered.

"Dont sit up yet, take these." Grabbing her hand, Arc opened it up, and placed two extra strength painkillers. Along with that, a bottle of water was placed at her side before he moved his hand inside his pocket to bring out something else. "You were out a good four hours, the suns just coming up. Grabbed this for you, too..." Pulling a green box from his pocket, Arc laid down the large sized MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) on Annas lap, one end cut open already. "Its not much, but its better then nothing. I got your stuff, its just over there against the wall, and your laying on your jacket." With all the fighting they had did, both of the survivors had been glad to just take a break, even if Anna had been knocked out. A rest was a rest, and headache aside, it was something she had needed.
Arc fiddled with the new assault rifle, an Steyr AUG, cartridge in 9mm. He was able to snag two more magazines from one of the soldiers, taped together for a faster reload. One was filled with hollowpoints, the other filled with +P ammunition. It wasnt much to work with, but it was enough to get them a head start. It would be given to Anna if they ever got into a bind, Arc was better with his knife, anyways. "So just take it easy, least until the painkiller start to take effect. I got us a chopper to Arklay, the civilians use it for evacuation purposes. Done a little trading around, and they said they would be ready by noon whenever we were... Unless you had something else in mind..."

Anna had gratefully taken the painkillers and popped them in her mouth and drank them down with water. She'd reached over to her bag, sore as all hell before digging through it to find her pouches. She'd searched one specific pouch, pulling out a prescription bottle and unscrewing the cap. She'd popped yet another pill and washed it down before capping it again and putting it back where it belonged.
Her ribs, her legs and arms were sore. Her nose wasn't so bad. She'd felt at it, wincing a bit, and it seemed to be in place and alright, someone prolly fixed it for her. Either way, she'd gotten to her feet quietly and grasped ahold of her long sleeved shirt. She pulled it over her head and grabbed her shoulder holsters, buckling them on and then pulling her belt and pouches around her waist.
She'd grabbed her shotgun, slung it over her shoulder and then tied the jacket around her waist. It wasn't as cold this morning as it normally was, so she'd just keep it until it was freezing cold again. Sitting down on her bag, she'd sighed, running a hand through her hair.
Arc had questioned if she was alright and why she was so quiet. Not really wanting to talk about it, she'd cleared her throat, taking a bite out of the MRE.
"We can take the chopper there...why do we need to go back there anyway?" she asked.

"We really dont 'need' to go anywhere. But ive a chopper out of the city, and were going to be taking it, whether or not we have a solid plan." Arc didnt mean to be bossy or anything, or come off like he was in charge. Things had just been getting to him, and after trading away his last few bottles of medication to procure a safe route out of the city, he wanted to make use of it. There was nothing for either of them here in Raccoon City, least not until things calm down. The soldiers were still looking for them, luckily enough they hadnt came across the duo through the night. It saves a few more lives from the hands of Arc, less blood to shed was always a good goal.
However, he got a little tip about a location out in the Arklay Forest that was suppose to be a facility previous run by Umbrella. Something was shady about it, the chopper pilot had seen some activity there recently as of the outbreak, and Arc wanted to check it out. Anything connected to Umbrella, thats what he was drawn toward, this being no exception. He knew they werent around anymore, but followers in their footsteps was another story. Arc was possitive that something was up, he had a gut feeling about it, and he always went with it. "Theres a mansion in Arklay, seen to be active. Most of the time its not just a feeling I have, but a memory from my past, trying to come to surface. Something is leading me towards it."
Anna would probably think he was crazy, but crazy wouldnt even begin to scratch the surface of it. If there was something at that mansion waiting for him, Arc wanted to do everything in his power to get there. The UBCS were a previous affiliate of his, and he watched his own team get slaughtered. If there had been anything left in this world for him related to Umbrella, it was as that mansion, he was certain. "...And now ill ask if you could come along with me, being as weve been through so much already. But again, if you have anything else on your mind, im not forcing you to do anything you dont want to do."
