[Izzie & Jesse are now at the Maple Street Mall]
Izzie and Jesse enter the mall and shut the doors behind them. They quickly find something to barricade the glass doors off. Surprisingly, none of the front windows are broken. Jesse noticed shutters above the doors and pointed them out to Izzie. "Give me a boost!", Izzie called out. Jesse helped Izzie reach the steel shutters and she grabbed them firmly and used her weight to pull them down. The shutters locked into place against the floor. They were safe for now.
Jesse and Izzie took a look around. A few hundred feet into the mall, the roof was caved in above a fountain and helicopter ruins were scattered across the floor. There wasn't a single body in sight. That could either be very good... or very bad. The mall was immense. Izzie had no clue where to go first. "Well... what do we d--" Izzie was cut off before she could finish her sentence. Zombies slammed up against the front doors and the shutters rattled. Izzie shook it off and took a few steps away from the door. "Where to, Jesse?".

As the nearly broken shutters slammed down, Jesse could hear the banging from the infected on the outside. They should focus on getting somewhere inside the mall to hide, give them lots of space. "Itll be a matter of time before they get in here, those shutter look pretty old... We should get moving, somewhere." Jesse picked a direction, and moved, with Izzie following him. The first store was the grocery store on the first floor, every single bit of it was gone, which was pretty obvious considering food was the thing needed most to survive.
"Hardware & Home Appliance, who knows what well find in there. Whatever is left, we can use to block the place up beforehand." Jesse knew this mall pretty well, though it had been awhile since he was in it. The Chopper n Decker Dales was near the back on the first floor, he always shopped there for the tools he needed. Its how he built the country home near the lake, to get away from the city. All of that was in the past now, though, all they could do was move on. "CNDD's at the other side, it would get us far enough away from the entrance plaza, and enough time to get inside without any hassle..."

"Maybe we can barricade ourselves somewhere without actually trapping ourselves", Izzie suggested. "If we can make it to a hardware store and get tools, we can find things and build to protect ourselves. Maybe we should go somewhere that we have access to the roof or a back door... or something. We could easily shelter up here for awhile, provided that there is a source of water and enough food", Izzie continued. "This mall doesn't happen to have a sporting goods store, does it? Somewhere where we could resupply on ammo? I've only got half a magazine in my gun and one spare magazine in my pouch", Izzie asked. "A pharmacy where I could get some asprin for this damn headache would be nice as well."

While they were walking, Izzie spat off some good ideas for where they should hit up. All of the above sounded pretty good, and they were all on the bottom floor except the sporting goods store. Jesse would like to grab some ammunition as well, the only problem was that it would most likely be completely looted. If it wasnt food, it was ammunition. Nothing came cheap, he knew finding more bullets would be nearly impossible, at least not until they got around more survivors. Even then, trading would render them with less something, and either of them didnt seem to have much to barter with.
But the drug store, they had a large one nearby, and it couldnt possibly be entirely looted. There would be something remaining, even if Izzie had to experiment a little to make some useful meds. As they approached the outside of the Drug-XL, Jesse noticed that the inside of the store didnt have any lighting, as appose to the backup lights in the mall area. Reaching inside his pocket, Jesse pulled out four more bullets, and put them inside his revolver, making sure it was loaded with eight rounds. Holding it over to Izzie, he nodded, and spoke out in a grateful tone. "You can shoot better then me, you take it."

Izzie declined Jesse's offer of his revolver with the response "Nah, with my head throbbing the way it is, I don't think I'll be able to hold a gun steady for a bit. I need meds, food, rest, and I'm probably a bit dehydrated - so, water. That goes for you, too. Plus, I'd rather you also have a gun in case I get overwhelmed. And I only need one handgun".
Izzie reached into her medical pouch and started searching through it. "I've got various narcotics - morphine, codeine, oxycodone, hydrocodone - as well as sleeping pills. However, I am lacking f*cking asprin. I'd rather not take morphine for a simple headache, given it's addictive properties", she laughed. "So other than milld pain relievers, we're good for medicine. So we're about to risk our lives for a couple of asprin. You ready?"
Izzie didn't wait for a response. She started walking slowly into the drug store. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a matchbook. She ripped off one match, lit it, and quickly got a look around before it burnt out. She didn't see anything dangerous. She began walking over towards the shelves and lit another match. Other than a woman's body - the first body they've seen in the mall so far - the room looked clear. Izzie searched through the shelves and had to keep lighting matches to check labels. "This is taking too long. Being in here makes me nervous. F*ck it. Take as much as you can and put it in that bag of yours".

While Izzie was looking around the store for whatever she was looking for, Jesse opened up the bag, but still slung it over his shoulder. There wasnt much more room for anything else, but if it was just a few simple meds, he could spare the extra pouch. While digging through to clear up some room, Jesse found his flashlight, pulling it out and flicking it on. It instantly covered the match fire that Izzie held, why didnt he think of this from the moment they entered the mall. Using a flashlight wasnt really something he was used to, his eyes were sensitive, adjusted to reading under a clear open lamp light.
The torch shined through the whole pharmacy, covering the shelves in a bright white glow that made moving around that much easier. The beam was set to wide, which allowed it to illuminate a bigger area. So long as he kept close to Izzie, she would be able to benifiet from the light greatly. Noticing a box tucked under a bare shelf, Jesse crouch down to see what it was. Inside was bottle of 350mg Acedamidiphyn tablets. "Hey Izzie, is this what your looking for?" He was no doctor, but this was a drug he was famillier with.

Though Izzie was half-listening to Jesse, her main focus was on the woman's body on the floor a few yards away from her. Jesse had asked her if he found the right medicine. "Yeah, perfect" she responded. Jesse seemed to notice her mind was on something else. Just as Jesse began to open his mouth and ask, Izzie shot her arm out and covered his mouth, pulling him backwards further down the isle with her. Just before Jesse opened his mouth again, Izzie pointed to the woman who they had previously thought to be dead, now walking towards the front of the store.

As Jesse spoke, he couldnt help but get the feeling Izzie was interested in something else. Before he could turn to ask what she had seen, the woman covered his mouth and moved him further back into the store out of sight. Seeing a glimpse of the girl as Izzie pointed to her, Jesse knew they had to get out of the store another was if they were going to move around without getting the attention of more infected. Looking over at the cashiers desk, he noticed a door. This would had to have lead next door, it was a mall staff entrance between places so they wouldnt have to leave the desk and walk around. He pointed at the door with his flashlight, almost for Izzie to comprehend "Over there, we can go through that door and get out."
Vaulting himself up and over the desk, Jesse turned the knob, but it was locked using a key. What they needed was to find the janitorial keyring, that way none of these doors would be locked, and they could travel about freely as they wanted. Shining the flashlight around the floor around the desk, a few meters away there was the body of a man in a white doctors robe, and a metallic flash coming from something in his hand. Jesse made sure Izzie was away from this before turning his light to the front of the store to see where the girl was now. But, he could see anything as this distance, or maybe nothing was there anymore...

Izzie noticed the shining object in the man's hand as well. As Jesse moved his flashlight to the front of the store, the walking woman was gone. Izzie, knowing it was a bad sign, quickly started crouch-walking over towards the dead man. Right as she rounded the corner, the female zombie charged from down the isle and tackled Izzie onto the floor. The zombie must've moved around the shelf behind Izzie while she was paying attention to Jesse. The woman was trying to sink her teeth into Izzie's neck. Izzie held her at bay with her hands around her neck. "Jesse, get this c*nt off me!", Izzie yelled in his direction.

Trenton heard shuffling behind the door. He had assumed the people on the other side were alive as one of the had tested the door knob just seconds ago. Trenton was about to open the door when he heard someone screaming. "Infected." Trenton clicked the door unlocked and backed up raising his weapon. "Kilo North Private Security! Get down!" He shouted as he charged forward and kicked the door open. It only took him a fraction of a second to mark the female infected and male infected. Trenton charged forward and wrapped his arm around the infected females neck, using his momentum to knock the zombie off of the girl and onto himself. "Get my knife and stab this b*tch." He barked to the girl he had saved, kicking his Ka-Bar out of his belt.

The security guard from the next room over had charged in and tackled the zombie off of her. He seems to have mistaken her for a civilian. He slid his knife her way and told her to stab the zombie. Instead, she got to her feet, kicked the knife out of her way, walked up to the guard and pulled the woman off of him with her left hand by the back of the woman's neck. She lifted the zombie to her feet and let go of her. Immediately, she retracted her hand and formed a fist. She then slammed her fist into the zombie's face and it flew to the floor. Without looking, she pulled out her Beretta Px4 and put a bullet straight into the fallen zombie's head. "B*tch!" she spat at the zombie.
She then pointed her pistol at the man who had saved her and demanded that he identify himself immediately.

Trenton raised both of his hands slowly palms out. "Kilo North, we're one of the contracted branches working under the BSAA. I have my bonded security card in my wallet." Trenton hept his hands raised and rolled onto his stomach palms flat against the back of his head. "It's in the left pocket." Trenton added shifting his bag off to the side.

Izzie checked the man's pocket and found the identification. Everything checked out. "Alright, sorry about that", Izzie extended her hand to help the man up. Once he was on his feet, she continued "I'm grateful for your rescue, but you can never be too careful with civilians and their weapons. I assumed you were a civilian. I'm Dr. Isobel Evelynn Wolf. I'm the captain of a Medical Support and Assault squad. You can call me Doctor Wolf. My squad is not directly related with the BSAA. We have not been operating for long. We're sort of a freelance group. Our headquarters is on a military base back in Seattle, Washington. There are a few BSAA members up there but it's not entirely run by them. Anyway, I ended up stranded out here with Jesse and the only place we could take shelter was here - in the mall."

[Posting order. Joey, DE, and then Izzie. Then repeat it.]
Listening to the scene unfold, Jesse grabbed the keys from the ground, and then unlocked the door quietly, still paying attention to the man and Izzie talk to eachother. Seemingly, he was from BSAA, which was quite the relife to here theyre in action around Raccoon City. Opening up the staff doors, he peered through with his flashlight, seeing that it lead into a storage room for other medical supplise. Stepping side, while the other two continued to talk, Jesse went in on his own. Scanning around the shelves with the light, he wasnt really sure what he was looking for, but knew that once Izzie seen all of this she would know exactly what they needed.
This room was pretty small, compared to the Pharmacy. But, it did have a door leading resumably back into the main mall area. Jesse didnt want to venture too far away, it wasnt safe to be moving around on his own, just incase something got out of hand again and nobody would be around to save him. After seeing the door with a simple slide lock, they could easily use it to get back into the mall without going through the pharmacy again. Walking back to the other room, Jesse peeked back in the doorway, and spoke out to Izzie, nodding at the other man in a friendly gesture. "Hey, Izzie, theres a storage room back here that still has quite a bit of stuff left over... Come check it out."
