Eli took the passenger seat as Kristine took over. She drove like a pro as she took the turns that came up. It put space between them and the cars following them. The helicopters continued to catch up as they drove. Kristine said something about his back up.
He triggered his radio and called back to his people. "Hey Jimmy, I need you to get your ass here. I have two helicopters coming and I won't get to the highway for another 20." A simple copy was that was heard in response. Eli watched as the helicopters got closer before he leaned out of the window. Even if he didn't hit, the shots would make the helicopters keep their distance.
He started to shoot and the police helicopter slowed down to keep it's distance but the Tricell attack chopper came in with a vengeance. Eli continued shooting at the chopper since it now meant that it was going to shoot back at them. "Evasive driving, the chopper will be shooting soon!" He shouted in just as the chopper opened fire.

"Evasive driving, the chopper will be shooting soon!"
Kristine didn't have time to react the way she wanted which probably would have involved her shouting back in disbelief and denial. Instead she only reacted letting her instincts guide her. She crammed the brakes, Hard. The SUV came to a screaming halt as brakes grabbed metal and friction did its job. The helicopters soared over head continuing their inertia, before cutting hard outward to loop back around.
She used this opportunity to floor it. 350 horses roared out of the tailpipe as the V8 brutally shoved the heft of the vehicle into motion. She sped down hill heading toward a bridge over a small creek, there began a wooded area for the next few miles it would at least provide them a bit of shelter from the predators in the air for a few moments.
"Your friends nearby yet?" A tinge of impatience was in her voice but it was only because of the stress of the chase. She had never done anything like this before and could feel her adrenaline on the down slide.

Before he could answer the roar of a missile flew overhead and hit the attack chopper sending bits of it raining down around them. A second later a jet roared on by turning around to make the pursuers' lives hell. Once he could hear, he heard a voice over his radio, telling him useless info he already knew. Eli knew that a cargo chopper would be on it's way to pick them up if it wasn't already ahead of them. "There is a helicopter waiting for us at the interstate. Just get us there and not only with we see them but they will see us."Eli felt strange seeing the entire highway empty, must be the perks to living in the middle of nowhere that when the world died, you could escape quickly. After a little while of driving normal rather than running for their lives, Eli could see the helicopter, hovering, waiting for them. The helicopter landed on the interstate ahead of them and he looked to Kristine to let her know it was okay. "Just drive this thing on in." He informed her as the loading bay opened up, waiting for them to drive in. ---- Back at the house a group of investigators were doing a once over on the house but didn't get very far. They had stopped at the fridge, scanned the finger print and knew what kind of monster they were now enemies of, who had what they wanted, and who killed their men to keep it from them. His name was not unheard of by Tricell, but they never thought he would come after them. That's what made hurting them so easy. They thought they were above Eli and being hurt by people like him and Ivan Sidorenko.

Kristine did as told, all the while thinking that taking the SUV could be a horrible idea given that Tricell would likely have bugs and gps trackers all over it. Either way she simply did as told she'd never had to fight, or run as hard as she had been for the last 24 hours. She could feel the dark shadow of exhaustion creeping up on her. Her stomach then lurched as the helicopter took to the air. This reminded her that she hadn't eaten in quite a while.
She didn't even bother to get out of the vehicle she simply laid the seat back and tossed a nearly limp arm over her face. A long, deep exhale exited her lungs and after slowly drawing her breath she spoke.
"I have... so many questions. But I cant even begin to make them into words at this point." She figured from their grand escape that Eli wouldn't allow her to fall back into Tricell's hands, and that is all she had to lean on for now.

Eli stepped out of the SUV and grabbed the wands they use to check for tracking or listening devices and started wanding the SUV and took only seconds to find the GPS tracking device. He knew practically where to look for it so he when he found it he wasn't surprised. With a quick step it was crushed under his boot and with the twist of his heel he made sure it was done for good. He relaxed back in the SUV next to Kristine. "You're probably hungry and tired by now. Rest, until we get back to base and we will have a warm meal waiting for you. I will answer any questions you may have whenever you may wish to ask them. I will keep nothing from you." Eli explained to Kristine. He wouldn't lie to her about anything. Even if she asked about his past. If she was unaccepting of his past then he would force her to do the things he wanted, which was locating Ivan Sidorenko, and tearing Tricell and America a new a**hole before the infected got the chance.
Many would try to lie to someone to get them on their side, but Eli knew that telling the truth, and if that failed, gunpoint, would get him what he needed much faster. Lying was always tiresome. Keeping track of what you had said, what you didn't say, and what really happen could all easily get mixed up and ruin your lie. One slip of the tongue could crumble a kingdom of lies.
Eli stepped out of the SUV and took a seat in a different area. This allowed him to be near the pilot if something went wrong and to look out at the surrounding area as they passed overhead. It was peaceful in some parts, while off in the distance some cities could be seen burning from far away. It was odd how the infection hadn't hit everywhere yet so some parts were still living normal lives, waiting for the day to come. While others were hit so quickly that no one was able to react and everyone died. Deep down, Eli wanted people to beat the outbreak only to fall at his feet.

After she was left alone Kristine let go and fell asleep.
=======
A rough patch of air shook the plane just enough to awaken the sleeping beauty. She wasnt sure what time it was when she awoke or how long she had been out, couldv'e been a few hours, could have a been a whole day, she didnt really care. But she did feel a bit better, however her stomach reminded her of her very human need for sustenance. Ignoring her stomach she got out of the SUV and looked around the plane.
A few soldier-esque fellows sat around a few glanced at her, others paid her no mind. She oriented herself quickly before heading toward the cabin. It was time for a Q-n-A with her rescuer and she figured the cockpit would be the place of choice to look for him being as he wasnt in the cargo bay.
When she did find him she gave a slight smile, rubbed her right arm with her left hand then spoke. "So where're we headed?"
