For the most part, Madison just did what her partner did to get the suit on, and it wasnt too challenging. Straight forward as it got. It wasnt like they were going into space, it was just a plastic suit, and the oxygen tank on her back seemed pretty comfortable too, which was most surprising. There was a built in speaker too, so it enhanced the sound, which it was air tight. It was a lot louder then expected though, but her ears would adjust so long as she could hear everything she was told. Holding her gun, however, was a different story. She trained without gloves, and these were a little more bulky then she was used to, but she figured she could at least aim well enough if she needed to. But really, she hoped they wouldnt need to.
"Right." Griffin responded, hearing the line drop. Not even an hour on the ground and things were already starting to get away from from his control. This was suppose to be a simple mission, but instead turned into something unexpected, which wasnt really ideal for BSAA operations when they were backing up TerraSave. Luckily, he knew Sam was already at her prime, but her partner Madison might not be prepared, mentally or physically. "Vega, come on, our expertise are needed. Keep this off the comms, too. Dont make me explain this to you." Interestingly enough, Vega might have had a sense of humor, but when it came down to it, he was serious, and would follow Arc closely. Whatever they were doing, hed make sure it stayed quiet.
A little stop with the CO on point, and for a small resupply, and the pair were ready. Griffin had his MP5 fitted with a suppressor and a flashlight, while Vega grabbed his SCAR. They werent inclined to follow US Military code when it came to weapons and operating tools, so their selection had been personal preference and experience. In his mind, you couldnt go wrong with an MP5, and the SCAR had more than enough firepower to deal with whatever was down there if it came to it. Madison seen the two men enter, already geared up, albeit no suits, which was confusing. For the both of them. "Whats with the suits? Whatevers down there wont be airborne. If it was, the whole building would be been infected by now. For all we know, we already are. Vega and I will take our chances, so ready when you two are."

"Because whatever we are dealing with might be airborne. Not the wort idea to bring some suits, just in case. Can't have anything happening to us, or to you guys. Might want to suit up. We promise we won't look."
Sam gave Griffin a wink and checked to make sure she could reach her weapon with ease. She wished she had more than just her sidearm, but with a few spare magazines, she was more than equipped for their little trip down the shaft to see what was waiting for them. And besides, if they had casualties they needed to move out, she didn't want to be too encumbered.
"Ready to go when you two are."

As just somebody who was seemingly tagging along, Madison was behind her partner and the two BSAA agents. This was definitely big, but she had a very small amount of confidence that they were doing the right thing here, so it was enough to keep her calm and at ease with the situation. Almost as copying what Sam was doing, Madison went for her handgun as well, finding it a bit difficult, but still managed well enough.
Arc didnt worry, and neither did Vega. The pair didnt have linked comms with just eachother, the radios were all connected to the FOBHQ. That meant if they needed to communicate, they would have to do it verbally. "Radio silence, we dont want anybody else hearing anything. Make sure your disconnected now." he have Sam and Madison a chance before pressing the emergency open latch on the elevator. The doors swung open, and the lift presented itself below. They would have to get in through the ceiling. Not a problem for either of them, Vega quickly jumped down and activated the switch to bring it up to ground floor.

"Alright, this should be fun."
Sam made sure her radio was off, and motioned for Madison to do the same, backing away from the door and drawing her weapon. While she wasn't expecting anything to be in the elevator, she wanted to be able to defend herself if something was. As the numbers dinged by, and the car came closer to their floor, she could feel the hairs on the back of her head stand up as the tension built. She would be grateful and more than a little surprised if there wasn't anything trying to kill them when the doors opened.

Seeing how Sam had been at the ready was a good sign. Griffin knew she could handle herself, and would always have reflexes to back up her actions. Even knowing that Vega had been coming up in the elevator, she still prepared herself. Once the lift did reach them, the doors opened, and his partner stood with his rifle down. "All clear. Only the sub level down there, not much room to move around. So long as we clear the rooms as we go, nothing should get the jump on us." He spoke, nodding from Arc and the two women to get on the elevator with him.
The quick ride down took about fifteen seconds, as they were only skipping one floor to get to the level the needed to be on. There had even still been power down here, which was a good thing, and made their job easier. A lack of blood or any dead giveaway in the first hallways was a little unsettling, because it meant they would be literally hunting down whatever was down here. In turn, that also meant they could do it right and by the book. No mishaps or complications, just good field work. Arc readied his SMG, and began moving forward quickly, pushing open side doors and checking them before moving onto the next. They didnt need to split up, but they could definitely divide and conquer with this setup.

Sam kept with Arc, motioning for Madison to follow Vega, keeping her pistol lowered and covering their backs as the men went into the rooms, making sure nothing came around and attacked them while they were busy clearing each room as they came to them. It was unsettling to know that nothing appeared to be either airborne or dangerous down here. What had happened to the other team then? Why was there no indication of weapons fire, or a fight of any kind?
"This is creepy. I don't like it, something is up."

Most if not all of the rooms had been offices of some kind, or so it seemed. It wasnt that hard to tell from all the computers. But the fact that there hadnt been any stairs access was strange. Of all the things to be thinking about, it was that. Madison clearly had her priorities wrong, but she had to come out and ask. "Where are we, exactly?" She responded to Sam about her bad feeling, and asked for some closure on where they were. Madison hadnt been in this part of an airport before, but it seemed very tight.
The unsettling nature of the search was enough to put Vega on high alert. His partner Arc, not so much. He always seemed to be on high alert, so there wasnt anything out of the norm with him. But if Vega got the shivers, then something was definitely up, Sam was right. "Center control. This is where most of the calls go out about lost luggage, plane routes, all the stuff that goes on in the background you dont see." Vega finished, poking inside of a security room. The green lights caught his attention, and Madison following suit, went in with him.
But as soon as she walked through the door, there was a loud noise, almost like the switch from a power unit. A second later, all of the lights went out, aside from the emergency exit signs, that lit up the corners. On top of this, however, was the worst of it. The door to the security room had closed shut, and clearly locked itself, the red light proving it. Madison was the first one at the door, peering through the slot at the top. "Sam? Get the door open!" She ordered, as if her friend could just magically reverse whatever just happened.
"Sh*t" Vega snapped, looking at the computer screen. It was on from emergency power, but it showed exactly what was going on. "Its a lockdown procedure. The security doors shut if theres a power failure, in case of a terrorist attack. This section is where they hold people until authorities arrive." The BSAA agent sat down at the computer, flicking through text that displayed in front of him. Arc and Sam mustve heard it from the other side, and he knew this. "Override switch must be somewhere in the generator room, Griffin. Step to it."

"Come on, let's get moving before something comes thinking they're canned lunch."
Sam smacked the door three times, getting the trapped duo's attention. They were going to be separated, and that meant she was relying on Griffin's partner to keep Madison safe. She wasn't sure how well she would keep her head if it came to shooting, but she knew the woman could keep her head in an emergency. She had to.
"Vega, you keep her safe. We'll be right back."
She let Griffin take the lead as they moved towards the generator room, the red lights making the corridor appear menacing, and almost elongating the shadows that anything could be hiding behind...
"Shh...look."
She thought she had heard it. Groaning, and she wasn't sure if the person making the sound was still in the land of the living or not. She brought up her pistol but didn't fire, motioning for Griffin to help her locate the sound she had heard. They weren't alone down here, and she knew it.

Knowing full well that his partner would put the TerraSave agents life before his own, Griffin didnt think anything less of the situation, and quickly went off with Sam. It might have been unfortunate circumstances, but at least they pair were save in the locked down room. Close quarters situations like this, especially in the dark, were best done with fewer people. Then there was less chance of friendly fire, and there was a strong possibility they would be firing their weapons sooner than anticipated if the noises they were hearing got any louder.
"I use a suppressor on my gun, let me take the first shot, if need be." He ordered. Griffin didnt want Sam to feel less useful, or like she wasnt as qualified for this sort of work, but they less noise the made the better, and both of them knew that. It was without a doubt something odd, and the noises werent human at all. Not to mention the smell, it was musty, not rot. What was even worse was there had been emergency lights, and they werent lighting up nearly as much as they should have, nor what they were in the previous rooms. It was almost as if there had been a thick fog in the air, which made him grateful that Sam had a hazmat suit on.
Shining the light around the corner, they came across the lit up symbol above a doorway with a sign that indicated it was the generator room. This was, however, and airport, and there would have been a large number of them backing up all the power. What one they were looking for was a mystery, but it would hopefully be more obvious once they opened the door. As it swung open, Griffin aimed his gun around, seeing the almost green smoke filling the room, and he was breathing it. Worse yet, he was stepping in something thick that covered the floor.

Sam shined her flashlight around, crossing her wrist with the one carrying her pistol. She followed Griffin into the room, checking behind them before coming into the eerie mist as well. When she felt something under her feet, she stopped and shined her light down.
What she saw made her skin crawl. It looked like some sort of moss, but it was black, and had an almost oily complexion. It seemed to pulse under her boots, as if it had a heartbeat. She didn't want to know what made it grow in the generator room, but they needed to get the power back online.
"I'll watch for anything coming from above. You want to keep an eye on the ground?"

Only a few instanced had Griffin seen anything like what was on the ground, but upon further inspection, it seemed to be moving up the walls. Not immediately, but over time, and by the looks of it, it would had to have been down here for a few hours at least. More questions entered his mind, but right now, the power was the priority, no matter the risk. The thing was, even if it concerned him anymore than it should have, there would be no telling how to combat something like this, or even what this was in the first place.
As Sam commented on it as well, he wanted to make sure to keep an eye on it as she walked, knowing full well that she was breathing in this stuff as well, yet she was pushing for the power generator. Scanning the floor, Arcian mustve came to the same conclusion Sam did, but he was the first to say it out loud. "It gets thicker the further in we go. Im willing to bet its coming from the power room, I can see it at the back behind that door." Griffin spoke, motioning to the steel door not far from them. It was without a doubt the power room, where they needed to get to, and the stuff was growing under it as well. Almost sealing up the door, and who knew what would happen once they opened it up.

"I get the door, you take down whatever jumps out at us."
Sam gave him a nervous smile and moved to the door, checking the ceiling and around their immediate vicinity before she placed her back against the wall to the power room. She was about to move again when her foot hit something metallic. She looked down, and then kicked a little harder, dislodging a pistol from the floor. She knelt down and picked it up, giving Griffin a worried look as she ejected the clip, counting four shots fired off. She checked to make sure the barrel was clear, and then put the gun into the back of her waistband on her suit.
"I think we may have found out what happened to the other team."

Nothing immediate came out as the door opened, and Sam was already on top of the situation, as expected. Griffin stilled raised his weapon, ready to fire, but he had a feeling nothing was going to happen if it hadnt already. When they found the gun, it was very apparent what happened to the other team. "Youre right. Whatever this is, definitely got the better of them. But they were down here only yesterday, and this looks like its been growing on top of their remains..." He spoke, pointing out the few parts sticking out from the overgrowth. If they were counting right, there were all four of the team members here in this room, probably trying to get the power on. Or off, depending on how things went down.
"...But given the time frame, whatever this is grows faster then anything ever seen. I say we take a sample, and ill bring it in for investigation. Get the power going, and ill get to it." Griffin pulled out a little plastic baggy. It didnt seem like anything scientific, or fancy, but it would do the job. Its what the BSAA used, not a crime scene investigation team. Cross contamination didnt matter, there wouldve already been the DNA of the rest of the team on everything anyways. Using his knife, Griffin broke away a good chunk from the scab like floor, and slipped it inside. But he was almost expecting something to happen when he did.

"Okay, let's just get the hell out of here. This is starting to give me the creeps. Too many YouTube videos about cheerleaders and tentacles, you know?"
Sam gave him a cheeky smile, and hoped it helped hide the fear she felt coursing through her body. As she approached the power generator, she kept thinking about the team that had been down here before. What killed them? Was it the strange moss growing underfoot? Was it something else down here? She tried not to think about it too much as she put her hands on the pressure handle that would help jump start the system. Her hand was trembling, and she needed to focus on the task at hand.
"Come on, work."

Now safely tucked away inside the baggy, he zipped it closed, placing it in the pouch on his side. Griffin was almost laughing at Sam, but knew that she was just doing what she did when under pressure. He didnt know her all too well, but well enough to know she was a survivor for a reason. If she was joking, it was for a good reason, too. As he seen that she had been getting the power going, Griffin figured hed help, even if it wasnt needed. Luckily nothing had been growing over the controls.
Back in the locked room, Vega was slamming the butt stock of his gun against the glass, over and over. Madison was starting to get a little annoyed, because she knew that he was well aware it wasnt going to break. "Just, can you not? For like, a minute? Theyre gonna get the power on, just calm down." She said, trying to take control of the situation. Vega was the one looking after her, not the other way around, and it seemed now there was going to be a little bit of bickering. "Listen here. I am calm. This is me working on plan B. Windows big enough for you to fit through, I just need to break it..." He trailed, giving it another good slam. But as he did, there was a dark figure passing. At least he thought it was. Before he could get the light up, it was gone. "What? Is it them?" Madison question, but was met with a raised hand, a sign that said keep quiet. Vega knew something else was down here with them, on the other side of the glass. They were radio silent, so there was no warning Griffin and Sam, either.
