Polly gathered her items and got them out of the radio tower before the woman made a scene. She was furious that they had waited until they were gone to try this trick. So help her if there was someone in their home when they got back Katy's would burn it to the ground. She knew that was a possibility but didn't want to speak of it just yet.

Polly was wondering to herself how long it would be before they did return home. Certainly a few weeks. She didn't want to risk traveling in case Cassandra was coming with them. What if she gave birth while they were on the road? No she, or rather, they would have to make sure she was able to travel before they did something like that. Or if she was staying here at least making sure the woman and Jake were able to take care of themselves.

Polly knew Katya was worried about her adopted father. She did want to go home and handle the situation, but she could wait a little longer if she needed to. This was important to Katya, which made it important to her.

Polly tried to keep the laughter from her eyes, but it showed through despite her best efforts. She had no doubts in her mind that the woman would literally tear her way through the settlement to find the cowards that had tried to banish them. She didn't value their lives very highly at the moment, and she supposed that wasn't a bad thing.

"Well, I'm not hearing any shooting, screaming or sounds of violence. Are you sure your family is home?"
Polly gave Katya a sassy grin before knocking on the door. She didn't want to get shot full of holes if she could avoid it, and she had the feeling surprising the man would guarantee that happened. When nothing happened she opened the door slowly, peeking her head in to make sure the coast was clear.

Suddenly a shotgun blast sounded behind the house, and jakes jelping and cursing followed, with a rather healthy dose of laughter from what sounded like aleksander and cassandra.

Polly closed the front door, going around to the side of the house and making as much noise as she could along the way. She didn't want to take a shotgun blast to the face because she snuck up on anyone.

"Shooting at jake with salt." Cassandra said grinning, jake in the distance with protective wear and hopping with his hands on his ass, "just shot his ass."

While Polly was certain there was a good reason for it, she was at least somewhat curious as to why he was being shot at with rock salt, and what he had done to deserve it. Knowing Jake, she was certain whatever it was at least deserved this much punishment.
"Is everyone going to get a turn, or is this just for Cassandra?"
