cassandra handed the shotgun to katya, who then offered it to polly with a grin.

Polly took the shotgun and racked the pump, ejecting the spent shell and leveling it at the man's chest. She hesitated, looking over at Katya and grinning. She was going to make this punishment last, something she had learned from the warrior woman.
"We're sure the shells are rock salt, right? This could be messy if they aren't."

Polly leveled the shotgun back at Jake and smiled as she closed one eye, and pulled eh trigger, aiming around the knees, knowing the recoil would make the shot climb higher than where she aimed. Right in the stomach, just where she was aiming.

all smiled as Jake crumpled over gasping for breath. Katya kissed polly and took the shotgun before pumping another round into the chamber and knocking jake over with the next salt shell.

Polly laughed as Jake laid on the ground, wondering to herself when she started thinking of this as fun. Before she met Katya she would never have done something like that. She had been changed in more ways than she realized when the warrior woman had come into her life. She loved her, and was glad she had been rescued by her. She had a new extended family. Sure they were a little different than what she was used to, but she was proud to be a part of them.

Polly blushed heavily, and closed her eyes, letting the woman hold her. It felt nice, normal to be in her arms. She was safe, and loved. That was all that really mattered to her at the moment. She could have stayed in the woman's arms, but she knew they had other things that needed to be done besides shooting Jake. While fun, it was still keeping them from doing more important things.
"So, do you want to tell them the good news, or do you want me to let them know what the council is up to?"

Polly settled into Katya's arms and calmly relayed the radio message she had received earlier, and how she was planning on handling the situation once they got home. She really didn't think they were going to try and enforce it once they were outside the gates. The entire community knew them, there was no way they would stand for such a thing.

There wasn't a doubt in Polly's head that the woman would definitely use the weapon if the opportunity presented itself, and she was going to do her best to keep that from happening. These were their neighbors and friends, and she didn't want anyone getting hurt, or worse, if she could avoid it.
"Just promise me we won't use it unless we have to?"
